From the initial contact, Nic with You Move Me was responsive, professional and friendly. I reached out to a few companies for a quote, and You Move Me was the only one that met with me at my house to provide the most accurate quote. The quote they provided was slightly higher than the others I recieved because they estimated a longer amount of time. I went with this company anyway because, as the only ones who had been through the house, I felt they had the best understanding of how long the move would take. In the end, I think this was the right decision and that the other companies would have spent more time than estimated. On my moving day, Kane and Adrian arrived on time, hustled all day and took good care of my furniture and other stuff. They were also friendly and professional. You Move Me was recommended to me by a friend who had used them previously, and I would definitely recommend them as well.

You Move Me provided a stress-free move. The quote was accurate, no hidden fees. They charge by the 15 min interval and from the time they show up at your house. Competitive rates. The team was professional and hard-working, even on an extremely hot day. They dropped off boxes and packing supplies ahead of time and provided important tips to help the packing go more smoothly. The trucks were clean and on time. Nothing was damaged and they took extra care with specialty items. Even our dog loved these guys! I would highly recommend this team of movers!

Nic and his team did a great job with our move. From our in-person quotation, right up until the final items moved in, You Move Me was professional, courteous, and efficient. Their flat fee for the truck was great, as most of the other quotes we received had the clock starting when the truck left the office. Not with You Move Me! We got a phone call a couple of days before to confirm arrival time, and to see if we needed any last minute packing materials. The team phoned in the morning to say they would be arriving soon, and came with wardrobe boxes, Tons of moving blankets, and some other items that we didn’t even know we needed! Nic and his team did a great job covering and protecting our floors and walls from damage, and ensured all of our household items were secured and protected on the truck. They moved fast, even around a couple of tricky staircases in our house. This was our best moving experience ever! All we had to do was direct traffic on where stuff went. We very highly recommend this company, would definitely use them again, and will be telling all our friends!

I am a disabled person and was so impressed with the care and quality of service that the moving crew provided. Nic, Colt, and Christian were just amazing. I also have a dog who has recently been diagnosed with cancer and they were super kind and compassionate to her. The crew were quick, careful and very skilled. I have a friend who used to be a mover and he was very impressed with how well they seemed to know their job. Christian seemed like a newer addition to the crew but Nic and Colt were amazing at balancing efficiency with the need to instruct Christian. I would highly recommend this company and the crew.

The guys were amazing. Professional yet fun. Hard workers. Didn't complain once about any requests. Continually offered to adjust and readjust where furniture was placed. Kept a steady strong work effort the entire day. I kept asking them to take a break but they wanted to push through. As well, our furnishings were handled with care. Everything that could be wrapped in a blanket was done so properly. Every piece of our furnishings were the same when leaving the old house to when they were placed in the new house. Team called me while in transit and they arrived about ten minutes early. With my mom moving from one seniors residence to another, elevator timing was critical and the team met both commitments. Furniture was all wrapped with moving blanket and I was offered a mattress bag. Move can in 30 minutes under budget and I now have Nic’s team booked for our move at the end of the month. Great job guys... thanks for making a stress filled day for my mom go so smoothly!

Overall a good experience. We chose them because we preferred the pay by the hour option, we needed a little muscle to help with the big things like a piano and couches. We hired You Move Me to move us from a third floor apartment with no elevator to a high rise apartment. We have a fair amount of large furniture, and I was worried the combination of no elevator and big furniture would mean higher costs. I need not have worried -- from the very first contact with this company, every concern I had was answered and dealt with in a friendly, transparent manner. The rep I spoke with on the phone, Justin, was upfront about their pricing (and the final charges were right on budget!) and reassured me that the three-man crew would be able to manage the challenge of my old apartment's stairs. The three guys who moved us, Kane, Andrew and Adrian, were on-time, friendly, professional, and so efficient. And yes, they did bring me a coffee! They placed everything where we wanted it, and nothing was damaged in any way (which was another concern I had since some of our furniture is older and a little fragile). I'm so please we hired You Move Me -- I'm raving about them to anyone who will listen. Thank you for the amazing moving experience!

