I quicky went on google and found Mighty Movers and talked to Bill. He was very friendly and was willing to take on my move right away ! He showed up the next day promptly with his crew. They were all very friendly ,helpful and careful with all my stuff. They even helped me take apart my beds and set them up for me. Nice guys , reliable service. I will use them again !

Mighty Movers are excellent. I've never used movers before and the process of trying to find a company that wasn't sketchy was very challenging. Most of the companies that advertised on Craigslist wanted to charge hundreds of dollars more than their advertised price once they found out I had a piano to move. Tommy at Mighty Movers was a refreshing surprise. He quoted me an extremely decent price, outlined what to look for when hiring a moving company, and thoroughly explained the entire process to me. He replied to all my emails promptly and politely, and kept in contact throughout the day of the move to let me know when I could expect the truck to arrive. The movers were polite, professional and fast! One minute they were going into the house and the next, the piano was in the truck and they were wrapping it in blankets and securing it to the wall so it wouldn't get damaged. I was very impressed and would definitely use them again!

Disclaimer: I never actually tried to hire this company. My family actually hired Vincent Moving to move our house and Mighty Mover trucks showed up (late) in our driveway. The whole ordeal was very confusing as I didn't even know what moving company I was dealing with anymore. The move did not go well, as items were broken during transit and we ended up having to pay more than we were quoted. I found out the hard way that the company I thought I hired (Vincent Movers) didn't have insurance and refused to compensate us for the damage. Mighty Movers claimed to have nothing to do with the move although it was clearly their trucks. Again, I'm not sure if I was using Vincent or Might Movers, but either way there is some sort of affiliation between the two and I would never deal with either of them. Save yourself the hassle and don't hire either of these two poorly managed companies! Also, always make sure to ask for proof of insurance before going with any moving company.

All in all, Mighty Movers did a great job getting me moved across town. When the day came we had some obstacles to overcome, but Bill and his crews pulled together to make it happen. Challenges always come up in moves, but it's the professionalism and competency of the company that you are dealing with that make the difference. When issues arose, Bill was out himself to make sure everything went well, tackling everything head on to ensure the job got done. Not only that, the crews were courteous, professional, and very quick. Not only cost effective, Mighty Movers offered something even more important - peace of mind. I would gladly recommend Mighty Movers to anyone looking for a reliable and professional moving service in Vancouver.

Don't use these guys if you need a fast move on short notice. They kept changing the dates, were very rude, and at the very end tried to overcharge me. I called to get my empty aquarium (not a piano as they have replied) moved up a flight of stairs on short notice. I chose them because their ad on craigslist said nothing was too big a job for them and that they could do moves on short notice or with tight deadlines. The first issue was that they didn't respond. I sent an email directly to their ad and got no response in a week. I really wanted to use them since the reviews seemed good other than some fowl language which doesn't bother me. I dug around for their phone number and called, but i got a very disgruntled sounding man who basically told me he "didn't have time for this" since he was busy and said to email. When i said i had already emailed and got no response, he gave me the company email again. From here on out communication was still very slow considering i now actually needed this done on quickly since their lack of replying ate up one of the two weeks, but at least they were responding now. I gave them clear pictures and measurements of everything, but they kept asking for pictures and measurements of things i had already sent to them. Finally they got back to me and said they could do it for $250. I asked why it was so much and was told they would need a "couple of guys", and padding, and basically they were going to treat it like a piano move and charge the same. It is not a piano. It is not as heavy, it is not as fragile, it is not as awkward. I told them quite a few times that it was not a piano but they wouldn't budge on this and told me no one else would move it, especially for this price, and that it was even discounted and a really good deal. I knew at this point that I was getting ripped off but I just wanted it done and all this back and forth (pictures and price) had taken 3 days of my time already. We arranged a day but they kept changing the time and the day which was frustrating. One of the days they had arranged i waited until the time only to be told they couldn't make it. It wasted a huge amount of my time. I left a bad review about how they left me high and dry at this point. A few minutes later I got a message about how they were still going to do the move but how maybe they shouldn't do the move since I left a bad review when they were "trying so hard". So I erased the text but left it one star (i was going to change it when they finally finished moving the aquarium). Talked it out and was told it would happen "before Sunday". I didn't hear from them at all the rest of that week. Saturday night they haven't contacted me. I call them asking why they hadn't shown up. I was told i had "misunderstood" the words "before Sunday". I hadn't, but they had meant before the end of the day on Sunday. They promised me they would be there before noon on sunday. On sunday at 11am, i was told they were going to come in the evening because they didn't have 4 people, which is more than they said they needed. At this point i said nevermind and not to come. The guy on the phone insisted they were on their way right now, but also said the price would go up to $350. I canceled. The aquarium empty, is 6 feet long, weighs 200 lbs and is meant to hold 1200lbs of water. I carried it by myself to the house and from the old house (which also had stairs), the only reason I can't move it up the stairs as a 5 foot tall female is i don't have a reliable person to hold it while I manuver it around the corner landing (5 steps up to a landing and then it continues up another 5 steps in the opposite direction to get up to the second floor). So to hear that this professional moving company needed 4 people, was flaky and rude, and at the last minute charging more? I don't think the 1 star is undeserved.

