Quoted me $95/hour. The move took about 30 minutes. They charged me $215. When I told them what I was quoted they said the extra was for "travel time". Then they left without giving me a receipt.

Worst company to get to move you Way over prized. I moved from.Jensen Camp Road to Old Bay Bulls Road. I only had a bedroom set to move and few boxes, hutch and table they charged me 316.00 for move . They left my boxsprong and mattress in hallway didn't even put back together . I called and complained they said pwer was put of town.

Just had these folks move my apartment into my new home today and they were super fast, 2 1/2 hours start to finish. They were very friendly and made good conversation with us. Everything arrived undamaged and they made sure to lay down padding on the floors as well as our railing to protect our new home.

Everything was great until they intentionally took the wrong route to my new place and was gone for 25 mins when it's only a 8 min drive. They apologized for it when I called them asking them where they were because we both left at the same time. I knew something was up because they agreed to follow me but left first. When it came time to start putting my furniture legs on which they agreed to do in the beginning they said my 2 hours were up even though they took off for 25 mins. Wouldn't recommend them. Also charged tax with no receipt.

Good rates but not the most honest practice. Receptionist said it is "$75 per hour for 2 men", I clarified to make sure that's the only charge and he confirmed. First thing they came and said "it's cash only." When I went to the bank and called the receptionist how much it is, I got put on hold and pass around 3 rounds." It took them 45 minutes to upload everything but 1 hour to offload less the half the stuff. Later they told me there is another charge for "half an hour travel time", which I was never told despite double checking before they started. They were here for 3 hours and charged 4. They charge hst too but no receipt still. I talked to the drivers, he said "You thought we are xxx? This is just a small company out of his basement." That sums it up I guess.

Absolutely terrible experience. The people were nice I will give them that, but overall not worth the money. They charged us $780 for two truck loads & also left to "get gas", they were gone for over 30 minutes (while also still charging us during this time) even though the place we were moving to was less than 5 mins away from our old place and there's a gas station (multiple) right near the home. Threw cigarette butts all over the driveway as well which I found extremely disrespectful. Don't waste your time or money. There's better companies out there. We also had to do at least %40 of the moving, had to make at least a dozen trips with my small car packed with stuff they just wouldn't take.

Scott, Chris, and Jeff moved my belongings on the hottest day of the summer, Aug 2021; that NL has had. They came to my apartment, walked through to see what they had to move and just went right to it! They were very professional, made jokes, and lifted the heaviest boxes making them look light!! They made sure to organize their tuck so I could get it all in one load. They delivered it to my new house and didn't make a scratch or dent! Everything went where I asked for it to go. They even put back together the bed and dining room table! It was a great stress relief to have such professional men come and do something I thought was going to be a full day -- in three hours! I will recommend this company and those movers to everyone. I cannot say enough good things about them! Thank you to the men!!

These guys are currently doing a move above me in a downtown apartment. They started at 8:30 AM and they are ridiculously loud. I had to go tell them to stop yelling in the hallway and even after that, an incessant clunking of boots and continued chatter in the hallways, them knowing full well that they're waking up everyone around them. I know you have a job to do boys but this is completely unprofessional. I certainly will not be choosing your services when I need to move.

I would like to thank the Walter and Ross crew, they were professional,friendly, and really took care in moving my belongings, they didn't just slap it any where, they took the time to move everything to the proper rooms, and even tho they were payed for just moving, they offered to put together my bed, they made my move effortless,very nice and hard working..... and of all the companies I called, Big Bears was the cheapest.

Hired Big Bear three times and I think they're a decent choice for a budget-conscious move. The first time I called them my first-choice of movers (Smart Movers) had cancelled on me without notice, so I called Big Bear and they arrived in about an hour and had me moved across town in another two hours. I will NEVER use Big Bear Movers again, and I would definitely NOT recommend them to anyone! They charged me DOUBLE what I was quoted. I was so exhausted at the time that I never had the energy to dispute it. Secondly, they lost a very important piece of equipment belong to me. It took me a month of calling and bugging them about this before it was finally replaced. During that time, no one EVER called me back when I left messages. I felt they hoped I would go away. My lesson? Always get a quote in writing and never trust this movie no company!

