Had to take my business elsewhere, great customer service but their debit / credit card machine doesn't work, couldn't give them any money, their equipment wouldn't take it, very frustrating

My experience with U-haul it is a nightmare. I booked and paid on-line on June 28 to install a hitch on my car. It was booked for installation on July 6. When I got to the store, they were not even aware that I had a booking. The clerk there told me that their system does not advise the store about the bookings. After that he told that he doesn't have the part and usually it takes 2-3 weeks to get it there. But he cannot track them and that he will call me once they arrive. He could not advise when , because there was no tracking in the system. I called to customer service number waited for 40 minutes , just to be transferred to another department. When I talked finally with someone , she told that she cannot help and this is a local store issue, not a general inquiry. She gave the phone # from the regional manager for Moncton. Called the number, he was on vacation, but the lady that answered told me that he deals with rentals not with hitches. So I booked vacation based on the confirmation that I received from Uhaul, I do not know when I will get my hitch. I will loose the money for the booked vacation , I don't have no one that can give me any real information .......................

Worst experience of my life.. The charged us $219 for 23:50 mins! Not even 1 full day! We fueled the gas for 15$ on top of that Not fair not happy with their services! How does 19.95$ for a day turns to $219? We literally moved our home because it caught fire and it was 3 mins away to new home from original address!

Such a bad service! we made an appointment on saturday and when we went there they told us that they dont install in the weekend when they confirmed our appointment. Then we made another appointment on monday noon. when we went there the guy over there changed it to 1pm without telling us. such a bad service woul never deal with them again.

Awesome experience!! The two employees working; (A girl and a guy named Max) They were so nice and happy... helped us with everything and also showed us an easier way back home. They also helped us fix our car since it was bouncing around on the trailer for 17 hours. I will definitely be going back to this location if I move again.

Twice i show up to my hitch insation appointment, and twice they dont have the part and havent notified me before i make the 30 min drive. I had a road trip planned and was bringing the bikes but i guess im not. They have there dates all wrong and wasnt even sure if the part was ordered. Absolutely ridiculous.

I've dealt with them on more than one occasion and the service is bad. They are rude. One time there was a guy there who obviously hated his job and it showed. He was beating on the keyboard and hitting the mouse so hard it should have broke. On top of that they use shady advertising. The advert says $20 for the rental then after you get the bill its usually close to $100 because of KM, Insurance, taxes and some other fees. But they are still cheaper than the other truck rental places. The bottom line is if they want to be leaders in the market they need to improve their service and stop with the shady advertising.

I totally got conned getting a hitch installed on my VW Tiguan. They assured me I only had to take it to a VW dealer to activate the lighting. Also told me the module was already on the vehicle. Wrong on both accounts. The wrong size ball was installed but thankfully I noticed that prior to leaving the lot. Not so with the draw bar, I had requested a longer one, they didn't get that right either. Very sloppy especially when the work order was right in front of them. They even initially told me they had installed on a Tiguan before - I highly doubt that. I called and left a detailed message for the installer and he never got back to me. I traveled over 350 kms to get this job done. I ended up taking it to VW to get things in working order. Should have stuck with the dealership in the first place even though the quote was almost three times more. Lesson learned.

I got my trailer hitch installed here and is very happy about their service. Staff are friendly, they also changed the ball mount from drop to raise for me free of charge. I cannot give a 5 star because they cannot make it within scheduled time. Even I booked a time slot online, everyone is pretty busy on Saturday. So it is better to call them to confirm before arriving.

Everytime I rent a truck here I end up with a 26 foot truck that is unmanueverable wherever I need to be. I never ask for one, but they always call me up and switch it day before so I can 't go anywhere else to get a new more appropriate one.

First of all, Poor - Fair is not a fair assessment of my experience with this U Haul branch, it should be listed as "Just kill me already - Nightmare". I reserved the trailer online, confirmed order over the phone with Mathieu Michaud. Confirmed towing vehicle, confirmed vehicle to be towed, confirmed equipment compatibility and availability. We arrive at U Haul, now all of a sudden the tow vehicle was not compatible, after telling me it was compatible over the phone a week earlier. Car was too wide to fit on regular trailer, had to book a different one, which wasn't brought to my attention prior to arriving. Was at U Haul for well over an hour getting this sorted out. I made sure the reservation was made well in advance because I had only that day to do this tow. I spoke to Mathieu Michaud and he verbally confirmed my order, in fine detail. Reason for this is because we had a mix up months earlier that was devastating for us. After being told the towing vehicle was not compatible, I had no choice but to rent a U Haul truck for this tow. Further, Mathieu Michaud promised a $0.49 per Kilometer rate yet when the contract was printed it came out at $0.55 per Kilometer. When I asked him to correct this, he said: "Well what the hell do you want me to do, start all over again?". I simply told him that his customer service is the worst I have ever seen, and I left the uhaul store. I decided to leave because we had been in the store for well over an hour at this point and we were running quite late. One thing further, the truck was listed as having a full tank of fuel. The trucks fuel gauge was a little bit below 7/8 when we left, but I only noticed after we had driven approx 1-2 Kilometers, so I pulled over, and took a photo of the fuel gauge. I was also charged $29.99 for the 14' truck when it is clearly listed as $19.99 for that location on the website. Having had this news, a $75 trip turned into a $450 trip. Having escalated this issue, I eventually got a full refund for the truck rental. Do not go to the Main St. location to rent your U Haul, go to any of the other locations. Mathieu Michaud will do nothing but make your U Haul experience a nightmare.

