I would highly recommend to use ShortLine Moving Solutions. I used them for two moves. Once for commercial and one for residential. On the first move for my commercial move it was performed by Ken, Kyle, and Sebastion.I would have to say that they were very professional and provided an excellent service with great care of my product. I had to make several moves this summer for myself and a family member, and it was a stressful time to get it all done. I am so glad that I worked with ShortLine for these moves because they were fantastic. I have had bad experiences with other moving companies in the past and was prepared for a difficult time but Shortline was great from first contact to the final move. The dispatch and coordination were friendly and responsive and the movers were efficient while still being careful. I would recommend them to any of my friends or family.

Horrible customer relations and committing to your move one guy had a neice in the building and claimed she had bed bug said he was going to get the truck closer to the door and left without and inspection even tho I had paper work from a certified specialist who came in to check for bed bugs cockroaches and any other pest required by the new building I was moving too

Even though I had underestimated the amount of stuff that had to be moved these movers were still able to get the job done within the time they had quoted. My apartment management company recently hired Shortline on my behalf and it was a pretty bad experience. The only positive thing is that they were pretty quick. They knocked the baseboard heater off the wall and didn’t tell me about it. They didn’t move everything they said they would, left a bunch of items in a closet that we had previously discussed would be moved without telling me that anything was left behind and I didn’t discovered it til I went to clean my unit so I had to move a closet full of stuff and clean my apartment in the time I had budgeted just to clean. They also lied to the management company saying they finished at 2:00pm even though they were finished at 12:45pm, I guess they wanted to overcharge. Also these kids swore like sailors and I could hear them criticizing things like saying my mattress was dirty and things like that. Oh and on top of that they were late to arrive. I can’t remember the name of the kids that came but they were really unprofessional, I can’t in good conscience recommend them to anyone else.

I just had the best moving experience with this company. What could have been a hellish experience was made great by their professionalism. First, I was moving out of a condo, a neighbor was moving the same day, and his movers showed up at the same time. He would not give us a turn with the service elevator and was rude to the movers. They remained professional and made due with half- loading the only other elevator making sure others in the building could still use it. They were friendly throughout. (And by the way finished a n hour before the other movers who had the service elevator. )At the other end it was a tight fit into a storage unit, like a jigsaw puzzle. I didn’t think everything would fit. They told me confidently - ma’am we can do this- and wasting no time they figured it out like a game of Tetris. Everything made it, and nothing broke. They were so nice and despite the problems, their answer to everything was don’t worry we can do it. It was the dream move. Thanks guys!

Moving is stressful! But rest assure Shortline will do everything possible to make it a bit easier. From the moment I requested an online quote I was contacted by Alex who has nothing but patient with me. He asked all the right questions to get me a quote, and when all said and done, he was basically right on! And when comparing to other companies, they were right there, not the cheapest, but if you read the companies reviews of those movers, you probably understand why. Customer service is Shortline`s bread and butter! I was contacted the night before to assure the crew would be on the way. Next morning right on time I received a call to say they were on the way. They showed up, made a plan of attack, and got right to it! Friendly, hard working, cooperative and informative when working with me about certain items. The process at the new house was just as efficient given how long the crew had been working they still were pleasant, and giving it their all! We had two minor damaged items, and if you think that every move in the world won`t have something, you are fooling yourself. It is how a company handles it, that makes Shortline that much better. Alex was quick and reasonable working with me on the two items, that eliminated the after move stress. The reviews are real! I had started requesting quotes from a few different moving companies as of January 2 for a move which was taking place the last week of January. I was surprised by how many companies didn't get back promptly (or at all) as well as how some companies gave quotes without having very much information about the move. As the days went by, I was starting to panic because I still hadn't found a moving company that I was comfortable choosing to move my elderly parents. Thankfully, as I continued to research and review different companies, I learned about ShortLine Moving Solutions on January 16. I gave them a call and spoke with Garth who took my preliminary information but explained that he was working on another file and asked if he could get back to me later that day. I was disappointed when I hadn't heard anything back from him by late afternoon - but that disappointment was turned around when, true to his word, he did get back to me in the evening with a professionally written letter and an easy-to-understand, well-presented quote. I called Garth the next day with a few questions that my parents had and was impressed by how personable he was on the phone. He explained everything quite well and made me feel at ease. The decision to use this company to move my parents was so easy to make! On moving day, I was a little anxious that the movers hadn't arrived at the anticipated time but it was a cold, snowy day so I assumed the driving conditions may not have been ideal. (I think they may just have gotten away later than planned.) Once we met our two movers, Gary and Martin, we were pleased with their professionalism and good attitudes/humour. They both worked very hard and were great at protecting my parents items from any damage. My parents have limited mobility and speech, but Gary and Martin were respectful of their limitations which was appreciated. In the end, the quote was only a few dollars out from the actual quote (albeit, it probably would have been more if I hadn't been able to have a disability company move their hospital-like beds which were in the quote). These two men deserved a bigger gratuity than was in my parents budget but even so, they accepted the gratuity that was given graciously. I highly recommend ShortLine Moving Solutions!

