Excellent, excellent moving services. Francis suggested doing moves in two parts to save money and it was a great idea. All of his movers are polite, super helpful and accommodating. We moved into a rental with a lot of stairs and they worked so hard and never complained. Would highly recommend them for anyone moving. Ask for Big Mac, Flip, Issa, Jordan, Rob and I believe Ainsley. They were incredible! We will be using them again when we move back once our renovations are done!

Grant, Travis and the other dude (I didn’t catch his name) were excellent. This was definitely one of the easiest moves we’ve done. They were very careful with our stuff and super hard working. They barely stopped in the 8 hours they were with us. I would absolutely recommend this company and see if you can get this trio!

These movers were scheduled far in advance and called the evening before to confirm. The movers never arrived! I called 30 minutes after their arrival time and they claimed "scheduling error". I called an hour after this and they claimed " broken truck". This left us stuck as our house was sold and we needed to move. When I called to discuss, "Francis" yelled at me and refused to listen. He said he would call me back but did not. When I called him back 3 hours after his scheduled arrival time To inform him I finally found movers he became threatening. We ended up moving out of our house over 7 hours late and only with the help of another moving company who picked up their slack. Please don't let the good reviews on this company trick u like they tricked us. See below the response from Francis. This is not how things went down at all.

I wouldn't recommend this moving company. The quote looked good at first, but they totally underestimated the moving time. We ended up spending double what we were originally quoted because the move took so long. We were also hit with hidden fees to move our couch, which was a really uncomfortable situation. The owner was rude when I called to sort out surprise costs. We won't be using this company again.

The workers were good but the owners who do the scheduling squeeze in so many jobs to pocket more money. They didn’t offer me any compensation whatsoever for the stress and cost to me.

HUGE RIP OFF !!!! Initially misrepresented billing and when I told him about it, Matthew M La, he threatened to "dump all my stuff out of the truck" and continued to scream at me until I had to hang up. Once we got past that, he provided a total for the move up to and including delivery. Tricked me into sending two e-transfer because of a delay with the original payment. Then Matthew padded the bill, of which I had proof, and only reimbursed part of the double payment. Then proceeded to argue with me and make excuses when I asked for the balance of my money. BEWARE !!!!!!

Francis movers had the best rates among others that I enquired and I think you pay for the kind of service one offers. To begin, the movers came an hour and a half late (owning to traffic) leaving us with only 30 min of booked elevator time. They came with a small sized trailer attached to a truck, which means they had to cramp all in.. which means damages and yes there were damages, the monitors were scratched, Aeron chairs damaged, bikes spokes damaged, mattress torn and more. Also, the promised "6 complimentary wardrobe boxes" were torn and soiled blankets which one of the guys kept saying they were "brand new", it was evidently not! I don't understand why he kept saying that. To top it all, the final amount turned out to be more than the estimate, even though the total duration took less than the estimated time. Didn't feel like arguing with the moving guys as they did work really hard to fit all the things in that small trailer. On the hindsight, should have gone with other (higher rate) movers. It eventually costed what others quoted. Update: Contacted the office before writing this review and was told there won't be any refund because there "was no total damage and a little wear is expected in your situation". And after the review, they give the below response. Removing another star from the rating.

Francis Movers were highly recommended by family & friends, so I decided to use them for my move on April 1, 2021! It was a real pleasure, talking and dealing with Francis and the guy that works with him, (I think his name is ?...I cannot remember now!) Mike's team...Mike, Tom & Tyrrell, were BEYOND AMAZING and just super fantastic! I would recommend them in a heartbeat! Not one thing got damaged! They made sure that I was always ok. Very thoughtful and caring of them! (As I had a stroke and physically was quite sore). They took care of my things, as if they were their own! They were super careful, with all of my things and always paid attention to EVERY single detail! I would highly recommend them to EVERYONE! I certainly hope that I wouldn't need to move again, but if I did, I would use Francis Movers, in a HEARTBEAT! They ARE THE BEST MOVERS IN TOWN! HANDS DOWN! I give them a 100 out of 10!

I am very late in putting up my personal experience with FRANCIS MOVING. I moved my house with them and found them thorough professional and there rates are very good. Half of my stuff was moved by KIJIJIJI Movers and had a worst experience with them, they took money for both trips and dumped half of stuff in lounge and flew away without the second trip and friend of mine gave me number of Francis Moving. I am really thankful to him as well, as not only Francis moving, done the job but with thorough professionalism even there rates are highly compatible as compared to those CROOKED Movers. Highly recommended.

