We booked 2BM to move us within Edmonton on July 27, giving us a few days afterward to do a deep cleaning on our old place. We were told they would arrive at 8am that day. 8:12 am on the 27th, I got a call saying they local office had only just been informed that morning and they weren't going to arrive until 9am, despite us doing the booking a month prior. After 9am I got another call saying their truck had broken down, they were waiting for the back-up truck and would be there by 11. After more calls along this vein (can't drive stick, waiting for a new driver, waiting for a job to finish so we can just use their truck), they finally arrived around 6:30pm, but by then it was too late to finish so they did a bit over half of it and said they would return the next day as soon as one of them finished a job so they could complete our job. They did not return on the 28th and were mostly uncommunicative (busy) until I asked if I needed to find a different company, at which point they said they would be there by noon on the 30th. At this point, we had already had to cancel things like the carpet cleaning, which have since come out of our damage deposit. They did arrive on the 30th, again around 6pm. Through the move they left dents and scrapes on the walls, some of them significant. The ones at the old place have already come out of our damage deposit, and they said if I contacted their Service department they would send someone to repair the new place. They also removed the door to our deep freeze for the move and misplaced the parts, so it no longer has an attached door. I contacted their Service department August 5 and despite repeated follow-ups have only gotten back broken promises to have things fixed "this week" or "soon", or simply no response at all. Some of the damage is keeping us from getting furniture into place, which has stalled our unpacking despite it being a month since, and aren't able to properly use the deep freeze. They did, however, decline to charge us for the services of one of the movers each day to try and make up for the service delays, and they're quite friendly...when you can actually manage to speak with them.

We had the pleasure of having Nathan & Martin move our contents from the Fraser Valley to Vancouver Island. Awesome guys! These men worked extremely hard, were quick and super efficient. We missed our ferry by 5 or so minutes but they made it on, and unloaded when we weren’t there as requested. They called when finished and I was able to pay over the phone. This was our first time using a moving company and when we need to move from storage to our new house, we will be calling them again. Ps... Don’t forget to tip your movers. They deserve it!

At 36 years old I’m past the age where I can ask friends to help me move in exchange for beer and pizza. And seeing how this was going to be a big and difficult move I needed to hire a reputable company like 2 Burley Men. The movers Chad and Don were professional and proficient. I should also note that I work with Chad at his other job. Great worker, so when he showed up on moving day I knew I was in good hands. The rate they quoted was consistent with what I paid. Things usually take longer than expected during moves and this was no exception but 2 Burley Men made things go smoother. I’ve heard horror stories on CBC’s Marketplace about other less reputable companies that quote a low price, then leave your belongings on the lawn on your new place unless you’re willing to pay more than what was quoted. This is definitely not the case with 2 Burley Men. If you have a big move I highly recommend going with this company!

Paul Q and Merrick were AMAZING! They moved all my stuff onto the truck so fast and took great care of my belongings. They were able to drive the truck up a massive dirt driveway and brought everything inside in perfect condition. They were both very kind and would absolutely use them again!

Not happy at all! They didn't even show up on the Saturday that was booked! Didn't return my calls! Phoned them on the Monday asking why and what happened. Some story about oh the office never booked you I guess, call them. I live in Edmonton and called the Edmonton number and Josh gives me the Victoria, BC office....and imagine, no answer there either. They aren't even worth the 1 star! The words I want to express can't be written!!!

Two movers arrived on time although originally went to the wrong address. They found a solution to the truck parking issue and worked hard to move my items in a timely manner. Unfortunately the edge of a cabinet was damaged and some smaller items were scratched. However they did wrap my couch and furniture cabinets which I appreciated. Nice guys and they got the job done. They also deducted some time for the damage and address error. I will use this company again.

Shane D and Scott S were both fantastic. I don't think I have ever seen two guys work so hard. They loaded my entire home without taking a break and then unloaded on the other side without stopping! I was shocked at how fast they were. I had budgeted that it would take them 2.5 hour to load and then another 2.5 to unload, but they did it in 1.5 hours!! They were very polite and friendly. If I ever need to move again, I'm calling this service.

