Worst Movers in the Okanagan. My brother-in-law was called the morning of their scheduled move that no one would be showing up. Don't be left stranded like he was. Lucky for him, he has many friends that came to his rescue. Moving can be stressful enough, don't be fooled by their name. Go with the "2 Men...."

Well where do I begin with this company we recently relocated and included AAA in our quoting they were about 750.00 cheaper then other moving companies and I now know why. I can sum up like this, we broke your dresser cause it was a pc of crap. That broke, that must have had a crack, is it ok to put garbage and cig butts on your lawn. A more unprofessional company I have not dealt with. This is the first time I have commented ever on google and just feel people need to know. Please pay the extra money and stay away from AAA moving.

Used this company a while ago. We only had about 4 hours to move a whole house and they showed up an hour late and stinking of marijuana. It was painful watching one guy in the truck slowly stacking boxes while only one guy was working. We has asked for 3 but they manager said we're fine with two. Needless to say we did not get moved out on time, but thankfully the new owner was understanding (after I gave him $250 for his troubles). So I would recommend this company if you're not in a hurry and don't have a lot of really valuable things. The price was pretty reasonable but it took so long that I think we would have paid less for more workers.

I SHOULD HAVE LISTENED TO THE OTHER REVIEWERS. SUMMARY: Why Pay More? is this company's misleading slogan. The costs they quote you and what they deliver on are VERY different. These people are predators that B AIT you with the promise of a great deal AND then SWITCH when you are under the crunch of a moving deadline. The AAA slogan is "why pay more". I'll try to outline why for you: 1) Destry's walk through is a scam. They will poorly pack the truck and then tell you that you need to pay for another one as well. I do not know if he is either a liar or incompetent. 2) This company does not have insurance. Yes, they say they do, but if you ask for a copy of it they will not provide it, and when they break your belongings THEY WILL NOT RETURN YOUR CALLS. 3) THEY STOLE FROM ME AND WILL NOT RETURN MY CALLS. 4) Note that they do not have an address for you to follow up with them. 5) They lied about the cost for travel time I am pretty sure it would have cost less money, time and frustration to deal with another company from the outset.

Too often people do NOT take the time to give credit when its due. I have had 2 amazing moving experiences with AAA Best Rates Moving. The movers I had were professional, efficient, friendly and went the extra mile. Both times, they showed up on time and went straight to work. They disassembled and reassembled all the furniture I needed help with, made sure they used shrink wrap when needed and were very careful with all my belongings. "BEWARE". DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE, they cheated, lied, items that were missing and never returned! (Stolen?). Broken antique dresser that they had failed to succure from falling over, as a result in a broken mirror that was promised by the son Destri too be repaired that never was! When I asked for a receipt, they tried to Bill me twice, the father Keith said, I had not paid so no receipt, when his son Destri was paid by me. Also my $ 7000.00 leather crouch was damaged by some oil they had inside their truck that they also said, they would get repaired, and never did! A lot of my furniture was scratched or dented. The son Destri told me to take the mirror into a glass company and have the glass company bill AAA. I could not find a company who was willing to do that without a company purchase order on or from AAA's letterhead! That I was never able to get from AAA. What does that tell you? I would never trust and or recommend these untrustworthy people! I did report them to the RCMP and have a file number on this report. His staff appeared to be hungover and one guy was constantly sniffing snot up his nose! U figure it out. (Under the influence of something) Save yourself the trouble and hire someone else, get real people references!

We have moved numerous times within Canada and internationally and by far this was the best moving company we have ever used!. We very much appreciated the excellent communications during the entire process. Our move was some what complicated as it included multiple pick ups and loading. It was further complicated by major traffic congestion which delayed the arrival of the truck by many hours. In spite of all these challenges, AAA went the extra mile and completed the move to our new location on the scheduled date. All of our household belongings arrived without a scratch. This company does not give you a "flat rate." They under-quoted us after seeing our house and charged us an extra $1500.00 for another truck. They broke a large piece of furniture and took off without allowing my husband & I to check out the trucks, resulting in $1280.00 worth of items that are now MISSING. (Two large cherry wood bookshelves, a compound bow in a bag worth $1000, and a bar-bell weight set to be exact.) I have filled out a complaint at the BBB and am going to the local CHBC news as well as Castanet. All I have asked this company for is that my son's very special compound bow be replaced, and I have gotten no response from the owner. I have left messages and written an email and no one will get back to me to deal with this. I would never use this company again and will not be referring any business their way. I will take this comment down when my son's compound bow is replaced by the company. Until then, I have lots of time on my hands to keep making complaints which will end up costing them business.

