Hired these guys same-day for a small (4 item move). The man we spoke to on the phone initially was very friendly, helpful, and prompt in letting us know if they would be able to complete our job. We called just before noon, and they were able to have 2 movers over at our place by 3:00 o'clock. The movers were friendly and very efficient. My only critique would be that they pulled up while smoking a cigarette in the cab of the truck. The smell of cigarettes was very noticeable in our new home for about a day after the move was completed. We are lucky to not have any allergies/asthma issues, but it was unpleasant to be around and did leave somewhat of an unprofessional taste in our mouths. Other than that, very quick and honest job.

I recently used 2 Burley men for my move from a 2 bedroom apartment to a townhouse. They sent the wrong size truck and had another move in the afternoon so they couldn't make a second trip. I had to make 3 extra trips in my pick-up truck after to finish moving all my belongings which took around 6 hours. The driver said the manager expressed his deepest apologies............. yeah ok.....thanks? I complained through their email claims department and they offered me 15% Discount on my next move with them. Thanks but I won't be needing it.

The young man walked away and didn’t even come back to help when the crew chief asked him. He seemed immature and was unresponsive to me which I found unprofessional. We recently moved for the first time in 30 years.we have never used movers and did not know what to expect. They called the night before to confirm and in the morning when they were on the way. It was an emotional stressful morning Jacob arrived first with Tony. They did a walk through with me and quickly made me feel confidant that my antiques would be treated with care.Jerome arrived shortly after and they started to load the truck. They had 14 stairs to go up and down . They barely stopped I had to remind them to hydrate and put food in there way so they had nutrition . They were going up the stairs two at a time to get more boxes. Communication between them and us flowed perfectly. It took 14 hours including drive time. I had to force them to eat some KFC before off loading . By the end of the day they had become like family. They were sensitive to the emotions if the day, professional 100 percent! They worked so hard giving 100 percent the entire day. They made us laugh and kept the stress to 0 I would recommend them in a heartbeat. This team of guys Jacob , Tony , and Jerome Burley Men you have some very remarkable young men working for you. They are keepers I work in a service industry and I know good staff is hard to find so hold on to them !

The movers arrived exactly on time, were professional and courteous, and went above and beyond to ensure that nothing was damaged. My furniture is all mid - century and extremely heavy, as well I have two pianos, all of which was moved without issue. As only half the truck was available for my move, two trips were required, and they deducted an hour from the bill to account for the extra time that wasn’t my fault. Excellent experience!

Liars and cheats. Took 11 days to move a 1 bedroom condo from BC to Alberta. Huge lack of communication the whole way through, damage to the floor during pick up, lies and vague eta's, and the icing on the cake, was quoted $2200 for the move, with no mention of any changes to that price, but then $3100 was demanded on delivery. I believe they call that extortion. Will check with police to see if that's correct. Save yourself time, money and stress - stay away from this company.

My experience with 2Burley Men was not good. They quoted me a rate and then a week later when I called to book they said they could no longer honour the rate they had quoted. They charged me $.06 more per lb. They then did not show up at the time that they said they would. We were up until 1:30 am waiting for the movers to empty our house. Then after waiting for a month to get some communication on when our stuff was going to arrive, we got a call when all of our stuff was on the ferry. I left work to meet them, and then they said they needed payment on the spot, and had not previously let me know the total. I went to the bank to withdraw the $8500, and then when I returned they said they could not unload because it was too late. The next day we had to take the day off to finally get our stuff. They acknowledged on the waybill that they had smashed our entertainment center, and told me to make a claim, When I filed the claim they said they do not cover glass or particle board items. All around I was really disappointed for the amount of money I had dropped.