My move was more complex than usual, almost long range at three hours each way. I got in touch with Bill at Mighty Movers on relatively short notice for my Sunday move and he was able to accommodate me. His quote was the most competitive, and a good 3x cheaper than some of the long-distance companies I contacted. The movers showed up on time and were able to fit everything into their 5 ton truck, despite the fact I kept dragging more stuff out of my garage, even when it seemed like everything was finished. Despite the 12+ hour day, the movers were professional to the end. I highly recommend Mighty Movers to anyone looking for a move in the area.

These guys were great! Bill and Keith showed up on time and completed the move of our apartment belongings to a storage facility in a very efficient and speedy manner. They not only transferred the contents to the storage facility, but when it became obvious that I had rented too large a locker, they negotiated a smaller locker and moved everything from one to the other saving me around $60/month. Appalling. Bill told me when I foolishly gave him a second chance at moving us, that they rely on recommendations. I cannot give them a good one. After coming to view the goods we had for removal and assuring me there would be no problems, when it came to removal day the actual movers told me they would need to make a second trip or we would have to move the rest ourselves. Bill did not even bother to contact me to check on the quality of their service after I spoke to him about this. The guys doing the labor were excellent. the management - inept and incompetent. The first time they moved us was a debacle also, I have the email where I listed the goods, as he didn't bother to come see that time. I specifically mentioned having a piano and when they arrived on the day had no idea what I was talking about. Do yourselves a favour, hire someone else. It might be slightly more expensive but the peace of mind on an already stressful day will be worth it

The guy kept pushing me to accept his offer and kept going lower on price. Once agreed, he came for the move and after loading a couple of things started unloading and shouting that he can't do the job and will go back. The only intention i think was to increase the price which he did because i couldn't do anything at that time. It was agreed that I will help too to keep lower price and on both location most of the stuff up and down the stairs, i did myself.. but still the guy was grumpy the whole time. So much so that he kept using abusive words with my kids around in the house. I had large home depot and Canadian Tire boxes and his comments were most movers wont pick those cz they are too heavy. He couldn't drag them on a dolly, while I carried all of those from upstairs to downstairs at the origination. The whole move was finished in 5 hours including drive time which is what the estimate was, so not sure what his fuss was all about. Won't recommend them and won't use them for my storage room to house move for sure...

I hired Mighty Movers for my move from Vancouver to Campbell River on Vancouver Island, not only was the owner incredibly accommodating and helpful, they were also very reasonably priced for an all day move. The movers that were sent were friendly, efficient and respectful. I couldn't have asked for a smoother move and would strongly recommend this company after having several other disasters with moving companies.

I hired Mighty Movers to move my piano. After doing some research and exchanging several emails with William, I decided to go with Mighty Movers. I was not disappointed! William was very timely, helpful, and friendly in his emails. I only needed a piano and queen size bed moved. William worked hard to give me a good deal. Already, I had a good vibe and felt like I was being treated as a valued customer. Because it was a shorter job at the end of the day, arranging the moving time took some coordination. William was quick to respond to phone calls and texts. His crew was upbeat, friendly, and professional - even at the end of a long work day and facing the prospect of moving a piano! I was very impressed with their energy, commitment to do the job well, and communication with me. We had originally booked Mighty Movers to move us into our new apartment in Vancouver but had to change plans last minute when a sprinkler went off causing water damage in our unit and delaying our move in date. Bill was quick to help and got us a good rate at a nearby storage company. His guys arrived on time and worked efficiently. They shrink wrapped all our stuff for safe storage and packed the locker well. Both Bill and his guys were very personable throughout the whole process and I plan on using them again once our apartment is finally ready for move in. I highly recommend Mighty Movers. We were recommended these movers by a friend and we were skeptical at first because we have had such bad experiences with other movers. But these guys were great, we had a lot of issues with our elevators and the day was a total nightmare but Bill and his employee just took the hits as they came. They even unlocked our elevator at one place but they kept on moving. They were always honest about cost and timing which we really appreciated there is nothing worse then them finishing and hitting you with a massive bill you were not expecting. They were very fast considering how much of a nightmare the day was (caused by other ppl not them) they will be our go to movers from now on..though hopefully we dont move again anytime soon...but we will be recommending them to anyone who asks