I even requested a free quote, and they called me not 10 minutes later to book everything. They were extremely flexible, especially since I had to move up my moving date. This is the fifth time I believe,that we have used the You Move Me gang! The first two were actual full day moves,the third,moving some tight fitting furniture to my son’s apartment,the fourth moving my father’s furniture and belongings from his retirement home in Hamilton to a storage unit in Guelph and then last week.We had a brand new sofa that had to be lifted into place in our sitting nook and the You Move Me peeps did an excellent job taking great care not to scratch the walls, stairway or damage the sofa. Bravo guys!! What would we do without you? You’re like family !

Don’t trust the reviews. Settling any dispute with this company requires signing a document saying you won’t post your experiences publicly. They did not uphold their end of the agreement so here I am. Summary: You Move Me Kitchener will take over 2x the estimated time to move you, damage your items in the process, promise to replace them, hope you forget, offer you scrap prices, and then ghost you. Once the movers arrive, you sign the contract. This is the first time you are ever shown this contract. It is 7 pages long and is presented to you on a phone/tablet and no work is happening while they wait for you to sign it. This contract contains all the fine print that basically says they’re not responsible for anything that happens to your belongings. I cannot find where this contract is publicly available on their website. Any estimate given beforehand is worthless. I was quoted 3 hours for my move. It took 7 hours plus a 1 hour lunch. 10am to 6:30pm to move a 900sqft condo 2 blocks down the road. Based on the estimate I received, I scheduled my move-out elevator from 10am-12pm and my move-in elevator from 11am-2pm. The superintendent at my destination needed to work overtime due to my slow move. When I asked one of the movers about this, he said he knew that the estimate was for 3 hours and also knew that it was way under, yet didn’t inform me of this upfront when I still had time to make phone calls and attempt to fix scheduling issues. Additionally, You Move Me damaged my toaster oven, entertainment center, bookshelf, and (plastic protected) mattress cover in the move. After waiting half an hour for the movers to discuss with their boss over the phone, they came back to me with an offer of $60 in compensation. The toaster oven alone costs $260 so altogether this is a very insulting offer. I then, after a very stressful 8 hour move, needed to negotiate with this person over the phone to attempt to get reasonable compensation. What we settled on was 1.5 hours off the bill plus a replacement toaster oven. I was then presented with an agreement in writing to sign, requiring that in order to receive this compensation, I was not to share this experience online or with the BBB. Fast-forward 4 weeks and I have not heard anything about the toaster oven. I emailed the contact I had from setting up the move to inquire and received no response. 1 week later I called the main company phone line (there’s no way to directly contact a franchise). I spoke with an agent who said someone from customer service would call me back. Nobody did. 2 days later I called again. I was told my issue had been assigned to the franchise and that someone from the franchise would call me back. They didn’t. 4 days later I called again and was told that someone would call me back. Somebody did! Tanya from customer service. The call started with her asking why I waited so long to file the claim... SIGH. Clearly nothing had been put into my file up until this point. She says she has reached out to the franchise and they have 48 hours to respond to her. 6 days later, no response. I call Tanya and leave a message. The next day, I receive a call from Tanya. She has spoken with the franchise and the new offer is to attempt to repair my toaster oven. If (when) it cannot be repaired, I will be paid 60 cents per pound. Yes, that’s scrap prices of $13 for my $260 toaster oven. I’ve left Tanya 2 messages since that phone call. No response. So, in summary, as compensation for damaging my toaster oven, entertainment center, bookshelf, and mattress cover, You Move Me Kitchener promised to replace my toaster oven. They then changed their mind and offered me $13.

