I just used ‘’ Metropolitan Movers Durham’’ for my house. I was very pleased with their services. Was very impressed with their professionalism. Every piece of furniture was wrapped and protected. Nothing was broken or scratched. Coming through all of that the move was done within just 6 hours what was even less estimated time. Hopefully I'm not moving again but if so I will call ‘’ Metropolitan Movers Durham’’ for sure!

Came across this company from a flyer during our moving process. Overall, our move experience with them was good. From the planning, the company was upfront with their fee structure and the 3 man crew showed up on time and had some common sense with assisting during the packing to help take things apart and asking questions as needed (e.g. fitness equipment, office desk). The team was careful with wrapping in plastic and blankets items as needed and took only a few short breaks during the day. At the new place they assisted with putting things exactly where we wanted them and again, assembled things back. Not that I hope/want to move again anytime soon, would recommend them.

NO hidden fees, NO hassle, they are very professional, punctual, and go the extra mile to ensure that your stuff is moved safely. We recently moved to a new house. I have nothing but great stuff to say about Metropolitan movers. These guys were extremely careful at making sure nothing was damaged in the move as well as the walls of our old and new house. These guys were machines and very rarely stopped moving. Called them and I got a call centre. I asked if she was an employee and understood moving requests and said we have movers... what city you calling from like it was an automated response. I need to speak with real people, that are part of the industry and can answer questions specific to the business. I hung up and won’t be calling back

They arrived early, loaded the truck in record time and had us all unpacked by 3:30 in the afternoon. Nothing damaged; nothing scratched. They laid our carpets and positioned our furniture in all the right places before they left. They even helped to get everything into our storage locker in a well-organized and tidy manner! 5 star service for sure!

The best thing about Metropolitan movers Oshawa is that they are quick. They hardly took one day to shift to my new place. Everything went fine. I called this company the other day to get set up for my move as I had family use them a few months back. Spoke to the guy for 5-10 minutes and he explained things, continued to tell me he would send me a text and get my information and he would be here the next day between 4-6 to give me the quote. Was perfect. Untill I never received anything and he never answer my call back so he was a no show. Wouldn’t recommend setting anything up as business clearly didn’t matter to him

The movers were fine. The packers were a nightmare!!! Precious pictures were broken, bleach & other cleaning supplies were packed with clothes & shoes! They were ruined! They didn’t have the right boxes. They ran out of boxes and left 1/2 the boxes open the night before moving day. So I had to use my moving time the following day for them to finish packing up. On packing day, they did not bring tape! So they used what I had and then spent 30 minutes running out to the store to get some. They were completely unprepared and unprofessional. I paid for this time when they were out shopping for tape. It also cost me extra time the next day as the movers had to pack during my moving time. Kitchen items were packed with clothes. Since they didn’t bring any closet boxes and ran out of boxes, all my clothes were shoved in with other items. Totally a mess! Black balsamic vinegar spilled all over my items. Everything was VERY poorly packed/rushed in paper. I tried to contact the manager multiple times via telephone and text. He never responded. If I could give this packing job a zero, I would. Do NOT use their packing service!!

I recently hired Metropolitan Movers Durham to move in a 400 pound piece of furniture into my house, and am very pleased with the result. I called and spoke with Vlad who quickly made arrangements for a crew of 3 men to come out with just a few days' notice. The crew came on time, were polite and professional, and made the job look easy. I was impressed with their teamwork. If I end up moving in the future, I'll call them again. Thanks, guys!

This company has a customer service agent named Edward who has a distorted headset and cannot take accurate details. They also subcontract to rude people...I had a move confirmed and the movers came and claimed it was a 3 person move...I ended up being left without movers as they walked off the site...leaving me with 4 hours to get a truck, pack all my items solo and get out of the home.......I paid the price of trusting this company...don't get yourself in this situation...go elsewhere I tried to resolve the issue amicably with them, and again was told to hit the road....case filed with the Better Business Bureau ADDED RESPONSE TO YOUR NOTE BELOW ->. COINCIDENTLY I HAD EDWARD YET AGAIN ON THE LINE AND TOLD ME YOU CAN'T DO ANYTHING...I ADVISE YOU TO HAVE YOUR SENIOR MANAGER CALL ME DIRECTLY SHOULD YOU WISH TO COME TO RESOLUTION. THE AMOUNT OF ANXIETY PLACED ON ME AND MY FAMILY ON WHAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN A HAPPY DAY, IS THE WORST EXPERIENCE AND DO NOT WISH FOR ANY OTHERS TO SUFFER THE SAME. ORDER # 170611

WARNING!! Do not use this company!! Here's my experience... They charge 99$/hr, 120$ for their truck including gas mileage and insurance. On November 20th I hired this company to assist me and my wife on our move as were in our early 70s and are not able to do it ourselves and didn't have much help. They had damaged my TV during the move and said they would deal with this through their insurance as we discussed prior to the move. Big joke; their insurance covers 60¢ a pound.. They informed me my 60 inch Samsung 4k smart TV was worth only $27 (paid over $800 only a year ago) though said they were doing ME a favor and would give me 100$ out of good faith. That is what they considered an "amicable solution". Remind you, it took weeks of emails and phone calls until they finally responded which was customer service, NOT a manager after I requested to speak to one multiple times. That doesn't seem very amicable to me. I would advise anyone and everyone to NOT use this company as they do not care about you or your belongings. I am very unimpressed as to how unprofessional this company is.. If I could give no stars I would have.

I used these guys to move into my condo and I have nothing but good things to say about them. They showed up on time as agreed. They loaded and unloaded my boxes and furniture like pros. They were fast, and none of my stuff got damaged. The two young guys who came were pleasant, friendly and professional. They were available on short notice, and their price was extremely competitive. These guys saved me on the day of the move. The company I hired didn't show and I had to vacate, thank god for Metropolitan Movers. They showed up by 1pm and moved my 3 bedroom house that same day. They worked very hard and did a great job. A reliable and honest company will call only them for moving from now on.
