Both Landon and Sarah were very organized and diligent about working quickly. My things are important to me and they handled them as their own. So when I am dealing with a mover here are the points that I need to have dealt with. 1. The cost has to be reasonable. It doesn’t have to be cheap but I am not looking for a huge cost. The cost of the move that we had was reasonable. 2. We want them to be on time and to deal with the move in a reasonable amount of time. They were exactly on time and the move was completed within a couple of hours. 3. We expect care for the items that are moved and no damages. They were very careful with the entire move and there were no damages 4. When they arrive with the items we need them placed where we want them. They were very accommodating and moving all of the furniture into the rooms where we needed it to be. This was an unusual move. The furniture that we were moving we had never seen as it was being donated for a refugee family. We didn’t know exactly how much furniture would be coming and so we didn’t know where it would be placed. Our experience was very positive and they made it very easy for us. I would recommend them and we have actually booked another move for a friend for next week

Moved my Mom to an assisted living apartment. First scheduled attempt was precluded by a fire in the apartment building. Landon was the first to reach us with the news. We stayed in close touch in the next few weeks until a new move date was feasible. On the day of the move, Francois and Jesse arrived on time and showed care not only for Mom's possessions but for her concerns. 3 hours later they unloaded and Mom was into her new home. Everything about our move was an exceptional experience. From the quote with Francois to the move date itself which 1Up moving managed to do on such short notice. Wayne, Jason, and Charles were very professional. They were friendly, quite efficient, and did what they could to make the day as stress free as possible for us. They took an old freezer out of the basement of our new house because my husband couldn’t move it due to him being on crutches. The boys focused on getting our couch and chair and other furniture placed where I asked. The best part was the laughs we had that day. What a wonderful group of guys they are. The move and labour 1-up provided was less than originally quoted so we came in under budget. They adjusted the final bill and left us happy with the move into our new house. We would recommend the 1 Up Moving team to anyone. They truly do offer a stress free, experience and lots of laughs. I was really pleased with the three guys who actually moved our belongings, they were fast and very courteous. However the quote I was given by one of the other staff members, who may infact be an owner, was very misleading, I was told there might be 2 or 3 guys assigned to my move but that the cost was $110 per hour. After the move was complete I was charged an additional amount per hour for the third mover (approximately 50 bucks). The guys who moved my belongings were apologetic and tried to talk to their boss about the quote but ultimately I was charged about 150/160 per hour. I'm really dissapointed as the gentlemen who provided the in home estimate/quote was very friendly/respectful but I feel he was very misleading. I feel the company should have charged me for the original hourly amount and based on what bordered on being dishonesty I wouldn't use this mover again. UPDATE*** I was contacted by the owner and received an apology and a refund for the third mover cost.

I ordered 2 beds from Surplus Furniture and they were delivered without blemish or hassle, and my sister did not voice any issues as she was the one at home that day. Today, I had another delivery from Surplus (a recliner set) and this time it was me who was home. The gentlemen came within the allotted timeframe, they were extremely respectful in removing their shoes when carrying in the recliners, and they even set up the pieces for me and took care of the packaging waste! I am extremely happy with their service, they were super professional and friendly. I hope to see them again in the future when I buy a house and need movers. Highly recommend!!

These dudes are AMAZING! 10/10 Fantastic movers. Hired primarily for my piano, I was worried that - like the Med Hat Piano movers I hired 1 year ago - that some scrawny, coked out dudes would show up again (It was a sad time for my piano and the walls of my rental) - but these four strong MEN from 1Up Moving came and made the job look practically effortless. Not a single SCRATCH. I am AMAZED. On top of that, they were top notch professional and hilarious. Listening to the delegation in moving the piano from the one dude was on a whole other level of impressive. Start to finish, this was a great experience. From the quote on site with Francois to the move date itself. Charles and Wayne were beyond professional. They were kind, caring, efficient, and did whatever they could to make the day as stress free as possible for us. Since it was a two day move to Calgary, our twin toddlers were a bit crabby with all the changes. Without us even asking, Wayne and Charles focused on getting their beds ready so they could have a nice nap in something familiar. The icing on the cake was that the labour 1-up provided was less than originally quoted so we came in nicely under budget. They easily adjusted the final bill and left us happy and moved into our new house. We would recommend the 1-up team to anyone, They truly do offer a stress free experience. Thank you all!

The team at 1 Up Moving was on time, friendly and took good care of our unique moving situation with ease. There was a few stops to make, a piano to pick up and a lot of unloading to do. Even when a piece of glass broke that sat on top of a dresser, they measured and replaced as soon as glass was in. First time using this company to deliver some furniture. Expected a delivery between 2-4 pm and never received a phone call nor did the delivery truck show up. Phoned the office in Lethbridge and recieved no response either. UPDATE: 1Up finally contacted me after operating hours and informed me that on Sunday they'll make good their delivery first thing in the morning and waive all charges. Now that's good customer service! Apparently there was a misunderstanding between the furniture store and the delivery personnel of 1Up.

Did a decent job with the move. Disappointed that they never sent an email or called to confirm time/date for an out-of-town move. Watched them try to throw a pillow in the truck 3 times. Questionable scratch on footboard of bed. They didn’t have/use any foot covering or mats especially while walking on white carpet. Felt like maybe I should have monitored them more.

