Great company. The guys were on time and very reliable. So professional and knowledgeable. Very careful with our stuff, everything was packed and wrapped properly. They disassembled and reassembled all furniture they touched. Excellent service and reasonable pricing. I recommend this guys to anyone who needs a worry free move. Moving process sometimes becomes very tedious when you have 6 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms and fully furnished drawing room. But “Metropolitan Movers Kitchener” made it very easy. And was done perfectly within time. They came around 8.00am in the morning and everything was done till 2.00pm. I was very happy with Kitchener moving company and the way they did.

These guys were great. This is a very valuable service with such trusted movers. Dealing with the office staff was also done very professionally. I should also add that the crew showed up exactly on time the day of the pack out. They worked very quickly and efficiently and came up with some very smart solutions for packing odd shaped pieces of furniture. They honestly made it seem easy. After details were worked on pricing the move was underway. My things were packed with so much care and they arrived in perfect condition. I was very impressed by their work and would highly recommend them.

Last time I moved with a reputed company but that experience was horrible..They didn't deliver what they were supposed to..So this time i was very frightened about the movement..This company was recommended by one of my neighbours who was moved by this company but my tension wasn't getting removed..And the day came when the team of this company arrived early at my house..Since then i kept feeling relaxed..They were very professional and sincere to their work..Delivered everything they promised..It really was a satisfying experience moving with them..

I guarantee this is the world worst moving company ever!!! I booked a moving reservation two months ahead. I called one week before my moving to confirm and called a day before to make sure the mover would be my place on time. I requested them to be my place at 10am Statuary morning. At 9:55, right before my moving hour, i received a phone call from this company that informed me they were not able to come today to do the moving since the truck was broken down. I asked them if they could have a backup plan or could rent a truck to finish the moving. However, they told they don't wanna waste my time and suggested me to go find another moving company as the best solution that they could provide to me. I had all my belongings packed. I have no way to stay the old place for another night. I booked other service at the same day afternoon in my new place. Since they ruined the whole schedule, all my plans have to change along with. They requested my credit card information when i booked the moving reservation, in case if i would cancel my reservation later on. But what now? How about I charge them $$$$$ for cancel my reservation right before my moving?!!!!!! Whatsoever, this is my experience, make smart decision before you make your reservation with this MetroPolitan movers company.

They give you a low estimate so that you hire them. They took twice as long to move us as they quoted us for. A move from a three bedroom house to a house of comparable size, 15 minutes away cost us over $2000 ($2700 to be real).... Our estimate was under $1000. They moved an upright freezer and removed the door to get it into our basement. They left the door off. That was over three weeks ago. We are still waiting for them to put the door back on. All we get is lip service. They have been stringing us along and obviously have no intention of making this right. Do not hire these people!!! You'll be sorry!!! Update: Dec 4th - After posting this review they were quick to contact us and drive out to our house. They have put the door back on the freezer!!! What a hassle.

I didn't expect the moving experience was so terrible. I booked the moving on 8: 00 am. no body show up at 8:00. I called the office and was told that they didn't arrange the truck for me due to system error. The guy in phone told me that they will arrange a truck and will come before 12:00. They finally arrive at 2:45 pm. I already packed everything and i have to wait for almost 7 hours! 3 men for 3 bedroom, no big furniture, my past experience was 4-5 hours. They took 8 hours. Also, the mover didn't took enough caution, they did not wear foot protector, that was a snowing day, my brand new hardwood floor was totally ruined! scratch, snow slash everywhere..... Finally, they are not professional piano mover, they couldn't move a standard upright piano. They have to sent another 3 guys for the piano (Not professional mover, just the owner's friend, don't have any protective wear, even has no gloves). . 6 guys in totally, they used pure labor, pushed the piano to upstairs. no move skills at all. I was so glad that there's nobody injured during the process. God bless! I still regret that I should ask them just put the piano in the garage.... They charged me almost $1,000 only for the piano. Piano was damaged in a corner, inside don't know....I never write such a negative review. I was very upset with this experience, and don't want anybody get upset as me. Avoid this company!!!

These guys are professionals; very polite, and friendly. We had an unforeseen delay, but they were patient and even humored me when I tried to help out, even though I'm guessing I probably just slowed them down. Everything was handled well, and even our our oldest, cheapest bookshelves survived. This was the smoothest move, and glad we went with this company. We'll definitely use them again in the future. Highly recommended!

I can not say enough good about Metropolitan Movers - specifically Brian and his crew. Booked them to move my law office over a long weekend and they were fabulous. Professional, punctual and ready for anything. They disassembled the whole office, moved it a few kilometres and put it back together exactly as we asked. No damage to anything, and Brian absolutely nailed the estimated labour cost. They offered to come back in the next day for any last minute adjustments and spent three more hours making everything perfect. Reconfigured desks, drilled holes for cables, assembled all the new furniture and were happy to do it. These guys know their stuff, and they are FAST. It wasn't free, of course, but amazing value. I wouldn't even bother calling anyone else when I need movers again.

We hired Brian and his team to move our entire office to our new location. I was very impressed with their expertise and speed in which they were able disassemble furniture, move 8 truckloads of furniture and files, reassemble everything at the new office and then spend an extra couple of hours helping us figure out where to put everything. They were patient, professional, friendly and so easy to work with. I would definitely recommend Metropolitan Movers Kitchener.

