The manager, I believe her name is Tina or Trina, was very rude to my husband the day before. We tried phoning for about 40-45 minutes and by the time she picked up the phone it was 5 minutes to closing time. It was like she was mocking him. The next day I went there to collect my winnings from the auction and it was super difficult to rent a truck! You need a credit card to rent a cargo van but you don't have to have one for any other trucks. They told us there were no trucks available but my husband was able to rent a truck online. The 3 guys behind the desk were kind of rude it my helpers except for one gentleman his name is Thomas Karpiuk. He deserves a 5 star rating! I would have only given a 1 star rating if Thomas was not there that day. So thank you Thomas for being so polite & respectful and making my experience a lot better then it would have it you were not present!

The worst customer service ever. Tina the manager she has some personal problems in her life that she bring it to her job side and never missed a chance to argue with customers. She has very bad attitude she doesn’t deserve that post . I will never try this location any more and will suggest other people to avoid this location until U haul fire this useless person.????
I just had a TERRIBLE customer service experience at this location. Had an appt scheduled for 11am this morning. Walked in and told was told no, it wasn't scheduled and in fact, i had missed a call from Tina the manager - I said, yes i know i called back and spoke to someone on the phone 30 min after the missed call. Here is my awesome friendly conversation with them: UHaul: "oh, you must have talked to the call center - you never want to talk to them - they will tell you what you want to hear even though they dont know whats going on". Me: "how am I to know i talked to the call center, i dialed your specific number - here look it is still in my recent dials" UHaul: " oh if we dont answer here it goes to them. You need to ask them if its the call center or not". Me: "O-K" long story short i was blamed for not reading my email correctly - that the email said that someone would call to confirm my appt. Also i was looked at like a dummy and told we don't have the parts here - they are coming from the states. HOW AM I TO KNOW THIS WHEN I HAVE ALREADY PAID, RECEIVED A CONFIRMATION EMAIL OF MY APPT. so, i left. I sat in my car, reread my email WHERE ACTUALLY IT DOESN'T SAY THAT SOMEONE IS GOING TO CALL ME. in fact it says and I quote "on Wednesday September 06, 2017 you should plan for the hitch installation to take up to 3 hours. You are welcome to leave your vehicle with us" Basically i drove 45 min, left my two young children with a paid baby sitter only to have the worst customer service experience i had had in...ever. i cancelled my appt and have gone with someone else local. these people might save you $50-100 on your hitch, but it is not worth it to deal with terrible people like this.
Horrible customer service. I was unsure where to park as the few parking spaces infront say 15minutes maximum parking and the only available spot was disabled parking. I seen vehicles parked at the very back so I proceeded to go park there. That's when a worker driving a uhaul truck stopped me and gestured for me to turn around. As I proceeded to do so, thinking he would give me time to turn around. He drove forward and parked directly behind my vehicle making it very difficult to turn around, when I asked him what he was doing, his rude response was for me to think about it logically and walked away leaving me to struggle to turn my vehicle around with minimum space. I will not return to this location.
Super easy - reserved online a week in advance and behold a brand new truck was ready at the reserved time - everyone was nice and cheery and not at all like the experience I feared

So I made a reservation on U-Hauls website on Wednesday with intentions to pickup the truck on Friday. Not much notice, I know, but I figured if I could make the RESERVATION that I would be able to have the truck no problem. So I went online and reserved the truck I wanted from the location I wanted. The reservation went through and I received an email confirming the reservation and availability. Fast forward to today (hours before I am due to pick up the truck) and I receive a call from the U-Haul call centre. I was told that the truck I wanted was not available at the location I requested, and that the next best option was to pick it up from a location an additional away. At first I was a little shocked that the RESERVATION I made was not honoured, but I said nothing about that and told them I had no problem picking it up from the location that was further away. I asked what would happen as far as compensation is concerned since I would be driving additional KM's and I did not feel as though it would be fair to be charged for it. I was told that there would be no compensation and that there was nothing I could do. I tried to explain to the customer rep the point of a reservation: res·er·va·tion [rez-er-vey-shuhn] Show IPA noun 1. the act of keeping back, withholding, or setting apart. 5. an arrangement to secure accommodations at a restaurant or hotel, on a boat or plane, etc. However she told me that if I read the terms and conditions I would have seen that my reservation I made online is simply just a preference. I told her that it isn't fair to assume I would read through their terms and conditions, and if there was something that I should have known it should be more apparent then being tucked into their terms and conditions. I asked to talk to her manager, assuming that I would have better luck with that. The manager gave me the same speech and told me I have two options. Take a MUCH larger truck at the location I requested, or take the truck I wanted from the location that was further away. However I would _NOT_ be compensated. I explained that the one truck was larger than I was comfortable driving (26') and that I did not think it was fair to pay extra for the 17'. She told me tough luck and that she had other customers so I had to make a decision or get off the phone. Since I wasn't comfortable paying extra I opted for the larger truck, but I am extremely disapointed with U-haul during this entire thing. I went online immediately after to see if I had done something wrong while making the reservation. The first thing I noticed when I went to make the reservation online was this: $50 reservation guarantee When you make a reservation, we guarantee to provide you with the equipment size, location, and pickup time as agreed. Should you not receive the equipment size, location, and pickup time you agreed to, U-Haul will compensate you $50. ----- After I saw that I immediately phoned u-haul back and requested that I receive the $50.00 credit. I was told that I was NOT eligible for the credit since my reservation online doesn't count as " pickup time you agreed to,". The pickup time that I agree to is what I agreed to when they phoned and TOLD me what my options were. I feel like I am on an episode of Punk'd and that TV Camera's will be at the location when I go to pick up the truck. If not this is definitely some of the worst costumer service I have ever received from a large company. I expected so much more from U-Haul, and was unfortunately extremely let down and disappointed.
Great staff incredibly friendly and helpful with the process. Kept my reservation after the ferry was late 2 hours and helped me hook up the trailer in a pinch. 10/10 would recommend

