Don't bother getting the insurance. If they break anything they wont pay. Just threw my neighbours boxes down, with no regard for the contents and when something came up broken they refused to pay. 0-stars. Regarding your response, your company didn't pack anything in the move so why did you suggest and take money for the insurance if you know "in bold" it says you're not covered for anything you didn't pack? That's fraud.

Disappointing service prior to the move. Informed them of my moving date and had someone come to my house and provide a quote. After inspecting, they said I will receive the quote by email that day. I didn’t get the quote, so I emailed the following morning to ask. Then they sent the quote and I emailed back saying I accept within about 5 minutes. Next email I get says “we can’t do your move anymore, we’re all booked up that day”. What else was I supposed to do in this situation? I accepted the quote as soon as I received it. Why bother even sending it if you know you’re booked up? This left me scrambling calling several other moving companies to get booked. My advice would be to give them a deposit or something even before you get a quote. Otherwise you could be just wasting your time.

Excellent Service... Donna Murray emailed me well in advance ensuring all paper work formalities are completed. she checked the paper work and confirmed all is in order. Very pleasent to deal with. Taylor ensured that I do not have to go to customs to clear the shipment. They provided the service without a charge. Once the shipment arrived, I was kept in the loop on all formalities. Delivery date was notified in advance. The delivery guys were courtious. Very good experience and would highly recommend using Taylor.

When I was preparing myself to move to Dhaka, Bangladesh this past summer, it was a given that I would choose Taylor Moving and Storage. Growing up, my father was transferred to various locations throughout Ontario and Nova Scotia. The movers of choice were always Mayflower/Taylor Moving. Moving within the country has its challenges, but unless you have moved to the other side of the world, you don't comprehend the level of preparation that is required. I called Taylor, spoke to Arthur and Jennifer and it was like smooth sailing. I was given a quote, a personable and talented wrapper, packer and sorter came, took my things and the cargo was ready to go! Last Thursday, my shipment finally came from Canada to Dhaka-everything in tact! You cannot go wrong with this company: pre-care, move and post-care-they are the best. I am settled in this interesting part of the world with treasures from home, all because of the fine people at Taylor. I would not go with any other company. It's a family tradition-Taylor moves us!

Not so happy with the fact that they "couldn't" get a twin size bed downstairs and the handymen could (without damaging anything) and it was too late cause the move had already been gone. So I'm left without that bed.

Shocked by how awful this experience was. We had Taylor do our moving five years ago, and had only the greatest things to say. This move we had a quote from Kingsley, and found him likeable enough but very scattered and disorganized. He had trouble keeping us straight with other clients, and had an odd communication style that made the details of the quote confusing. He encouraged us to discuss the rate and to get back to him, and then immediately gave our date away. When I called in to discuss this experience I was transferred to accounting, and when I asked for a manager or someone more senior to speak with I am sorry to say that she pretended she couldn't hear me on the phone. Was this business sold recently? What happened? You used to be good Taylor Moving. We are so disappointed.

Taylor international helped me coordinate a move between Vancouver, BC and Austria. They were quick at responding when I had questions, were competitive as far as rates go, and were efficient and on-time on the scheduled moving day. Transit time was quoted as 10-14 weeks, and the goods arrived exactly 10 weeks after they left Vancouver. Arthur, Linda and Carol were all great to work with. I would definitely recommend them.

Was offered a job interview at this company, confirmed over the phone the day before with a man i won't name. I literally pull into the driving lot and see a man with a suit on talking to some workers who i assume is probably the same man, and when i go in and fill out the employment forms in the front the receptionist calls him and she says " he had to leave on a very important matter". They told me they would call me the next day to reschedule my interview and NEVER called me back. Very unprofessional.

They were one of the few movers that does cross-border move from Canada to west coast US (Toronto->San Francisco). I had the smallest move based on weight <2100lb and was quoted a very competitive price (I called many places). I paid extra for my workstation computer custom packed by them and insured and it arrived in pristine condition. The crew in Toronto was excellent. They were on-time, efficient, and very friendly. I even learned a few unique lifting techniques that I've never seen before. The customer service communication was speedy, responsive and professional throughout the entire move. Easily reachable by phone or E-mail. Having said that, the biggest area that can use some improvement is on the US side. I know their control over that is most likely limited because the work is likely partnered with a US company. My desk arrived with a broken leg, and the US movers spoke little English. Regardless they were still friendly and efficient. Taylor Moving dealt with the insurance claim for the broken desk quickly and I was happy with the outcome. Overall I'm very satisfied with the move. I would highly recommend to anyone, especially if you are moving cross-border.

