One of the better liquor stores in Halifax. Good selection of beer and wine. Service is friendly and helpful. Best feature is the ability to fill growlers with local beer not normally available (eg Big Spruce)

Staff are generally very knowledgeable, and are more than willing to help you find what you need. Prices are good on products that aren't obtainable at the NSLC, and the selection is reasonable, ranging from average to high end. Product recommendation is sometimes off, as I've purchased products that have been highly recommended by certain staff that have turned out to be less than acceptable. Those are few and far between, I would highly recommend coming here for your fine wine purchases.

Great selection of wine, liqueur, beer, and spirits that you don't regularly find at the NSLC. They recently did a renovation to increase floor space and has improved the experience as well. Definitely my first choice for alcohol in Halifax!

The best place to buy wine in Halifax by far. Very knowledgeable staff that's also approachable and welcoming regardless of how much you know (or spend) on wine. Their wine tastings every other Fridays are a great place to enjoy and learn about wine. Wonderful place for the connoisseur and new wine drinker alike.

Terrible; Online order 3 days ago and still nothing; cant even track via number. 3 DAYS (and counting) for an order in HRM! Ridiculous! Called and was told online processing would reach out in a few minutes; that was yesterday...NEVER AGAIN! Nine Locks and Big Spruce deliver SAME DAY!!!

What a wonderful service and great choices of wine. It is the only place in maritime you can get tht best selections. They know everything and explain each customers what they want. Favourite liquor store in the city. Staff are knowledgeable, selection is quite varied. Best quality gin selection, Uncle Val's is the best gin I've ever tasted and I can only find it here.

Bishop's Cellar is a great little shop specializing in wine. There is a decent selection and prices range widely as you would expect. A great location especially given their business hours as they are usually open when nslc is closed.

Bishop's does indeed have a really nice and unique selection of interesting wines. I would have liked to browse longer than I did. However the atmosphere seemed pretentious and the staff were unfriendly. Just not a great experience.
