Hired for a move from Mississauga to Nova Scotia. They quoted, and promised delivery under two days, unloading at destination and fixed price unless they were delayed by poor weather. DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY YOUR CREDIT CARD. They were late by four hours to load the shipment, and arrived with a truck that was too small to accommodate the full shipment despite us giving them our overseas shipping manifests and a comprehensive tour of the two storage lockers days in advance. Because they were late, my wife had to leave to catch a flight before they finished loading. They promised an additional truck to take the load, but it never arrived. Our shipment sat in Ontario for over a day on their truck without us being informed. They charged our credit card on several occasions without our authorization and without informing or sending copies to us, $5,000 over a period of one month, and then prepared a false invoice without informing us to MasterCard to justify their charges. They also attached my signature from the original estimate and pasted it into their reply and justification to MasterCard. MasterCard supported the shipping company's argument, and we lost our money. While enroute to Nova Scotia, they were stopped at a weigh station and fined for an overloaded truck. They spent a full day at the station trying to sort out payment of the fine, find an additional truck, and transfer part of the original shipment to the second truck. Of course, they then charged us for additional hours, the second truck rental and accommodation for the two drivers, all as a result of their incompetence. The shipment arrived four days late, and there wasn't a crew to unload as promised. The two drivers were abusive and totally incapable of unloading the heavier items. We arranged our own crew to unload, along with my son and wife. The local crew showed up (two people) almost three hours later. In the meantime, the drivers broke several pieces in the shipment as a result of their lack of knowledge of how to properly move cabinets (they dragged them along the truck bed and broke the legs). When we finally had time to check the items, several extremely rare and valuable items that we collected over 28 years in Asia were missing. We have no idea where they went. Over the next two weeks. Top Tier demanded more money, accused us of writing 11 bad reviews (which we didn't), would not reply on the missing or broken items, and slapped us with a Cease and Desist order from their paralegals. They also accused us of blackmail but wouldn't explain why. Now, we have been charged outrageous charges to our credit card, had to cancel the credit card during our move when we had to buy a large number of appliances for our new house, are missing several extremely valuable items from our memories overseas, and were constantly threatened and misled by the company. You decide if you want to use their services. Update: This guy is a crook. Don't use him. The company read our review and demanded that we take it down. They also threatened us with legal action for libel.

I would like to thank Micheal from Top Tier Moving for helping to coordinate my second move within a year. The expedition of staff went very well, the packing and moving of my personal belongings went smooth. The challenge in all moves today would be the downsizing in homes. Top Tier Movers were professional and careful with very sensitive objects, in the tightest of staircases. The wrapping, packing and unloading were a feeling of safety both leaving property and taking possession of new. As for the one day move was exactly equivalent and consistent with both of my moves. I recently got my household goods moved from Whitby, Ontario Canada to Beaumont Texas. The rates were reasonable and the service was satisfactory. There was some holding and storage involved due to delay in border crossing but I was kept informed at all times . The crew that finally delivered my luggage in Beaumont were super good and friendly. Overall my experience with Top Tier Moving was good and would definitely recommend this company for your moving assignments.

completely shocked with moving services provided in March, while estimated time and size of the truck were one, they provided smaller size truck and the "crew" of inexperienced, injured and hardly able to communicate guys, which resulted with close to twice the estimated quote, let alone the damages to the furniture, piano, the walls, doors at the new place, just don't consider them as serious partners in moving services business, AVOID this company, they don't deserve even a single star

YOUR COMPANY DOES NOT RESPOND TO E.MAILS...….. Ray This was the worst move ever. We were quoted by a representative who visited our home ( Mike) . He saw everything we had including garage items. $1,400.00 . We had everything packed and ready to go to Innisfill from Newmarket. They sent a 26 footer. The day of the move we were told that's the largest truck available, we said it looks to small. They looked over the house items and proceeded to move us saying it will all fit. We new it was not all going to fit, they did not even get the House items in the truck, never mind the garage back yard items per the quote. So then were told to get a friend with a truck maybe or it will be $139.00 extra, turned out to be ($700.00) extra because that was hourly. So it was $2,100.00 maybe more to move 45 min away. They didn't think it would take more then 8 hours to move a 2,500sq three floored house when quoting. It didn't all fit. When arriving back in Newmarket for the balance of our stuff thats when we were were told $700.00 take it or leave it. We had no choice after arguing on the phone with dispatch and Mike over the extra price on a cell phone 8:00 at night in the street, putting my wife into tears. They had the nerve to talk over her and argued with her. Then the movers proceeded after about a 30 min delay waiting for dispatch to confirm. They just through everything left In the house and Garage, not packing properly and again left items we had to go back for in three trips in my car. Don't QUOTE what you can't do and then rem the customer who is already stressed out. VERY DISSATISFIED CUSTOMER. CLAIM processed Nov1, 2018 still pending Feb 15, 2019. No one has even looked it yet. We did get a $175.00 offer in cash a month ago which wouldn't cover the Labour. I have several e-mails saying their going to fix it but still waiting. They complained because I sent an e-mail a day, trying to get this resolved and my property fixed. It takes 1-2 months sir. well it's now going on 4 months. October/2018 Claim I am submitting a claim for damage to my New Garage Roof (Siding, Soffit & Shingles) caused by your truck driver who was parked and off loading when he for some reason half way through, he wanted to adjust the position of the truck for offload, on October 25, 2018. Instead of pulling forward to adjust he went straight back into the corner off my Garage as you can see in the pictures, even with three people yelling at him. That's why you have mirrors also. I would like to give them zero stars if possible.The biggest mistake of my life that i choosed to move with top tier moving. They were late by 2 hours and didn't even pick up calls. Totally unprofessional movers didn't know how to take the bed apart. When i asked them to wrap the furniture. They were using dirty blankets to protect my furniture. At the end Michael charged me twice the amount as quoted. When i asked he just hung up on me and no call back from them. Cody gave the wrong estimate and then over charged me. All my stuff is scratched and damaged. These guys are scammers AVOID AT ALL COSTS if you care for your belongings. If you want to save your time and hard earned money. Theh are day time thiefs. Looks like all the 5 star reviews are either posed by themselves or their well knowns. I would never recommend them to anyone.