I have used this company before, in Victoria, and they were fantastic. This move, in Vancouver, was a different story. The 2moverd showed up 15 minutes late, stinking of pot, and proceeded to move in slow motion. It took them 3 hours to load the very well-packed stuff from my 400 Sq ft apartment. The finale was them carrying my bed frame down the stairs from the 4th floor, I presume because they forgot to bring any tools to disassemble it. (The move was booked March 4 and took place on April 24.) They scratched the headboard in a few spots and dropped my coffee table and wrecked the edge of it. By the time they arrived at my new building, there was only 90 minutes left of my time with the elevator booked. They still moved in slow motion, and were giggling. I took the bed frame apart myself, and moved it into my apartment. I called the office twice, while waiting for them to show up at the new place, and I was told a supervisor would call me. Eventually, a supervisor (Phone ID said Phil Mathieson) called me, and said he'd talk to the driver. I asked what the point of that was, and asked him to send more movers to help. The supervisor (Phil, I presume) spoke to me as if I was being unreasonable. *If* the supervisor had tried to make things right - sent more help, helped himself, given me a discount, I would put this experience down to two bad apples. He did not offer any assistance, though, which suggests that the company doesn't care about doing work well. I paid for 5 hours of moving for what should have been a 3 hour job. This was appallingly bad customer service.

My fiancé and I used 2 Burley Men to move from Alberta to BC. I booked the move over a month in advance and Earl (the long haul coordinator) and I agreed on a 2-day window for pickup, which was to be a Monday or Tuesday. With this in mind, we booked cleaners to come for the Wednesday morning, and planned our move out inspection and travel from AB to BC accordingly. Despite calling the Friday before, we didn’t receive any communication about when specifically our pickup would occur until Monday around noon, when we were told it would be ‘Tuesday around suppertime’. While it was a bit annoying that it would be almost as late as possible on our 2nd day, it was fine. That’s where ‘fine’ ended and the headache began. We didn’t hear anything from our movers throughout the day on Tuesday, and finally had to reach out at 6PM (via text – the only method of communication we had) to ask when they would be coming. It was then that we were told that they wouldn’t be coming that night at all, it would be the following day. But despite texting back immediately and calling several times, we didn’t hear back from the mover with a timeframe for pickup until 1:15AM! Of course, this made it impossible to reschedule the cleaners, and completely threw off our travel plans too. What followed was a saga of poor – or more accurately, non-existent – communication that’s really too long to detail here. The short version is, we were told that we’d get a call with an updated delivery estimate once our items left Alberta, but we never did. The call we did get was at 8PM on Friday night saying delivery would happen the next morning – something we couldn’t accommodate due to our strata restrictions, but could have had we been properly informed. Again, had we been given the updated delivery estimate as promised, we could have accommodated this delivery, but we assumed that our stuff was still in Alberta so we hadn’t booked the elevator for the weekend. The worst part of this whole experience had to be when I had to speak with the owner, Scott Burley. Ladies – a tip: do your best to avoid talking to this man; he is rude and condescending and man-splains everything, without actually ever letting you tell your side of the story (even though he said he didn’t know what was going on, he wasn’t interested in hearing it). Get a male to call for you and avoid the misogyny. Or truly, whatever your gender, just don’t use this company and save yourself the stress.

Used for a move the other month. The two movers worked pretty hard and got the job done but the truck was pathetic. If I wasn't an able young person the ramp in the back would have never gone down or ever gone back in. Was delayed numerous times having to use my own tools to help speed the process along. It was bad and wasn't compensated properly for the delays. All I could think about is what would an older couple done. It was sad.

We used 2 Burley Men in May, when moving out of our place, and again in September when we moved into our new home. In both situations I found them to be on time, professional, helpful, and efficient. Their prices were great, and I felt they were fair. On the way to our new place they to lost, and ended up delayed by 20 minutes, but did not charge us for the extra time. They were able to help be creative to get a long 4 seat sofa out of our townhouse. We had no damage to our home or any of our possessions in either move. I would definitely use them again (though not hoping to move again soon!) and definitely recommend them to others.

Should be called "local move", not "removals"....right? I hired Burley for a local move. They were wonderful to deal with and a much better price than other quotes. The only complaint I have is that they repacked the truck 2 times and I was charged for that time. We did have a delay at the new location as well but not their fault. They did a fine job of moving my things and took care of fragile items including my giant, precious Aloe plant and also my Altar. A piece of my coffee table got broken and Rick felt so bad he wanted me to find a new one immediately so he could go buy it and deliver it to me. That was very nice of him but I declined as the table was still functional. I would hire them again in a heartbeat. Really great guys.