Very Disappointed as I have used these movers before. I had my dresser damaged and my couch was very dirty. I asked if they wrapped my furniture? They clearly did not. It was not a long move in fact only a ten minute drive to the new address. Would not recommend!!! Beware!!!

we recently hired this company for moving. We did not have a good experience. They complained about everything. The boxes were too heavy, they were the wrong shape. One mover even refused to pick up one item as it was too heavy. Although I told them the size of the house we were moving from they arrived with a 30ft truck. The truck was too small and this resulted in several trips costing us more money as the movers are paid hourly. And to top it all off they tried to over charge us for one hour.

We did 2 moves with this Company in the last 3 months. I liked that you could always call and speak to someone. The first crew were great, no issues. The second move, some parts to our kitchen table went missing so it wasn't set up. We weren't happy but when I called, Frances went to look in the truck and he found them. We still were missing some bolts and he went out to the store and bought them and delivered them to our house. So even though it wasn't a perfect situation, they did provide helpful customer service and rectified the problem. Very appreciated.

They were recommended to me by a friend and I wasn't disappointed. I would go with these movers again and would recommend them to my friends and family. They did an excellent job, he quoted me 5.5 hours and they finished right on time and I didn't have to lift a finger. They were friendly and professional. no hidden fee's, nothing was stolen or broken. they put all the furniture where I asked them and took care of each item they picked up. I wanted to get into the house early as I can, and they did everything before 2pm and I was able to unpack my stuff the rest of the day. go with these guys, you will be happy you did.

I was very impressed with Francis, the owner whilst engaging him telephonically, for he seemed very sincere. Thusly, I chose his moving company on of their seemingly trustworthiness, and superbness of value. I told Francis that the relocation was for me niece, and to take good care of her move. I, also spoke with Mitchell, a splendid employee as well. As for the move itself, nothing but glorious reviews from the 2 mover employees themselves. My niece said they very nice, effectively efficient, rapid, and careful with her objects. Were punctual, and best of all finished the transportation to 2 places ahead of schedule by 1 hour. Thus, I am splendidly satisfied, with the price, professionalism, and the agreed upon price was faithfully adhered as per agreement. Overall, a 5 star experience. Gloriously well recommended by me then. I forgot to mention that I had had 2 ingloriously bad experiences before with other companies.. Last week I moved from a large home to a town house. What I thought would be a relatively simple move, turned out to be a very long exhausting process. Whatever could go wrong, did. From taking apart the ping pong table, to not thinking there was enough room in the truck ,to not being able to get my bedroom furniture up the stairs. Lots of curveballs but Jordan, Johnny & Todd were incredible!!!! They went over and beyond and I would highly recommend Francis Moving Company.

I've used Francis movers twice now for a move. Overall the moves went well. - The movers did good job taking and placing all the furniture from origin to destination. Nothing (walls and furniture) was marked up. - After getting quotes from a few groups, Francis had the best rates. This only happened during one of my moves, but I dock one star cause some of the crew seemed like they really taking their sweet time. I'm not expecting them to be working continuously, its hard work. But here a few unnecessary instances that ran the clock: - repeatedly talking on the phone for 50%+ of the day - checking lotto tickets - making an LCBO stop during lunch Anyhow, I'd still recommend going with them. If you're going to go with them (or anyone), I'd just recommend being physically present with the crew to minimize running the clock.

I chose Francis because about 15 years ago they moved for me and I was happy about the service. Especially, then Francis visited our place the day before the moving. I thought was professional. This time around, it was a very disappointing experience. First of all, I was not asked (on the phone) how many pieces of furniture, etc. I was moving for a one bedroom apartment unit. 740 Sq. Feet. It took 2 movers 8 hours to complete the move. During which they disassembled and assembled 2 Ikea twin beds, plastic wrapped one dresser, and drove 35 minutes to the destination apartment. 10 minutes before departing to the new place, I took a picture of how much stuff we had in the moving truck and attached. It was less than half a truck trunk space. So why it took 8 hours? 1. they arrived late. Promised 9am, started packing at 9.45am. 2. told them the apartment number and they went up. a while later, they both came down and asked me which apartment number, again! 3. they complaint about the elevator was slow. well, it took 30 seconds from 17th floor down, I timed. 4. they moved very slowly, casually. taking their time obviously even my 12 year old noticed. 5. one guy did big business in our washroom without even asking for permission. shortly after he asked the building maintenance for washroom again. 6. my daughter saw they took smoking break but they kept saying they were working non stop. When I talked to the boss, Francis, he kept saying that COVID time hard to find people who are willing to work. Since they charged by hours, and they were with our moving for 8 hours, then we have to pay for that time. Well, minus the 30 minute lunch time. Do you really think to move stuff for a 740 sq feet apartment needs to take 7.5 hours??? (I don't need to add that I helped moved a lot of small stuff beforehand) Shall I call this COVID premium? The photo attached was taken at 12:32pm not long before we left for the new apartment.