Awful service, reckless, careless, and over charged us from the quote they gave. I called a month in advance to book an appointment and called days ahead to confirm, and they still lost the appointment on moving day. After I complained and they showed up hours late, I asked them to focus on moving big items first, but they said it would only take one trip and not to worry, and they were wrong. They then over charged me because of the extra time involved in two trips. They stopped to take a cigarette break inside the moving trunk with our clothes and mattresses. And they broke half of our dishes, damaged our bedroom furniture, scratched a 42 inch tv in the middle of the screen, and damaged a number of other possessions

Showed up a half hour late but still charged for the time they were scheduled to be there. Over estimated the last hour by 45 mins. They were there 1.5 hours and charged me for 3. Fast and friendly but prepare to pay through the nose, it will cost you almost double what you figure it will.

A terrible experience. Was quoted 120 an hour. Then came back with xtra charges for my treadmill. Which they said was heavy..they had it taken apart in pieces..still in my basement in pieces.. also said my fireplace was too heavy so Xtra for that. Said they started at 830...my place was a 25 minute drive.. I was charged for drive time..they didn't get there til 9:30. Finished up at 4 pm..I was charged 1250...I had the truck. Had all the items boxed up....they took constant cigarette breaks also..three guys there.. one did very little ...they just loaded in my brother's vehicle and a 29 foot UHaul. I have requested my receipts twice now and cannot get them.. I would not recommend them to anyone

Awesome service! Called they came in half hour. I just moved to St . John's needed help unloaded a UHAUL and packed into a 10x10 storage unit. Within 45 mins the job was done and way neater then we could ever imagine. Saved our backs and our relationship lol...I'll be calling again when we find a home to move into. 2 weeks later I called to get moved into our place here. They came in a half hour. 1.5 hours later I was completely moved in. This company come highly recommended by us. Thanks again guys!

Over charged me almost double quoted price after they spent a half hour literally laying down in the truck then disappeared for a while from my new house. They also did a bunch of damage to my old apartment and I lost my damage deposit. I tried to complain 5 times and wound up arguing on the phone with their employees.

I hired this company to move my belongings and when they showed up they smelled of alcohol I had to watch them so my things didn’t get damaged I don’t recommend this company to move your furniture

On time, efficient, courteous, and handled my belongings with care. However, I was charged more than I was quoted; 3 guys showed up instead of 2 (which did make the move faster), 30 mins added for travel time and a surprise charge for a piece of heavy equipment (that I clearly mentioned when booking the appointment). Still a fair price, but would have appreciated more clarity when booking.

These guys showed up a half hour late, they were fine getting everything out of one apartment but when we got to our new apartment that was completely redone only two days before they had our walls and floors all beat up. They refused to take apart one of the beds and ruined our door frame trying to shove the bed through it, then told me they couldnt and wouldnt get it through so I had to fight with them to do their job and take it apart, then afterwards they refused to put it back together and had broken several pieces making it extremely difficult for me to put it back together myself. They didnt wear steel toes and didnt put any mats down, so they were putting themselves at risk of injury which the company could've turned around on us and our floors were filthy afterwards. They also charged us for the half hour they were late plus two hours for the hour and a half of work they did and a half hour travel fee which was jot part of the quote as well as adding tax even though that also was not mentioned in the quote, they insisted we pay in cash and couldnt provide a receipt and got ridiculously defensive and upset when we contested the price. When I called to complain about all this I was basically ignored, their boss' response to them not wearing steel toes was that they move stuff all day and they cang wear steel toes. Correct me if I'm wrong but that's exactly the time to wear steel toes. I never got a call back about my complaint or compensation for the overcharge or the damages to our new home and our furniture and after a few calls they wouldnt pick up the phone for my number. They are also listed under multiple names and numbers online most likely because of all the absolutely horrible reviews that they get and deserve. These guys are a bunch of crooks, DO NOT CALL THEM, they will rip you off, break your stuff, ruin your house and are just overall rude, dirty people.