These guys used to be great. They're friendly and kind, but when I hired them the third time they really gouged me. My move cost 3 times the quote ($800 vs $2,400) and I was only moving locally into storage containers, so no unpacking. Why the price jump? They taped blankets on everything, including the leather couch pillows. It took them literally hours to take all the tape off because I didn’t choose the option to buy the blankets—only offered to me at unloading time. I had already prewrapped all my breakables. Same with art. It was wrapped and they added boxed to the wrapping and charged me. I wasn’t offered an option, just a bill at the end. I felt extremely taken advantage of. When I unpacked the storage container, they had destroyed my $2,000 couch and a large bin of breakables from my grandmother, which are irreplaceable (and had been properly marked as fragile with notes not to put anything on top—they piled 4 bins with heavy books on top). WARNING: This is a franchise, and the Guelph/Kitchener teams are nice but the Toronto team is absolutely horrible. They are rude, left an incomplete job, left my furniture in pieces, yelled at me, told me movers are not slaves because they didn’t want to put the ramp to their truck down so they had to lift everything extra high to get in. They were just awful.

Nic put together a stellar team of movers to accommodate a tricky move into a period property with a narrow staircase. The crew handled my furniture with care and attention to detail and didn't flinch when it came to heavy or bulky furniture pieces. I've moved several times, and this team stands out amongst the top. The prices are competitive and fair. Even during the peak moving season, their rates are the same as at other times of the year, and they calculate the cost of the return trip according to Google Maps' estimated time, which is nice for the customer. Not only did my crew ( Dan and Coulter) have to deal with torrential down pours and my apartment building that is humid, about 100 degrees, and has the longest hall ways ever...they also had to deal with my jerk of a superintendent. After about an hour of them being there, and working diligently, this man decided he should yell at them for taking too long. No word of a lie, he was yelling at them saying they were doing nothing. These two boys kept their professionalism and did not loose their composure. And I can tell you, they weren't "doing nothing". The move took WAY longer than anticipated as the super decided he was taking the elevator off of service, so everything had to be piled up in the hallway first. Thru the whole fiasco, these boys remained positive, happy, and up beat. They definately represented the company with integrity and respect, which is not often seen these days. A huge kudos and thank you to these 2 gentlemen.

I had used this service twice last week Thursday April 15th and Saturday April 17th both moves were were done professionally. The guys that came on Thursday were amazing. I can't remember all their names but I believe Cain, Brandon, and Daniel and then there were three others all of which were amazing. Great team. Thursday's move was a standard move but again the guys were amazing. So glad I hired your team. Saturday was a little different you were to move the basements contents to a storage unit in Georgetown and speaking with Daniel and Brandon we didn't seem to think it would all fit. Daniel asked me to call Nic and Nic you worked your magic and were able to reserve a larger locker in Guelph for me. Wow above an beyond. Having moved 6 times when we were younger, we always tried to find movers that fit our limited budget. We decided to give You Move Me (YMM) a go as they gave us a free box (soon after noticing our For Sale Sign) and a professional, friendly, no pressure estimate. They were higher than other companies, but I had a good feeling with them and I've come to the conclusion that, for the most part, with movers, you get what you pay for. While it wasn't perfect, I do believe the folks at YMM earned their fair share on one of the worst days to move in the summer. On a brutally humid/hot day (which felt like 40 Celsius!) they worked very hard, were friendly, professional, reasonable, and did their best. No significantly damaged items (a few items with scrapes but builders don't think of movers when designing spaces and I can say that they took great care to protect valuable things like mirrors, glass shelves, etc...). There were a few scrapes and/or knicks in the wall from where we moved and where we moved into, but on a brutal day like that, it's understandable and I don't think it's possible to move big heavy things without scratching something. They were brave enough to move a horrific treadmill out of the basement, a sofa/couch from a second floor, and other furniture into a 3 story townhouse. Luke was friendly, professional, and accommodating when our Lawyers dragged their feet on getting us the lockbox code we needed to gain entry into our house (side note: if you are selling your house and moving to a new one, PAY for bridge financing for a day in advance so you don't have to go through the incredible stress we did - you can move tricky items like propane tanks, won't worry about pushing Lawyers who couldn't care less to get you a lockbox code, and can have stress free access to the house when you need it on the following day). We were originally quoted for 7 hours and 1 truck but it became apparent that all our stuff couldn't fit. Not a problem! They called in an extra truck and two helpers (Eric, who has a great sense of humour, and another gentleman who's name I can't recall) to help us out. My understanding is that this would not have been charged to us, had we had immediate access to our new place. Luke and Nic were accommodating in helping tweak things to get us a decent price since we were behind schedule thanks to no keys. They supplied an extra mover, free of charge, to help once we did. Eric, Andrew, and Brandon were all friendly and did their best: their shirts were caked in sweat and they did not complain or act rude despite the temperatures. The movers were young and some were newer to moving but did their best and were very polite throughout the move. My only complaint here was that they left garbage (Gatorade bottles) but for all they did, that was a small thing. We were supplied free wardrobe boxes too, although some of them were falling apart pretty quickly, and charged for a few fragile/mirror boxes that were never used, but that's just a minor complaint. I don't recall them bringing us a coffee nor leaving a housewarming gift. :( We actually bought THEM coffee twice (and would still do it again). Even though I paid much more than I was expecting (due to not having timely access to our new place ) I would still do it again, as they did a professional job and did their best. They even helped rebuild our dining table right away so we could have a place to eat right away. You could go with other movers who may charge less, but you will likely get charged more somewhere else. We were charged once they arrived and finished. You could go with other movers who may not scratch anything but will be arrogant (even during estimates, can you believe that?) and you will pay an arm and a leg and they'll run the clock down. YMM won't do either. Give them a try and see how it goes. We'd definitely consider using them again in the future. Thank you Luke, Eric, Andrew, the other gentleman, and Brandon!

