I called 13 movers in 2 days leading into our move. All quoted me about $2000+ to move our three bedroom town home 35km. Tarek came to the house, looked at what we had, himself, and gave us an amazing quote of nearly half what others were asking. He showed up a few days later with his crew and they got us moved out and in by 1pm. He packed the truck himself to assure we had no broken items and provided an amazing experience. I have recommended him to 3 more friends since we moved. When we have to move again, he will be the only call we make.

This is the second time I've called these guys up to help me move. The get the job done good and quick. No messing around. They shrink wrap all your furniture so it stays safe. They also use blankets for larger delicate items to protect it. The put down runners in the new place to protect floors and carpets when moving.. and to top it all of they're super friendly and professional. I recommend these guys to everyone!!

we engaged Tarek and his team for our short move across town, the move was a complete success, no issues at all and the little time it took was surprising to us. They started on time, we left our old place and 3 hours later we received a call saying thet were on there way, 3 1/2 more hours and we were done, keep in mind this was a condo move with elevators on both ends with no issues with either building, thanks again guys.

Tarek and the boys did an amazing job! They worked 9 hours straight and packed everything up safely. They had all the proper equipment to pack up and move the furniture and house hold items. Over the past 3 years, I have moved 6 times and each successive move was more unpleasant and stressful than the last. My most recent move looked like it was going to be the worst of all since I was moving internationally. I initially went with 1Pro Moving because their price was competitive. Additionally, Tarek, the owner sounded like an ethical person who didn’t sound like he was trying gouge or upswell me. In spite this, having had so many unpleasant prior experiences, I also braced for the worst. All I can say is, by the end of the day that my items showed up at my house, I was not only pleased, but I felt a sense of assurance and calm I’d never experienced during or post any other move in memory. Thank you Tarek and the rest of the gracious gentlemen who moved my belongings for doing a great job, going above and beyond and giving me the experience of a hassle-free move. If I move again, you definitely have a return customer here! 8/2- Sadly, I’ve had to revise this review since my move. Much to my disappointment, a very expensive loudspeaker was broken in the move. I’d previously thought the damage was minor, however, I’ve discovered it’s pretty severe. This is partly on me for having not examined the damage more closely, but I’m compelled to revise my review accordingly. Tarek- hi, I hope you're well. I regret having to change my initial review from 5- 2 stars because in every other way, I felt you moved my stuff really well. However, the item in question was something I watched you personally hand carry from off the truck. When you picked it up, you grabbed it by the horn and my wife and I both heard a loud crack as the horn ripped off the base of the speaker. We pointed this out to you and you and I both examined it. You felt very strongly that nothing had been damaged and for whatever reason, I agreed, believing that I could address any problem that might have occurred. I also didn't give it the kind of attention I should have and months later, when I finally did, I realized that it had actually been broken, certainly beyond what I can fix. This is why I revised my initial review and as you can see, the damage had nothing to do with the shippers from Colorado. Additionally, I helped load the truck when it left and those speakers were packed very carefully, hence, it's impossible that the damage could have been sustained in any other way.

I have moved many times in my life. Nearly 60 years old, I can no longer lift or help much. The movers I had went beyond there job and went that extra mile. I wasn't quite finished packing when they arrived and they helped me with that. They even took out all my garbage to the bin!!! Talk about the very BEST in the business! Terrible and unprofessional. Tarek has no sense of accountability and wastes peoples time. Would not recommend to anyone ever! Scheduled a pickup twice with him and he pulled a no show without any phone call or text. I don't know why furniture companies would refer him to anyone... STAY AWAY!!! PS: his excuse for not showing was that he hurt his hand and got into a car accident but still couldn't pick up the phone and make a phone call.... Sorry excuse for a business.

We had a couple of quotes from larger companies that were much higher, but I chose 1Pro based on the positive reviews and good communication. Tarek was in touch with us in the days prior to the move and the team arrived right on time the day of. He, Brandon and Dylan were personable, efficient, and professional. They even made it work to head over to the Island the same day they loaded up the truck instead of making the trip over the next day. Our belongings were going into a storage locker in Victoria, where the team unloaded, locked up, and sent us photos after they were done. Overall, I highly recommend 1Pros moving services. 1Pro Moving and Shipping Company are Better than the Best. This is my fourth time moving since moving back to Canada in 2010. So I know how long and how much and what to expect. Tarek and his team are absolutely incredible. My wife told me she booked a moving company and the owner is so nice. I looked at reviews and only read positive comments. Taret and his team were extremely thorough. They actually care. Each piece of furniture and electronic device was meticulously wrapped. They take their time and are so cautious with everything. At end he helped us take 14’ trampoline without disassembling and put on back of 5 ton truck. He saved us hundreds of dollars and hours of our time. They are really amazing people. Kind hearted and open hearted. One thing that I noticed was they work smart not hard. They are more of a logistics company than moving company. Better than the Best!!! Arranged a move ~6 weeks early based on exceptional google reviews and legit website. He offered a flat fee that was competitive with other quotes based on my email that detailed specifics of the move. He called the day before the move to confirm items and move in location and then called back and aggressively told me I had misled him and hadn't told tell him about the stairs (I had) and what was included in the move (I had). He told me a new, hourly rate, and that he would be happy to cancel if I didn't like it (Sunday afternoon the day before the move- we felt completely powerless and agreed to his new rate). 45 minutes into the move the movers claimed to be a different company (VBC moving) and they would be charging a higher rate. They moved as few items per elevator ride (4-6 boxes avg) and were extremely aggressive with me when I informed them the elevator was only good for 3 hours and told me if I tried to help or speed it along they would unload the truck and leave. The final cost was $500 more, plus a brand new $175 end table that disappeared in the move This experienced has inspired me to write my first ever google review, and I have submitted a complaint along with supporting documentation to the better business bureau. I have also re-posted this review as Terek's response included my personal contact information the first time- Terek, I am happy for you to respond, but please keep my personal contact information private.