I spoke with Earl the long haul coordinator for 2 Burley Men. He was rude and unprofessional and should not have a customer facing position at any level. He quoted me for 850/1000 lbs, then magically changed it to 950/1000 lbs when I called back to book. Zero integrity, zero professionalism, and zero customer service skills. This company expanded too fast and hired unprofessional, low integrity people. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. Use a different long haul moving company with professional staff. I highly suggest you check out Yelp and see the recent reviews of this company. Very disturbing things have been posted from people that used them. Sad too, my close friend recommended them, but I can't work with unprofessional people.

The moving guys were great, took care of our belongings and did what they could to help us. The problem we had was that they quote you in weight, not volume so there was not enough room on the truck for our furniture. The furniture was picked up the following day then nobody knew where it was and took 2 1/2 weeks and multiple phone calls to be delivered. Head office were very attentive till something went wrong... then it was just pass the phone call / blame. No discount for the delay.. just offered to not re-charge us another $600 admin fee which we wouldn't have expected to be charged again anyway! All in all this really took away the joy of moving into our new home and I would recommend using a company that send someone out to evaluate your weight/volume ratio or '2 burley men' to add this to their offering to stop this happening in the future.

A disappoint experience. The pickup day was promised, nice team came to my place and did my move-out smoothly. However, the deliver to my new address was frustrated. Got my staff late, they move my things between trucks 3 times, when I received it got my sofa dirty and wet even thought I had it protected and packed. They loose my dog’s ramp and charged me extra 200.00 for services that they didn’t told me about when I contract their services. The total lack of transparency make me wondering if the weight charged was the real or was overcharged also. They work with contractors so good luck to get a good customer service. They have great marketing but the reality is totally diferente. Think twice and get moving companies!!!!!

We recently did a move from Harrison Hot Springs to Lynn Valley. Curtis, Louis and Jerome were professional, personable and friendly. They did an amazing job getting everything into the truck and answering our questions along the way. We had some really large items as well as some delicate items and they had to do some crazy maneuvers at the destination to get things in the house. It was a really long day for the guys yet they never complained and remained in good spirits the whole day. I would definitely recommend them and 2 Burley Men. We are using the company again in August and would love to get the same guys to do it. They were great!

We moved on October 28, 2020 from Coquitlam to Chilliwack. By far the worst moving experience we've ever had. They were an hour and a half late, didn't work half the time, were verbally abusive, completely incompetent (ie leaving the dolly in the living room, walking to the bedroom to pick up one box at a time, walking back to the living room, and stacking the box on the dolly) intentionally broke furniture, and then tried to charge us $500 more than what they estimated. I told the movers we wouldn't be paying the invoice until I spoke to management about the situation. Sent an email the next day outlining our experience in detail, only to be told, 'Sorry it was stressful, now pay your bill'. Cheryl, the manager, was absolutely miserable to deal with and completely unprofessional. I wrote a letter directly to Scott Burley, the owner of the company and got no response. They refused to work with me to resolve the problem and took me to the Civil Tribunal for the full amount. They lost and I finally ended up paying the original estimated amount. Avoid at all cost.

I contracted them to help my brother, who lives in another province & doesn't have a drivers' license, move from his townhouse into a 2br apartment. They had appointments available even though I only reached out a week before moving day (Oct 26th). The morning of the move they called to confirm the location; showed up on time & with all the necessary equipment; loaded all my brother's furniture etc onto the truck, drove it to the new location, and unloaded it; and were finished in a very satisfactory amount of time. I was really worried about not being able to help my brother move myself, and 2 Burley Men were the professional solution. My thanks to the three men on this job in Calgary, and to the dispatcher at head office in Langley!

