I hired you people to move me on October 2nd .sloppy work!! They tore my new leather couch and love seat. They just threw clothing into boxes , therefore ruining 2 leather coats and andaxndmostofmyclothing. They bustedmanyexpensivethings. Therisfartomanytolist veryunprofessional,and and very slow. I am taking them to court if need be . Who packs breakables in the bottom of the boxes then puts heavy stuff on top!!

True North easily accommodated my last-minute move. I received a response to my quote request very quickly and I was able to get an in-home quote in less than 24 hours. Two movers arrived early and worked very efficiently. No issues with anything. A previous move with another company - of basically the same furniture & boxes - cost more and took longer. We used True North Movers recently for a small local move. The movers were professional, respectable, and worked quickly. Nothing was damaged in the move, and getting everything from one place to another went smoothly. I'm leaving a 4-star review only because the movers showed up 45 minutes early without warning. While it didn't hamper the move since our boxes were packed and ready, we were using the remaining time to tidy up and get things organized for an easier carry out. Being blindsided left us a bit messy, so advance notice would have been greatly appreciated in this case. For what it's worth, the movers did offer to wait the remaining time, but I was nervous the clock would be running and was so surprised in the moment that I didn't even consider to ask. Overall it was a great move from start to finish and I would certainly recommend True North Movers for anyone planning a move.

This is definitely a five star mover. I emailed them about our planned move and Joshua’s responded quickly. The test came the day before the move when there was a huge snow storm and I was worried they would not get to our apt on time. I emailed Joshua to ask for an update and he responded immediately saying that they left earlier than planned in anticipation of possible increased traffic on the highway. They actually got to the apt early, the guys worked very efficiently to load the truck and drove the 3 hours to our new home getting there just after us. They again moved quickly and unpacked the truck in record time. I highly recommend True North movers because of the quick response to enquires, their proactive approach to dealing with possible issues, their efficient workers and their competitive prices.

Excellent experience. I was needing movers to move furniture/belongings from GTA to London. Joshua and his team at True North Movers were extremely flexible to accommodate my schedule, and they were unbelievably helpful. They helped pack up what we hadn't finished packing with boxes they had prepared to bring, and quickly took everything to their truck. They also made an extra stop on their way back to deliver some items I was donating. I cannot recommend them enough. And they were extremely kind and professional. After a bad experience with "Two Men and a Truck", whom I'd used for two previous moves, (they took the job and then pulled out at the last moment!), my daughter suggested True North. WHAT A FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE! True North took on a tough job (lots of stuff in a small place, and a move out of town) and performed far beyond expectations! They were kind, polite, personable, sure, but what you also want in a moving company is Speed, Efficiency, Effectiveness... and of course a reasonable price. Thus the five-star review. THEY COULDN'T HAVE DONE MORE. I mean that: they did everything perfectly, and I simply cannot think of anything more they could have done! My daughter is happily ensconced in her new home; I am a very pleased father, my wallet is no lighter that it needed to be ;-) and Gordon and several very nice movers were True North Gentlemen. My only regret is that I didn't take a group photo, so I'll leave you with something better, in a way: my two grandsons' blue guitars, safely moved and in their new home.