They are exceptional; completely professional; punctual and worked with great care to wrap furniture etc. as needed and put it in place upon arrival, even putting our Ikea bed back together (and that's never fun!). Amazingly they also moved our piano, which was a feat of extra human strength given it was in the basement and then needed to be pushed up an incredibly steep driveway! Tarek and his team just kept going when it seemed impossible. He is a man of great character, integrity and honesty -- I would never hire anyone else but Terrance and his team and recommend them highly!!

Tarek and his crew were able to carefully move and professionally stack and fit our boxes of household items and furniture into a temporary storage (my sister in law's garage). On the morning of our move and just before Tarek and crew came, I went and rented a public storage facility as I was stressed out not knowing if our stuff (3800 sq ft home) would fit in a 2 car garage (what would I do if our stuff don't fit?). However, when Tarek and crew came and saw what we have, he assured me that he can make it fit and in fact he did - ended up using only 2/3 of the garage. I ended up canceling the storage and saved 400 dollars. I highly recommend 1Pro Moving.

We booked these movers 1 month in advance. The day before our move (Sunday afternoon) they changed the quote, we’re rude on the phone, and handed our move off to a different company without our knowing. On moving day a different company showed up at our door and again charged a different rate (this second company didn’t even have a website). The absolute worst! Avoid them as much as possible. These reviews can't be real. He was really friendly at first and then he turned into an overwhelmed grump by the end of it. Blaming everyone but himself. They broke so much of our stuff and patched it up hoping we would not notice. They damaged property on both ends that created extra work for me. Tarek was extremely rude and condescending. He charged us way over quote and informed that it was our fault when he is the one who didn't bother coming to get a proper quote. I was really honest with him about how much stuff we had. When I explained that he was charging us almost double of the quote he got angry and then threw an temper tantrum. One of the movers looked like he was going to drop dead of exhaustion. My husband did the majority of the moving and it still ran them over time and they were rushing to get to their next job and cutting major corners with us. It took me almost a month to collect money owed from damages. Super unprofessional. The worst.

Our big move came as we vacated our Yaletown condo for our new home in Victoria. Unlike the other four moving companies we originally canvased, Tarak from 1Pro came in for an on-site inspection and gave us an excellent rate in the time frame we requested. With the ferry trip included it was to be a two-day operation. On moving day 1Pro came in with a team of 3 movers and carefully wrapped protective coverings on our valuables (including a 300 year old grandfather clock) and moved everything without incident. The next day they arrived on Vancouver Island and delivered our furniture and boxes to our new home without any issues or damage. This same care and attention to detail was applied two weeks later when we made a smaller, shorter move of some of our furniture to a property in Vancouver. 1Pro Moving and Shipping certainly delivered the goods (so to speak) on time and on budget. They were also really friendly and we ended up chatting away with them for the entire move. We were not fully packed before they arrived so Tarek and his team jumped in and helped us finish up. I called this company to get a rough idea of how much it would cost to move. I spoke to a man by the name of Tarek. He asked what day I wanted, and I told him Oct 7, 2017. He informed me that they were fully booked, but could easily do the next day. He spent over 5 minutes explaining to me that I can just leave my cats in the empty new place and put the fish in the sink. That isn't happening. I told him thanks again, but I am going with the other company. This was his response to me "That's weird. While I was busy trying arrange time for your move and send a confirmation and omoany background as you requested, you were busy booking with some other company. !!!!! What was the point of wasting my time Christene. Any way. .good luck with the move " This is completely unprofessional and a horrible way to interact with customers. I do not recommend even calling them. This was 4 weeks ago. I heard him on the phone and he seemed nice but I found out he showed up to my mom's for a job today, took one look around the house and turned around and left without saying a single word?? Incredibly professional, energetic and friendly group of people. Furniture and electronics were thickly wrapped with safe care so nothing was scratched, broken or damaged at all on the trip. They were also very thoughtful with floors and carpet as they moved things in and out, placing some floor protection in their path. Finished things efficiently and super quick.