From the in home quote to the day of the move, my experience with Taylor movers was 10/10. I was happy with my quote, had a great deal of questions about the process answered, and received my emailed quote promptly with a clear breakdown of the services and charges. I was able to take advantage of the box program where I picked up boxes from Taylor and will return all boxes for a full refund and thus dont need to pay for any of my moving boxes when all is said and done. Finally, when moving day came, my movers were kind, professional and easy to work with. I felt confident with their work and they finished up in less time than originally anticipated. We made a big move from Toronto to Lima - Perú, the employee came to check our stuff (it was mainly clothes and some books, not a lot of furniture), everything was good until the day the came to pack, the guy packing was taking several smoking breaks and finally finished packing, when our stuff arrived to Lima we were missing our vacuum cleaner and all of our clothes (I mean all of them, 72 boxes in total) smelled like stale cigarette and had to be washed because the smell was unbearable so we ended up spending more overall, never again.

It was an unmitigated disaster. They arrived over an hour late, staff were bickering from the moment they arrived, one guy walked off the job in the middle of the move; they were smoking in the back of the truck and our daughter has severe allergies. Horrible work ethic, lots of damage claims but what really topped it off is when Russ Taylor wrote me to tell me that he would not honour a claim for the box of meticulously packed chandelier bulbs ( with bubble wrap) was crushed. The box was practically destroyed. He basically said read the fine print. 3 weeks and 4 calls to have them pick up their boxes and crates they left behind. Not good Russ

Taylor Moving and Storage arranged the shipment of my goods from [a different] storage facility in Toronto to Los Angeles. I was unsure how my goods would get across the border but my contact, Kim, was incredible! She provided, and was available to assist with, all of the paperwork needed so that when the driver was ready to cross he had everything. The driver picked up and packed all of my things from my storage unit in Toronto, and arranged delivery with me in Los Angeles a day ahead of schedule! The delivery was seamless - Gord and his team were swift and careful with my belonging. They were in and out within an hour! The entire time both Kim, and the driver Gord, were readily available to answer all of my questions and kept me updated on delivery status. I cannot speak to value for price, as it was all arranged and paid for by my company.

They underestimated how long it was going to take especially when I asked several times that it seems like it needs to be longer. The movers that came, only 1 have the strength to move things.. the other two were awful! They broke a couple of things and dropped my TV. The movers scratched up my hardwood floors in about 10 places and dinged up my walls in about 30 places. The people from Taylor dealing with coordinating all the repairs were fantastic though. It took about 2 months to complete 95% of the repairs and not everything was done because it would require a lot more work to fix dents in the hardwood (vs the scratches). I decided not to complete them.. but again they gave me a little money back since everything was not done. I definitely would not recommend this place.

They made a professional impression right from the start when they requested a video tour of my apartment to make an accurate estimate of the costs. After that I was guided through all the necessary steps like deposit payments, custom forms, scheduling of delivery, etc. On pick-up day and delivery day the crews showed up on time and handled my furniture and moving boxes with care. I used their storage option to delay delivery until I found a new apartment, which was reasonably priced. I did not make use of their packing services, since I preferred to pack my own boxes. Throughout the process my person of contact at Taylor Moving (Tawny Irvine) was very responsive and happy to clarify various things for me. I can definitely recommend using Taylor Moving for a cross-border move!

My move has been horrible, everything up to the move was good then they truck shows up missing half the load. The men were excellent bit the support from the office was and is horrible he tried calling no answer I called left 3 messages and still have not heard back especially as the call in number says we will get back to you, very If this is how someone takes care of there customers who have fully paid for a service and get no answers back from multiple phone calls for something only half finished is beyond ridiculous. I would not and will not recommend them to anyone.

My recent experience was good. Due to one individual some of my furniture got damaged. He was always trying to show off that he could do the lifting all on his own. I have an adjustable bed and he carried it by himself, knocked 2 walls. These beds are expensive and nothing to say for him doing it on his own and getting hurt. Hutch got damaged due to not being wrapped up correctly. My other two men were great. We are know that movers are strong, but proving this to the client can sometimes be debtremental to the clients. No need to prove their strength. The other mover is there is help.