We had used them in the past and our experience was great, enough for.me to call back and say thank you........fast forward to our next move which was 3 days ago. It started with the movers calling us to explain that they were gonna be late because one of there employees no showed.This is minor and okay 20 min late no biggie. Our last move was from 97 st to the highlands area and it was about $700 which is roughly what I pay everytime based on my items no matter the company. This time I expected less based on my items being not as much as last move and only having to go 5 min away this time. They charged us just over a 1000 and ignored our fragile box signs.to me they purposely ripped us off considering how much time was taken to move this time.im not sure if it was because my gf facilitated the move and they thought they could get away with this,but honestly just shows me the company's true colors. We are not looking for any resolve of this issue or sorry but wanted to let u know this is where the road ends with us and your company. And if ur reply is rates change based on season u charged us 130/hr last time and 130/hr this time its only the work ethic that has changed. NEVER AGAIN

2 Burley Men - Nanaimo From the first phone call there was no confusion no hesitation, I was given a price and and a moving date. Lamont and Billy showed up on time gave me updates by text message on their progress to pick up our items in Surrey and then transport them across to Vancouver Island. It was done on time on budget with no fuss, no muss. I have no hesitation in recommending them except that Lamont is a Ravens fan ????. Other movers on Vancouver Island and in Vancouver could learn from this company's integrity.

This was a move of a 400 lb BBQ so required three men. From the minute of 1st phone call to discuss the task, I was impressed with service, communication, knowledge, caring and level of organization. Booking led to follow up and reminders and I was impressed again. The moving team were the piano movers team for the day - on time, nicely dressed, tidy and cordial and keen. I do not recommend this company. BIG RIP OFF! They moved me last year and did a great job so I decided to hire them again and that was a HUGE mistake. They first called me that morning saying one of their staff no showed and they have to think of a different solution. They showed up late but charged me for the full hour still. They brought a new guy who had no experience and took a veryyyy long time doing everything (extra 2.5 hours). They even left between the move to grab food and wanted me to pay for their 45 min lunch break, told me they wouldn't charge me but sneaked it in the bill which I caught him doing and told him to remove it. My vanity glass table was broken on the bottom. They dragged all my furniture on the floor and was very careless. I moved only 5 minutes away with alot less furniture before and they charged me extra $400 scamming me. It took them 45 minutes to move only one couch. I don't understand how the rate was the same as my previous move, yet more expensive when it was only 5 mins away vs 25 mins previously with alot less furniture. I called head office and they said they would look into it and call me back but of course they did nothing. NEVER AGAIN!!!! I will never book with you guys again. You are so unprofessional and careless and a big rip off. Super disappointed. I've hired alot of companies before and never had to pay anywhere near this amount, especially when this company charged me alot less last time.

We had a woman and her partner help us move a few large pieces from Abbotsford to Burnaby. They were lovely! Give them some props! On time, efficient, friendly, professional. They moved the gigantic dresser down 2 flights of stairs like it was nothing. They were smiling, made conversation... I have never had an experience like this. After a near miss with the moving company "Good Guy Moving & Hauling"(not such a good guy at all), I hired 2 Burly Men Moving Company for my move from Cochrane to Edmonton. From the first phone call, Robin was polite, answering my many questions and put me at ease. The day prior to the move, I recieved a confirmation notification. The day of the move, Adam called ahead of schedule and arrived promptly. He was such a professional. Very kind and patient, explaining the whole process. Soe and Nay accompanied Adam and this team of guys were very efficient and respectful going above and beyond in every regard. Nothing was damaged and my walls and carpet were left in pristine condition. The team kept in touch with me throughout the drive to Edmonton. Upon arrival, my contents were safely removed and placed exactly where we directed. The price was more than fair with no up front deposit required or hidden charges when presented with the final bill, which was less than the original quote. I would highly recommend 2 Burly Men Moving Company and will definitely be hiring this team again when I need to get settled in my new home. Fantastic job!