Parking is often an issue at this location. A lot of things are considered extras and the prices are higher than what you need to pay. If you need more than the truck or trailer you plan on renting, just go to a nearby hardware store. The redeeming quality? The staff are usually nice and courteous.

Worst service I've ever. When I raised my concern with the staff in question, her answered "I don't care". It has been over week since the incident in question and the manager has yet to contact me. Avoid renting from this location if at all possible.

Extremely unprofessional service. Booked a reservation fro a hitch install through the call centre, and took the weekend off work as I had to travel from out of town to get the hitch installed. The store called me Friday (day before my appointment) to book an exact time. At 8am on Saturday I got a call stating that they don't have an installer working weekends, they then offered solutions which were extremely inconvenient before I decided to tell them to ship the parts to me. The manager then called me later that day stating he would ship them on the bus and "do me a favour" and only charge me $20 instead of the regular rate. I then said, no, this was not my mistake, you should cover the charge, to which he complained that he would have to cover it out of his own pocket. I cancelled the whole order, this was a huge inconvenience and unprofessional service, we move in less than a month and now we have to find another installer. If I could give this location a 0 star I would.

We had been given the wrong trailer at another location and contacted the Mapleton store and dealt with Matt whom worked on resolving our issue. Apon dropping off the trailer our deposit wasn't returned and once again by contacting Matt the matter was resolved.

I went to pick up a box today for my sister. Megan (not sure how she spells it) was SO friendly and helpful. She saw me outside struggling to get the box into my car and came out to help. I definitely would not have been able to fit it in without her. A fantastic employee!! Thank you again Megan!!!

We were on a road trip in NB when we received word that my parents’ house in ON had been sold very quickly and that all the kids would have to collect the “pre-posthumous” furniture we’d been allocated that wasn’t going with them to their new place…and they’re on an island off Kingston! Knowing we would need to rent a trailer but having no clue whether our SUV was properly equipped, we stopped in to UHaul Moving & Storage on Main Street, Moncton for advice. Despite the fact that we wouldn’t be renting a trailer from her, Meghan Cole was incredible: helpful, efficient and professional, Meghan confirmed that our hitch and wiring were up to the task and then suggested what we would need to hook up a trailer when we made it to a UHaul in Kingston. When she discovered that she only had a more expensive kit on the shelves, she offered to look for the less expensive version for us - the one she had on the floor was just fine, and when we got to UHaul Kingston, the kit and lock were perfect! Meghan is a great brand ambassador and UHaul Moncton should be delighted to have such a customer service oriented person on their team!

Going here made an already stressful move so much easier. I booked online and when I arrived the trailer, the gear I ordered, and the hitch was ready waiting for me (Though it did seem like the website isn't clear to the employees about if you have paid online so make sure you're paying attention when it comes time to pay). When I arrived, they checked my car to ensure the hitch would attach correctly but soon realized the website had recommended the wrong one for my car. The amazing staff realized this immediately, and quickly got me the correct one and fixed the price so it reflected the smaller hitch I needed, meaning I paid less. There were issues with my car and how it was manufactured trying to attach the trailer wiring but the phenomenal mechanic, Matt, helped me figure everything out and got me in and out of the shop in just over an hour. I cannot say enough good things about U-Haul of Moncton and I have recommended this place to any Moncton friend who is moving! Drop off was super easy and flexible as well. 10 stars/5 stars if I could!

The lady at the desk refused to accept my boyfriends license and was incredibly rude about it. Said she didn't care what the website said, she wasn't going to allow him to pick up the truck. Her solution was to tell us to go all the way back to our house, get my license and put that on their paperwork, but still have him drive. Terrible service. Never had this issue with his exact same license at any other rental place. Will never go back here.

Rented and returned a moving truck from this location. Service was great. However I still have yet to receive my refund for the money owed in over 3 weeks. After many calls, I kept being told by uhaul call support to wait 3-5 business days, and then told to wait more time. Issue ended up being uhaul (not specifically this location) refunded my money to someone else's card twice which concerns me. This took about 3 weeks to resolve.