Had to go to another uhaul dealer in Abbotsford as my reservation wasn't available at this one. After receiving a message that from uhaul it was available here after it got changed from the dealer in Port Moody.

The parking layout was confusing, the routing on their lot was confusing, the staff was extremely unhelpful and quite rude. Lots of waiting around while most staff did things sluggishly. Felt like a heel when in the place. That was 3.5 years ago and now I'm moving and came across their site, and remembered my experience well enough I was moved to write this report at this late date.

Terrible service, dirty vehicles with mechanical problems(transmission blew after 1.5 hour of drive) Took them few hours to send us tow truck.Had to contact head office as local U-haul couldnt do anything. Stuff has no knowledge about their vehicles, paperwork location etc. Wish someone open new truck rental company with better service and diesel vans/trucks.
I ended up going to a location in Surrey... this was what I wrote in the "Write a Review" email. This location was the scheduled pickup location. This issue is not with this location. This location was fine. This issue is with the reservation process. I signed up for a completely different time and location and was not notified of any changes until we were on the phone with customer service (after visiting the scheduled pickup point and time). This meant our fuel costs went up, our day was messed up so we had to do it over two days (which caused me to miss work-a whole day's pay), and created conflict with set move out date with our previous landlord. U-Haul left a sour taste in our mouth - and we even talked with another of your customers (we didn't know her) who was yanked around in a similar fashion. Most likely will not be a return customer unless something drasticly changes with service.
Horrible rude unprofessional lying childish.....the list goes on. That is the type of service you will receive if you deal with (what I assume is a 16 year old boy trying his hand at having a grown up job) James. I have never experienced anything like that from an employee that is supposed to deal front line with customers. This is not a slight against the business itself but one very sad, disturbed young employee that should probably not deal with people one on one. Because of that one person though I would prefer not to and would encourage others not to bother doing business at this location lest you have the same experience I had.

The customer service is quite pitiful and needs to be addressed and crubed right away(This is why I gave 1 star). Otherwise the equipment is clean and comfortable to use and if i could do a separate review for the equipment, I would of given 4 stars.

It's Uhaul people... Seemed like a family run business which is awesome. Nice hardworking people, organized and prompt service. No complaints here. They are a very busy depot so make sure you are organized as a customer as well!
Great experience renting here. Staff was very helpful and courteous. Easy in and out procedure. My bill was reduced upon return and receipt provided less than 5 min after driving the van back on the lot.
Unbelievably frustrating to book a truck, hire labourers, preregister, confirm and organize the day, only to be told just before pick up that there is no truck available. Huge inconvenience and stress as a result! I will never rent here again.

Customer service concern. Had a 7 AM appointment for hitch installation which they cancelled by text at 6:34 AM. ARGGH! The U Haul employee was incapable of understanding that maybe they should have contacted me sooner. If you use this location make sure you phone them in advance, check with them again the day before your appointment and basically do their communication job. Plus, after reading other negative reviews, I wonder if anyone should ever go to this place.
Pros : Great location spot to rent vehicles and to purchase tools / equipment for moving or hauling. Customer Service is ok , they willing to give discount or deduct for any inconvenience of service ( Depending on issue ) . Prices are firm for Uhaul / Move products and items. Cons: Depending on customer service rep. , some are helpful - others are not so helpful with an attitude either in person or by phone. They never call customers in case if there were changes to a reserved vehicle and when you arrive, they try to give you another vehicle that may not suite you or your budget. Found one vehicle that felt like the transmission was going to go knowing that I was just on my way to pick up a load for the dump run; just going up a small hill on a small uhaul truck shouldn't have a transmission to push itself - accelerate almost on 3rd gear fast.