I do volunteer work (for a Seniors Center, Ronald McDonald house and most recently started at Mission Possible in East Van). This weekend, I had relatives move and the main volunteer (who had the truck) bailed due to a traffic accident. So at the last minute, we were short man power and a truck. After speaking with a company offering a group on ($99/2 hours or $180/4 hours), we opted to go with Mighty Movers. They may be more than the group on prices out there right now, but IF you like your belongings, I highly suggest using Mighty Movers. (Especially if you don't want a mover who will likely not honor their quotes as the Group On Movers came across as very shyster like!) Not only did the owner go above and beyond to fit in a last minute move, but he made good on his promise when they were over booked. He used a contractor to ensure that the couple could move this weekend. On a personal note, I have issues with 'professional' movers because I've never been happy with the results. Although this was not my move, I can say that it was the most impressive move because there was not one single item broken, scratched or even dirty! And they are >fast< yet respectful of all the belongings. To give you a point of reference - they managed to move an entire 1 bedroom and an entire off-site storage locker to two separate living spaces in the span of 2 hours. They did not compromise the quality for speed. I read the reviews on here, and frankly am quite shocked at the disparaging comments. If anything, I was particularly impressed with the owner and his integrity. And shockingly enough, I'm actually considering using them for my personal upcoming move. I've been very anti-movers due to previous bad experiences, but this company may have restored my faith in movers..... My daughters and I recently moved from our apartment to a house. We called the Mighty movers after hearing a recommendation from our neighbours. They did not disappoint! The Mighty Movers were professional, hard-working and very accommodating. Our apartment building had many tight corners and hallways, many stairs and doorways to go through and they managed to get everything moved without breaking anything! We will most definitely be calling the mighty movers for our next move!

Used Mighty Movers to move between storage lockers, so only needed them for a couple hours and this was no problem. Bill and his partner were on time, professional and very quick. I was worried that we would not have enough space in the new locker, but they made it work and really knew what they were doing! Mighty Movers crew were quick and efficient at unloading and loading my stuff but forgot a box on their truck and I still as of this posting not received it (it's a stereo). He never bothered to email me to tell me he wasn't going to bring me the box as we agreed he could deliver to me on his next move to Kelowna from Vancouver but that move was cancelled (he didn't email me that his.move was a no go). I also paid $1300 for the move (3 hrs actual moving time and the rest travel and gas although I've as told they only charge half of the return travel time) which was middle of the road charge compared to the rest of the competition. I also was being reimbursed for this move and told him do which meant I needed am invoice of which I had to hound him to get. He just gave whoa is me excuses for his lack of organizationally skills and scatter brained work process. All in all, save your grief and hire an organized outfit. One who doesn't over book themselves which affects all those who are scheduled to move that day

I really needed to let everyone know what a great moving company this is. I traveled to Vancouver from the States to help my cousin move. She had a lot of heavy furniture as well as, what seemed to be, a never ending collection of stuff. Driving to pick up the moving truck I saw a Mighty Movers truck and thought...That's what we need. I contacted them and as it was the end of the month, they were swamped. They still managed to call in an extra crew. Jason and Shawn showed up at 7:00 PM on a Sunday night. They had all the big stuff loaded in a flash and then helped load everything else. They even managed to adjust there schedule so that they could be in Langley at 8:00 AM the next day to help unload. I would highly recommend Mighty Movers to anyone and everyone for any type of moving job. Shawn and Jason were carefully professional and great to work with. Moving is can be very stressful..these guys worked hard to make it comfortable. Thanks so much. Mighty Movers was a mighty big blessing!