The 2 movers who came were friendly and efficient. One of the movers was more experienced than the other and did an excellent job of teaching the less experienced colleague. There was a clerical error and they were unaware they had to move a piano when they arrived even though the office had been informed of the piano. They accommodated us and moved the piano with no problem and no extra charge. Would highly recommend Shortline Movers, they were so lovely and did a great job.

Hired them for a home move including a piano. They went hours over the estimate as the workers were honestly the slowest movers I have ever met and they damaged my piano due to pure carelessness.They cracked one of the legs off because they didn't look how it was attached before wrenching it off. They offered to repair it but did a hack job, not even straightening the bent screw so there's a gap now where it meets the rest of the piano. The fill along the crack was also lumpy and poorly painted I could have done a nicer job with a hammer, some plasticine and super glue. They were friendly and tried to be helpful in all this but ultimately I would never trust them going anywhere near my possessions again.

They were a pleasure to work with!!! The movers arrived where they needed to be, they were pleasant, careful and gentle with my belongings. They didn't do things that were unnecessary like shrink wrapping everything and did take every precaution needed like wrapping when necessary. They were receptive of my assistance and were not offended when I gave extra care to some belongings or asked them to provide extra care to things that were more important to me. I am a non smoker and if they did smoke, i was NEVER aware of it, I so appreciated that. They worked well with each other, accepted the knowledge of their team members, and seemed to enjoy their work. I offered coffee and water which they gratefully accepted. The company's rate is competitive and worth every penny!!! The person I booked with was pleasant and accommodating. I booked about 3 weeks ahead of time and when i confirmed my reservation just before I moved everything was ready to go. I will be moving again this year and will use no one else. I recommend them very highly.

The hot tub was a little too big for their truck but they offered their kind, polite and strong manpower to help us put this hot tub on a flatbed that we rented. fast, very efficient, patient, and utter superheroes. they came first thing, huge truck, got right in and got to it all by hand. I felt right bad as some of the trunks and the coffin thou well packed and sealed were way heavier than intended, but these fellows handled it with brute awesomeness, and amazing sense of humor, considering they were unaware that they were delivering to a 2.5 storey walk up with no elevator. the only thing I would note would be the communication between the office, adjusters, and maybe had an extra one or two people as it shot a fair bit over budget, and we weren't properly informed about what could be moved and how. Regardless, those great humans deserve a bonus for their very kind and considerate handling of our less than graceful situation. I am sincerely sorry I dont have their names but I can update when I get the chance. over all highly recommended company will for sure hire again and again. cheers

ShortLine Moving Solutions Inc is a wonderful, reliable and efficient company to hire. Very reasonable rates when compared to other companies and a few bucks cheaper as well. They are very quick to respond to emails and able to solve any issues you may encounter along the way. I moved from out of town to Winnipeg on the coldest day on December 28, 2017. I was a mess and the men hired to help me that day were so awesome and able to handle me and my craziness. They worked quickly and were all around awesome guys. I also found them to be less expensive than many of the other places I’d called (I chose to have a 3 man crew due to the stairs in the house I was moving from and the amount of things needing to be disassembled and then reassembled) - and $5 mattress bags compared to everyone else’s $15! My husband stayed at the old house with them while they loaded up and texted me numerous times commenting on how fast and pleasant they were and how they were just disassembling on their own (after having a number of movers tell me “that won’t fit” especially with our narrow hallways and stairs it was great having ones that actually problem solved). They packed their truck almost full and came to unload and were all extremely friendly and pleasant - even when I’d change my mind about where to place different things. They worked extremely fast and reassembled everything very quickly (one assembled while the other two moved). It ended up being exactly in line with the quote I’d received. I would recommend them in a heartbeat - by far the best moving experience I’ve ever had.