From the moment I called to book my truck, to the moment I called back with a delay I was met with very happy polite women on the phone. Then great friendly service when I picked up my truck and dropped it off too! It made my that part of my move zero stress. Also picking up and dropping off my truck was very quick process, the equipment was in great shape, paperwork was easy ... And they have everything you could imagine that you might need in store... Locks. . Tarps. .. boxes you name it. Great value and services over all I don't often take time to do a survey but I also work in a customer service industry and really respect when I'm treated as well as I was, so Ibwanted to say a big thanks to Jake and the team. Have used this location a few times now for small moves. Fast and efficient service and always painless. Employees who work there are friendly and helpful. They had their computer system acting slowly and still were trying their best to get everyone out as fast as they could. Will continue to use this location!
The website says nothing about where to park your own vehicle when picking up uhaul. So I asked via live chat and was told no parking in lot of your personal vehicles. Yet when contacted by reserve location staff, I was told to park near my pick up vehicle. Then as returning vehicle was charged $56 for gasoline after I just put in enough gas to make the needle back to 1/2 tank! Signing in via Web was a bit of a challenge and time consuming. Quite a different experience at this location than my usual experience at the smaller locations.
The back door of the 15' truck I rented could not be closed. It was stuck open the entire time. I have rented many U-Haul trucks before this was an inoperable door. I only used the truck for 1:45minutes. I picked it up at 12:15pm and returned it before 2:00pm. I ran the gas from 7/8 tank to 3/4 tank. The red haired gentleman who checked me out was rude and made a strong point about how much gas I was short and was not willing to listen to the fact that the door was broken on the back of the truck. I paid $90 for less than two hours of use on a truck which the back door could not close, and which truck was return before 2:00pm and could have been rented out twice in the same day. I paid a full day's rate. When I asked if I could be forgiven the 1/8 tank of gas I used he was very unwilling to reason and charged me $90. Most other U-Haul trucks when I return them in the same day, or rather early than reserved, the staff forgive the small fuel shortage. He was as I say unreasonable. I will not use this U-Haul in Langley on 56 Avenue ever again. The staff there was not human, and did not deal with me using common sense.

Due to a bad experience 15+ years ago at a differen location I haven't used U-Haul in that long. I needed a moving van on short notice so I bit the bullet. Wow! This location has amazing service and staff! I wish I had written down the gentleman's name working the desk yesterday morning. He was beyond friendly, courteous, informative... I really can't say enough good things. One of the best customer service encounters I've had in years. The kind where everything is done efficiently but with no sense of rush. He maintained pleasant conversation while he performed all of his data entry. The van: near new, drove like a dream, the a/c was so powerful I had to turn it down on the highway! The one thing that definitely stood out was how comfortable to seats were. I was only driving it about 2.5 hours total number having just done a road trip the week before in a friends brand new car... The van was more comfortable. After hours drop off was dead simple. While I hope I don't have any moving to do again for years... If I do I'll rent here. This experience turned me from someone who for 15+ years has warned against U-Haul to one who will highly recommend. At least this location! ;) A++++

The staff and management at the Langley location were very pleasant to deal with. Customer Service is a two-way street. The customer also needs to be professional and respectful to the staff. They are frontline workers working in stressful times. Ours was a smooth transaction. My only recommendation is that you read the contract before you leave the office. There was a mileage discrepancy on the contract that we should have spotted, but the Langley manager dealt with it in a very friendly and professional manner. We would not hesitate to recommend the Langley U-Haul location and we would definitely use them again if the need arises. Thank you.

Confirmed an Enclosed Trailer and on pickup day nothing available. I am in a jam so I then have to rent the Van that costs more, more insurance and mileage. Bait & Switch? You know how to take the Reservation but you don’t know how to hold the Reservation: Seinfeld

My uhaul van sounded like it was about to blow....
Had a reservation for 4pm got an email 10 minutes before that my uhaul wasn't ready until a later time when I already drove half hour to get it. The truck milage was wrong had wood in the back ect. They gave me a 20 instead of 26. Took deposit then took extra money with no explanation. The return was ridiculous took 3 tries and couldn't receive a deposit spent time calling multiple times not to get through. Spent an hour online for nothing to be told ill be contacted within 1-3 days. My worst uhaul experience
If I could rate zero stars I would. Rented for over a year in one of the indoor heated units. Things looked clean and reputable upon moving in. Fast forward a year later to move out of the unit only to discover a mice infested unit. Feces on and inside everything and a hole ripped in the corner of my almost brand new couch where they continued to burrow and make their home inside. Called and spoke with Uhaul customer service who advised to take pictures of the damage and to speak with the office onsite for a claims number. Went to speak with the office only to be told that because I didn't have coverage on the unit itself that there was nothing they could do and offered no help or assistance. So after a year of almost paying them $1700, they expected me to continue paying for the unit. Needless to say we moved our contents out and had also found out that other units were infested. The kicker, a week before discovering the damage Uhaul sent a letter to advise that "improvements" had been done onsite to ensure the "quality" of the premise to avoid such rat/mice infestations and would be increasing the monthly rates. Would NOT recommend.

