I was scheduled to move with Allard in March of 2021. The day of the move, they said the driver was injured. No move. The next day they said the truck broke down. So they were going to use two smaller trucks. But only one truck actually showed up. The other would come "later". Four hours later they have filled up one truck with half my stuff, and then said there was an issue with the other truck. They would try to find a new second truck. So I sat in in a half empty house for three hours while the movers were off driving around in the truck with half my stuff looking for another truck. They eventually came back and packed everything else. But by the time we finally reached the destination, we could no longer get into the storage facility, so they had to leave all that in our garage, and we had to rent *another* truck the next week to deal with that. And I won't even get into all the scratched furniture and how the movers threw things around. No offer was made to me make up for any of this unprofessional service.

Ahmed (sp) was our main contact and he kept us informed throughout the process. The Allard team made the long distance moving process so much less challenging than it otherwise could have been. These guys did an out of state move from PA to NH. They were supposed to show up at 8am. They didn't come until 3pm, without any explanation. I don't know how anyone can do business like this. Moving is stressful enough without the MOVING company not living up to their contractual obligation. Not only would I not recommend Allard, I suggest avoiding them at all cost.

I must say, I was a bit nervous at about my move and the fact that Allard Send made it SO reasonable, made me even more nervous! However, after speaking with Michael and reading the reviews, I decided to take the plunge! He reassured me about the process and that my move would be handled carefully and professionally. He could not have been nicer and more correct. Although the “Andres” (yes, Andre and Andre) were later than I expected, they kept me informed every step of the way and in a word, were simply AWESOME!! It was truly a pleasure working with them, and although I really don’t want to move again for a really LONG time, if I had to, I would call them again in a heartbeat! Best experience with a moving company! After receiving quotes of thousands of dollars to move from CT to Boston, I did not believe the quote I received from Michael Lodsin was real. It seemed too good to be true. After reading other reviews, I decided to give Allard Send a try. So glad I did. Great local company!

We used Allard Send for an out of state move. Initial engagement was good and Keith the owner was responsive and helpful. However the crew that packed our house ended up rushing and throwing items onto the trucks alongside smashing a box of wine and physically fighting with each other. We ended up having to pay an additional $2500 for a another truck due to incorrect estimate/poor packing management. Those things aside our main issue was the damage caused to our household goods and the lack of a reasonable discussion on compensation. We had multiple items damaged ranging from broken shelving units to ripped sofas to damaged chairs. Allards response (once they could be bothered to respond) was very much a couldn't care less attitude, they refunded $18 despite the obvious damage caused by crews and photos showing the damaged items in situ on the truck. They even acknowledged the damage but stated that because it was on the back of the couch it wouldn't matter, which was just salt to the wound. Utterly disappointed in the after service received and would not recommend.

Really painless and efficient move! Keith helped me set up the flat-rate move from Connecticut to Boston, MA. The movers showed up at 11am to dis-assemble + load all my furniture, and we were DONE (all furniture re-assembled) by 5pm. The elevator in my new building was not operational, but the movers brought all my stuff into my 4th floor apartment without a fuss.