Never would I hire this company again. The move this weekend was horrendous. The online quote I filled out was based on a house that was full. In the meantime, I had sold so much furniture and was glad the 26 foot truck Alex quoted me in needing would not be packed to the brim resulting in less time to load and unload. Wow, was I mistaken. The truck was so full, one of the movers received permission based on using his half ton to load the remainder of my deck and garage. They asked for an additional $50 up front and $50 upon arrival at the new house. As this was an out of town move, I instructed the driver of the half ton to follow me and my passenger (one of the other moving fellows had to come with me as the cab in the moving truck also held my belongings). We had no sooner turned around and when we realized he didn’t wait, and took off. Well, guess what? He did not arrive at the new house that day. Finally, I received notice they had located him and my plants, flowers etc., and that he would arrive the following day. He didn’t show until almost 9:00pm. My flowers were just about dead and my expensive tarps are AWOL. He wanted his $50 on top of that when he arrived! The quote was for $1300. Alex wanted $1640. On top of this, a number of pieces were broken and I ended up with property that belongs to someone else! Like I said in my email to you once we realized the tarps didn’t make the trip, it’s not over yet, Alex.

These guys are fantastic. We had Brad, Vince, and Steven move us from one rural town to another nearby town. We were in a 2-storey walkup, and own various pieces of difficult furniture, including a piano. These three literally ran back and forth from the truck to the parking lot (up and down those stairs!), packing up our entire apartment in record time. I couldn't believe how fast they were! The guys were friendly, helpful, and asked a few questions when needed, which was also appreciated. I found them respectful and efficient to work with. They even saved us money compared to our quote because they moved us so quickly. The cherry on top was that not a single item was broken on our move (except one coffee mug, which I dropped on our tile floor shortly after arriving, and I can hardly blame the moving company for that, can I?), which is unprecedented for me. I am a superintendent at a high-rise condo building where many seniors reside. Even though we have signs posted throughout the building, one of the movers refused to wear a face covering. I had mentioned to him a number of times that wearing a mask is mandatory. I ended up calling the company regarding the issue. I noticed that soon after, the individual wore his face covering but decided to show his rebellious side by blaring music on his cell phone. The company should think twice about hiring children.

I would give them 0 stars if that was an option. If you have a piano, don't use this company. I chose Shortline to move a piano because it got such great reviews and because the office staff was very professional. I am very sorry to say that I had a terrible experience with this company. The movers were three hours late even though when I booked I stressed that the person on the other end needed to be there on her lunch hour. When the movers arrived at my home, one mover said that he really needed to use my bathroom BAD! He was in there for about 10 minutes. I know that people need to use the washroom, but it seems to me that they could have stopped at a Tim Hortons. They dropped the piano off my back step. We heard a loud crash. When we went to see what had happened we found Joe climbing on top of the piano to get outside. Then they got it stuck in the doorway. You could see that they had it on an angle rather than bringing it straight in. They brought it downstairs. The back corner of the cabinet was damaged and when I pushed the fallboard back, the keys were jammed up in an arch over the keyboard. It told Joe that it wasn't like that when I bought it. He proceeded to punch the keys down with his fist. The knob on the fall board was at a angle as they had bend the screw. (I was lucky that my piano tuner was able to fix the cabinet and the screw.) Joe took my credit card info on a scrap of paper - so unprofessional and I am not sure how the security of my credit card is guaranteed. About 5 minutes after they left, one of the movers opened the back door and went downstairs. Apparently he had left his phone charging in my basement. He had unplugged my air cleaner to so he could plug his phone in. Again, I would have said yes, but he should have asked. When I informed Nancy at the office about the fall, and the damage, she said that I had told them that is was a console piano and that Joe said that it was full size. She said that I should have paid extra and they should have had an extra mover for a full sized piano. I sent her photos of the piano with a measuring tape to show her that I wasn't lying about the size. So the movers lied about what happened. Shortline did refund me the cost of the move. I was lucky that there was no internal damage to the piano from the drop as I would have been on the hook for having it fixed or having someone haul it away. The movers also damaged the bottom of my new screen door. I asked Shortline to have that fixed as well. Shortlline refused to cover the cost since I noticed it two weeks after the move. It is winter and so I really don't look at the inside of the screen door much as the inside door is closed. And there is nothing else that could have caused that damage. It would cost them $35 US plus shipping but the answer was no. Bottom line for me. Their office staff are very professional and personable. Their movers were terrible, unprofessional, clumsy, and they lie. I can't stress this enough...this was a terrible experience. I would avoid this company. There are other movers. Shortline is not worth the risk.