I just thought I'd share my experience as a first time customer. Never have I used this service before and was looking to rent a moving vehicle to help my daughter move. I am absolutely traumatized beyond words. When I arrived I had only the one female representative that was helping me get started on renting a vehicle, when I was asked for a contact number that they could call and confirm I immediately starting thinking of family members that would be able to answer a call because most everyone works. I gave one of my sister's name off a whim because I knew she was just getting off work. After it was verified that I wanted to rent a vehicle I then was told that there was a issue that had occurred in her past where she had dealt with identity theft resulting in thieves renting a vehicle in her name to which they never found, so I was told that they attached my name to hers and I can never rent a vehicle off them. I'm having a hard time comprehending that policy as I was told it's company policy, and feel that this company has tarnished my name with them for something I had no knowledge of till that moment. I have great credit, bills always paid in full and on time which I take great pride in and I certainly do not associate with undesirable types. I was given a number for head office which I called and to have my name removed from having any association from this matter and was told she would call the manager of the location to confirm that my sister was not with me and just when I thought things couldn't be any worse I was dead wrong. The head office said the manager of the location heard my sister tell me on the phone that she needed a truck which was never said. Yes I had called her in horror and shock to ask her what all the stuff they told me about her was all about and inform her that they are now saying they will never rent to me and now I was going to have a hard time getting my daughter moved. The head office said the manager heard my sister say she needed a truck which was a lie so all I could do was hold my frustration in and said I think there was a mis communication and that I would like to keep her on the phone and address the manager. He was busy on the phone and while I was still with the initial lady who was sitting at her desk helping me, I thought well she could verify because she was sitting there the whole time. I then asked her to verify and she looked over to the manager office then looked at me and looked me dead in the eyes and said I don't know as I wasn't here and you were talking to a different girl. In that moment I just felt like a deer in headlights as I couldn't understand what what happening and felt anger and just this mortified feeling. I thought to myself just continue to try and deal with this in a positive way and I did try to ask how I would be refused a first time service due to something I had no knowledge of and how to have my name removed from any type of connection to this and was told that this was permanent and agian it's company policy. I left in tears and I am still utterly traumatized from this whole ordeal. I guess my next steps is to figure out who I speak to higher up to find some type of resolve and maybe call BBB to report my experience there aswell. It's hard to even talk about this without feeling like I want to break down and cry. Never has my name been tarnished for something I haven't done or ever had a connection to. No help from 56th Langley location or head office.

Can't agree more with Evo Soul's review. Tina Pender's ability to deal with paying customers is absurd. She has no idea how to navigate their POS system, chats to staff about lunch rewards for 5 minutes while customers wait at the counter. There have been numerous times where a customer was in front of me to pay or pick up a reservation and as usual, the truck isn't available and when the customer gets upset about that, there's nothing offered but her rude attitude and snarky remarks behind their back as they walk out of the store. I have had storage at this location after a move for over a year and was promised a month free with my rental. I asked monthly for 6 months, then eventually went to head office after a year to get credited for what I should have had the first month. Why didn't I get my first month free as advertised? It's explained that there needs to be another unit of the exact same dimensions available at the time or the promotion is not valid. Does it say that anywhere in the contract? Nope. My opinion? Tina Pender is a greedy GM who tries to squeeze every last dollar out of your pockets in order to go home with a grinch-like grin on her face. She recently explained a rate hike to me to my face by stating that "Head office sets the prices, every year there is a rate hike". I received zero notification of this and she disregarded that fact in order to ask how I want to pay. I was later told that there was a letter sent out to me... to an address where I didn't live anymore... and that I was the only customer at that location not to receive an e-mail (which was accurate) regarding the price increase. Shady and vindictive. I have called several times to implement change and bring awareness to Tina Pender's absurd business practices. The upper management seem to agree with her tactics, disregard the amount of complaints this location receives or gets a one-sided story exaggerated by Tina in order to cover herself. Disgusting. I have moved out as a result and won't rent from U-Haul to move, nor will I store my belongings at their locations. FYI, my rental unit started at 189.99 CDN and has since increased to 209.99 in a mere year and a half. Unacceptable, no matter who makes the increase. Do yourself a favor and avoid this location if you choose U-haul unless you like to argue with a wretched woman that likes to bully her clients.
I’ve had 2 hitches installed here and rented once. They’ve done a good job both times. The staff are much more friendly than other U-Haul locations. It also looks like they typically have more trucks available at any given time than other locations
No customer service. Had a trailer reserved for Friday and they gave it to someone else. Reserved another for Saturday and now that one was returned with a bad bearing and no mechanic to fix it so have now wasted 2 days of my time FRUSTRATION!