I am so very grateful to hard-working Dakota Dawn Cross and Khaliffe from the Langley location of 2 Burley Men Moving company for the very professional and trouble-free move and transportation of my heavy, solid wood furniture that was shipped up here from Indonesia. I was so worried about the logistics and planning of the move as the items were extremely large and heavy when I met Dakota the day before with my cargo release document, but Dakota kindly eased my worried mind by reassuring me they would be able to handle the big job and get it down efficiently and punctually. And that they did! On moving day, they called and kept me informed of their ETA at the docks in Delta (right on time) and saved me a lot of money by handling the 650 kilograms of furniture just themselves, when this was a four man job back in Jakarta! They were enthusiastic and so happy to help without any comment of the enormously heavy items, which were expertly loaded up and brought into my home within the two hours they had estimated previously. I was so impressed with their wonderful work ethics and their pleasant can-do-anything attitude! What a great experience!! I highly recommend these great people!!

These guys don’t care about your stuff. After tipping the driver $100 I found out that They dented the elevator wall on move out day, dropped a box full of delicate cups and plates, and damaged my bike in transport. It cost me $150 for the elevator, $100 to fix the bike, at least $100 for the kitchen stuff. Stuff happens. Sometimes things break in transportation but the customer service was disgusting. After filing a complaint with customer service they refused to call me back for over a month, wasted my time and the only response I got was that the job was closed and my insurance doesn’t cover the damages. Save yourself a headache and hire a moving company with better customer service.

They did such an incredible job and the entire time they communicated with us what they were doing and why they were doing that way and even saying hey maybe you should take these lightbulbs and put them in a safe place because it’s not covered under the insurance and stuff like that. The entire time they were making sure that our stuff was safe but also moving as fast as possible. We even had a giant couch that was incredibly hard to move and we had to find all different ways to get this big couch into a tiny apartment. They did it without causing damage and I couldn’t be happier. 100% recommend this company.

I had ordered my movers from 2 Burley Men after I had called the Chilliwack number provided on your website. I had another moving company scheduled for the same day, but found the rate to be expensive. When I spoke with the gentlemen on the phone he had assured me the estimate for my local move would be 6-700 dollars which was considerably less than the previous company had estimated me. My move was scheduled to start at 9 am, the movers did not arrive until 11 am. They wore no masks or gloves in my household where I have a three year old son. I spent the time sitting outside while they packed my home into the truck. I had specially wrapped my furniture everything was labeled correctly specifically the fragile items. When they arrived at the new location after their half and hour break, they moved everything into the bedrooms where the fragile boxes were placed on the bottom of everything. The rooms were completely packed with the living room left free. They did not wear masks or gloves again in my household with my three year old son. 5 hours later I am given the bill, where I am all of a sudden informed that I am being charged for 2 hours of travel time in which I was under the impression that it was a "local move" as I called the Chilliwack number located on your website. When I had first scheduled the move there was no indication that I would be paying for any travel time. Why would I be ordering movers from another city to do a local move ? In the end I was paying over 1000 dollars. The gentlemen argued with me and continued to cut me off in conversation, he also argued with my sister who I was on the phone with. When I said I would like to pay, he refused any form of debit. It was only cash, Mastercard or Visa. This I was also not informed of at the time of booking. I ended up having to get over 1000 dollars delivered to me, at 5 pm from across town by my babysitter who I also had to pay for their extremely slow moving process. All in all I am completely disappointed. I'm a single mother with a limited income so obviously trying to save a few dollars. I would not recommend your company to anyone, and would suggest that you remove your Chilliwack local listing off your website or clearly state that your employees are dispatched from out of town. With that being said I also believe that you should be speaking seriously with your employees about Covid protocol, as your website states that you are a company which is following the proper procedures

Unfortunately, my experience was negative. I was given a quote that was very high but my understanding was that the final price would be based on the actual weight and actual time. In the end, they charged me a "fixed price" and told me how lucky I was that it came in 15 dollars under the quote (on a 2.5k bill). I made the effort to move things out of my house. That was a waste of time. But the worst thing was that the two guys misplaced the weighbridge paperwork and then ended up in a dispute with each other. One sat in the truck while the other attempted to unload the entire load alone. I stepped in to help, expecting that the second guy would assist. In the end, I had to do the whole thing (rather than watch the second guy struggle). I told them I have injuries - made no difference. Not impressed. I should have spent the time playing video games instead of trying to help. Oh and they also broke my favourite coffee cup. ???? Finally, Cheryl in customer service gets a special mention for a dismissive approach and for not returning my calls. I suggest you consider using the competition for your move.