They had no problem manoeuvring the furniture through the house entrance doors. They laid floor mats out to protect the flooring. And this on a day when it was brutally cold out !! And the price was very fair !! GREAT JOB GUYS !!!

We had Joe and Gurdev deliver a refrigerator that we had ordered. They were awesome! We watched them unload and unbox our fridge and then they waited patiently while we gave it the first of two inspections. They ended up having to remove the fridge doors to get it into our house and they insisted on carrying them so that there was no concern with us inadvertently damaging them. After putting everything back together, before they left they waited again for us to once again look over everything to make sure we were happy! Super friendly guys and very professional.

I just wanted to write a short note to thank you and the movers who helped us when our mother had to move quite unexpectedly at month-end. On October 29, 2020 the movers arrived in the time-window we had requested. Upon arrival they contacted my sister who was waiting for them in our mother's apartment. Actually wanted to give a 3.5 star rating. Had a move from Charleswood to River Heights last week. Good points were that the company was punctual,the movers were well mannered and for the most part careful with our furniture.Negative points were that they had problems with the loading ramp and they had to take 1/2 hour to resolve the situation. I had to ask for the 1/2 hour credit for the time spent repairing the ramp. Also we noticed they somehow got the their hands dirty and were handing our light grey furniture. They left stains on some fabric,. I had to tell them to wash their hands. Overall experience was ok but some aspects were disappointing

I chose Shortline Moving based off the other raving reviews but unfortunately our experience was the exact opposite of the other positive reviews read here. The moving crew who worked with us were unprofessional in regards to how they moved our belongings and the time it took them. The worst part of the day was that my husbands motorcycle was damaged during the move because the movers did not secure it properly in the truck. I did inform the company in detail about the negative aspects of the day. As I expected, they were sorry to hear about our experience but there was no compensation for the cost of the move nor the damage to the motorcycle. EDIT: The "compensation" offered was a coupon for a free pizza. On the coupon it says "Any move over $400 gets you a FREE pizza from Tommy's Pizzeria"..

Read this Review before choosing ShortLine Moving Solutions! This weekend ShortLine Moving Solutions was in our condo complex moving items for a neighbour. For some reason the driver of the truck was about to park the truck perpendicular to the main road to not allow any traffic to flow in and out of the condo unit. I honked saying that there was a big enough spot to park the truck right beside the unit. The driver then had the nerve to swear at me. The person outside guiding the truck then said: “You wouldn’t be honking if it was your stuff we were moving”. After the driver realized he had to move the truck, he had the audacity to drive the vehicle right up to my front bumper so I couldn’t move. When the truck finally moved out of the way there were two cars behind me and five cars on the other side of the truck waiting to get into the complex and they didn't even start moving the stuff out of the truck yet. All I know is that your employees represent your company and if these are the type of people that this company hires, I would NEVER use them. They don’t have respect for your neighbours, and they don’t have the common sense to park in a spot that is not only big enough for the truck, but right beside the unit. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. You and your neighbours will be thankful.

I used ShortLine for a residential move within Winnipeg. I was hesitant to use a moving company as I have never used one before and it was hard to find a company that had good reviews. I'm glad I did tho. ShortLine arrived on time and moved very fast. The movers knew what they were doing - knew how to get things out without damaging anything and packed onto the truck. They covered anything that could be scratched in blankets too. The the job was done faster than what was quoted, and a fair price.

I can't say enough good things about these guys. They came to my rescue when another moving company (Popeyes) royally screwed me over. They saved me on short notice and were compassionate to my situation being a single mother. The other company decided to be very stingy that I "follow my list". They decided to not follow it themselves and left me to move many heavy items on my own. Shortline didn't do that, make me feel rushed or I had to help them move my own things. They took care of it.