We have had a storage locker here for years and they have always been helpful and accommodating. Recently we had a 40 foot shipping container dropped of, the worked with us and the shipping company to make room while we unloaded it.

No communication! Wasted so much time trying to get a hitch installed. When I showed up for my appointment, made weeks into advance, they said they didn’t even have it in stock. They failed to inform me so I wasted time even coming there and arranging my day around it. They made a new appointment for me and said they would call me beforehand (which they didn’t) and I see as I reopen the details to my order that they have switched the date on me (zero email or phone notification) and without any consent or communication. One of the most frustrating experiences I’ve had with customer service. Emailed headquarters and got no response either.

4 Strikes and your out Strike 1: After booking two weeks in advance, received a phonecall less than 24 hours from truck pickup stating that truck wouldnt be available and the only one was in Kelowna. Well nows a great time to tell me, I then called to complain only to find that the truck MIRACULOUSLY re appeared for my pickup! Strike 2: I pickup the truck, and get billed 248$ even though I was quoted only 148 online. Counter guy says oh it must have been USD. So I paid the 248 because obviously I needed the god damn truck immediately. Strike 3: Truck had no gas in it. I picked it up and even the lot guy stated oh yah its got 3/16 of a tank. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I said I dont even know if it can make it to the gas station? how inconvienient. Lot guy responded with well the last guy that dropped it off didnt fuel it up. I DONT CARE THAT IS NOT MY PROBLEM HOW HARD IS IT TO CARRY A JERRY CAN ON SITE? Strike 4: Called to complain about the price discrepancy. UHAUL stated I would receive a refund. Never did, called three weeks later, and they told me they forgot to send me a refund. Still not sure if I will ever receive so called refund. How could this get any worse? The only good part of the experience was talking to UHAUL customer service based in USA, where it actually sounded like they cared.
Staff is professional however their automated system for returning the vehicle afterhours is a nightmare....spent 30 minutes trying to return the truck having to wait on hold with staff while they were able to turn on location services with Google Chrome (which is the most used internet browser in the world and the system blocks location services so I wasn't able to return the vehicle until they figured it out). Also had problems with the computer system when I came back into the branch to get a refund on the deposit and had to wait 15 minutes. I am fairly technically savy but I can imagine that someone who isn't would be really pulling their hair out. Seems like U-Haul I'm the name of saving money with artificial intelligence has passed on a frustrating experience to the customer...I don't know if anyone reads these reviews or not on the U-Haul team or if it has become just another corporation run by bean counters...
Staff was very helpful and patient while I was trying to hook up a trailer. Even it took me a long time and in the end it just didn't work, they were more that happy to offer me a pickup truck and a refund on the trailer. Thanks!

Poor poor service! Ordered and paid for a trailer hitch to be installed on the 17th confirmation said appt would be on the 21st and the Langley store would contact me. Didn't hear anything, so called them on the 19th and was told no I didn't have an appointment, it takes 4-6 days for the parts to come in. They would call. July 24 still haven't heard anything.... can't get through to location call centre picks up and says they will leave Tina a message, no response. Tuesday I call again, get call centre, they tell me I have appt at 4:30 on Thursday, I again ask for Tina to call me because she had told me that it would take 3 hrs so how could I have a 4:30 appt. call back Thursday morning and am told no I have an appt at 12:30. I of course can't make that and aske for Tina to call me. I call back three times.. no return call. Today Friday I speak to call centre again, no Tina isn't available, but they take the time to look into things... hmmm no my hitch hasn't even arrived in Langley, they don't know why I had an appt, they will leave Tina a message and put me through to Customer Service where I waited 5 minutes and no one came in line... coffee break over i need to go back to work. So left a message on Facebook measenger... they are very sorry, but nothing they can do... contact the store for refund. So weekend family vacation is now cancelled. U haul still has my money and I have no contact fromTina. Extremely upset and disappointed
Horrible experience with who is suppose to be a supervisor, staff are not on the same page regarding company policy. Received a phone call after booking online that I may need to go to the location due to me having a yellow slip as i await my licence. After rushing at 5:30 to show my yellow slip with my ID, I was instructed that I have to submit the yellow slip online with my passport. Explained that I was told I cant that's the reason I drove 30 mins because I was instructed, he refused from even looking into the matter. Showing him my ID and paper even asking to cancel the online reservation and make a new one his response is "whatever the person told you that's it". The workers there were more understanding of the situation. Due to the time constraint was the only reason I persist with figuring out how to get a truck from there. I guess being a big organisation you can offer little to no customer service cause we dont have another alternative.
Terrible customer service and organization skills. First off they told me they had all the parts ordered in and ready to install for my hitch. I drop my car off and they never call me... Called them and they said they forgot to bring in the wiring kit so they need to keep it longer until they can get one... They never call me and when I try to call them I can't get through for a few hours.... When I go in to pay and pick up my vehicle they didn't even have the ball and pin in stock that comes with the package..... The employee couldn't help me and seemed to lack care.
The service and equipment was top notch. We were charged an extra day but had it resolved with little issue. Customer service reps were very professional and pleasant to deal with. Thanks Langley U-haul, we will deal with you again for sure! <3
Completely useless. I came over from Vancouver island to bring a vehicle back over. Booked a car trailer a month in advance and just received a call on a Saturday stating that the closest car trailer is a 7 hour round trip away. I’m suppose to be catching a ferry tomorrow, with a car and trailer. Instead i will be going back empty. I will now have to come over at later date incurring further expenses. What is the point of accepting reservations when when you don’t even have the equipment available?!?! Would obviously give zero stars if that was an option. Again, completely useless.

