Unfortunately, the supervisor for the Kingston branch was extremely unprofessional and unhelpful. He had overbooked the movers and they were 3.5 hrs late. The actual movers were nice and worked efficiently but obviously overworked. When contacting the supervisor about the ETA, he would make empty promises of the movers being there in 5 mins when it was hours before they actually came, he even hung up on me. Definitely not worth the money. And when I sent an email with my concerns, no response. Would not recommend.

I would rather give this joke of a business a zero. Absolutely appalling. They arrived 2 1/2 hrs late, even though they originally said earlier than the scheduled time. They were not following protocol regarding the pandemic such as wearing masks with one refusing to wear on when we offered. Same mover then argued with my spouse because he was reported to the company for refusing mask, and proceeded to blame them for losing his job. Rather than continuing to move, his coworkers decided to stop working while he continued to argue and gaslight my spouse. They then tried to refuse to move furniture, or would keep stopping to ask how to move things. Maybe they need to actually do their job instead of arguing, playing the victim and throwing the blame on a customer for their poor, unprofessional behaviour.

Yes they were late, but once they arrived the guys did an incredible job moving. So polite, courteous and fast. They packaged up all our things really nicely and securely. I just can't say enough good thing about the movers themselves. The company is a little disorganized, but it's also the cheapest by a long shot and the move itself was fast and well worth every penny.

Metropolitan Movers significantly underestimated the cost of our move. They arrived 2-1/2 hours late, and charged me for extra labour as well as a full last hour when only 1/2 hour of work was done. I sent a comprehensive message to their customer service department, and received NO response for 4 weeks. I offered to commit to use them for a planned second move this year, if they responded to my feedback, to my satisfaction. Still no answer. None. They do NOT care about customer service, and they misrepresent the cost of their services. I will never use them again.

Very disorganized admin. They seem to have been overbooked and rescheduled for 2 days later. Not dependable if you rely on moving out by a certain day. 3 hours late for the actual move. Movers were very friendly. There was also an error in the billing which we didnt learn about until after we had sent a payment (perhaps they should send the bill later on in the day after it has been properly tallied).

Extremely disappointed with the service we received overall. The gentlemen that arrived were nice, however they were inexperienced. They arrived an hour late and did not have PPE or proper moving equipment. No dollies, straps or tools to move furniture were brought, even though quote included details of large appliances. As a result boxes and totes and appliances were moved one at a time causing a longer move (charged by the hour). We had damage to furniture and property also. I brought my concerns forward with shift supervisor as well as noted concerns on final invoice and was told to file complaint online. I followed claims process as outlined regarding damages and was advised that owner would be resolving, however after 30 days we have not yet received any return call. We waited to follow up after the 14 days and so far our emails and calls are ignored or directed to different agents each time where we are advised the issue is being looked into. I will definitely never be utilizing this service again and recommend that others avoid the headache.

I'd like to give this company a 0. Movers were 4 hours late, did not bring and refused to wear PPE as per covid guidelines. When I booked the move I explained in detail what was being moved and that we had cats so we would clean as best we could but could not guarantee cat hair free status. I was told that was fine. Movers did not listen to what needed to be moved, tried to refuse fabric chairs with some cat hair on them (and then said no one working has an allergy to cats). They were not made aware that there was a bedframe to take apart despite that being included in the booking. They also took a break when they arrived despite not having done any work yet. When everything was finally loaded and we were on the road, they took a turn off in the wrong direction and thus arrived an hour later than we did to our destination. When unloading they kicked and threw our boxes despite them being marked as fragile. Upon opening boxes today, several things are broken. My booking included insurance but I doubt I'll be reimbursed for broken items based on other reviews.