I don't normally write reviews at all, but feel as though I should give someone else the heads up for future, and hope your experience is better than ours. They were Professional to begin with before the actual move took place but during the move and after they have been horrible to deal with. Once the day arrived, received only 1/2 hour notice that they would be 4 hours behind, and couldn't give me an actual time they would arrive. Once I asked what would happen as a result, I was greeted with "Well, we are being as accomodating as possible" which is in complete contradiction to the "We will devote the two days on the weekend to your move" comment I had received before the move began, at the time of the estimate. With family members in our family not being able to physically move, it was not a good situation when it caused those particular family members to pick up and move boxes to help due to the 4 hours late. I would understand if they had been upfront with moving someone else the day of the move, but when it's been stated that the weekend will be "devoted", that doesn't sit well with me, and clearly stated that they would be on time to have us out of the home in time, as this was very time sensitive. Owners have been negligent in taking care of us as promised, and I will not use them again, or refer them to anyone, which is sad for me.

Forget 5 stars, give them 100!! We had them move us in to our new home today and it was an incredible experience. Friendly, happy, never negative even though we had some "gong show" furniture to move such as a murphy-bed, piano, and an elliptical. Not an ideal move and they never complained once, were professional and complimentary. Our experience was excellent and highly recommend.

We had a very heavy piano that had to come from our detached garage up our back deck stairs (which were very steep) and into the house. They worked really well together and made everything look so easy. A great moving experience.

These guys (Francois, Kellen, Kaeden & Joe) were amazing. We had appliances to move out of town from our storage locker. They showed up and had the appliances loaded in minutes and were quickly on their way. At the destination, they walked through the house, making their plan of action for a smooth execution. We also needed them to carry a cast-iron tub up two flights of stairs with corners. The four of them made 'quick' work of it and no damage to the walls or tub. I would recommend them any day and use them again. Thank you for all your hard work!

I used 1 up moving for a move out into storage and a move in from storage. Both times the staff were professional, efficient, and kind. They treated all my items with care, and notified on any items that were un-sturdy to move and may not make the move, but took care with these items anyway. I had to move dates on both moves due to unforeseen circumstance and they were willing to accommodate and communication was clear and quick. Wayne, Joe, and Francois did an amazing job, and I am more than please with the service. Fantastic service! Had to move a large granite vanity into the house and called 1Up so I didn't break the vanity or my back! I had to delay the moving date and 1Up were very accommodating with rescheduling. On the day of the move they showed up exactly on time and had the vanity moved inside in no time. A++ and even thought the tall skinny girl was small in frame, she sure made up for with brute force and a real get up and go attitude! ...The shorter Polish man she was with left nothing but smiles and giggles on my chest hair and face with his jokes about the upcoming third world War on television, and the two knocked it out of the park with promptness, and facial hair!...but in all seriousness they were a couple of lovers!...again I'm kidding....really happy with the boys, even helped me with my back problem by performing the shiatsu massage, each taking turns and giving me a good rub down while I prepared a couple chili cheese dogs for the road for them! ....but in fairness no complaints...couple good workers and was very happy with the service, will be sure to recommend!....thanks!...and in all seriousness is she single?... nevermind my wife is coming....I'll get back to you....k....I like a strong pollack!...bada Bing! These gentlemen did a FANTASTIC job at moving a piano that weighed around 700 lbs. The two gentlemen that moved our belongings to another house were the most professional, knowledgable, efficent, hard working, respectful, punctual, genuine, friendly, courteous, polite. I have nothing but good things to say about these two fine gentlemen. They treated our belongings like their own. Nothing was damaged. We had an electric love seat, an electric couch, a standup freezer, washer and dryer, and numerous pieces of furniture and boxes that were heavy and big. They made sure that everything was put in place where we wanted them. If I ever have to move again I will definitely be calling them. I highly recommend them to anyone including family who requires a moving company. We moved from 51 Westlynn Dr in Claresholm to another address in Claresholm. They had to drive from Lethbridge which incurred mileage. The price ended up being less than half of what we were expecting to pay. Even if we did have to pay the estimate that was given, there would be no hesitation. Definitely worth the money. I wish I could remember their names so they can be recognized. My apologies because they deserve the recognition and are a big asset to the company.

Called 1Up to move my household from north Lethbridge to the west side. The whole experience was excellent from start to finish. Booking with Landon was easy. He was very professional and friendly. The day of the move Ryan and Jesse arrived early and got straight to work. The two of them accomplished as much in 10 hours as it took three men to do when I moved prior, without any damage to my belongings or either house. The "professionals" I used the first time I moved dented and marked up walls and furniture. Jesse and Ryan did not. Both were friendly, funny, and extremely competent. I would not hestitate to recommend 1Up to anyone who is planning a move.

Our first experience with 1Up Moving was to move a few dressers to make more room in our bedroom due to one of us having surgery. It was short notice and they fit it in with their busy schedule. Really appreciated their prompt service. About 6 months later we sold our home and moved into a condo. They did an absolutely excellent job, very courteous and were very careful with our prized possessions. I was really impressed with their attitude and it was during the Covid restrictions so they all wore their masks. About 1 month after our move to the condo, I called to have them move an existing stereo stand into the garage and to set the new one in its place in our front room. This was a pretty heavy piano and they didn't charge us an arm and a leg to move it from Coaldale to Coalhurst (some other companies wanted more money because it wasn't just in Lethbridge) They did a great job wrapping it up and making sure they were careful with it. They were prompt at coming and when they couldn't be there the day before due to someone being sick they called right away. Moving out the crew was fast and efficient however moving into the new home was a bit of a let down. The screws were not tightened on the dining room table, there were pieces left over from the master bed assembly, and some of the furniture items were damaged and only half the crew showed up for the move in. Those that came worked hard and were courteous but I could clearly see they were short handed. It was too bad that the 'move in' was not as good as the 'move out.' I am not able to offer 5 stars because there was a definite let-down on the last half of the project.