I used this company to move from New York to Ct. They arrived a few hours late and then one guy came up and did all the work. I had helped him move my boxes as it was a studio with no furniture to move. His name was Anthony, and he was a hard worker. Driving from NYC to Ct took over 7 hours so they arrived after 10 pm to my storage unit which is where I was putting my belongings. It took them an extra few hours to arrive then myself, as I had drove the same route at the same time. Once the truck arrived at my storage, another kid appeared. It was the first time I saw him in this whole move. He helped with a few walks to the storage unit, but that was the extent of his help. He had to go to the bathroom in the middle of taking everything out and then when he did bring some boxes to the storage unit, it took quite some time, which I then in turn did it myself. It was now dark at this time and I looked into the truck to make sure all my stuff was taken out. I had wanted to get in, but the kid said everything was out of it. I saw an area of blankets and was hard to see. (I had mentioned prior I did not have furniture but they came with the largest possible Budget truck and pushed everything way in the back). I asked what was under that and he said nothing, just the blankets. I took his word on it. They left and I noticed my rug was not in storage. It was confirmed by the mover that it was taken out of my apartment and put into the truck, but was never taken out of the truck. I had contacted them right away and said they would speak to the manager. I then contacted the manager and was asked to put in a claim. I did that with no response. I then reached out again and they said that I did not have enough evidence about my rug. The actual mover confirmed that the rug went in. I had pictures of my apartment with the rug and date, and then the apartment vacant. Obviously, I didn't realize that in order to have evidence, I would of needed to video them putting all my belongings in the truck. I guess their own employee word of mouth is not credited for saying he put my rug in there and it was not taken out. I have been going back and forth with them for over a month now. I find it quite disheartening that they could do nothing for me, and ignoring me, so hopefully it will go away. I would not use this company again. They were extremely proactive, texting, communicating when they wanted the business, but if there is any hiccup, as losing personal belongings, they ignore and want no part of it. What is really concerning is that the mover said it was not taken out and they couldn't use that as evidence. It is too bad as one kid works his tail off and is really good. They are fortunate to have such a hard worker. But not taking out peoples personal belongings (which I was told is not the first time this has happened) is shady and not professional. I would look elsewhere for a moving company. Beware!

They broke my TV. Also lost one of my boxes!! Delivery dude was underslept and kept roughing up the edges of my furniture and the walls of my new place too. And now they stopped responding to emails so are basically refusing to file an insurance claim for the TV. :(

I hired Allard Send to help move my family from NJ to CT. Buyer beware.. this is an age old story of "you get what you pay for." Keith was persistent yet relatively helpful in my booking process. I went with Allard because they were much cheaper than other quotes I received and the flat rate pricing was attractive. On the day of my move the mover showed but 2 hours late due to "traffic." I checked their route and there was little to no traffic. When I called Keith to check their status after being an hour late he was dismissive and told me they were "on there way." The movers showed up stinking like marijuana and while they were nice guys they were frankly also just complete amateur's. They took forever to pack the truck even though I helped a significant amount. When they finally arrived at my destination, I noticed there was only two guys unloading. When I asked about the 3rd mover I was told he "quit." 20 minutes later he appeared from the truck and said he had been ordering food. The whole thing was very odd. They forgot how to put multiple pieces of furniture back together (I had to do a few myself because I didn't want them there all night) they also damaged a few pieces that were never properly wrapped. Do not hire Allard for larger moves unless you are ok with an amateur operation handling you stuff.

DO NOT USE!!! They showed up 6 hours late to move us from NYC to MA and nothing I paid for arrived. Two men rather than three, no packing materials, bed covers, boxes. Once delivered to MA they broke my TV. I filled out a claim and have gotten the run around for money owed since!. The owner, Austen will tell you the 'check is coming' 'I'll get back to you" but he won't. Pay the extra - use someone else!

I hired Allard and closed the deal with Keith. I strongly emphasized that I had a 400 lb. TV center. Keith assured me that his men were very strong and were capable of lifting it. On the day of the 2 movers advised that they would be unable to lift it due to the weight and were trying to reschedule moving the piece. I advised them of Keith's promise and they reached out to Awstyn. Awstyn communicated that he would swing by at no additional cost to assist, I was extremely happy. The movers did not have any tools so I provided them with my phillips screwdriver. The mover asked for a bag for the screws to my bed. I was surprised because usually one wraps them in tape to be secured to the item. I was even more surprised when he claimed to have lost the bag of screws. He then promised that he had plenty of screws and would be able to replace the disappeared ones Unfortunately they were not able to secure my bed and I left my screwdriver at the move out location. I was very upset at this and even more upset when Awstyn advised them to tell me to process a claim. When I went back to my move out location, something told me to look inside the garbage bag I left in the bedroom and low and behold the screws were thrown inside a different smaller bag in the garbage. These guys come unprepared without tools so they can dump everything and not have to put any furniture back together. You guys think you're slick. They worked super slow, it took them about 12 hours to finish for a 60 mile move. One of the workers was a freelancer. They did not put the boxes where they were supposed to go and I was too tire# to llay director for most of it. Word of advise if you're going to hire them, make sure you have your tools and keep your furniture screws until you arrive at your location. For the price I paid, Shame on you Allard!!!!