DO NOT RECOMMEND. I had a small one-bedroom apartment where I had already moved most boxes myself, and there was only furniture left. The two fellows that moved my furniture took SEVEN HOURS when I was told it should be only 3-4 max (they took FOREVER to wrap furniture!). Then, on the way to my new location, they said they were going to stop and get snacks. This took another 45 mins or so. The company charged me for the full amount of time, plus a flat $100 fee to begin with. I should have paid $400-500 and ended up paying $700. Next time, I'm renting a Uhaul and getting a few of my own burley men to help.

I did a terrible job measuring and found that I could not get a piece of furniture up a stairwell. I called 2 Burley men to see if they could help. They were able to get a team of guys out to hoist the furniture up over a third floor balcony, and within a few days! They got the job done quickly and professionally, I was very pleased.

Two Burley Men were incredibly professional and experienced when it came to moving my upright piano, a 100 year old Gearhart Heinzman antique piano that weighs probably 2000 pounds. They moved it down a set of eight stairs and then four more without any Slips or scares and left the home completely undamaged, making it look like a piece of cake. I would certainly trust them again to move my beloved Antique, and I cannot Believe how affordable the move was. Definitely the most affordable moving company in Kelowna as I priced out several and all of the other companies quotes were far more expensive. I highly recommend this company and will definitely be going with them again in the future. Thank you so much two burly men… Actually three for the piano job.

This was the worst moving service I experienced. It took 10 hours to move a 2 bedroom condo from downtown Edmonton to a garage 30 minutes north. My husband assisted with the majority of the move. After they showed up with the wrong size truck, we had to pay for the UHaul that was rented. The Uhaul was too small and so, two trips had to be made. 3 pieces of furniture were broken and hardware for re-assembly was lost. Our cost of movers was dropped to compensate for this issue, and some "compensation" ($60) was rewarded for the broken furniture that was only 1 month old. I don't recommend this moving company at all. Please look into a more reputable moving company that will cost a little more.

I hired 3 movers (Josh, Adam, Colby) to move my condo into a POD which involved climbing 21 stairs repeatedly and hauling my couch over the balcony. These guys were on time, incredibly efficient and they did an amazing packing job! Not once did they complain about the stairs and they hauled boxes non-stop! I highly recommend William and Paul from Burley Men Moving if you need to move. Years of experience makes them very fast and efficient at their job. Once they had the layout of the new place they knew where to put items. Moving your home can be a very difficult time, but these two made it easy. I had the worst moving experience with this company, The crew forgot to bring floor protection,. I spoke to head office about this and his response was that floor runners are not standard in a moving truck. He said most people don't care if we walk through their house with our shoes on. They dinged the walls in multiple areas. They did not have moving straps or anything to secure the contents inside the truck. very disappointed in the crew as well as the way upper management responded to our concerns.

We moved from one home to another we already used recreationally, so it wasn't a typical move into an empty space. Justice and Curtis helped us in every way to get displaced/replaced furniture where it needed to be. It seemed to me they were having fun, everything was "no problem" and that made the move way less stressful.

DO NOT use this company. We used them for a long distance move from BC to AB and many of our items were broken/damaged or went “missing”. Their replacement policy is garbage. They lost two 70L totes full of all our winter gear and all they offered us in exchange was $33.00 based on the square footage per tote which doesn’t even to begin to cover the cost in each tote. After using this company we are out $3,000. Do not trust this company to move your valuables or belonging in a safe and respectful manner. This is a nightmare turned into a reality for us.

My movers were courteous and helpful, very accommodating, and professional. They both worked very hard to fit most of everything in the truck. Only wish the truck was larger as I had to make 3 separate trips back to my old home to get the rest of garden tackle, etc… Did question the company if the size would be good enough they reassured me it was… almost, but not quite. Also would have loved sticky paper put down on the floors as runners, now need to have carpets cleaned again. But over all very nice people

As you can see from the response to my review , an extremely unprofessional company. I have to note they got his stuff stolen because they forgot to lock the truck doors & left the vehicle attended. Besides losing his shoes which were the most valuable, they lost 2 other luggages. You helping the poor guy is the least you can do, so don't act like you're doing him a favor considering this is your fault. Also the lack of empathy for this whole situation is why I will never use your services. Making him seem like a liar. You guys left the door wide open for theft to happen. This is why you deserve this one star reveiw