All staff were nice - good service. My service rep at the end, Jake Bell-Hall, very kind and courteous gentleman. I would come back from twice as far for that service. Thanks.

Very proffesional and polite staff exept the time of return theres onky one guy who inspect all the vechicles clean them then comes back so u can pay that applies onky when u pay cash u fortunately i decided that day not to pay with plastic.
Extremely POOR customer service.. Alyssa and manager TINA PENDER are extremely unprofessional and rude. They expect you to commit to availability prior to knowing the rules. Better customer service at your local Mcdonald's by 16 year olds then these people. Pathetic
The way this location deal with my situation is by far the worst one, especially the manager Tina. Not professional at all. Yelled at customer and hung up the phone without notice. Worst service ever. Avoid dealing with this location.

worst experience ever.. rented a van and on return claimed extra expenses and to top it all off after we left claimed damages that were not done. My husband went back to see "supposed" damages and employees would not show him the damage or even acknowledge him. When he began to get upset he was simply told that they didn't have to speak with him at all. The manager tina is unbelievably rude and was not interested in helping at all. I would advise to stay away and never deal with these people. My review is not for uhual but for the people that work at this location, something has to be done.
Wonderful staff at Langley U-haul. My husband and I have always had a great experience here as we've moved twice and used their service. Big shout out to Alen for helping me bring boxes to my car. Very nice young man. I definitely recommend this location for your moving needs.
MICE!!!!! We have lost thousands of dollars in furniture as well as personal possessions that can not be replaced such as my kids Santa letters. Dead mice, live mice, baby mice, a nest, feces on everything! Uhaul claims isn't doing anything for us, despite all of the photos and damage we've shown them. I wish I could give a 0 star rating. We were in building E, unit E349. The entire row is infested, our direct neighbor moved out the same day we discovered our nitemare because of this as well as their direct neighbor who we met yesterday showed us his homemade trap which included a pile of dead mice. He made this trap because after multiple times of asking staff to do something they refused and he's too busy to deal with moving out at this time. This has been horrifying and I dont wish this experience on anybody. We paid 300/month for 6 months for Uhaul to store our possessions while we shopped for a home and this was the end result. Stay far away from this place!!

Brutal customer service no communication as to how they hold your money through a credit card. Call the next week to get some information was placed on hold for 20 minutes then had to explain all of my issues to another customer service representative. Do not recommend this place for U-Haul rentals I would recommend going to another nearest one.
I've rented a few trailers from uhaul and if I can help it this is where I'll eventually rent another. I dropped my 6x12 enclosed uhaul trailer at this location and they were friendly & efficient. I bet within 10min, trailer got parked, chit chatted about the rental and paperwork was in hand.
Horror show!!!! they ran the wiring for my hitch from the battery touching my engine zap strapped it to my gas line ran it to my brake lights when my tow package is right there ...E H hitch had to take all there work out and do it properly. . U haul is a joke will never give them business again. ..