Pros: Allard Send was the most responsive moving company out of the handful that we contacted. I also appreciated that the quote they give you is a flat rate (not hourly) and there aren't any hidden fees or sneaky add-ons. Cons: Though I really wanted to leave a good review, I was disappointed with our move using Allard Send. My partner and I moved out of state from Connecticut to Rhode Island.The morning of the move, our movers arrived without face masks and also told us they forgot their packing blankets! They said they would pack all our furniture in the truck, drive to a Home Depot, and buy packing blankets there. We told them we didn't want our furniture getting scratched on the way to Home Depot, so we provided our own blankets from home to wrap our furniture. A few days after our move, I discovered two of our tables, several chairs, and other items of furniture were scratched and dented :( TLDR: They are the best priced movers around, and are very fair with their quotes. Flat rate with no hidden fees, no sneaky add-ons. However, we got what we paid for. I was disappointed because they were disorganized the day of our move and scratched/dented some of our furniture.

In bidding, other companies tried to tell us that flat moving rates are illegal when crossing state lines. I don't know what that's about. Allard Send took good care of us at half the quoted price of competitors. Loading and unloading went quickly and smoothly. And, though the apartment we moved into in AL forgot when we were coming from GA, the moving guys were extremely patient and waited for them to get the apartment ready. I would definitely recommend these guys.

For starters, I personally did not go with this company. When I first talked to Keith I was for sure this company would be a solid consideration for moving forth. However, just like with anything else shopping around to make sure you are getting the best estimate or at least that you’re in the same ball park within the competition is very significant. I was quoted a lower rate by another company and by the add posted on Allard’s advertisement to beat the competition I informed Keith of the new price. Keith informed me of the star rating for the company which I respected the information however, it was his unprofessional attitude during the messages he sent back to me that made me not move forward with his company. A 100-200 dollar difference isn’t that problematic for me since the government reimburse my money back b/c the government pays for my move. I felt like as a potential customer my initial process in setting up my move is a caution of what to expect moving forward. Had the professionalism continued in the manner Keith handled me to begin with I would have for sure went with his company. The company I choose had 3 stars yet the professionalism and quality of phone/email etiquette captured me as a customer. Another point I want to make for those using ratings as a way to decide where you go. Don’t always focus on the 4/5 star ratings as those can be scams and also paid for just like bad ratings can be paid and removed. Sometimes you have to dig deeper and see what the 1/2 star complaints were to make the most accurate decision for yourself. There have been times I went with company’s that had 4 and 5 ratings and my experience was not near that. I have also been with companies I didn’t realize was rated 1 and 2 stars yet my service with them was exceptionally well. I say that to say sometimes my experience won’t be the same as another person so I don’t get too consumed into ratings but more so vibes/energy. The vibe I get from communication and then some research is what help me make what is the best choice I feel is for me. I’m not saying don’t choose this company b/c I honestly don’t know if it’s good or bad. My purpose was to share complete honest feedback with the receipts to prove exactly what I am saying. I have kept the messages between us. Moving is stressful and overwhelming enough so a warm welcoming demeanor is everything when I’m about to spend almost 2k with your company. Just a word of advice to any movers moving forward make sure you do your best to find quality over quantity regardless of what claims any company tell you or how low their competitive prices can get. Of all the things I needed to do to relocate to NH from Jersey, what I thought was going to be the most difficult (finding a moving company that could also store my stuff for several months until I found a home in this crazy real estate market) turned out to be the easiest, thanks to Keith and the guys at Allard Send. I can't say enough good things about this company and the care they put into my move. The pickup ( back in late June) was smooth and seamless, the cost for storage was incredibly reasonable, communication was very good, and the delivery was perfect - the guys were at my new house before I was, which was impressive given that they were coming from Connecticut. So far everything seems to be in great shape, which just goes to show that these guys are professionals who understand that taking care of their clients' possessions is the most important thing they can do. Hiring Allard Send for my interstate move was a great stroke of luck, and I would highly recommend them; you won't regret it!