Moving is one of the most stressful life events people can experience. Our move was much less stressful thanks to this company and the 5 amazing guys who were our moving crew a week ago. They were incredibly careful yet efficient, very professional & patient. I think they picked up on our 'stress level' and our one son who was having a tough time with the move overall. One of the movers was so kind as to say a few encouraging words to our son, who was in his bedroom still packing that morning and wishing the move wasn't happening... Those words helped tremendously. This moving crew had to deal with a narrow street at our new home, an awkward space to move things from the main floor to upstairs, and a low-ceiling basement. But they moved things with ease, with care; their positivity was contagious and it was greatly appreciated that day. We bought them coffee/tea at one point in the morning but I feel as though we should have bought them all a gourmet lunch.. or at least some pizzas and Beer. Reliable and professional services provided from the time of reservation, to the confirmation of appointment with staff in the office , not to mention the efficiency, speed and expertise of the movers . Coby and Jeremy were courteous, respectful and handled our items and furniture with care and diligence . We had difficulty landing on the final star, because the actual team (labor) was excellent. They did a wonderful job building furniture and took good care of the new floors in our new home. No damage of any kind happened in the move. They were friendly and respectful. They were 5 star. The business was more disappointing. Although professional in mannerism and friendliness on the phone, not as professional in providing an accurate estimate of time and cost, or in accountability of providing a poor estimate. They are the professionals who have moving experience. This company over promised and underdelivered. We were disappointed that we had clearly outlined we had two houses, were merging to one and how many rooms/items and also outlined there would be furniture to be built. We relied on the expertise of the estimator on the phone to hear the details and let us know approximately how long. He said even ‘if we went to a full day of 8 hours’ this could all be done reasonably.’ It was 13 1/2 hours. They refunded us one hour for extra and unnecessary driving. Thank you. A miscalculation of 4 1/2 hours doesn’t seem reasonable to us. When given the opportunity to further and more appropriately right this, the company chose not to. I caution those considering this company, to not rely on their estimation of time for the move and furniture building. Had this been a more accurate estimate, we would likely have still gone with the company. The miscalculation of four hours tells me they were making a random guess to make a sale and that has left a bad taste in my mouth. Two star for the company. Caution: Assume their estimates are rushed and quite lowballed. Make a mover choice fully aware of that.

Can't say enough good things about this company. I don't usually take the time to write reviews but given how smoothly the process was, they deserved it! The rates seemed competitive within the industry, however, after hiring them, they deserve top pay. The scheduling process was seamless with a confirmation email. The crew showed up on time and got to work right away. They needed no guidance and were well equipped to dismantle items I was not expecting. Everything that needed protecting, got protected. They moved heavy objects with ease and had smiles on their faces the entire time. They were very friendly but didn't waste time talking. Everything was placed where asked and nothing was damaged. Super impressed! I wasn't around when they finished as they were done much quicker than I expected so i didn't get a chance to say goodbye. Please thank the guys for an awesome job! I had a job (disassembling and moving a large treadmill from storage to rec room) that no one seemed to want to tackle judging by the inflated quotes and the runaround I was getting everywhere I called. True North called me back and did the job next day. They were in and out in less than an hour, no fuss, competent, courteous and the treadmill is up and running perfectly. All this at half of what I was being quoted elsewhere from both moving companies and exercise equipment stores. I recommend them highly.

I am responding to the company after they replied to my review: As the movers know, most of my big furniture was NOT loaded into the containers so no, it was not a 2 bedroom move. My Montreal movers even commented on how poorly the containers were packed. There is no reason why the protectors were not used. hate leaving only 3 stars but after my Montreal movers opened my U-boxes, we discovered that Josh and team from True North movers were in such a rush, they didn't even use any furniture protectors, even though uhaul supplies plenty of them. My new black AC unit was all scratched because a metal piece was put right next to it, with no protection. They would have only had to use a few protectors in all but not one was used. I paid for 3 hours and it only took 2 hours but felt rushed by Josh at the end. Shirley Belec

I could not have asked for a more caring team to manage my fathers move. The two other gentleman on the team for the day of the move introduced themselves with a hand shake and immediately gave me a good sense that all was going to be just fine and it certainly was! The guys were very careful and considerate of my fathers belongings and put floor runners down and wrapped items to protect them. They barely slowed down, worked so hard and definitely earned a good tip. The scope of the job changed a couple of times and they were able to easily pivot to include new drop off and pick up locations and quoted prices accurately and quickly. I was amazed at the care they took in wrapping my furniture and how quickly they emptied my condo and my locker. The move in was very smooth. The guys placed furniture where I wanted it and willingly moved things if I didn’t like where it was. I was impressed with their stamina on fairly steep stairs to go downstairs with heavy boxes and furniture They really went above my expectations ! I highly recommend this company.