Mark Hargreaves was our first contact with Taylor when he came to quote on our move from Ontario to Quebec. With a state of the art tablet he went from room to room estimating the weight of all our possessions. Throughout the process he reassured us how each larger piece would be wrapped/handled to prevent damage. He was incredibly personable & made us feel confident with Taylor. On the day of our move 2 stellar young men, Mike & Noland, appeared & worked ceaselessly until everything was loaded. It was all I could do to make them stop for coffee. We were fortunate that they were also the ones to be driving the truck to Quebec so again they did a brilliant job of unloading. The following day Mike texted me that he had found a caster to a bed while he was cleaning out the truck & offered to drop it off. We discovered in unpacking there was a small hinge missing from an IKEA glass case. He found that as well & dropped both items off! We are delighted we chose Taylor to move us. Yes, we had some broken glass on 2 corner cabinets but it is easily fixed. Yes, it turned out to be a little more expensive than the quote but we had anticipated that from the beginning. Throughout Taylor was professional & caring. Not only would we use them again we would also recommend them to all our friends! Thank you, Taylor, for taking such good care of us during such a traumatic time.

I just moved from Canada to NC. Taylor made the move so easy. The company also contacted another company to have my car shipped down. The 3 guys assigned to my move were on time, very professional, friendly and wasted no time getting down to work packing up my apartment. They made the move so easy and stress free. The drop off of my belongs was just as good. A friendly couple were right on schedule and transferred my belongings from the big rig to a smaller Uhaul truck. They had scoped out where they were going the night before drop of and decided it would be easier to bring my stuff in a smaller truck then the big one. I couldn’t be happier with the overall experience of my out of country move. I anticipate my car being shipped will be as good of an experience. I would highly recommend this company any day and will definitely use them again!

Taylor Moving advertises their exclusive box program but neglects to mention that if you pack your own belongings it voids any warranty for delivery of undamaged goods. Even though a few containers were dropped by their movers, Taylor was quick to point out that their contract states that any item packed by the owner is not covered. So much for the exclusive box program. Read the contract carefully. We've used Taylor in the past but won't be using them again.

I would just like to say thank you to Arthur and Laura at Taylor Moving with a shipment I had from Canada to the UK. Both were an absolute pleasure to work with and gave very reasonable quotes. Anyone thinking of using a mover but might have concerns ... don't worry, you are in safe hands here. This is a moving company that clearly care about their clients being happy and not just the bottom line. That's who you want looking after your belongings!! I've had nothing but problems with other moving companies that I have used. This is the first time nothing has gone wrong. There was an issue w customs/duty but the sister company they used in the UK is just as wonderful and took care of it. I wish I would have used Taylor for my initial move. Would've been way less of a headache! By far the least stressful moving experience I've ever had. Thanks so much!

The job took longer than originally expected, but that price delta was eaten by Taylor. They stuck to their original pricing despite needing extra man hours to complete the job. I was dealing with these movers in the building I live in. They were extremely rude to me while I was walking through the entrance. I held the door for them at one point and they gave me a strange look. No manners. I saw them leave boxes in the hallway so I informed security. I overheard security telling them multiple times to not leave items in the hallway, but they did not care since they continued leaving items in the hallway. We have a blind person in the building and items are prohibited in the corridors at all times. The movers were informed of this but didn't care about the well being of a resident. This is completely unacceptable. Then as I was leaving the building later on, I saw one of the workers sitting in front of the elevator. I waited about 20 minutes, then I confronted him about not sitting around since this hurts the integrity of the building and your company. He was very rude and confrontational telling me I did not have the right to tell him to move. I was making a suggestion for the betterment of him and his company and he practically bit off my head. This company obviously hires people that just don't care about anything. I'm a realtor and I have never seen such unprofessional behaviour in my life. I will be telling my friends and family of my experience with Taylor Moving and Storage. I have picture of the employee sitting there doing nothing, in case the company actually cares....