This company is a sham. They sent people who did not know what they were doing. The truck they sent was too small - I had to rent a UHAUL the next day to move the remainder of my stuff myself. They damaged my furniture and they have not acknowledged the claim I submitted and it is 3 months later. I have filed a complaint with the BBB. DO NOT USE these movers.

The movers, after showing up 4 hours late, aggressively handled our boxes including ones marked as fragile. I watched them drop several boxes down our apartment stairs. They broke antiques that have been in my family for 70 years, asked us to file a claim for it, and then rejected it. They were 100% at fault. They lost the hardware to our furniture. I luckily had some extras in a tool box somewhere. They weren’t even going to come back to put the furniture together afterwards until we complained. We moved during Covid and they barely wore masks even after being asked. We actually had to give a mover a mask because he didn’t own one. When they left, they left trash all over the apartment stairs including: a water bottle, my daughters favorite book (bent so much it was useless), and snack wrappers. I won’t even get into other things they did that they shouldn’t have done. I am not a terribly hard person to please. I would have gladly moved past it if they accepted the claim for all of the items they broke and blamed on us even though I WATCHED them continually drop boxes all afternoon. Since they won’t make it right I’ll continue to leave this review on every site I can find. Some things you can replace, but important items from my dead Grandmother that were thrown around and broken without making it right is not acceptable.

We used Allard to move our furniture from NJ to PA and had a wonderful experience. They came on time in the early morning and delivered our belongings to our home very quickly. The guys were very professional and accommodating. I would highly recommend them and would happily use them again. They are honest and stick to their price if you follow their guidelines. We moved contents of a one bed room condo from CT to PA. First impression, the OWNER called me, not a broker, which gave me confidence with whom I was dealing. Got flat rate quote. We packed our own breakables. Movers were on time and were two very nice, very strong young men who did a great job for us. They were respectful of COVID protocols and wore masks, which we appreciated. Went directly to PA on same day and unloaded us quickly. Very happy with all their service.

Short notice out of state 1,000 Sq. Ft. move from Jersey City, NJ to a storage facility in New Hampshire, during a high demand time (August 1). Keith from Allard was persistent and convinced me to cancel my (non-binding) move with a competitor (Flat Rate Moving) because he had a better bid for me after another client of his canceled. Some people might find the persistence annoying--how annoyed would you be to save literally $3,000 on your move? The 2 man crew (Mundhi/Chris I believe) were great. Keith kept his word and didn't add a cent to the invoice, but I also kept my side of the bargain and had everything perfectly packed and ready to go. Yes, I had to go buy a couple of things of bubble wrap and mover's wrap from Home Depot. The truck that came was a Budget truck (who cares?). It was more than enough for my large 1 BR apartment and I didn't share the truck with anyone else (but yes, I was prepared for that possibility). If you're more high maintenance, feel free to go with one of the Boiler Room companies (like Flat Rate), but you're going to pay for it. The next cheapest quote I received for this move was, no joke, $4,500 more than I paid with Allard. For a 1 bedroom. No-brainer.

Their quotes are lower than others, but I really wish I had paid more for more experienced movers. They arrived at my apartment 2-3 hours later than discussed then didn’t even start delivering my items until 24 hours later as they did another move in another city with all my items in the truck. They were a lot slower and less efficient loading and unloading than the other movers I have used in the past and were not that careful with my stuff. I haven’t opened all the boxes yet, but at least one large piece of furniture got damaged during the move. Lastly they said they were having truck issues and had to move my stuff from one truck to another. This was seemingly done during a rain storm as several of my boxes arrived with the bottoms soaked through. (It was not raining either during the original load in or final unload.)

This is my second move using Allard Send. In both moves 2 men arrived in the am on time. Jordan was the lead in both moves. He was professional, courteous and respectful, both to my family and most importantly to the furniture they were moving. They worked diligently to wrap and load. For the several hours they were in the house they never took a break or slowed down their effort. Once the load was done and secure, they had 3 different homes in 3 different states to deliver and unload. This "event" started early in the am and ended at the last house late that evening...........all with positive response from the recipients.

