Their estimates had no relationship to their price. They broke furniture and elected to reapir an antique chair without asking us and refused to pay us despite a contract that was supposed to insure us against loss and damage. They took 2 unauthorized payments of our Mastercard without advising us. Never use these movers.

I haven't had a good experience with movers before but that all changed with Hudson! They were on time, efficient and everything was moved into my new place with no damage. The whole team including the administrators were fantastic through this entire process. My move was booked before Covid-19 changed the way the world works. I was anxious about whether or not the move would still happen, and if so would it be done safely for me and the moving team. Hudson already had a Covid-19 plan to share with my new building demonstrating they had a plan to keep everyone involved in the move safe. In these uncertain times I'm very grateful to Hudson for their professionalism and for putting my mind at ease.

We used Hudson Movers to move from our bungalow in Scarborough to a condo. As we unpacked and moved into our new life we missed many things that we know were packed onto the truck. Curtain rods gone! No tea and tea brewing equipment made it into our new house but we packed it all so carefully. Sewing supplies, missing! Etc! The company made a token payment, then stopped responding at all. Walk through the logic - only two possibilities are possible. Boxes and items were stolen or somehow lost. We wouldn’t use Hudson Movers again, ever!

We had to make this move while still living in LA, and it wasn't an easy move, we were downsizing from our family home, with some of our stuff staying behind sold to the new owners, while other items were going to our cottage, and then other items coming to the new condo. They managed everything from sorting, packing and delivering with ease and professionalism. I hope I don't move again any time soon, but if I had to I would absolutely hire Hudson Movers again. Brilliant job done.

Hudson Movers were contracted on my behalf by a third party company in the US to handle the deliver of a massive dining room table that I had purchased. This is not their usual commission, delivering a single high value item, however from my personal experience, you'd never know it! The delivery team led by Randy was impeccable! I literally cannot express how happy i was with the service and professionalism they provided. They used everything at their disposal to ensure that no damage was done to the table during the move, I've never seen anything so well packaged and protected. By some wizardry they were able to get this 8'x5' table into my elevator and into my unit without a single nick or dent! At the end of everything they even helped me to strip the packing material, clean the unit and position the table in the exact spot were I wanted it. TL;DR Hudson Movers are an incredible and professional company, I would recommend them to anyone and I WILL be using them for my next full move.

Moving a senior parent with more than 50 years of life stuff is never easy. However Hudson was the only company that was honest, professional and very responsive when I was looking to book a moving company. From Pat the sales person who was truthful about the costs. Quotes from other companies stated that the price “could change the day of the move”. That wasn’t ever Pat. He explained how Hudson charges. How they were operating during COVID-19- where they had very strict protocols to keep everyone safe. There was Sherry from the Customer Service team who managed the logistics of the move before, during and after. Her calm demeanour made it the entire experience easy. The day of the move Nik, Daniel, Mike W. and Zach showed up and they were professional, friendly and took away the stress of the day. They team came in and protected the space and were so very efficient. They even made light work of the piano. Then on the other side, even with the complexity of getting the elevator set up, they unloaded and got my parent set up so quickly. We have all heard about those horror stories of moving companies that hold your stuff hostage, or break your items, or have a move team that are skilled at what they do. This isn’t Hudson. They are great at what they do and it is understood why they have been in business since 1923. They are great.

Moved 1/2 hour away and the movers moved all the cartons that we had packed as well as furniture and painting. They were very pleasant, organized and efficient. The billing was done without any overcharges for time or container use. I was pleasantly surprised by the bill as it was quite accurate. Yesterday I had the pleasure of being on site while Hudson Movers came to move a client of mine. The day got off to a great start as the crew arrived exactly at 9am on the dot which was impressive considering Toronto traffic. The crew I had was Randy, Dennis, Chris and Jay. They worked extremely well together and I was overly impressed with the care they took in protecting each item while still remaining efficient. They were so easy to deal with, took requests seamlessly and the move finished 2 hours under what I had initially expected without any damage to a single item or hallway. Overall I was truly impressed with how punctual, professional, kind and efficient this crew way. Will definitely be using them again.