Called a day ahead to reserve a van in the MORNING and was told I would receive confirmation call of where I need to pick up from in VANCOUVER. Next morning, did not receive a call, so I decided to check for myself. After an hour of being transferred around, turns out it was booked for the EVENING. I managed to get them to reserve another van, but had to travel 50kms(1 hour...$$$) to go get it, only to get there and be told they do not have a van ready for me. At this point, I'm about to loose my $1000 damage deposit, and have nothing to give my new landlord which means I may loose that place. On top of that, it not only inconvenienced me big time, but also inconvenienced both landlords, concierge (reserving an elevator I never got to use), the tenants moving in and the movers for those tenants. However, the guy who was helping me at the desk decided to give me someone else's van, potentially screwing them over(still very thankful for this). I have never had this bad of a service ever and do not plan on ever using U-Haul again. I would rather go with another option like Home Depot. I also recommend keeping your customers happy, especially on moving days when things are extremely stressful with such small windows of time. Maybe some back up vans/trucks should be an option?? Maybe even some type of contract with another rental company? If not, is there any point in having a reservation??
The day prior to my appointment for a hitch install they call me and tell me they can no longer install a hitch because the technician does not feel comfortable installing the hitch for my car. Thanks for letting me know as now I have to go camping without without my hitch and can no longer take our bikes. They didn't even bother providing any type of inconvenience fee which other Uhaul locations will do. Highly do not recommend using services at this location. Better off going to a Vancouver location for hitch installs.
Wow! The customer service I received at this location was absolutely fantastic! The person who served me was super friendly, very efficient and quite helpful. It was the best U-Haul experience I've ever had. They have a wide selection of moving products and lots on hand. I give this store ???????? and completely recommend choosing them for your moving needs.
I came in to get a hitch installed in my SUV. Their service was professional, friendly and prompt, from my initial phone enquiries to the actual installation. It only took an hour to install and it looks great. I will come back to do business from them again! Thanks!
Absolutely horrible. I've moved 5 times and rented trucks each time. By far, U-Haul was the worst company I've dealt with. I was charged for missing equipment that the representative forgot to record. When I go the the branch an extremely rude rep tells me "they were supposed to record it". Somehow it's my responsibility to make sure they do their job? One hour on hold and 3 conversations with different people. Finally a Manager calls me back, 3 days after they said they would. Removes the charges. 3 days after that, I start getting emails from U-Haul collections. Another hour on hold, tell my story to 2 more people, and they ASSURE me the charges have been removed. Brutal, won't be back. Stay away, there's lots of other truck rental companies
U-haul is hit and miss, Managers are usually good, equipment is hit and miss.
2 yrs ago they install my hitch. Now i need to replace it because of an accident. Everyone was so helpful and their customer service is top notch.. Thanks to Bob as well for helping me from start of the process till its all done.. ????????????

My mom recently downsized from a 3,000 sq ft home to a retirement living solution. During this process, we made several visits to this UHaul dealer for supplies and assistance. The staff there were brilliant in helping get the right tools and goods to help with packing up the house - boxes, rope, tape, bubblewrap, etc. They also helped in brainstorming on what type of box would be the most suitable for some of the very fragile treasured family items. They were instrumental in protecting them for transfer in Langley as well as to other locations in BC and Ont. Great job! Thank you so much for your help. The only downside I experienced was stocking issues and timeframes for re-stocking. But these factors are really outside of their control.
Its unfortunate that there isn't a 0 rating. We checked in at 4:50 last night to return a truck, closing time being 5:00pm. We were greeted by a bellowing Uhaul employee stating that "everyone" was told they don't process returns after 4:45. 1. We checked in at opening along with 2 other customers at the same time and none of us were told this detail. 2. Why state a closing time of 5:00 when the lights in the office are out at 4:45 3. The employee in question, Jake I think, has the customer service skill of that Sergeant in Full Metal Jacket. He's a bit of a psycho and needs help for his issues. Anyways, here we were, abandoned by Uhaul staff at closing time while they locked up, jumped in the vehicles and took off. This, at the end of a long. stressful and exhausting moving day. They knew this and couldn't care less. We ended up having to struggle to go online, set up an account and self process the billing. Hopefully, it worked out but believe me, empathy isn't a long chapter in the Uhaul training manual. Don't go here unless its your last alternative, or you enjoy being yelled at.

Had a worst experience ever with uhaul on this location. I had rented a 26ft truck and have some stuff it in for a day extra but i gave my credit card to them. One of the team memmber Named Tina called and said she is going to call the Police that thier truck is stolen. What the heck. Why do you want the credit card then???? It is not a good customer servise. She called me around 7 in the morning and said i have only half an hout if i wont make it to be there she is going to call the Police. Will never go there anytime to face her.......
I made multiple calls and emails communicating the fact that my car was electric and I wanted any kind of hitch that I could use for a bike rack. I did this because a simple google search on my end found that the ev version has a special hitch required. I went above and beyond with all information and communication , i took time off work only to be informed after vehicle drop off that they could not install because the car is electric. I will never do business with this company again.0 stars is more my review! And one last tidbit, Tina Pender is the manager and as soon as you show that your unhappy with the way they have treated you professionally she becomes a very unprofessional employee. Karma will eventually effect this company because of her. Karma is real.
Added a star for this location employees handling of the return situation described below. They called the next morning and fixed the return and the invoice over the phone - good customer service. The corporation still got to fix this online return process and/or make a phone/chat return option available. Renting the van is easy, 10 min. Returning is after hours took almost an hour and still not complete. You can ONLY use an app or website, which do not work properly. Help chat is pretty much useless. If you do not go through a cumbersome online return process they promise to charge you extra $20. No final receipt or anything. Will try to avoid using UHaul - not customer friendly service.