If you are looking for the worst move ever, call this company! I wish I didn't have to even give them 1 star! As you can see in the picture below, they don't take any care with your possessions. They let us know 3 days before the move that they were coming 1 or 2 days early. (They had only given us a 2 day window instead of a specific day.) They arrived about 5 hours late. Didn't have enough supplies with them so things that should have been protected with moving blankets weren't. Upon arrival at the new home, they were about 7 hours late. Only brought some of our stuff because they didn't have the right size truck. This is with lots of notice from us for the date of delivery. Even the guys delivering said they didn't like the way the truck had been loaded. Almost every piece of furniture had some scrapes and damage. Even a hole through a mattress and a dresser. A PUNCTURE HOLE. Said they would bring the rest on Monday. This was a Friday. They didn't show up Monday. Finally arrived only about an hour late on Tuesday with the rest of our stuff. Boxes were torn apart, things were upside down. There was obviously no respect given to our stuff. Everything was also so so dirty! We sent pictures of much of the damage and explained how bad the move had gone. They made a claim and we got about $400 back (if I remember correctly) That covered about 1% of the damage. There was absolutely no recognition of how horribly bad the move was. Many of the boxes didn't get opened for a few months because my place wasn't ready. Upon opening those boxes (specifically kitchen stuff) there were 3 or 4 boxes that had so much stuff broken. I mean, some things beyond recognition. It was obvious that this was not regular moving damage. My thought is that they boxes were stacked up and got dropped or something to cause that level of damage. Not only was the stuff wrapped but surrounded by towels etc. and in 1 case even a duvet! DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!

When we called in to book our move they quoted us 3 movers and around 8hrs for a 2200sqft home. We were told that the total cost for an 8 hour move with tax would be around $1500. To help with cost we moved all the boxes and everything other than furniture in advance on our own so that all your movers had to move was our furniture. We didn't need anything reassembled either (which they promised would be done in the quote). Still the move took 8.25 hours (with the men taking a 45 min break for lunch and 20 min cleanup time in the truck after all the furniture was moved which we had to pay for) and there were charges for 1 hour of travel (which we weren't notified about at booking), charges for fuel, shrink wrap, packing tape etc After being quoted $1500 total for the move and then moving half the home ourselves we were astounded at the total of $1800. We called in to complain and were passed around until the woman finally supposed to deal with these matters CHERYL got back to us. She was incredibly rude and condescending saying that a quote means nothing and that they can charge whatever they need to after the move and we can't do anything about it. I HAVE NEVER IN MY LIFE EXPERIENCED WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE. DO NOT BOOK THIS COMPANY FOR YOUR MOVE. Oh and PS they showed up with a truck that broke down and had to be repaired on our street prior to moving our stuff. They were talking in front of us about how there's no way the truck will make it through the move and then still used it for our move.

Let us know when they where going through McNeill so we could be at the house in Port Hardy to let them unload. This moving company completely screwed me over 2 days before my long haul move from Vancouver to Calgary. I booked them a month and a half before my trip as i am organized and wanted to make sure i had everything planned and covered. Moving is stressful enough. I called to confirm with Scott (the owner) a week before my scheduled move and he then told me my driver would call 24hrs before arrival. I got a message from a driver 2 days before my scheduled pick up, stating that he would be my driver and would message 24hrs before arrival and if i had any questions, feel free to call him. On the day of pickup, i call the driver who messaged me and asked for a rough eta so i knew to have anything ready and prepared, so i could make it as easy as possible for the movers. He then told me he was still in the Okanagan and wouldn't be my driver now as he didn't have room. Told me then to contact Scott to find me another driver. I called Scott, who then told me my new driver was currently in Nanaimo and would be making his way to the ferries and then to me. Told me the driver would be calling me within the hour for the details. That was at 9am on sunday. 5:30pm rolls around and still no word. I then called Scott, who did not answer so I left a message. No return call. I tried calling back a few more times but it just went to voicemail and my texts wouldn't go through, as if i've been blocked. It's now the next day (monday) and still nothing. I've now had to hire someome else and because it is last minute, its costing close to $3000. So what would have been under $1000 is now costing me $3000. I don't know how someone who runs a moving company could do this to a customer. I don't have this extra money and have had to go get multiple payday loans that will take me forever to pay back. So thanks 2 Burley Men.

