United agent Bates Moving in Salisbury, Maryland did a fantastic job for our inter-state move from Maryland's Eastern Shore to southeast Virginia. The preplanning, estimating, delivery of packing supplies all went smoothly, as did the actual Moving Days. Our full house required two vans and Bates went out of their way with staff re-scheduling and overtime to provide drivers and helpers to make sure we were out of one and into our new house on schedule. Highly recommend Bates!

Great service, friendly movers. They were at our house on time for pickup, and did exactly what we wanted them to do. They arrived a couple of days late, but that was because of weather. The unload went well also, and the workers were friendly and courteous. They even offered to come back in a few weeks to pick up our empty boxes.

Unlike broker companies that give a quote that doesn't reflect the actual cost or service, the quote was binding. It came in thousands of dollars under a competing company. The service from start to finish was very professional. We were packed up, moved, and unloaded by United. The packing process took all day and the two guys were so hard working and diligent. The moving truck arrived one day ahead of schedule. Everyone was courteous and professional. They helped us move existing furniture that was left behind to another room and then moved everything in and put it all in each designated room. They were very grateful for the lunch and the tips.

Even when I added items to pack, no complaints and had all but one of the items I’d asked them to put in front of the storage unit once furniture delivered. Almost got taken by rogue movers and so happy I changed to United Van Lines. I do not hesitate at all recommending them to anyone.

Horrible, horrible company. Lost some of my items during the move. When going through their process denied any reimbursement, although I checked box stating "ALL ITEMS NOT RECEIVED". They say I should've itemized what was missing. With over 400 asset tags, that would've taken a week while the driver waited. Just insane. No one replies to a call request, all email replies are standard pre-existing replies. This move was almost $13k, and they can't even treat you like a customer. You are the enemy after they collect their money. DO NOT USE.

She worked with me when I had to extend my date out. When my furniture arrived to my new destination I had one piece of furniture that was broken. I reached out to Joyce and Crystal sent me the information to file a claim. That claim was resolved very quickly and a check was sent out in the mail very quickly as well. We utilized United Van Lines in our recent relocation from Louisville, KY to Bryan, TX. We contacted several relocation services and settled on United. The folks at the Louisville KY office were professionals from the Sales Rep who provided the quote and recommendations to the entire moving crew. From the day they started packing our home to the delivery at our new home, these people were first class. I could not recommend a better service. We incurred no damage to our belongings and the delivery crew placed our items where we asked them to. As anyone knows who has moved before, the process can be very nerve wracking. United Van Lines took a lot of the worry out with how they managed things. I whole heartedly recommend these folks for any move and plan to use them in the future should the need arise.

The move coordinator was thorough, precise, and always available to answer our many questions.. The packers and the movers were professional, effective, and careful with all of our possessions. The long-distance hauler communicated regularly with us and delivered our things exactly as promised. All in all, this was such a positive experience that I would wholeheartedly recommend United to family and friends.

I do NOT recommend hiring this company. When we moved and our stuff arrived at our new house, our couch was damaged. There are rips on all corners. We submitted our claim with the company and it was denied. Once the truck was packed and loaded at our original location, they required a signature with no explanation at all. It was our first time moving and we did it through my husbands company so we did not think we had anything to worry about. We were wrong. The movers marked all of our items as damaged and broken without our knowledge so they would not be held liable for anything. When it came time to unpack and unwrap our couch, there was damages everywhere. We submitted our claim and they will not take responsibility for it because the packers scammed us and lied on the paperwork. The couch had mud all over it and you can see that it was clearly dragged on the ground. We are highly dissatisfied and we are left with not only a damaged couch but also the feeling of being scammed. I do not recommend this company.

Everything was great, placing the order, pickup crew were great, the delivery service was a bit more questionable. The delivery crew arrived an hour before scheduled time (fortunately someone arrived home just prior to them getting there) then they argued there was not a second drop off. After all was settled they were helpful and made the second delivery without any more trouble. I would definitely look at using United Van Lines Movers if I had other moving needs arise.

The price was comparable to my other quotes returning to Florida but I had such a positive experience prior I had to use United again. My items are missing they can't locate them. From STL to Texas. Please run do not use this company. They lost all my furniture. I feel like all my items were lost in a fire. Valuables they could never replace. It's July 30th and I still don't have my items and they don't have a clue as to the whereabouts.

