Surprisingly great food, didn't expect it. We had pizza and lasagna, and you could say both were gourmet for sure, to our surprise. Pizza was a bit undercooked, but it was busy and this didn't detract too much from the taste. Nice ambience, in a historic quiet courtyard area of lower old town. This place could be even more happening if: 1. Staff wore similar outfits or uniforms. Staff were cool and friendly but looked a bit rag-tag and out of synch, therefore wrongly seeming unprofessional. 2. The indoor dining area had some speakers for music. You could only hear the din of the bar area/patio so it seemed like we were eating away from the action, even though the room was near full. 3. They have some live background music - that courtyard area is absent of any lively-ness, and this venue could take the cake. Great place, would return.

Hands down, and my wife agrees and she is from New York City, best pizza we have ever had. We ordered the build your own 12inch pizza with pepperoni, onions, feta cheese, and bacon. Then they brought this olive oil that had peppers in it, highly suggest adding that. My wife also said that the red sangria was one of the best and smoothest.

Never believe the google ratings. My finance went here for take out after I looked at the reviews. Absolutely not worth $60 for one tiny pizza and 2 pasta dishes. Nice people but the food is horrible. Sorry. Quebec City in general has few good places to eat regardless. Pillard has great patries and sandwiches.

While we were ordering, waiter told us that their chef is very busy (lol) he said "You probably will wait 30 min for your order." The place wasn't crowded but we said okay no problem. We exactly waited 1.5 hours!! We left without eating their terrible pizza! I am saying terrible because I heard it from others who were sitting behind us. They ordered after us but they received their orders before us. That was the another silly thing. Dear owner of the restaurant, I read your all answers to the others :) probably you will answer me like that. Listen, I don't care! Lol! Just be a professional and accept your mistakes! Don't get me wrong the food was really good. Loved every bite of it! I have given it 3 stars only for the unpleasant customer service. I wouldn't expect to be ignored for the first 15 minutes while being seated inside. The waitress refused to make eye contact with us. At least ask for water. Finally someone did show up at our table took our order and disappeared. Felt unwelcome. The kids were hungry and kept asking for food got embarrassing at one point. Yes I would go again if in Quebec......just for the food!

Service was extremely slow and the staff seemed overwhelmed and incapable of making guests feel comfortable. No air conditioning so try to get a table outside if you decide to go. Prices are steep since it's in a very touristy square so be prepared to split meals if you are on a budget. Be aware that they charge you 3 dollars to share meals. I guess it's such a strain on the chef to cut a pizza in half

We were really hungry after hours of romaing around, we ordered pasta for our family. The owner spoke french we didn't understand so we asked if we can get a translation. He proceeded to shout at us and dropped our pasta on our daughter. He pushed my daughter when she was crying then told us to get lost and find another place to eat. I don’t know if it was because we were American or what. The other few tables seated were acknowledged but I noticed they all spoke French. We finally had no choice but to get up and leave.

My wife and I were happy to find this charming restaurant our first day in Quebec City! We ordered pizza and a salad. The pizza was delicious and a little spicy with plenty of sauce, while the salad was a little overpriced but appetizing. The waiter was quite pleasant and offered quick service.

We went to the restaurant and ordered 2 large pizzas, with multiple drinks. When the reciept came through, the drinks were 30 bucks for just 4 colas and 2 iced teas that you can easily get for $5 for 6 drinks at Walmart. So obviously, we cancelled the drinks. The server with brown curly hair told us we had to leave after coming back from inside. He kicked us out for just cancelling our drinks? There was a white haired man working there, who we believe was the owner, kept staring at us and making us uncomfortable and we suspect he was the one who told out server to get out. Do we had to take out family of 8 to go sit on the floor to eat our pizza. There was plenty of space for other guests. I personally think it's because of us being Muslims and they were discriminating us. We felt very weird, the pizza however was very tasty.