Our move on 9/1 Tropical storm Ida was crazy move from Long Island to Connecticut - 12hrs. total. Truck getting late to LI and very late to CT. Total very unprofessional! sales “Kevin Jones” booked a 26 ft. Truck unprepared with number blankets and so we purchase green wrap ours selfs to finish protecting of furniture. The bunch of guys (3) including the foreman “Andre” a real character kid like not a adult lacked major customer service skills! no regard at all to protecting our items in the truck, I also had to check loading of truck periodically too, Some guy that came very late in CT was putting stuff back on the truck and I caught him - questioned, but couldn’t prove it! fishing pole broken and other furniture scratched and dented for starters, be sure to find more damage items as I unwrap Now the sales guy wants me to file a claim for damaged items on their web site will see how that goes. My wife also was very generous and bought Subway sandwiches for the crew and tipped generously too! Niceness a slap in the face to us! I highly recommend think twice before hiring this company!!

The agent, Keith promises great service but everyone after that dropped the ball big time. Crew shows up 3 hours after promised time with 5 blankets and no tie down straps. I was supposed to be only move on truck but it appeared they tried to make room for a small load by basically trashing my property by tossing things on top of others with no regard to care. The final straw was my bbq grill and lawn mower thrown on top of mattress and couch. The only bright spot was Anthony and Igor who were stuck unloading my truck that they didn't load. While they offered a great price, it's not worth the aggravation. You get what you pay for. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!!!

I had to abruptly move from NYC to Boston, planning start-to-finish, within 11 days. With all the moving parts (no pun intended) it was such a relief to have Allard Send on my side. Not only did I get a fantastic flat rate, but Awstyn & team went above and beyond to ensure my belongings were safe and in good hands! With any move, there will inevitably be some hiccups along the way--with me, I incurred a last-minute issue with UHaul Storage and had to switch providers to Public Storage. Not only was Allard Send flexible in the address change, but they even held my belongings overnight (at no additional charge) since the new facility was not 24/7 accessible. Talk about being a stress reliever during a stress inducing move! Kudos. I've done other flat rate movers in the past, but these guys were courteous, professional, accommodating, and efficient. Used these services for CT to NC move. Scheduling and Pickup was good. The delivery was 2 days late due to some truck trouble. Moreover there was furniture that was broken/damaged on delivery. The moving person acknowledged the damage and request to raise a claim. This is shocking part, the claim was denied inspite of sending very clear pictures. The reason given were some specific type of furniture not over by insurance. I mean what is the point of having insurance in contract if it cannot cover damages during travel. I am not happy with the claim being rejected. I expect a good professional moving company to cover moving damages or at least a part of it . I would not use it again due to these reasons.

We called Allard Send to move Mom from Ellsworth to Ct. They quoted us the best price of 4 moving companies. Andre and Jordan drove from East Granby, CT to Ellsworth ME overnight (7-1/2 hours) and were ready to load for 8:30. They hustled and maintained a positive attitude. To make matters even more unpleasant and challenging was the fact they loaded in heavy pouring rain. Respectful, polite, efficient and hard working young men! Movers do important meaningful work. Moving is stressful in general, but these guys honestly made it a lot easier. They replied to my request for a quote almost immediately (over a holiday weekend in the late evening no less), the flat rate was great and the only extra cost (an hourly rate for packing and any extra materials I needed from them) was really reasonable and something I was more than happy to pay, and the guys who did my actual move (Andre and Austin) were fantastic. Lots of great communication throughout, really responsive, and the process was as smooth and painless as I can honestly imagine. I'm absolutely planning on reaching out to these guys first the next time I have a move farther than I can handle myself.

Movers showed up an hour late, which isn't unreasonable, but they took over 5 hours to pack up my 1BR apartment, and then told us they would not arrive with our items until 11:30pm. We had to wait until the next day to receive the items, where we found that they had (1) broken our 65" TV (2) left multiple items that were supposed to be moved in our old apartment and (3) left old food and garbage in our old apartment. We paid for their packing services and they left multiple drawers in the kitchen unpacked. I received no email back about my issues and the worst part is that I had to pay the invoice before I could even inspect to see if the TV was working, so I am out over half the cost of the move to replace the TV.

GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. There's a chance they might successfully pull off your move without damages or losing something, but it's pretty slim! They throw all your stuff in with the stuff of a bunch of other people, it bangs all around in the giant truck, and then they might just give some of your things to someone else! Happened to me!! The gentlemen who helped me move were incredibly professional. They arrived early at the first location, put down a mat to protect the floors and quickly packed up my items. They very kindly put my mattress in a protective bag. For the delivery, they were able to change it to a different date when I was not able to reserve a loading doc. Movers arrived a day late. Movers had only one moving blanket to move a 1BR apartment, and had no tools with which to do any necessary disassembly. The movers destroyed our couch, damaged the elevator at our new apartment, destroyed a bookcase and TV stand, and damaged our bed and dresser. The company also overcharged our card for the move and took several days to process a refund for the excess charge (contract stated that the price would be reduced, not that a refund would be given after the fact). Company is very slow to respond to claims. "Right away" can mean up to a week. I would not recommend Allard Send to my worst enemy. Do not use them under any circumstances. If I could give zero or negative stars, I would.

The upfront communication was great. All went downhill from there. Showed up without any protective padding. The 2 guys were well above their heads even though I sent a full list of what was to be moved. Clearly didn’t know how to protect the furniture or pack a truck to keep everything protected. We paid for overnight storage and they showed up the next day around 4pm!!! They couldn’t find someone to work! Ridiculous to say the least. My husband loaded and unloaded as much as the workers. They were rushing and broke several items which I put in a claim for and never heard a word. Contacted them no less than 20 times via different avenues and still nothing. Ended up disputing part of the charges to compensate for the broken and damaged goods. Stay away for sure.

STAY AWAY. While I was in the process of getting quotes for a move from CT to NYC, I contacted Allard Send for their prices. I was promptly bombarded with 8 long text messages from the company. Then was sent two emails. Then was promptly called. Although all of this was annoying (and over the course of 1 minute), I know they have to hustle for business. The part that was offensive and concerning was the email I sent to them thanking them for taking the time to put a quote together, but I was choosing another moving company. The response I received was rude, infantile and shocking. It is clear they have no idea on how to talk or communicate effectively with prospective customers.

Allard send did such a terrific job of moving me from ATL to Cherry Log, (Georgia) in July that they were the first folks I thought of when dealing with a fiasco creasted by a different "local delivery company". I was having a new sofa/loveseat delivered and this "delivery company" ignored my instructions, sent only 1 person for a "white glove" delivery, and in a wrong vehicle to get up my steep gravel drive about which they were forewarned. They literally left my sofas stranded on the side of the road. Desperate to get them up to my house and into my living room, I called Allard Send. Keith and owner Austin were very nice and agreed on very short notice to come to my rescue, save my sofa's , and even said they wouldn't charge me UNLESS they sucessfully delivered the sofas into my living room. Now THAT's "White glove" service! shame on you "other delivery company" whose only half baked solution was to take the sofa's back... wow... thank goodness folks like Allard Send are still taking customer service seriously. Please do yourself a favor... use these folks and forget the rest!! THANK YOU ALLARD SEND!!!

I was pleased with Keith who worked with me in setting a date and price. However when the gentlemen arrived to move me the main guy complained that I had too much stuff. Keith had said prices are based on bedrooms and not amount of stuff. I did not have a lot of large furniture but I did have quite a few boxes. So I volunteered to help. The guy was yelling at the 2nd guy and in his phone FaceTiming his girlfriend the whole time yet complained he would have hired a 3rd person. I helped a lot. Took apart furniture and carried stuff. He charged me $200 extra in cash. I’m still mad I paid it without adding it to the invoice. They were rough on my boxes and broke an arm off one of my couches as well as ripped it. He complained about my couch fitting into the new house because the legs had to come off. They weren’t put back in properly.He complained about the beds and they were not put together properly. Partly my fault because we mixed up the hardware for the 2 beds. Being a single mom this did not make my stressful move easier. I still feel a bit upset about how my furniture and new house was treated. In addition they didn’t wrap any furniture- had like 1 blanket and I provided my own mattress bags!!