We moved two households from Chicago to Dallas, and United Van Lines was exceptional from our first estimate, scheduling and loading of our things in Chicago to the unloading and assembly of our things in Dallas. They communicated with us every step of the way. They arrived on the day and at the time they said they would for loading the truck. They arrived in Dallas on the date they said they would, and went above and beyond with the care they took in handling our household goods. Nothing was broken or damaged in the least. I have moved more times in my life than I can remember. I have never had such a nightmare experience with a moving company than I have with United Van Lines and its affiliates. From the person doing the estimate not listening to instructions from me to making commitments that were not honored, they are untrustworthy and have no concept of customer service, let alone caring for the property they are moving. Nearly every piece of furniture has been broken or damaged. Dealing with their insurance is a nightmare, and even escalating the issue (as this amount of damage is WAY beyond normal) to the Office of the President, you just end up getting the brushoff. If I had to choose between using United Van Line and leaving all my property behind, I would leave everything behind. Given the thousands of dollars of damage and the actual cost of the move, it would have been less expensive to buy all new furniture and household goods. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Our household move from Colorado Springs to North Carolina with Johnson Storage & Moving, a partner of United Van Lines, was expertly, sensitively, and creatively managed and executed. Estimator Justin won our contract by being the only rep among 3 major van lines to say, "I know our drivers" and that they could get the big van up our 80-yard gravel driveway--backwards--while the other lines' estimators said they could not do that and a shuttle process would cost an extra $1,200. The United driver did this on his first try. Wow. Move Coordinator Angie was pleasantly on top of things every step of the way, before, during, and after our move. Our packers were careful and thorough: the only damage was when I dropped one of my wife's little Christmas tree earrings during our unpacking and stepped on it! Driver "Big Al" brought superb team-oriented movers who meticulously prepared our furniture and worked together really well to move our stuff carefully. Their dedication to careful work on stairs with our huge dressers was as impressive to watch as it was successful at both ends. Smiling, joking, sweating under big loads, and not only pleasant but polite to speak with, I liked these guys. After a 30-year Air Force career moving around the world, and supervising a lot of team efforts, this was the first move we paid-for ourselves--and it was also the best move we've ever had. Yes, I do recommend Johnson Storage & Moving of United Van Lines. If I didn't mean it, I wouldn't say it.

Couldn't be happier with the experience and service that we experienced with United Van Lines (Armstrong) moving services out of Birmingham, Alabama. The overall price was much better than any other quote I received, the load and delivery was exactly as estimated and quoted, and the 3 men that loaded and unloaded our 5 bedroom house did a phenomenal job with zero items broken and no walls scratched! This included (unfortunately for them) stairs in addition to taking apart a pool table and treadmill in order to remove them from our upstairs rooms. I would certainly recommend Armstrong/United Van Lines for any long distance moves without reservation, and I would gladly use them again if I should have to relocate. A+++ job, thanks for making our move as flawless as possible!

Please check mine out. I would never ever use this company again. I would not recommend United Van Lines to anyone. They damaged over $3000 worth of my property. They offered a settlement of less than $300. This company is a joke. Save your money and your property. Go with someone else.

Ace Moving was great. The previous reviews I read and the reason I chose them was because of excellent service. And they were not wrong. There are many horror stories about movers and this was not one of those bad ones but a really great one. Wonderful people doing a wonderful job. Our furniture was packed professionally, and moved with real care from the house and loaded onto a truck that looked like it could hold the state of CT in it. We were given a 10 day window and the process of matching our things with perhaps one or two other loads was explained to us. Every piece was marked and checked off the list which we were given and felt like we were signing off at a closing there was so many papers to sign. Within the 10 day window our driver called and gave us the arrival date. Again like loading they laid out runners everywhere there would be traffic. It may sound naive, but it was like watching a symphony, all the instruments playing together in a one well practiced and rehearsed work that came together beautifully. And that is this story for Ace Moving and for our experience with it. An award winning performance!! Bravo!

Price was competitive, move coordinator was superb, driver was terrific, loading and unloading crew were very good and both loading and unloading committed dates were met. Most excellent teamwork.

Terrible movers I moved from st louis to Las Vegas and tens of thousands of dollars was damaged or lost I lost my 500$ airpsoft and they damaged my computer so bad I had to get some new parts they lost my microphone and I had 2 1000$ pit bikes and those were lost my 9000$ dirtbike and damaged all of my furniture Terrible moving company I definitely do not recommend.

We paid for the move and now they're trying to extract more money from us months later. The agent who came to help us with our move inventory missed several items including a Sleep Number Bed. The day of the scheduled move, we expected a team to come out and pack large and/or bulky items. This team never came. The driver and loading team helped us by packing things. Some of those boxes never arrived at the other end. Months after we moved, this company sent a bill for something (no description was included so we have no idea what the charge was for.) Now this company is threatening us with a collection service. I'd recommend you consider other movers.

Everyone from Liberty Moving, United Van Lines was very professional and pleasant. I was very comfortable having them handle my personal possessions for a move from New York to Florida. From the estimate, to the scheduling of the pick up, to the delivery everything was well coordinated and well communicated. Ben did an outstanding job of explaining everything to us about the process and was able to give us a quote amazingly quick. He also followed up after the sale to make sure we had everything we needed. Jenny did an outstanding job of keeping us updated during the process and made sure our questions and concerns were addressed. Her coordination helped everything get done on schedule and without problems. Our driver, Freddy, was outstanding and great to work with. He made us feel very comfortable during this stressful time. In my move, I was multiple times punctually contacted and informed with clear and specific information, with indications, compromises and dates. All the process was clear for me and the established due dates were fully accomplished till the point I was even receiving proposals which gave me the opportunity to anticipate some days and finish my move early. All the staff was very knowledgeable since the very first visit they made to my old home to evaluate all the things to be moved. The guys who were physically packing all my stuff were very experienced and careful and even making recommendations about the best way to do it. Everything arrived in good condition. I was just giving indications about what to put where. From time to time, I did not fully remember what was packed in some boxes but the system the movers had to identify each box was directing me to find all my stuff easily.