Very good pizza! Never had scallops on pizza before, and they certainly did it right! Our waitress was very kind, and went out of her way to chat with us about some local places nearby. I have been to Quebec City twice and ate here twice. service is slow, but was also very busy and is in a tourist hub. was able to sit outside with the dog and had a very nice view. Food was fantastic and on par with any other food in the vicinity

I had the pizza. Yes a little pricey but also incredible food. Best pizza I've had outside Italy. Fresh ingredients, freshly made, served piping hot. Rude and unappreciative service; overpriced place. Let me explain: my family with children asked to be seated and given a seat right under the sun. When asked to be seated in the shade we were given the shaded seat with grim face. When we ordered drinks to ponder about menu, they brought out 3 lemonades in a can and charges $4.50 per can and $10 for Spanish coffee. When only one person decided to have something, the server refuses to serve by simply saying, "No." I had enough of this nonsense and asked for billing. They charged over $30 for the 4 drinks. Plus because of their rudeness I was not giving them any tip, and yet the server said, "No." So I just paid 15% tip for the drinks. After the tussle, the front service staff who gave us the shaded table with grim face blocks our exit with her leg with dirty look on her face. So who would want to go through such disastrous service and be made to pay tip? The owner may have a good location but bad and overpriced staffs and services make this place a no go.

The pizza was the only thing deserving of the one star. We got kicked out of the restaurant for either cancelling our drinks (one coke was for $5 or so) and we decided we would just stick with getting pizzas and no drinks. It was ridiculous because I noticed the owner (I assume) wouldn’t stop coming out to the patio and staring at us. Oddly enough, the moment we were served pizza, the server came and told us “unfortunately you have to leave the restaurant, there’s a place by the stairs where you can go to eat” It was the most disrespectful and disgusting experience me and my family have ever experienced. I was ready to argue and ask WHY? We remained respectful because we came to Quebec City to have a good time. What a joke.

The place is really nice, clean, and quiet. The service was ok and food was good, perhaps a bit pricey for the quantity but I can understand given the attraction of the location. Really everything was going well until it was time to pay the bill. The waitress (Elodie) punched in the total on the machine and handed it over to me to pay with my card. I noticed the tipping amount had already been entered for me so I cancelled the transaction and told the waitress I'd like to enter the tip amount myself. The waitress nodded but repeated the process and entered the tip amount herself. I asked her why she was doing so, and she said this is the rule in this area and the tip percentage is fixed. I eventually paid as I had intended to tip her anyway but later on I found out the number she added was just the suggested tip and not really a rule anywhere. It really wasn't nice of her to do that. It's quite deceitful and disgusting behavior that ruins the entire experience. She might have secured her tip but she definitely cost the restaurant this customer.

But, the fresh pasta menu has changed a lot: removal of the balzano (which was my favorite dish) and we were a little disappointed that the carbonara was changed for the worse. The pizza was one of the only places where you could eat carbonara very close to the authentic recipe. The sauce is now not just egg yolk with Parmesan cheese, but has been changed to a concoction with "Alfredo" style cream that you would find in a Mike's. I don't know where the sun-dried tomatoes come from either, but the result is very, very far from an Italian carbonara (you are probably sent to prison in Italy to put cream in a carbonara;)) and should not to be called so. (Original) Est-ce que c’était bon? Oui. Mais, le menu de pâtes fraîches a beaucoup changé: retrait du balzano (qui était mon plat favori) et nous avons été un peu déçu que le carbonara ait été changé pour le pire. La pizz était un des seuls endroits où on pouvait manger un carbonara très près de l’authentique recette. La sauce n’est maintenant pas que du jaune d’œuf avec du parmesan mais a été changée pour une concoction avec de la crème style « alfredo » qu’on trouverait dans un Mike’s. Je ne sais pas d’où sortent les tomates séchées non plus, mais le résultat est très très loin d’un carbonara italien (on vous envoie probablement en prison en Italie pour mettre de la crème dans un carbonara ;) )et ne devrait pas s’appeler ainsi.