Update on April 6th, 2015 I used them again - for a smaller move. Long Story short, they did an amazing job, beat the budgeted time, showed up early, and the guys were professional as they could be. They only took 1 hour to unload a whole bunch of boxes and some furniture in a condo where we were constricted by the elevator. It was absolutely perfect. Last update from 2014: I'm updating this review since I originally wrote it on March 5th 2014. See below for the original. The update: After the move, the owner, Bill, asked for my feedback on the move, so I told him everything, the pros and cons. He reviewed his emails to me, and promptly admitted that he has forgotten to mention the two costs I discussed below (fuel charge and travel charge). Today, I got a nice cheque in the mail from him, refunding both charges, and a hand written note of apology. Could you ask anymore from a mover? Seriously, I am impressed, and will call them when I move next, and recommend them to whoever I know. Anyone makes mistakes, but it is how they react to their own mistakes that makes them who they really are, and this business has shown that they are great people. Original post (with 3 stars): Pros - Great workers, strong and knowledgeable. Got the move done in good time, with no damages or any major hiccups. Hardworking and capable workers. Cons - Two hidden fees not mentioned ever in the quotes: 10% surcharge on the entire bill for fuel, even if the moving distance was 2kms! This was later reduced to 5%, but still not at all reasonable given that this was not mentioned by the quotes provided by the owner, William Perisa. His quote also claimed there would be a small traveling time from their office to my old place. This distance was under 12 kms, but charged a full hour for the travel! Overall, the company was a bit shady for its charges, but had the best employees otherwise. The quality of the move was impressive.

Solid. 1/2 hour late and 1 man short out of 3 movers (both because of bad weather). But, it gets better: It was on a holiday weekend in heavy snow which meant slippery maneuvers around corners, stairs, slanted parking lot, etc. They very quickly assured me "It's ok, we got this, we're on it." In that situation on the last day of the month, all I can do is say "OK" because I have no other options, and just hope they know what they're doing. They finished only about 15 minutes past schedule, short-staffed!. Also, everything arrived at my new place almost on time *through rush hour traffic in bad weather* without a scratch on it. I'm not rich, so I only gave them a Tim Horton's gift card for a tip, but they seemed totally happy with that. I'll never forget what the one guy said to the other when they started unloading the moving equipment at my old place, something like: "I hope you ate your Wheaties and drank your coffee this morning kiddo, because it's time to go to work." They went to work. They get a G+1 from me.

Although I packed everything in boxes myself before I called Bill, nothing was broken in the move. Bill and his guys were careful and considerate. I would use them again...????

The Might Movers company went out of their way to find a way to make moving our piano as inexpensive as possible. We live in Langley, so they found a day when they were already out in the area and were able to save us a significant amount of money by coordinating it like this. I'd recommend calling at least a week in advance for a small move like ours, that way they fit you in when they're already in the area and offer the best possible rate. The movers were efficient, professional, and offered WCB certification. Recommended!

Moving is a stressful experience, and it is key to have the right mover to help the day go smoothly. The Mighty Movers is that mover. From my first email with Bill the owner, I felt that I was dealing with a company that had my best interest in mind. There are three things I look for in a mover: 1. Value - Bill's rates were better than any other mover we talked to. We have LOTS of books, and stairs in our new apartment. Bill made sure we had the right number of guys to get the job done as efficiently as possible. 2. Timeliness - The team arrived on time and were ready to work when they showed up. They packed our place in an efficient manner, and got us to our new apartment as scheduled. 3. Professionalism - Whether it was Bill or his team, I felt they cared about our move and our business. The movers were friendly and courteous, and Bill worked with me to set timelines, and followed up after the job to make sure we were satisfied. All in all, I would recommend Bill and his team for any move.

If your NOT the first move of the day expect delays. I was delayed by my appointment time by 2.5 Hours and they did not communicate in that time until last minute. They do CHARGE EXTRA TIME going to and from the job. They charged an extra hour for them to get to the job and their drive back from my end location as I was told. I am not sure if this is industry standard but it did not feel right considering they charge a 10% fuel surcharge - That should be for the travel time to and from the job correct? #1) In any case, confirm your quote before your get your move completed #2) be the first move of the day or expect delays

Mighty Movers did a one-off job for me, moving an enormous heavy wooden desk. Two guys did the work of four, down slopes, around corners, through narrow doors, etc. They were timely, professional, courteous and seriously competent. I highly recommend them!

I was impressed by the pre-moving advice that I received and when the guys came to do the big move they were working bees, very punctual, hard working, efficient and friendly. Bill and the team just saved the day for us. We have so much stuff and they had to move them in a hot summer day. They all were patient, kind and amazingly fast. I talked with mutliple movers before I got their number from a friend who swear by them. Their pricing was fair and they were really helpful giving us tips and providing with some packing metarials. On moving day, they actually did a great job. Bill and his team took good care of every piece of our furniture. Neither the furniture nor the walls got a single scratch. I was so happy to pick the right guys to do the job. Highly recommend these guys.

Bill and his partner were very accommodating providing same day service. Their price to move my upright piano was fair, and it was less than others who quoted me today. And these guys are strong!! My older upright is heavy to say the least. They had to muscle it down a flight of stairs and I was shocked they managed absolutely efficiently. I am so grateful to you for your service guys!
