I've been here a couple times and have had nothing but good things to say about Davey Gravel. Picked up a yard of top soil in my single axle trailer, then about a month later needed some play sand/brick sand. The man at the counter was nice enough to do the calculations and tell me how much I needed. He also suggested that I order a dump truck because the quantity I needed would require 5 runs with my trailer. I'm glad he made the suggestion because it worked out to less delivered than hauling the load myself.

Great service! Even better Product! I called and was given advice in what product best suited my job. The delivery arrived only a few hours after my call which I was astounded by. The delivery worker was friendly and helpful, dropping the product off in the exact spot I needed and he even gave me advice for products I should use in future orders. 100% would suggest using Davey. The product and service speaks for itself.

Spent thousands over the last few years but I have gone away from buying local. ..I like Ted and the yard staff are nice but the office staff need to drop the attitude. I've been over paying for years but figured keep my money local but the prices just keep going up ...you can pay a trucking fee for 1km the same as 20 kms away. ... Ive started buying back out of Barrie ...topsoil is allot cheaper and better and I get 22 tons not 15 for $350 cash.... Ted really didn't do great deals either for contractors so best to shop around even for a home owner your over paying.

Would have gave 5 stars but... Went there with truck to get a yard of triple mix. Phoned first. $50. Sure no problem. Go to cash window and hand the lady $60 cash. Gives reciept and thats it. I said how about change and says its $60. I didnt bother explainingher basic math. 1 star gone Went to get a yard of topsoil and thats a light yard. Ive got lots of loads before elsewhere but thats light. Pic is of load not touched yet. Will give it that topsoil seems like good quality.

Mulch is excellent, topsoil is awful. We ordered a dump truck of topsoil as the base for a new lawn. The soil we received was a heavy clay, took forever to shovel and spread and turned out to be full of weeds which choked out all the new grass seed and spread into the existing lawn. When I called to let them know, one of the landscape architects came out to take a look and told me that the soil comes from farm fields and so you're basically taking a gamble that it will be workable. He refused point blank to offer any kind of help to clean it up or give a discount on future product. This used to be our go-to place for gravel, mulch etc. but we'll be shopping elsewhere from now on.

EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE, PRODUCT AND PRICES. I ordered a truck load of rock, to be delivered, and I ordered the wrong size. Not only did the driver return it and bring the right size rock, Davey did not charge us the extra delivery fee. We live in Washago and that is quite a distance for them to forgive.

Zero star!!!! I just bought myself a brand new vehicle!! Not even two weeks old!!!!! My vehicle was heading home tuesday morning at 8:45 am today with my family and we passed four of their trucks on a paved road doing 80 km/hr !!!My front windshield was cracked!! called company to see how we could solve problem they didnt seem to care and said call your insurance! No sympathy or apologies given! Happythanks giving to you!! Im glad my newborn baby and husband are ok!!