Worst moving experience ever. Have made four inter-national moves and numerous intercity and intracity moves and this is the one I would like to forget. Moved a lot ourselves (numerous van/suv's/trailer loads/uhaul truck) but didn't help diminish final bill much. Damaged headboard,broken/missing sofa leg, scraped wooden floors, gouged walls etc seemed less than professional. Missed and left behind a whole storage area in the old house they were told to move. Boxes and luggage piled on main floor bed in new home when clearly labelled BASEMENT -moved them ourselves so we could sleep! There was little respect for our possessions and home and no pride in workmanship. Local company and head office unwilling to adjust the final bill in lieu of damages,. items left behind at the old house and the work we had to do to move items to their labelled respective areas in the new home - but that was never offered - offered to come and clean (but not scotch guard) our carpeted basement stairs and to look at the damage on the walls and wood floors. They have cancelled all negotiations so we will be doing all the repairs etc at our own expense. Protect your belongings, use someone else. If you do use them, hope and pray you never have a problem that you have to work out with them after the move. Customer service at its worst. I give them one star for showing up on time.

Nic was very helpful and polite when he came to assess the needs of the move. He was understanding of the needs in dealing with the move of my 85 year old mother from the family home to an apartment. His team were all polite and helpful when they came to pack up on the day before and again on the day of the move. They were efficient, punctual and adjusted their time to meet the needs of my mother. I particularly liked their transparency when discussing costs and everything was laid out up front. There were no hidden costs. I would use them again and definitely recommend them to anyone for any type of move.

The movers themselves were excellent. They were courteous, friendly and professional. The organization of it was a nightmare. The representative in charge of our case greatly underestimated the size and volume of our home. His estimation was one truck and a crew of three movers. On every occasion I asked if he still thought one truck was enough, he assured me it was. It wasn't. The movers arrived on time and it was obvious to them by about 2pm that they did not have enough room to move everything. They called for the second truck, which did not arrive until 6pm. We filled two large trucks, front to back, floor to ceiling. The move ended up taking two days and I paid $1,000.00 over the estimate, and that was with significant discounting (about 20% the first day and 50% the second paying only for the labour of the workers, the fees for the trucks and overnight storage were reduced to $0). And it wasn't the need for a second truck, extra movers and the cost that really frustrated me that day. It was the lack of preparation. If I had been quoted for two trucks, six movers and the anticipated cost of such, it would have been fine. It was the scrambling at the last minute that caused all the stress. Thankfully this company has good movers in its employ who worked tirelessly to get us moved, without breaks and under-staffed. They are the reason I am giving two stars.