Full disclosure - I did not use this company and here's why. I had messaged Taylor Moving about my move in a few weeks to receive a quote. They responded promptly and a few days later a consultant came and looked at my place. I have quite literally 7 large items that need moving and 2 months storage, and that is all. The consultant quoted me a minimum of four hours for the move out (which is more than other companies) and claimed in the estimate a weight of 1500lbs for storage, which it would be significantly less than. He then proceeded to tell me that my move in at my new home would be a minimum of 6 hours work because it is the end of the month. I was furious at that and called him out on charging for what will likely be 6 times the amount of time needed for the move in. He said it was good business of him to do and that he could easily get that use out of his truck with someone else. At that point I told him that he was basically telling me my business wasn't good enough for him, to which he responded: "Well, yeah." I showed him the door and that was the end of it. The quote for the move out, storage, and move in of two couches, a bed, a dresser, a nightstand, a bookshelf, and an elliptical machine was over $1800. I believe he inflated the price purely because he didn't want my business, but I am making sure that everyone I know avoids this company based on the sheer arrogance and lack of customer care. Good riddance.

Unfortunately they were not covered for replacement because they were owner packed. What a terrible shame. The bill was also 400 dollars more than the quote. We moved from a house in the suburbs to a downtown Toronto condo and the team were pros with the elevator load. The people moving at the condo before us used a less reputable moving company that ran late and damaged the elevator. Our Taylor team were absolute pros compared to them. Good work! I would definitely use again and will be telling anyone I know to use this service. I have done at least 8 moves in 10 years and going forward it will be only Taylor. The guys were 15 min early and the elevator was not ready yet so they walked around the building with there equipment to get started. They did not waste anytime, which is important due to the fact you are paying by time. They were very polite and went the extra mile taking care of my belongings. I am very particular with my stuff and I was at ease. They wrapped everything up and made sure my good wood furniture was unharmed. Debbie helped me right off the bat. We have moved twice in less than three years and also shipped some furniture to our son in B.C. and we used Taylor Moving all three times. The two local moves went well - the packers were very careful with our things and the moving crews were friendly and professional. The long distance move was trickier as it was a partial load that had to be combined with other loads so an exact arrival date could not be established. It showed up much earlier than we had hoped which was great. In an industry where the end result is so dependent on who actually shows up to do your move, all of the staff from Taylor have been consistently good. After three successful moves, this cannot be luck! Taylor has obviously developed good hiring practices which you will benefit from when you select them for your move. I would not hesitate to recommend Taylor Moving and Storage for local and long distance moves.

Best move ever! Robbie, Alex and Alex were friendly, efficient, helpful, careful and considerate. I was very worried about moving during this pandemic because I am at fairly high risk, but they did everything possible to keep me safe. I had hand sanitizer and masks, but they brought their own and WORE them! Robbie's mask broke at one point and he was very concerned about my safety so he asked for one of the additional masks right away. They laid down floor matting everywhere and were careful not to ding the walls. Alex noticed that a chair arm was a bit wobbly and ensured me that they would take extra care. Robiie made sure that everything went in the correct place and that I was happy with where they put things. He put the bed back together and the china closet shelves in - something the last movers did not do! They were efficient and finished on time, so the estimate was spot on. I highly recommend this firm and would definitely use them again - something I hope to never have to do:)

Kim Bannister and the entire team at Taylor Moving is amazing! Fall 2017 my husband accepted a work transfer from Guelph, Ontario to Florence, Kentucky. Not only was it an International move (which requires skill and knowledge to orchestrate smoothly) but it also involved a multi-step moving/storage process. Half our our belongings were accompanying us to a temporary rental condo while the other half needed to be placed in a climate-controlled storage facility ( in the nearby Cincinnati area) until we took a permanent residence. Almost a year to the date, we reconnected with Kim at Taylor Moving and with Andy Mayer at their area partner, Specialty Storage Company (Milford, Ohio) to move ALL of our rental/storage belongings into our new home. In the time of Covid, sometimes it's a pretty big leap of faith to believe that people will do what they said they would do, especially when the job is so time sensitive. I made that leap with Taylor and I'm writing to say that I couldn't be more impressed with the service we have received from this company. We were making the move from California to Ontario and everything had to be done virtually and while I am confident in online services we had no room for changes because of flights to bring us home to Canada. The packers and loaders were not only on time, they were early! They made me feel total confidence that my life, which is really what they were packing up, was going to arrive safely on the other end.
