Moving can be a stressful experience, however the guys from Capital Movers in Kingston came through for us. In spite of a slight delay getting the full-size van into our driveway in Seeleys Bay and the power failure midway through the move, they worked hard to get everything loaded. Aided by miners lights and headlights , they managed to get the truck loaded. Unloading in Port Colborne went quite smoothly. We felt bad for the crew because so much had to go into the basement, but they took it all in stride. Thanks to all for a job well done.

We move to Kingston in May and have all our stuff at a storage in Gananoque. The moving cost from Mississuaga to the storage is less than $1500 (but we rounded it off to give tip to the driver and one assistant). Now we want to move our stuff from the storage to the house we bought. We called Capital Movers and schedule for a move. Today their "consultant" called us and gave us the quote of $500/ hour with 12 hours work needed that will amoun to $6000! How could a move from Gananoque to Kingston take 12 hours?!?!?! All our stuff are properly packed by our previous mover. I called their office to verify difference of the rough quote they gave me of $275/hour. I was just told that the "consultant" has the proper knowledge of pricing... It's a joke! I'm not moving my stuff from Gananoque to Kingston, Jamaica! Just sharing this experience to let people be aware of their modus. I didn't use their service.

Was given a quote for a 1 bedroom apartment for $1,333 to be taken to glenville storage off 38..... The quote estimated 6 hour labour without boxing or wrapping ... excuse me ? This is just outrageous. If your a professional moving company and have been for years how were you able to please your customers? Unless you just felt the job wasnt worth your time .. which is highly likely and very poor customer service. The dispatch lady on the phone was fantastic and was the only reason I went with the estimate booking. Thanks for your time but I'll be looking for a company that looks to please the customer first. Would never reccomend this company

During another Covid lock down, it was the folks at Capital Movers that made our move possible from Brockville to Chatham ON, The price came in right close to the estimate which is difficult to do remotely. Bianca and everyone we dealt with by phone at the office were wonderful. They listen to your needs. Adam is an employee that would be a true asset for any company. His crew of Jason and Blaine had our belongings carefully wrapped and loaded in record time. All the while adhering to Covid precautions and procedures. A respectful group of gentlemen who also have great senses of humour. That is such a good thing during people's stressful moves Adam also delivered our belongings to Chatham along with Keimoir. A 74' truck was pulled up in front of my house and blocked my driveway, plus the driveways of three others that share driveways. I was asked if I wanted to move my car. When I preferred not to do so, I was told that they would block my driveway anyway. I was then told that I wasn't a very considerate neighbour by the mover. I was also questioned as to how I moved in without blocking my neighbours. I said that I had the truck pulled into the driveway as to not inconvenience those surrounding me. Just an overall rude attitude that I find the most difficult to deal with as a seniors living in my own home.

The crew showed up on time and were very diligent about ensuring the safety of the furniture and the house. They were polite and friendly and clearly knew what they were doing. Capital Movers just completed my in town move within Kingston. Tony and his crew arrived on time, explained everything, ensured all the floors were covered and took extra care in moving furniture without damaging anything as well as wrapping all big furniture in blankets. They were very efficient in the loading and unloading, very friendly and the final bill was just under the estimate. From the first phone call to the final unpacking, the moving experience went really well. To start, the meeting with Roger relieved much of the stress involved with a move. And after that, he was always available to answer any questions I had. The packers arrived at the appointed time and Kathy and the gals did a great job packing everything in sight ! and later unpacking. Everything arrived in good condition. Ed and the movers also arrived at the appointed time. Large pieces were covered with blankets, things were moved carefully, and runners on the floors meant that the house was left very clean after they were finished. At the new site, they were very patient when asked to change the placing of a piece of furniture from one spot to another. In all, a very professional job. All the people involved were efficient, friendly and helpful. And the final cost was lower than the estimate which is nice too.