Broke a large table, didn't deliver it, and then provided no updates on its repair unless asked. We are still waiting for it. They also switched our long scheduled move-in time just before it was meant to begin -- presumably to fit another in. I would very strongly advise using this moving company. We have spent less on much better movers.

We used Hudson Movers to manage the move on my in-laws from a house they lived in for nearly 40 years to a new home. In understanding what was involved this was going to be a fairly involved task with countless pieces of furniture which have sentimental value as well as other items with tangible value the team Hudson Movers sent were literally SECOND TO NONE. There is not a single part of the move which I could find fault in. The team of movers which were sent had levels of courtesy and professionalize I could have never predicted. The move went from 8:30am until the final items were unloaded and assembled in the new home near 9pm and their team of movers were positive and energized the entire day. I have worked through 2 other moves recently with other family members and after experiencing this, there is no other moving company I would ever call other than Hudson Movers. If you are looking to move, regardless of the scale or distance, you should have confidence that Hudson Movers will provide you the highest level of service, and the highest levels of satisfaction. I usually do not write online reviews, but I had to come online to write this review because I never knew such service would be possible for a move. The team leader for our move was Chris, and the rest of the team was Carlos, Jay and Anthony. All four of them deserve the credit for an immaculately manage moved. THANK YOU HUDSON MOVERS.

I was really pleased with the service from Hudson. My delivery landed in the middle of the worst snow storm Toronto has seen in 10 years and they stayed on top of the situation and got me my stuff as soon as possible. Their delivery team was friendly, professional and they liked my dogs. All around a great experience. I'd use them again and I'd recommend them to anyone. UPDATE: I used them for a second move with a different team and, once again, it was great service, on time, and hardworking. I can't recommend them too highly.

I moved from Toronto to Sherbrooke, PQ on August 29, 2019. It was a move that took 5 days, and the movers were excellent in every way. The 2 ladies that came to packed were fast and professional and Chris's crew who loaded the truck were pleasant ant they took very good care of my furniture. Then I met Chris crew in Sherbrooke (Mike & Joshua), again they unloaded my furniture and unpacked my dishes, put everything in it's place. It was nice to have had the same crew all the way. Having had a terrible experience with the previous movers, it was wonderful to have had such a pleasant move. Moving is very stressful, specially alone and long distance, but those men were so caring, polite etc. Thank you Paul Gatt and Marguerite for looking after me and to my surprise the assessment was a bit cheaper. Would not hesitate to use Hudson movers again.

We used Hudson for a recent move to storage and then return home after 6 months. The team of movers was great both directions, but accidents do happen. The management of Hudson did not take ANY responsibility for the items broken on each move day, and they were not at all reasonable when we tried to speak to them about it. We will never use this company again. Beware.

As soon as we had a date for our move, we called Hudson Movers and arranged for Pat to come out and provide an estimate. Pat spent over an hour with us and did a thorough review of our house and provided an detailed estimate which was very reasonable based on the size of our move. Every time I had a question about the move logistics prior to the move, Pat was extremely responsive and helpful. The team of Randy, Jordan, Carlos and Mike arrived at the time promised and after a quick walk through, got right to work. They were extremely professional and efficient and took extreme care with all of our belongings. Before they started the move, they wrapped the door frames and banisters with heavy blankets, and the laid down mats throughout the house and on the stairs so that our floors were all protected. If they took breaks, they were quick 5 minute breaks -- they worked long hours (including overtime) by completing our planned three day move in two days. We were extremely pleased with every aspect of our move. We would highly recommend Hudson Movers and wouldn't think twice about using them again. Not only was the move completed ahead of the planned schedule, our costs came in under budget. Thank you Randy, Jordan, Carlos, Mike and Pat you are a terrific team and we were very lucky to have you manage our move.