If I could give negative start I would do negative 5 the work trucks are always dirty the drivers are almost always stoned the employees half the time are hung over or drunk still they don't pay employees properly at all the do the absolute best to not cover damages whether it be we didn't pack it was our fault or it be some other dumb excuse trucks are unsafe on the road there are lots of mechanical issues with them and the owner only cares to make his pocket fuller he don't care about the company just his pay check

It was a real treat to use three burly men. I didn’t need any help moving, but I needed some muscle to do the final install on a Murphy bed. The queen size bed was far too heavy for myself and my two daughters so we had to look at alternative solutions and thank goodness for three burly men!! When they came they brought tools with them which I didn’t ask for but saved the day as we needed them. It was a difficult task and it was a pleasure working with these three strong gentlemen who kept a positive can-do attitude throughout. People always have more than they say they have, which interferes with schedules, and that was certainly true in my case. We had some challenges with the pickup date but the company made a special effort to accommodate my needs. The drivers / workers wrapped my furniture well and were respectful of my belongings. The moving company Two Burley Men were to arrive on moving day at 9 a.m. They had even called the previous afternoon to confirm that we were the first move of the day. They weren’t here by 9:45 so my wife phoned and was told that they just had to finish a move from the day before and they would be at hour place in an hour or two. At 12:00 there was still no sign of them so my wife called again. No answer. Eventually she got a text saying that the driver would call in an hour or so. We were told they were in Burnaby. At 2:30 with still no sign of them and no one willing to talk with us on the phone, I loaded my pickup truck and headed to our new home, leaving my wife to wait and direct the movers. Throughout the day the manager didn’t answer our calls and texted us wrong information (lies). The truck finally arrived to load our furniture after 4:00, more than seven hours late. The crew did not even know they had to come move us until they had finished the job they had been on since 7am in the morning, confirming that the manager was making up the stories as he went. The two young men were clearly untrained and inexperienced. They spent a lot of time evaluating which item to move next. It took four hours to load the truck which was mostly boxes and miscellaneous items as we had disposed of most of our furniture as our new condo came furnished. The biggest thing they had to move was our bed and a small chest freezer. They were told that our coffee table’s drawers were full and would need to be handled accordingly, and they moved it upside down! Its contents were falling out all over the place. My gun safe was brought into the new place upside down (its brand name is written on the door so you should be able to tell which way is up!). Boxes marked Do Not Crush in red letters were stacked on the bottom with heavy boxes on top. These guys didn’t seem to notice the word fragile as they certainly didn’t treat them that way. These two guys moved painfully slow. They finally arrived at our new Condo at 8:30, half an hour after we were allowed to move in because of noise regulations. Thank goodness the Council allowed us to move in as long as we were quiet. If it were not for our son and his friend coming to help, the truck would not have been unloaded in 1.5 hours (one of the movers sat in the cab for a long time). The condition of the back of the truck where our belonging were was horrible: a pile of moving blankets, other people’s broken furniture, and it was dirty. Two Burley Men failed on this move and we will be telling anyone who will listen what a poor job they did and how terrible the manager treated us.

