This place is fraudulent and the customer service is so poor that I advise anyone to stay clear of this company. Not only did they double charge me, they were 15 minutes late to serve me and their customer service hung up the phone when I requested that they handle the matters of fraud they were committing. I want to know why I couldn't rent a trailer for a whole a 24hrs like I have many time before from Peterborough location. Glen Dee the manager said no I won't rent it to you for no longer then 6 hrs. Because someone else Might need it because it's the end of the month. So I asked oh someone else rented it. He said no. I said then bud am a paying customer why can't I rent it. I've rented it before for like 3 days. What's going on. He hung up on me. So I called again next day. And got a lady who pick up phone. And told me she had no problem book that for me. I told her what happened she said yup that's our GM and he thinks he can pick and choose who gets trailers for how long and how this has happened before. And gave me his full name and said sorry for him. Like am in shock. So I got my girlfriend to call back and get the trailer. She got it no problem. I want to make a formal complaint about this person. I've heard stories about him from my neighbors but never thought it was true. I know now that me a Spanish man with a Spanish name can't get a trailer from Glen Dee GM at 900 Water St, Peterborough, ON K9H 3P3. But my white Girlfriend with a white name can. Am beyond mad and offended. I even tried to explain to him that I've rented this trailer for 3 days before. And he was like yea well not with me.. my face was in shock.

Reserved a van for overnight to go out of town to get a few things called to say I would be in to pick it up a bit late..the rude lady with accent told me I needed to pick it up in hr or I cant have it and I needed to have it back by 8pm..I told her I needed it to go to hamilton...previously told I needed to have it back by 7am the next day...she was extremely rude and told me 8pm is all I could have it until..anyone who has a brain knows friday traffic is hectic at any time and to go to hamilton and back takes at least 6-8 hrs on a good day is a miracle...I rent from these places alot..Maybe she needs a lesson in manners and when ever I rent trucks..contract is good for 24hrs as I requested..

Returned the truck. Got an email days later that my truck was never returned. Spoke with the recovery department who wanted pictures and detailed records of my return. Mind you, this was over Facebook messenger - they never picked up the phone after 1.5hrs on hold. I'm the end, I finally got in touch with the manager of this location and was told they took a look around, found the keys, and found the truck parked in the lot. It was there the whole time. Someone just forgot to put it in the system and when it came up missing they didn't bother to check their own parking lot.

Location is great with a river view and have parking facilities. Also experienced a great service from the employees working at this place ???? and most important store have great precautions for covid-19 by standing in a queue maintaining 6 feet distance between each person standing in a queue as well as in store premises. Moreover, the condition of the vehicle they provide is neat and clean with the gas available and while returning the vehicle the gas should be same as available at the time of pick up. While returning vehicle I paid 12.7 CAD for 7.8 Litre which was less when I have returned the vehicle. But at the end of the day, we see the service and facilities and that was great. So, this is all about my experience about the U-Haul. Next time definitely I will contact U-Haul when in need and suggest my friend also.

Do yourself a favor and go in to make your reservation. U Haul's online and or centralized booking is brutal. I booked a 20' van online and literally 1 minute later got a voicemail that they had exchanged for a 15' van and thank you very much. I called back and canceled but it was annoying. Next tried to call the store directly, which is apparently impossible. Gave up and went in on my lunch hour and had prompt service with a real person who was very helpful. Facility is very nice and clean and much bigger than it seems from the road. Minor issue in that there was no snow scraper in the truck so it was awkward to scrape the windshield with my health card! They were great, but honestly go into the store.

My local go to U-haul location for shipping and packaging materials. Also had my tow hitch installed at this location. For anyone looking for a hitch, I’d highly recommend giving them a call. Fast install service, done right and at a competitive price.

Outstanding customer service, went out of their way to make sure that I was looked after, tried to make my life a little easier the best way they knew how and on the business end with the other U-Haul location I had originally started the rental with. The Manager "Glen" (please do forgive me if I am wrong about your name but I don't think so) : ) Very accommodating, going as far as having a couple employees as well as himself move my items from the truck that was out of commision into the truck they were kindly providing me with in exchange. Expect to wait 30-60+ minutes per visit, so bring your own chair. I have been to this location about a dozen times - same thing every time. Very poorly staffed, lines of people, waiting, waiting, waiting. One person on a Saturday taking care of everything. That said, the staff they do have are excellent, so it's an ownership / management issue.

I rented a 2nd level storage unit for roughly one year. I was very impressed with the inside of the building, very bright and clean. I felt my items were safe and secure lots of cameras. Entry after hours is also available which is very helpful. The inside showroom is great as they have model units that you can see which is great so you can see exactly what you’re about to rent. The loading docks are not super easy as there is no ramp so you’re forced to handle your items twice. During the winter snow that falls off the roof makes it even harder to load or unload items (see. Attached image). Overall this is a great location to rent from here in Peterborough.

I wanted to rent a truck for two days from this location. I explained that I have a lot of furniture to move. Some convoluted policy from this location prevented them from renting to me for 2 consecutive days. When challenged on the policy - the service agent hung up on me. I am amazed you stay in business with that kind of attitude.

Always get great service at this location more often than not I deal with Jordan . He is always a pleasure to deal with and very accommodating. Upon reading some of the bad reviews it occurred to me that quite often people are dealing with a central reservation call center and not the actual store . I have always made sure to deal with the store directly and never had any service failures . Plus some people just need to get off the pipe and shut the F—k up .

Absolutely terrible. Will not rent again from that particular Uhaul location. Arrived promptly on time, pre booked and even pre checked in. Ended up waiting approx 45 mins before being helped. The entire process was painful. We had paid help waiting... Had to pay 4 guys 1 1/2 hours wages to stand around and wait for us to arrive.

My wife and I recently rented a storage unit here. Griffin made the experience beyond easy - it was absolutely wonderful! He was able to clearly explain costs, potential add ons and happily showed us a few different sized units. The facility itself is clean, well lit, climate controlled, and very secure. The 24hr access has been definitely worth it for us and getting to our lockers after hours couldn't be easier!

Manager, Glen was very pleasant on the phone and advised of availability. Cody was fabulous to deal with in person. Unfortunately there was no mention of stairs to access storage locker until after transaction completed. I received a full refund and apology from Cody. It would have been nice for the manager to mention the stairs when I called about availability, as our items that we want to store are very heavy.

Reserved a truck a month in advance at a location down the street. The night before they informed us that we had to pick it up at another location the next town over and we couldn't get it until 12 when the reservation was for 7:30. The truck was never inspected upon pickup and only had slightly above a quarter tank but was marked as half a tank and when we went to bring it back in Peterborough they told us there was nothing that could be done and that we had to put more gas in or pay a premium. While speaking to the manager he started off ok but quickly became rude and condescending. He also started mansplaining to my friend and when we mentioned he was being rude he said, "oh I haven't started getting rude yet". This half tank system you guys have is a joke and clearly a way to squeeze money at the end. I will never recommend this service to anyone. Would give 0 stars if it was possible.

Park in the back and walk 200 m and once inside you have to manoeuvre around various stacks of brand spanking new boxes you have to buy if you want to get out of there faster. One word.. Enterprise
