I hired them to move with a 16’ truck & 2 movers. They called the afternoon before (Sunday) saying they were going to have to delay 3hrs because of another job. They called back just after 6pm to cancel because of a failure in trucks transmission which was the truthful issue initially. While trying to discuss solutions, I was YELLED AT repeatedly, interrupted, ignored, & hung up on. He sent me another company that was going to cost a bit extra but turned out it was significantly more & not divulged until half moved. Extortion for sure. No response from email only customer service rep.companies having no back up plan should price themselves accordingly. If I cancelled within 24hrs there's a fee regardless

This company does not have legal rights to the name "Family Movers Ltd" nor is this company operating under this name. If you call their number, you will not reach "Family Movers" however you will reach Metropolitan Movers. As a representative of the real Family Movers Ltd, when I call their number to stop their corporate identity theft both on Google and Facebook (where they are also using our address) they simply hang up the phone on me. Please do not fall for this scam. Companies that operate in this fashion give a bad name to all Moving companies. A legitimate mover will never ask for a deposit up front and does not need to appropriate other companies identities harming their hard earned reputation. Please see in the pictures my business card showing the actual contact information for Family Movers Ltd. We are a fully licensed and registered agent of North American Van Lines.

This company is a complete scam. They are using legitimate company names to scam their way in and rip people off. Beware. This company went out of business 5 years ago. They have multiple websites and numerous phone numbers and the First thing they want is your credit card. You should NEVER pay in advance for any movers.