STAY AWAY!!!They moved a small storage unit for me, Boston to Deleware. I explained to them just a box van needed.Fours hours late, a full sized Ryder truck shows, not Allard truck as I was told. Two nice guys, completely oversized truck with no blankets, wraps, tie down, 2 wheel dolly, nothing...My wife and I moved as much as they did. Two new white chairs were water damaged??A shelf was broken....put a “claim in”... no response... 3 or 4 emails and calls.. ignored... Had a moving agreement for a 2 Truck move for the price they quoted. Over a month ago. On Nov2 the e mail me the contract is cancelled for unforeseen reasons. 2 trucks broke down. The move was to be on Nov 4. I called their front man Keith Jones. He was unprofessional and hung up on me saying I was upsetting him. Then blocked me. We Atlas movers is to the rescue. It was never about money if these gents needed more they just had to explain they under bid the job and I would have gladly paid. I’m paying double the Allard Send people quoted. My fiancee and I have used movers nine times in the last eight years. Allard Moving stands out as the best moving company we have worked with. We hired them to help us pack our NYC apartment and move some items to a storage unit and some items to my parent's house. They were excellent at keeping storage items separate from home items. We've had other moving companies totally mess this up before. We were unsure we would be able to fit everything in our storage unit and they safely packed it up in an efficient way utilizing space that we wouldn't have been able to do on our own. The movers themselves were super friendly and easy going. They showed up early to secure good parking by our NYC apartment building in a busy midtown neighborhood. They were patient with our building when the service elevator broke down. Before the move, the office team followed up and asked clarifying questions. This was the best pre/post move service I've ever received from a moving company. Keith even remembered that I was starting a new job shortly after the move and followed up to wish me luck! I would definitely hire them again. Their pricing was very competitive, but I would even pay more to work with them again.

I had a 10×10 storage unit with a lot of heavy furniture to move. Today is November 9, 2019.. I met the movers at my unit at 11am.. They were on time and met me with a pleasant smile and were ready to work. Chris and Stephen were my movers today and were both very professional and knew exactly what I expected from the move. When they finished loading they were on their way and were in Bennington Vermont at the exact same time as I was within 5 minutes. They unloaded quickly and put all my pieces exactly where I said with no damage or hassle. This company has my business for life. Great people to hire for any size job.

I am very happy that I went with Allard. I got quotes from a few different moving companies and Allard's was by far the lowest...which made me nervous. While the vast majority of their reviews are positive, if you scour long enough, you will find negative ones as well, and I always make it a point to read all sides. At first, when I learned that I wasn't able to schedule the time of the pick up, I thought that I wasn't going to be able to use them. I understood that they can afford to be cheaper by making sure they are always scheduling a chain of moves that are not out of the way of each other, but still, not having the move scheduled was a deal breaker-until I figured out that I could have them pick my stuff up on a day when i was free, hold it overnight and then deliver my stuff at a scheduled time, all for cheaper than the next quote given to me! I am a results oriented person and I realize that good results come from professional people. My experience with Allard began with Keith. He was quick to respond to my initial inquiry, gave me a great quote, as I mentioned, without trying to nickel and dime me or needing tons of specific info (how many boxes will there be? I have no freaking clue people, I haven't packed yet!), and he was quick to respond when i changed my date, needs, etc. Thank you, Keith. My movers were Austin, Andre and Melvin. They were punctual, polite, calm, strong and reassuring. They will make someone a great mate someday! As for my needs, I saw right away that they were "can do" people- my kind of people. My big, expensive TV wasn't boxed..."No problem, we haven't lost a TV yet!" I live on a busy road, they directed traffic as they backed in. My sloped driveway made moving the rig a problem, they went out and bought a jack for the rig. No "that'll cost extra" BS, no "we don't supply that" malarkey, just get it done! They were polite to my 6-year old who kept getting in the way, they had positive, friendly attitudes and they barely seemed to get tired despite all the heavy stuff they were carrying up and down stairs. I don't think they even took a break for coffee or lunch or any of that. They took instruction, were careful with my stuff, innovative in how they moved things and packed things. I could hardly ask for more!

