But when I had to move my household goods, clean up my patio garden, and have artwork delivered to consignment in swift order recently, the guys at Homex really came through. Luigi and his team were outstanding. They patiently and with fortitude went up and down my apartment building’s four flights of stairs to remove my belongings. They worked cleanly and carefully, tidying up after. And a big plus is how kind and good humoured they are. They listen to what you need and they do their best to accommodate your wishes. We moved from North Vancouver to Port Coquitlam. It was the first time we hired movers and we chose Luigi, as recommended by 2 different couples who were very happy with his service. Luigi dropped some wardrobe boxes off for us the day before the move, which was very helpful. He was responsive to any communication. Move day, they showed up right on time, and hustled HARD until the bitter end. We had cleaners, a carpet cleaner and movers all organized by Luigi. In the end, some boxes were forgotten in the front entrance room, and and the cleaners forgot to get to that room, as well. But Luigi gave us a bit of a discount and handled it really well. We're all human! Over all, we would recommend!

I have used Luigi and his team many times for my own various house moves or deliveries and last year to downsize move my elderly parents from their large house into a care home. The team are friendly, genuine, caring and efficient workers. Luigi is passionate about giving good customer service and he is incredibly patient and kind with both his workers and his clients. My mother has dementia and Luigi's consideration of her during a stressful move was impressive. The team takes great care not to damage any items and appears to appreciate both the real value and also the sentimental value of antiques and heirlooms within a family.

The worst experience we've had with a moving company! We hired these guys to move our belongings to their storage unit for a few months. Upon moving into our new place our furniture arrived damaged and dirty. They've lost all of our cookware, and to make matters worst, they suggested that we were pigs and that everything was dirty to begin with. They also accused us of lying about our missing cookware. To anybody that wants to hires these guys, beware and make sure that you have a list of all your belongings and pictures of everything before the move. A criminal background check would be a good idea too.

Luigi in fantastic. I have experienced every quality of mover imaginable. Most of them are not worthy of more than one star. Homex, on the other hand, is a great company. Luigi is experienced in everything from delicate china to Pianos. I have had him move a little of everything. I just hired him for the second time and will be meeting him on Tuesday for a third job. He came this time with his employee, Scott, who was also friendly, respectful and hard working. It's so hard to find a company like this. It's almost like they are a rumor. You hear about that one honest guy but never seem to find one when it's your turn. Now you only need to call Homex. I saw one really bad review here. I was astounded. Sometimes people get their nose out of joint and give even the best company a bad review. You need only weigh the good reviews against the bad. Thanks for being there Luigi!!!!!!

Awesome service! These guys totally bailed me out on my move to Victoria. The U haul I rented was too small so they stepped up with their truck and got me over to my new condo in Victoria on time. It added to my cost but a hassle free move was worth every penny. I would not hesitate to recommend HOMEX!!!

I was just looking online for movers, and remembered homex!!! The move to the storage was great, but a few months later when we moved into our new place it was a nightmare! Items and art that I love were disrespected , broken and a whole bunch of our kitchen items were missing. To this day I keep noticing items that have gone missing. When I tried to straighten these issues out, Luigi offered me $200 and laughed at me when I said how much my belongings were worth as he’s in the moving Industry and knows what quality items are. My mahogany cabinet had a smashed window and scratches all over it. My really cool gargoyle that cost me $2000 had its legs, ears and fingers broken off! Scratches on my white leather couch (which he says apparently isn't worth very much). Also, never did get the $200. I stepped out for a minute and they were gone by the time I returned. I understand that accidents happen during moves but it really is these guys' disrespectful attitude and lack of responsibility that stayed with us. I definitely do not recommend homex but if you happen to hire them, please ask them for me if I can have my $200 ( the least the could do).

Loved using the reusable large blue bins for packing - it made it so easy! Luigi is professional and friendly. Fantastic moving company that I would highly recommend.

Wow, what an experience... First I ordered the guys to move an antique table with a few more items, then they picked up a new bed and assembled it for me at home and stayed within the estimate. They count everything based on an hourly rate, which is my favourite model to work with as I charge my clients the same way and think it's the fairest one. They were on time, handled the items with extreme care and also were very careful with the floor, as the house we rented has wooden floors everywhere. Then, being new to Vancouver, I phoned Luigi to ask for a paid favour on the New Years Eve. The guy did everything beyond my expectations, even involved his family members, which for the second time proved how reliable they are. Will definitely keep working with them and recommend to others.

I chose to have my items packed and stored at their warehouse. The actual movers were careful, polite and a pleasure. My mistake was storing all of my belongings at their new storage facility/office in N. Vancouver. When it came time to have Homex move my items to my new home, items arrived broken and a moderately pricey item went missing with no offer of reimbursement to date (total value of damage approx $230). If this changes I'll happily update my review as I kept the broken items as proof.

