SafeWay Moving was hired by me to move from Rosslyn to Cromdale within Edmonton. Considering I have large family of 6 persons, me and my wife were terrified of the move. But the moment I contacted SafeWay, I knew the move was in the right hands. These guys were courteous and friendly from the start. And they were awesomely professional. All the details of the move were planned out in detail. Everything including the size of the boxes, trucks, estimated time of move and time of delivery were right on spot. The children helped with the move since they were excited. And these guys were not interrupted. Rather they told them all a lot about moving places like how to pack small things, boxes etc. It was so nice of them to not be bothered by little children and actually teach them. So good!! But overall, the entire work was done by their team in a highly professional way. Our move went smooth and without any hiccups. We were in our new home within a day and with nothing broken during transportation. All the things were transported with utmost care. The gentleman braved the move in a tough weather and totally made my day. Thanks to you guys, I am in my new home with little fuss. I will always recommend you in my friend and professional circle.

Half hour late, dinged walls in both homes, spent an hour ripping apart a treadmill, was unable to transport it and it's left in my basement torn apart. After all that, they still charged me for the time they were late and the time they tinkered with my treadmill. Sorry, but if you couldn't figure it out, you shouldn't charge for it.

Website says they're open at 8am, but when I called at 9:30am & again at 11am the same guy kept saying he's not "at the office" & apparently there's only 1 guy taking appointments. I asked him why it's taking so long for him to help me & he gave me the worst attitude, telling me that I "don't understand anything" & "should let my husband deal with these things". Extremely unprofessional at every chance, this is the worst experience I've ever had with a moving company

Moving day walls were damaged. On arrival to ont. Driver wanted payment up front prior to unloading. After unloading truck driver told me the rest of my furniture will arrive in 7 to 10 days. No one had told us that it wasn't all on same load. We had a lot of broken and damaged items. I spoke to the manager but nothing is being done. It was the worst experience of our lives.

I knew that my moving would be difficult because our door entries are narrow and most of the furniture should be carried out through the balcony. Plus this crazy winter (nobody could guarantee a good weather on that day, right?). The night before moving was too long for me. However, when this guys came they instilled confidence and belief that everything will be fine. Finally everything ended up very good. It took a little bit longer because of weather, but who cares! The most important is that is done properly, without damages and extra charges.

Having had poor experiences with local movers in the past, I made sure to carefully read reviews before booking with any company this time around. Safeway stood out immediately from the positive feedback found all around the web, and I soon found out why when I selected them to help move my belongings from a one bedroom condo into a three-bedroom townhouse. From the first phone call, I knew I was in good hands; the gentleman who answered the phone asked all of the right questions about where I was moving from and to, including things I hadn't even thought of. When the day of the move came, my decision was immediately reinforced when the crew arrived exactly at the time promised. Despite some challenging conditions- including a broken elevator in the condo building I was moving out of, as well as a less-than-ideal parking situation at my new home- Safeway completed my move in just under 2 hours. There were no surprise fees, and the start/end time recorded on my invoice was bang-on to my own calculations- a rarity for any in-home service provider. In addition, the three movers who handled my move were unerringly honest, hard-working and courteous. Not a thing was damaged- from my furniture to the walls- and the movers even went so far as to use a red rug on the floors and stairs. They also applied "feet" to my heavier furniture so as not to scrape the hardwood when placing it. Safeway was certainly well worth the money, and as I promised the crew following the move, I'll certainly be using them again the next time I need such a service. From their accuracy to their honesty to their speed, no one else in Edmonton can compare.