DO NOT USE THESE MOVERS!!!! DONT MAKE THE STUPID MISTAKE WE DID!!!! TERRIBLE!!! moved us in September of 2015....first thing the bald guy (which I'm pretty sure was the boss) asks my son in law if he has any marijuana.....right away....NOT EVEN 5 minutes into the job.....then they keep asking for the full payment before the job was completed....we gave them half upfront because they refused to start moving otherwise then harassed us the entire move to get the rest. They broke the leg on our expensive antique table, forgot 1/4 of the stuff then asked for more money above and beyond the original agreed upon price to go grab the stuff that THEY FORGOT TO GRAB!!! In the end we told them not to bother and finished the move on our own!!!!!! If I could give no stars I would!!! SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHE AND GO WITH A REPUTABLE COMPANY!!! WORST AND SHADIEST MOVING COMPANY IVE EVER USED!!!! IF I WANTED A STRESSFUL MOVE LIKE I RECEIVED I WOULD HAVE DONE IT MYSELF!!!!

Moving our mother from Kelowna to Red Deer was a big job as we scheduled 5 drop-offs in Alberta. Anesh responded quickly to our initial inquiry with a home visit to assess the load and meet us. He came out again to sign the agreement and share packing tips, and again on moving day to check on progress. He, like the 4 movers, was extremely polite. In Dec., 2017, we had AAA Best Rates Moving transfer the contents of 3 storage lockers - in 2 different locations - to our new home. They were 10 minutes late arriving (but called to advise us), and after that, we could not keep up to them. We were on an hourly contract, and they were so quick - and efficient - that we had trouble indicating which cartons or totes were to be loaded or stay behind. We were happy with their care and willingness to listen to us. So far - no evidence of damage - nor do we expect to find any. We would recommend them to friends and family, and will call them again if/when we move again.

Not a great moving experience. Hired two movers for a small 2 bedroom condo. Upon arrival, movers explained that for "insurance purposes" only one mover would be able to move stuff, although we were paying for two movers. Within 1 hour I walked down stairs to find mover sitting down and smoking, must have been exhausted waiting for other mover to get started. Although they do state on website that they have all necessary moving supplies, nothing was used. We had an extremely special rocking chair that was moved from Philippines to Calgary to Kelowna with no issues and when AAA moved it from Kelowna to Lake Country it was totally damaged. They did make record but never received a call back about it. After multiple times trying to call AAA, i finally got response that someone would come take a look and appraise damage. He did eventually come just to tell us they will send their very best wood guy to repair it. Needless to say, its been over a month and we still haven't got a visit let alone a call to follow up. Next stop, Better Business Bureau. In addition to the damage to the chair, we had countless damage to the walls in our old place and the worst part is, after damaging walls in our brand new home that we just finally got, movers response " I am sure its under warranty by the builder, ask them to take care of it". Extremely lazy and no care for your property. I am not sure if they were employees of AAA or contracted out by who knows where. Extremely disappointed with move and customer service. If you care about your stuff and your home, DO NOT BOOK WITH AAA. The only thing the movers were good at was killing time to ensure they could squeeze a 8 hour day in.

They were over an hour late to start. They sent more people than requested so per hour rate was higher but didn't tell me about the rate difference, they said it would save me money but it cost more than the last time I had a similar move with them with less people. Movers told me that someone may contact me about it because I was not happy to be charged more but no one ever contacted me.

I moved from Kelowna to Nanaimo. I had 6 quotes and met with most of the moving companies. Anesh was very professional and walked through my home and garage. I received the quote within 24 hrs. Anesh is the new owner of this company. Two men arrived on moving day. It was a big move for me as I had a lot of commercial goods plus 2 bedrooms and an office to move. The movers were incredible. They had stairs to contend with. They arrived at 9a.m. and were finished by 1:30. I was amazed and happy as I still had to get to Nanaimo crossing the mountains and catching a ferry. I got to leave at a great time. Next morning they arrived and had everything unloaded in 4 hours. Again having to deal with stairs, 3 bedrooms upstairs. They set up the beds and a heavy office desk. They worked so hard not stopping till it was all done. Both were curteous and such hard workers. Way to go Sean and Rob. Thank you for making a stressful move so easy. I highly recommend this company.

We had booked this company to do our local move from West Kelowna to Kelowna on July 31st. We were moving the contents of a 5 bedroom house so it was important that we had reliable service. At 8:50 am, 10 minutes prior to the expected arrival of the truck and 3 movers, we received a phone call from Keith that they couldn’t do the move because all of their employees had phoned in sick. When I asked if they could send truck the next morning for a partial load as we had until noon August 1st the owner said no. They couldn’t even find one person to assist us. Most stressful move I have ever experienced and worst decision to book this company.