We had a FANTASTIC experience working with Luigi and his team for both the move-in and move-out services from our 1BHK apartment to a 2BHK one. They were on time, came prepared with the moving equipments, moved everything very efficiently, disassembled the bed frame and recliners as needed by us and then reassembled them in our new apartment perfectly! We had to move furniture around at our office due to the floor repairs and renovations. I am always skeptical with movers as they are unreliable and painful to deal with. It was refreshing that the people at Homes Moving are reliable, on time and the movers are courteous and work hard. I will definitely use them again. I gave them a 5 stars, as they had to move things around 3 times and they were fantastic! Luigi is the head guy during our move and he is such a nice and efficient guy in getting things moved. They showed up early (when does that ever happen!) were ready to work, so proactive with my building navigating the elevators etc and treated my belongings as if they were their own. My husband and I recently downsized and we hired Homex to assist with all aspects of the move. This included three bookings: (1) to move all of our personal belongings from a house to a condo (2) to move bins to our condo storage locker and to help move all the furniture we were selling from the house to the garage and (3) to move other items to an outside storage locker, help with delivery of a wine fridge to the couple who purchased it, and removal of all of our garbage. I was very impressed with Luigi, Rob, and Antonio- they were prompt, moved everything with care, were very professional and hard-working, and also extremely personable. They also worked with my timeline, which was extremely appreciated! The prices are very comparable and fair. I highly recommend Homex.

used Homex for moving a sofabed loveseat which I purchased off of Craigslist from a home owner. It needed to be transported from North Vancouver to Vancouver. It arrived undamaged, and clean as when I purchased it. He also helped to put the legs on the loveseat. I would recommend Luigi. The loveseat picture shown is similar to the one I purchased.

I used Luigi for a local move from a storage unit. He left 2 items there and promised to pick them up several times in the past 4 weeks and has not followed through. Very disappointed in his lack of commitment and service. Told me he was broke and needed the money so I felt bad holding back some payment. I guess I should have because he has no incentive to finish his job and does not care about his service. Will never use him again.

I made an appointment ahead of time with Luigi Moretta at Homex at the request of my daughter who was out of town on business at the time. She wanted to arrange with him her own and her business partner's upcoming moves in the North Van area. The day beforehand, Mr. Moretta confirmed for her the date and time of the appointment. However, he didn't bother to even show up for it! And Homex publishes that they are "Movers You Can Count On"! We selected Homex Moving out of 8 moving companies that we considered. We moved an office of 16 people and infrastructure, almost 5000 sq feet from the 10th floor of an old office building in downtown Vancouver, to a building in Gastown. An extremely difficult move. Luigi and his crew were outstanding. The did everything they agreed to do, and more. Everything was moved carefully, without damage, into 24 various drop locations in the new office the workers were great, professional and friendly. The trucks and equipment was professional. Luigi was professional. The price was great, and we got great value. I recommend Homex for ANY move, from residential to commercial. The BEST!

It was a terrible experience with Homex today, December 2, 2017. Luigi and Andre came today to help me with the move from North Vancouver to Surrey. I had used Homex before, but there were different people who came for the move and they were good. But, this time, Luigi and Andre came to help with the move. The house that I was moving in, had new hardwood floor and spotless. As a result, I was very careful not to damage the hardwood. I put bed sheets on the places that I wanted to items to be moved to, to make sure that the hardwood floor would not get damaged. And I made it clear to the movers that I wanted the items to be put on the sheets, so the floor would not get damaged. Yet, they did not put the bookshelves on the sheet and damaged the new floor by dragging the bookshelves on it and scratched it really badly. When I showed the scratches on the hardwood floor to Luigi, he said, "It was already there; See? There are scratches everywhere on the hardwood"!!! Such claim was so ridiculous and shameless that I did not say any more. What can you say to someone who claims there are scratches everywhere on the hardwood, when there is absolutely no scratches anywhere?! They also did damage to the file holder cabinet. The previous person who had helped me, had told me that it was fine if the files were remained in the cabinet. As a result, this time I left the files inside the cabinet too. The previous mover managed to move the file holder cabinet without any damage, however this time, Movex damaged the cabinet. Again, Luigi did not take responsibility for the damage and said, "That was because the cabinet was too heavy". I wonder how a heavy cabinet would damage the cabinet knob?!!! They must have hit the cabinet somewhere that damaged the knob. In addition, the previous mover had wrapped my white cabinet in a blanket, but Luigi did not even want to do a small wrapping around the cabinet! I had to insist on it being wrapped so the door would not get opened during the move. Stay away from this terrible moving company!

Very disappointed. I wish I could submit a review based on my moving experience but I can't as Luigi no-showed me two days in a row for a quote. I took time off of work to meet but Luigi And he didn’t even call to let me know he was running late or inform me that he had to cancel. Both days I called him hours before our appointment to remind him and he still didn’t show. Their slogan is ‘movers you can count on’. You have to be kidding me. It should read ‘Movers you can count on not showing up’. Brutal experience as I will never recommend or book this moving company.