Phase one was completed this morning, before noon. Very efficient and friendly. It was a good experience, on a bad day to be moving, with it being a holiday. With everything now being complete, 14th of January. Moved on the 31st and things arrived in new place on the second. Had our things stored in the truck; we misplaced an item in one of our bookshelves. that item was there still. Because our contents were stored overnight in the truck we got an infestation, some deals were squished on the boxes, in between too. Unzipped my mattress cover. Saw some more within the mattress cover. Texted with the representative on the third, and didn't get a respond back. We didn't have ants before we moved. Disappointed only because our text wasn't acknowledged and this was an about face from the previous pleasant experience. We weren't asking for anything just simply letting them know about their situation. Writing this now just so that the next customers maybe will read this and know what to expect. I still am pleased with the move and the service itself. The representatives were nice and did a great job. But nobody wants insects that they didn't have before, so this review is a heads up for potential customers.

I have used this moving company in the past and had great results. This month I used them again with even better experience. Nicolas and his team arrived in time and started to pack the truck. They wrap all the fragile items in blankets and then in specialized boxes. They even disassemble heavy items like beds dining tables and then wrap them in thick blankets for safe transporting and then assemble them again and put them where we need them to be. I used this service for a local move. I did the packing. The movers were polite and friendly, and very efficient. All of my furniture was well protected. They were great at disassembling and assembling furniture that required it. I have an issue with a final price being half again more than the initial estimate, and i moved all the outdoor and fragile stuff! While the move went great, and i feel i did get value for the money, its very hard to budget when the estimate is so far off. I would hesitate to use this company again for that reason alone. I feel an estimate should be reasonably close to the final price.

Very professional and super friendly guys showed up on time. I didn't have everything completely organised and some furniture hadn't been taken apart yet (beds etc). They totally took control and got the job done one a timely manner, and more importantly on point with what I was quoted. My only concern during the whole move was a four foot tall copper statue I got from the in laws, but the guys assured me they've had delicate items like this before. They wrapped it properly, and by the time it arrived, no scratches or dents. There was one area coming up the basement stairs that has a super tight corner and subsequently got a scratch from the couch which was almost expected. The guys assured me they would take care of this and within two days a professional was at my house and the job was done. If they do cross boarder moves, I'll be using them again in a few years when I head to the states.

Right from the time I called to inquire about their services they were very professional and took the time to answer all of my questions. We were moving to an area 3 hours away and they kept to the schedule all day. They showed up right on time and prepared all furniture for transport with care. Once unloaded they removed all packing materials and took away any garbage it produced (tape, boxes, etc). They used floor runners at all times, and were very careful around walls and doorways. Very professional team of movers and cost was very reasonable for the excellent service they provided. If you need a moving company you can trust then You Move Me should be your first call!

I hired Nic's team to move my family from a 3 bedroom townhouse to a 4 bedroom fully detached house across town in summer 2018. Nic quoted slightly higher than competitors, but proposed a larger team than the others. Between the first visit and the day of the move, Nic and his dad were easy to reach by phone and email. They were always pleasant to deal with. Nic was forthcoming about pricing and there were no surprises on the invoice. On the day of the move, Nic's team arrived promptly, with coffee for me and my wife. His team consisted of one new guy, who was courteous as he worked, and three guys in their 20s-30s who were clearly experienced. The latter three inspired confidence. In fact, as the team emptied our storage unit, my wife and I went out for a beer and a burger. We'd been packing for weeks, but Nic's team made the day of the move a stress-free occasion. Firstly, they were moving me to Toronto, and the day that restrictions were put in place regarding moves to Toronto was the day Nic was coming to give me a quote. He advocated for me in his meeting and ensured that the team could still move me. I was the last move they were allowing to Toronto! Secondly, it snowed the night before and the day of my move (of course!) Nic’s team showed up on time, were polite, personable, and kind, and went above any movers I’ve ever had. They knew this move was stressful for me, and put me at ease right away. They also enjoyed working around my dog and cat, who both took a shine to all of them. Pets have the best gauge in someone’s character! A good sign. Thirdly, when they got to Toronto, it was quite the hike to the elevator and from the elevator.