Worst experience I have ever had at a u-haul. Rented the truck, they never even bother to do a walk-around. Used the truck at maybe 40 percent of its storage capacity. Drove it less than 10 km. When I brought the truck back they were making up random damage and trying to get me to pay for damage I didn't do. Don't bother renting anything from this u-haul, the people that work here are unprofessional no life liars!!!

This place is unbelievable. I made a reservation 3 weeks in advance, only to find out the day prior that the only truck available is in Chilliwack! Sorry, what?!? I made the reservation for Langley. The lady said there's a disclaimer on the website advising of this. Who cares! I booked the truck 3 weeks in advance. They have just lost a customer. There are many other options available.

convenient location for boat and rv storage, also convenient for the local trash to break in and steal your stuff. In 1 year my boat was targeted twice, travel trailer was broken into and ransacked, and catalytic converters cut off a work van. staff won't do anything and just say they haven't noticed any break-ins...

The Good - Went into the store today to ask about a hitch and bike rack for my car. The two staff members were very nice & positive and provided some pricing info. They advised that I would save 10% if I was to do the ordering online. The Bad - Went on to the site to do the ordering. As I could not find where the 10% discount would be applied, I called the store and was informed that this was not true. I was transferred to three different people and none said they could help, but that I could post a review. Very disappointed, as I had been very pleased with the staff at the store and had been very interested in the hitch and bike rack. Now I will not be going back. Terrible customer service.

The manager is a complete nimrod. Her name is Tina. She has no idea what's what. This place is a complete joke fest. Use a different location is the best advice I could possibly give.
I rented a standard dual-axle trailer from this location in July for a move to Toronto. By the time I got to Revelstoke, I didn't like the feel of the trailer, so I went to a heavy duty mechanic to get them to look at it. It had a broken spring. Even though it had been "inspected" only a week before, the spring had been broken for months. The people at U-Haul’s emergency call centre were worse than useless, so I had the mechanic replace it. After several months of back-and-forth, U-Haul eventually agreed to pay for the installation of the spring and my hotel and meal bills. Except for one thing. I had to drive from Revelstoke to Kamloops return (over 400 km) to have a replacement spring made. U-Haul refuses to even compensate me for my gas. I had asked for standard mileage at the legal government-mandated level, then I reduced it to my gas only, still nothing. I saved U-Haul several hundred dollars, ad myself at least three days, by going to Kamloops to get the spring made, yet my letters to them go unanswered. Yes, they did pay a part of my expenses, but the cost hat I incurred travelling to Kamloops and back they will not even acknowledge to this date. The fact that, had I continued with the broken spring, it could have broken completely at some point, and that could have resulted in injury or even death, was also ignored. In fact a truthful and honest report to U-Haul resulted in the manager of this branch becoming somewhat irate. It was his responsibility, but he didn’t want to accept that. Don’t ever load one of these trailers for a trip without having it inspected by a mechanic. A real, professional mechanic, not a U-Haul staffer. U-Haul people will just tell you everything is OK, and they’ll show you the inspection tags that they put on the trailers themselves. An inspection by a reputable mechanic will save you time, money and the pain of wasting days. Better yet, find another place to rent from. But make sure you have any trailer inspected by a professional mechanic.
HORRIBLE!! Guys were great booking me actually very kind and friendly. I booked over a month in advance to avoid issues.... The woman (Good 'ol Tina, so rude) who works there phoned me tonight (my bookings tomorrow morning) to inform me they don't have the trailer we reserved. Infact, she said we should be 'grateful for the one they do have and don't worry we won't charge you a cancellation fee if you decide to cancel'. Seriously? Why am I finding this out the night before my move. My bf was pissed, as any person would be. Apparently she wasn't understanding of that and now has completely cancelled our booking. WOW thanks Uhaul! The professionalism is on point ???? 100% if you don't want to worry about getting what you have reserved do not go to this Uhaul. You really don't want to be in our predicament....

Called to make a reservation for a truck a longer period than normal. Was told that a supervisor or manager would call me back to confirm the booking. Got an email saying that my quote was ready and when I called in I was told that the truck was only reserved for one day. When talking with the person and trying to resolve they hung up on me. So never got a call from the Manager to figure out the booking and then when I called in I was told that they had only 1 day and was promptly hung up on and not to mention that the person on the phone was quite rude.