We had a very challenging and long move last week with Mike and his crew. We wanted to say how fantastic and patient they were for the 12 hours they worked. The conditions were extremely hot and there were obstacles impeding the move but your team was amazing!! Thank you so so much and we definitely plan on using your company when we move back to our renovated home in a years time.

I used them to move me from a 1 bedroom condo to another 1 bedroom condo. Paid $1,400 cash. This included pack and unpack. They advertise fully insured and bonded. Once they left and i turned on my 3 week old 70inch Sony LED TV there was a spiderweb crack across... tv is ruined.. Francis said his insurance doesn't cover this unless they drop the TV... i had to claim it under my own home insurance and he refused to even cover the $500 deductible... he sent me a $300 e--transfer. He actually said "I'm paying out of my own pocket" if i didn't have insurance I'd be out thousands of dollars! STAY AWAY! Acording to Francis his insurance pays by the pound... huh? Reply to the below: He is a Liar! My friend was there to help and was watching TV the entire time... my gf, not wife had left hours earlier so her breaking it is impossible. The packers came an hour late and kept going to the washroom snorting something... one of the movers went outside and came back stinking of weed.. he told me he just smoked a joint! Like i said STAY AWAY

I booked my move weeks in advance and received no e-mail confirmation, company policies or insurance policies. The night before the move I got a phone call asking if I could move the time as they had double booked with someone who lived in a condo. I could not, so they rented a U-haul to complete my move. The movers who showed up were very unprofessional, kept saying how happy they were that this was a small job with a little truck. They were very happy to rush and finish the job early. Since the truck was not a typical moving truck there were also no tools, moving straps to prevent movement or boxes for bigger items provided. I had to drive to family members who live nearby to get the movers tools to get our bigger items out of the house. Not only was this unprofessional but also took up time for a service that is paid by the hour. When the items were unpacked my TV was completely broken. I contacted the owner and he told me that TV's need to be moved in a box and they only provide insurance $2 per pound- none of these policies were disclosed to me BEFORE the move. If TV's are required to be moved in a box, why did their movers take it? (Does anyone still have the original box their TV came in- I doubt it). Not only did the owners provide me no additional compensation for the TV, but they tried to blame my husband, yelled at me over the phone and took the side of their movers who told us were were f*&!'n idiots as they left the house- professional, right? Needless to say, I will not be using them again and I now need a new TV.

The movers worked hard all day and got the job done without incident.I thought it would be a difficult move because we moved in to a three floor townhouse with a tight stairway, but they were skilled and experienced enough to figure out any maneuver. Furniture damage! We used this company for the second time as the first time we were pretty satisfied with the service and pricing. This time it was a very disappointing experience! The movers took frequent smoke breaks and had a long (over one hour) lunch. One of the movers constantly chatted on the phone as he moved stuff; the other one bumped in to corners and appeared completely clueless and unprofessional. Overall it took them (a crew of three people!) over 8 hours to move contents of a 1+den apartment! Plus after they left and we inspected the furniture two expensive pieces of furniture were badly damaged (attaching the pictures of the damage).

In advance of my move, Matthew of Francis Movers was very responsive and took time to answer my questions and packing materials were the best price I could find in the city. On the day of the move, the crew that showed up were as professional, friendly, helpful and courteous at the start of the day as they were at the end of a very long move day. I had a lot of items to move, which included having to store items in the basement of an old home, and they got all my belongings moved without any issues. My requests were met with a willingness to help and they delivered! Moving can be very stressful however the Francis Movers crew minimized the stress of the move day. I would highly recommend them!