If you need professional movers, this company is NOT the one for you. They showed up late, unorganized and after almost 2 hours of work, 1 of the men quit on the job and I was left to assist with the remaining work for over 6 hours. A second crew member was NOT brought to the scene to help with the move, and they didn't bring their own tools like they told us they would, so I had to unpack boxes to find my own to disassemble beds. They broke 2 bed frames (we are still missing pieces), an entryway table and a dresser. A "manager" showed up to our new house and we thought he would at the very least apologize and thank me for being able to help for so long. We expected to be heavily discounted, if not excused from the bill completely. The manager was aggressive, rude, and yelled at us in front of our 3 year old son. NOBODY FOLLOWED COVID PROTOCOLS in our house. Nobody wore a mask or hand sanitized. It states ON THEIR OWN WEBSITE that they follow the guidelines - DO NOT BE FOOLED. We have multiple scuffs and dents on our walls (this is a brand new home) and we sent an e-mail documenting the events and sent photos of the damages. They have informed us over the week that the best they can offer is $150 off of the bill, leaving us with nearly $800 to pay still. And to be fully transparent, they are crediting us $192 for the damages to our furniture and walls (but that does not cover the replacement of even 1 bed frame). We have NOT been contacted by any manager or even the owner to apologize for the behaviour of the "manager" who showed up to our house and for the lack of respect to our furniture and not following Covid guidelines. Please, please, please do not use this company and look at the Yelp reviews or the Better Business Bureau first - you will see honest reviews there. Save yourself the headache and frustration and book elsewhere.

I was not impressed by the fact that, despite providing two very specific documents (an Inventory of Items to be Moved and Written Directions on How to Find Our House) via email, some unintended items were removed from the suite and they got lost while travelling from the ferry terminal to our house (which is somewhat hard to find which is why I provided the direction sheet). Also, the marble top of the dresser was broken (into two pieces). The cost was reasonable and somewhat less than the initial estimate.

2 Burley Men I have used several times in Nanaimo. I find them responsive and timely. Usually my experience with them is very satisfactory. This past occasion, like so many other businesses I think they were struggling for employees which they cannot be blamed for. Overall, for an efficient and I would say fair price two burley men moving usually does a commendable job.

Stay away from this company! I hired 2 Burley Men Moving over a month ago, in September. They were to move me on the weekend of November 14. Then I received a call at work on November 9 asking if I would consider an early pickup. I agreed to November 13 as I work 12 hour days. Then I received a call on November 12 from one of the drivers telling me that I had arranged for pickup that day. I said no, I wouldn't be ready until the following day. Then I received a text telling me that the driver was available "today and only today. If you do not respond within 2 hours. Your stuff will have to be loaded on the next truck. Could be 5-10 business days. Sorry for the inconvenience." Thankfully I was able to find a reputable moving company that was able to move me on time.

2 Burley Men, Chris and Cory, helped my mom move from one retirement residence to another. They phoned ahead of time to let us know they were on their way. When they arrived they got right to work, and even though they had to bring everything from the third floor as well as dealing with the elderly going up and down in the same elevator, they were able to get the job done quickly. The unloading was alot easier and everything arrived in excellent condition. Thanks to Chris and Cory for doing such a great job!

Never used a moving company before, but these guys were quick, courteous, and efficient. Guy was super chill over the phone, guys showed up ahead of schedule, moved us out of our little apartment in just over an hour. Couldn't recommend them enough.

I am so grateful for this company. We first called to see on short notice (a few days) if they were free to move my daughter but they were booked up. We used them a year ago and were happy so thought we’d see. Had to book another company. Day of move their truck broke down and couldn’t move my daughter. STRESS. Called 2 Burley Men and asked for a miracle. They squeezed my daughter in and even showed up earlier than expected. They even moved a piece of furniture and put it in a truck of someone who purchased it as my daughter was trying to sell as much before the move. I am in a different province so it’s stressful when a parent isn’t there to help their child. I can’t thank you enough for making this day less stressful. Thanks for going the extra mile.

Would’ve given them a 5 if they were all like Taylor from Nanaimo, he was professional organized worked hard to pick up slack and genuinely cared... His “swampers” were a little slow but respected him and listened to his orders. They took a bit longer than expected; considering how much we prepped but overall satisfied with their services as a whole with our move. Have heard horror stories and happy to stay made out with minimal home and furniture damage.