The good news. The movers were themselves were very nice people to deal with. The BAD NEWS. The Managers take ZERO RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEIR PRODUCT. The packers were horrible. A total disaster. Many items are missing and are presumed stolen by the packers. Packed over all 100 items to massive boxes by just stuffing the items into the box. They weighed over 50 lbs and could barely be moved. Unpacking meant putting anything anywhere. Do not use these people. They take ZERO RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEIR WORK PRODUCT. YOU ARE LIKELY TO END UP WITH DAMAGED GOODS, MISSING GOODS AND WORSE. FIND SOMEONE ELSE.

My daughter was moving to a different province. Hudson Movers Ltd helped us the entire way, we needed to use a different carrier to move outside of Ontario. The third party carrier had given Hudson Movers a window of time in which they expected to deliver in the new province. Hudson Movers showed up on time with quality staff to pick up in Ontario. It was very hard to pin down the exact date the other carrier would deliver as they needed to coordinate on their end. Flights were booked to arrive on a certain date - Sherry Dardaine and Dave Stewart did everything possible to make sure the other carrier would deliver when we arrived. We moved December 2020 with Hudson Movers and had an incredible experience. They treated our family and furniture like royalty and offered what i would call a "white glove" experience. The crew was on time, friendly and efficient. Both the place we moved out of and our new home were left spotless and without damage. Floor runners (mats) were used to keep the floors /carpets clean. They also stayed late after the move to ensure we were happy with the placement of everything and offered to move anything around if we needed. I would HIGHLY recommend this company to anyone looking for a stress free move!

If you want to be ripped off with such things as an $120 admin fee, a fuel surcharge on top of their travel time, $95 for a cardboard TV box and insane packing fees then go ahead and flush your money down the toilet. Prior to moving, they sent someone to provide me with an estimate. At that point I had no place to go and intended to move all my furniture into their storage facility and my quote included one month storage. However, I found a new place to live prior to moving and ended up selling all my furniture. Despite only having a desk and boxes, Hudson gauged me and my move cost the same amount as the original estimate even though I had no furniture nor required any storage. Hudson movers are a dishonest company that will do whatever they can to make your bill as high as possible. They are crooks and I will never use them again.

This is a five star company, from the first meeting with Pat to get a true estimate and not a four hour total with two men and a truck,(not the company). He was honest and straight forward about the actual cost of a full day's work. It just got better with the fabulous crew Randy, Mike and Denis it you want real professional workers ask for them specifically. I didn't know them in the beginning so I don't know if it was the luck of the draw or they felt compassion for my distress and sent the best. These guys were pleasant. professional and polite. The carried all the boxes on the backs worked the buddy system to move the furniture and my prize dolphin coffee table was handle with extra care and lots of moving pads and tape. It arrive in perfect condition. The bed was dismantled and reassembled in a matter of minutes, Each room was emptied meticulously as I followed them with the vacuuming. They were the tremendous trio. Keeping them together is a smooth operation for all concerned. They deserve more than great praises. more like raises.... Take care guys and keep up the good work.

They all did a FIRST CLASS job, and even saying that is more or less an understatement. Both my father and I were blown away by their good work, their attentiveness, their punctuality, not to mention their professionalism and kind demeanor. For what was a fairly stressful move, you guys went above and beyond to make it as easy and as smooth as possible. (not to mention coming in under the quoted budget too). I'd never use anyone else, and will VERY highly recommend to anyone looking and asking for moving and moving related help.

Randy and his boys did my mover without a hitch professional and got everything done had originally hired metropolitan movers and will not make that mistake again will call Hudson first. Metropolitan cancelled after they saw what they had to move then tried to charge my cc 640.00 after they didn’t do the move and when metropolitan got there they tried to started adding additional charges for moving a bbq a freezer and dishwasher don’t use metropolitan movers they are nothing but scam artists. From start to finish they provided a quality move and there were no damages or problems of any kind.