Showed up more than one hour late. These movers damaged our sofa moving it (it got covered in grease because it was not properly protected, and the movers were careless). The owner of the company made a deal with me that he would arrange to have someone come clean the couch at his cost. He even told me he would take $100 off the bill until I was satisfied with the cleaning. He has since been screening calls and has not returned any of my voicemails or emails. Disappointed is an understatement. I would not recommend this company if they were the last option to choose from. In addition to the above, several items were broken. One of the movers carried one lightweight item at a time from the second storey to the truck. It took us several hours longer than anticipated to pack and load the truck, leaving the buyer of our home to wait. Their service is shameful and the owner of the company is incredibly dishonest. Do not trust them with your move.

Do not use this company!! I booked my movers about a month in advance and used this company because the rating was good overall but I wish I would have read more of the other 1 star reviews to know what I was signing up for! Similar to many other people I was not scheduled in the system. It was the day of and I hadn't received a confirmation call so I decided to reach out and just make sure everything was in order. I was told by the first person I spoke to that I wasn't in the schedule at all, then someone else called me back to reschedule and told me "two trucks have broken down" which was obviously a lie because the previous person told me I wasn't in the schedule so I was unimpressed with the customer service at this point. They also still didn't have a confirmed time they could send people so I was just waiting around until they could find a crew and truck available. Eventually about 30 minuets later someone calls me back to say they can come at 6:00PM that day (my original time was 11AM). Then around 3:00PM someone calls me to say "we would like you to pay EXTRA so we can bring 3 people instead of 2 and get it done quicker, we don't want to be there so late". At this point I was livid because not only should you be sending a third guy for free, you should NEVER say that to a customer. Three guys showed up at 7:00 PM (8 hours late at this point) but one stayed in the truck because I refused to pay for three people. They were all very friendly and very hardworking. I do not think the movers were a 1 star, they were very polite and great customer service. They did however struggle to carry most items, I am sure they worked a long day and were dead tired however in order to ensure it got done in a timely manner and nobody got hurt I had to ask my family to come and help to get the remaining items out of the truck with them. Overall this was one of the worst customer experiences I have had in a LONG time. They have 0 interest in their customers at this company so BEWARE and use at your own risk. As a reference point of what I had booked: 2 movers for a small 2 bedroom condo. They had to move move 2 beds, 3 dressers, a couch and 2 side tables. I moved all the boxes and smaller items before hand so it would be quicker. Goodluck and instead just ask your friends to help and tell them you'll pay them, it will be a much better time I can almost promise you.

I would not recommend!! Dropped boxes numerous times, took smoke breaks every 5 minutes. Not very efficient! Dragged a small move into a whole day affair. Took advantage of me and my family and I will be telling everyone not to choose this company. Lack integrity.

Can't say enough good things about this team. The group if guys showed up on time, were very professional and worked tirelessly in the heat to get us moved. Had a last minute request to change times (arrive earlier) and they were more than accommodating! Would highly recommend. I'm sure I'll be a repeat customer in the future.

These are some of the best movers I've ever had the pleasure of hiring. We hired them to move my aunt and they took care of everything as if it were their own. Padded and wrapped everything to protect it and didn't damage a thing! 10/10 would recommend.

Review My recent experience with this company has been abysmal and if I would give a rating of zero I had provided all the details to the Metropolitan representative regarding how many bedrooms I have and the items I’ll be taking. I had explicitly stated that I had 3 bedrooms in the house and the representative stated that we will only be requiring 2 movers. I asked twice if that would suffice and they said yes. They also said that the truck they’ll send will fit our items (which I also provided details for) Come moving day, I found out that the company had subcontracted us to another company. They were highly unprofessional and the source of all the chaos. Let me list a few things that went wrong: 1. They brought an U-Haul truck that was too small to fit the items. After inquiring about the size of the truck, the man claimed they cannot get a bigger truck and to accommodate our items, they will have to do multiple rides. This means I have to pay more money for a situation that I wouldn’t have to if they brought the right size truck. The Metropolitan representative also stated “They will be leaving now if you are not willing to agree”. This was told to us within minutes of being faced with the situation. 2. We were provided 2 movers that were incompetent. They did not use the dolly to get the work done faster. One of the movers took smoke breaks every 20-30 minutes making it a slow day of moving. We had to employ the help of another mover company along with them to get the work done. 3. They stacked items improperly, resulting in furniture and appliance damage. They also chipped the wall in the house. 4. I had previously told the representative that we will need to move a 3 piece sofa set and that they will need to move it to an area upstairs. They said this would be arranged on the day of the moving. However, the movers refused to do that because they were not provided these details. 5. The movers misplaced the keys during the move. I had to send my friend along with one of the movers to grab a replacement key from the U-Haul centre. Yet, they made us pay for this period of time where they were not working. My husband and I have moved houses multiple times and have never had to encounter a situation like this. The moving company provided improper information to the subcontractors resulting in miscommunication. The extortion of desperate individuals, lack of empathy and complete unprofessionalism makes this experience so jarring. I hope this company takes measures to ensure that another individual will not be placed in the same situation my family was. I will never be approaching them again.

Booked movers for a 1 bedroom apartment moving 15 mins down the road. Given an estimate of 3-4 hours and it took 8.5 hours. No appliances, not alot of furniture (and it was modular so easy to move), and 50-60 boxes that were well packed and ready to go. They had a relatively large elevator for the move out. They were quite efficient when in the apartment, however the loading of the truck was a different story. The one time we went to check on them they were sitting in their truck having a smoke (maybe it was a one time thing??). While we weren't able to put an elevator on service for the move in, there were never any delays getting one. I have had moved the entire contents of a 4 bedroom, two storey house (with all appliances) that took less than 8 hours... I definitely do not recommend this company.
