Discount movers came to separate days for us. They came first to pack. Then the second day they moved us. All people working for them were very friendly and helpful. But the two that I was most impressed with were Easy and Florence. But they were amazing and did the Lion's Share of the work.

WestEnd Community Food Bank

We hired Halifax Discount Movers twice to move appliances. The first time they arrived promptly at the agreed upon time. The second time they were running a bit late but let me know an hour or so in advance and then called when they were en route. The movers were excellent to deal with, very pleasant and very efficient. Great customer service and excellent value for the cost! I would highly recommend them.

I used Discount Movers to move my Mother. I do not live in Nova Scotia so it was a big matter of trust to have a company move her, and they made me feel so at ease, and took great care of my Mother! The move was not local, and finding a reasonable price was challenging, until I called Discount. Not only do they have a very reasonable price compared to other companies in Halifax, but they actually came in under their estimate. They also assembled my mother's bed for her at her new place. I highly recommend this company - very communicative and fair.

This company is NOT a registered company and therefore does NOT have a HST # Do not use an unregistered moving company. YES, this is the Halifax/Hammonds Plains location. Look for yourself by googling joint stocks Nova Scotia database. Be cautious when considering hiring these fly by night companies.