Do not use this company unless you want your furniture broken, your house damaged and the company to ignore you when you try to file a claim. I regretfully hired this company for a local move in November. The crew arrived several hours after the time confirmed the night before. They did not bring enough pads or other wrapping material, and I had to supply many of my own. They did not wrap my wooden furniture as promised. Several antique pieces were damages. A sampling: The top of a pine buffet was chipped; I later found the piece in the front yard of the house I was leaving. A headpiece for a mahogany buffet was scratched deeply. A drawer from a vanity was dropped off the back of the truck and struck the pavement. An heirloom chair was thrown randomly into an attic, breaking a rail off. Moreover, every wall, ceiling and doorway in both the old house and the new one were scratched and gouged. Bannisters in both homes were damaged. As if that wasn't bad enough, I filed claims immediately according to the company's policy and have been met with nothing but silence despite calls, texts and emails for more than two months. Stay away.

NEVER USE this company. We used them to move from Ct. to Li. I reviewed the photos of the contents of the house with the scheduler and then added some contents of the garage....sent photos of this also. It changed the quote from a 1 bedroom to a two. The truck was still too small due to the fact that there were other items it.....a move to be made before ours which we were not told about. The truck left Ct. at appros. 4pm and arrived at destination at 11:30pm! They driver hit a bridge / overpass and it ripped the top of the truck. What professioanl company doesn't know the correct routes for their trucks? Due to the delays and that fact that they had to remvoe our items at the first location. our things were shoved back. Almost new furniute was damagd...either due to the accident or the fact that it had to be removed and replaced after the first stop. So beware....the price may be enticing but in the end, you get what you pay for.

Horrible experience. We have moved a lot and this was one of the worst ever. First they were 3 hours late. Never called or let us know why, until we called them. We chose to overlook that. Sent two guys, as promised, but took over six hours to load a small two bedroom apartment. This caused us to not arrive at the new apartment until 11pm. I was not going to disturb my new neighbors that late. Decided to get a hotel room, called Allred and suggested the same for their guys. Again, late the next morning, took around 6 hours to unload. We had to loan them tools to put things together. They also damaged my dining room table, huge gouge across the top. We had just bought it and it was valued at $600, they only gave us $50. We have a storage in TN, we were going to use them again to deliver that to NJ. But, nope, already made different arrangements. I guess it is true, “you get what you pay for!” Only good thing was the price.

When I booked a move the mover reached out to me quickly and coordinated the elevator reservation time and arrival window very well. During the move there were a few items that got minor damage, and the mover reached out to me very quickly to resolve the issue. My scheduled pickup time was 10am-1pm. I was told they would be calling me as they were departing for my house, and would also call when they were an hour away. I called them myself, and requested a manager. The manager took my information and made a few calls before getting back to me. It turns out the 'first' truck they had dispatched to me had mechanical issues and NO ONE TOLD ME because the workers on that truck did not call and let anyone know. So at the time they were supposed to be arriving to begin moving my things, they were finding another truck, which was 4 hours away. The movers (2 guys) arrived 5 hours later than I was scheduled for. They worked hard when they were there but were very rushed. I was moving 5 hours away and had been told I could have a same-day delivery or else I would be charged for them holding my belongings. The two guys and I worked very hard to load quickly; but because of being rushed, they told me they did not have time to bring my washer and dryer out of the basement, so I lost a full size washer and dryer - $600 each. They managed to get 'most' of my things to my new home the 'same day' though it was after midnight. The three of us worked very hard unloading, but because it was dark and we were rushing, several things got damaged, or did not show up at all: my antique bed frame sustained a 3inch scrape on the headboard, 2 chairs did not make it at all, and 2 lamps were broken. I tried filing a claim the way I was instructed by the management, but have not heard back in 4 months. I will NOT be using them again.

I moved from ct to mt Vernon ny .. The move took longer then it should've what should've been a 4-5 hr all together took 12 hrs which included me having to help them if not they would probably still be moving my stuff. Thats not the worse part, they decided to park the vehicle on the building walkway when the parking lot was easily accessible.