The worst experience ever! We booked this company over a month before our move. They did not confirm the date with us and we had to call ourselves to confirm a few days before the move. On the day of, they didn’t show up. When we called them, they said they are running late and they kept pushing the moving time the whole day. At 10 pm that night, they wanted to start the move but we were too tired from waiting all day so agreed to postpone our move to the following day. When the movers came in the next day, it was a completely different company who showed up. They probably had to outsource the job as they overbooked their movers, most likely. This is speculation as we were never offered an explanation. The movers expected us to feed them lunch. They actually asked for us to buy them pizza! We were in disbelief. To top it off, Top Tier’s agreement indicated we were to get wardrobe boxes. We kept asking all day about it and the movers kept assuring us it will be provided. When the whole house was loaded, we received a phone call asking us to just load our clothes in garbage bags, which we had to do ourselves! They even had to Uber the clothes as they did not properly assess the required space in the truck. When they unloaded in the new home, the movers took little care of our furniture, damaging some cushions and leaving some furniture dirty. In the end, we didn’t even receive a call or apology from Top Tier Moving & Storage and no offer of compensation for the situation. I will never recommend this company. Beware of what you are quoted. This company overbooks and outsource their jobs. Very disappointed. UPDATE: After posting the review, Michael from Top Tier reached out to us right away to offer his apologies and hear out our concerns. I have to say, he took ownership of the issues and offered us compensation for the trouble and damages done because of the move. Also, more importantly, we can see that he is trying to resolve the problems to make it a better experience for future customers. Michael turned it around for us and we have a changed view of the company moving forward. Well done Michael!

Bait and switch. Quote 1 price in the ad then add ons start when they show up ( 2 1/2 hours late). By the time they toted it up the price had tripled. Paid them about 50 percent more than the quote, they took less than half of what we wanted moved and worked for about an hour and wouldn't unload until the $$ was in the account. Also go by names like SSH & Fast Movers. Beware. All in all a terrible experience. Nice way to treat seniors. Can't NOT recommend them enough.

HORRIBLE COMPANY. *PROOF PROVIDED* I am in court with this company due to complete damages and a month and a half late arrival, they do not have a bank account, they do not have a truck, they ship through 3-4 different companies it is not a direct company, and they will list your items value to the lowest possible so when you do go to court you cannot fight for anything more than $100 value literally. - AS STATED IN THE ASSET INVESTIGATION "5-5266 general road Mississauga failed to identify any information related to the corporation. the subject does not appear to have been a tenant in this unit" AKA THEY DO NOT HAVE A PLACE IN THE ADDRESS PERIOD. We are a mother daughter who got screwed over beyond belief by this company, MIKE is a nightmare. Better off paying more and dealing with a professional ONE move company. A third party movers whom we had no idea who they were called us saying Top tier hired them and they had our stuff and its damaged before giving it to us they warned us, and showed us pictures PRIOR to loading it. We had 56 thousand dollars in worth of items, which the court says they listed as UNDER $3000 value, UNDER not even $3000. I did a background check which I paid $700 along with my lawyers fees to find out they have NOTHING to their name. I am more than willing to send this to anyone who is in court with them, or requires it you may email me at yourmindyourchoice@hotmail.com. Also attached, they may have changed their names to "STRONG MOVERS".

The reviews for this company were far from the experience I had. Cody provided the quote, and Michael was the coordinator. Despite their assurances, it was not a smooth process. They contracted out our account to another company, as they must have been overbooked, which may have been the cause of some of the issues. It took a lot of last minute effort from our end to ensure that some packing be done prior to the move (disassembling beds, etc). This other company was not aware of the agreement we had, which was laid out in the contract. Multiple issues arose, but the major remaining issue was that "unpacking" was requested, agreed to and paid for (funds for the entire move were charged to the credit card more than a week before the move), and was never provided. I received an email from Meredith in their back office agreeing to a refund for this, 2 weeks after the move. This was one month ago, and multiple emails and a phone call were not returned. Aside from the money that seems to have gone to waste, we were left having to assemble our furniture and unpack ourselves. My wife and I are both seniors, and had it not been for our children to help us, I don't know what we would have done. The discussion with Michael to sort this out was not cordial. I cannot recommend this company to anyone in good faith.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND AGAINST HIRING THIS COMPANY. They showed up on time, however that's where the positive feedback stops. Proceeded to spend 4 hrs doing 3hrs worth of work (people moving single items at a time, ect). Once the truck was full packed, they gave me a bill, with an extra $700 of charges on it, and showing a 11hr charge for time. At this point they had been present at the house for 4 hrs (5hrs taking into account travel time). I was told that they would not move the truck until the fees were paid in full. They literally tried to hold my furniture hostage, and inflate the bill by about $1000. After telling the manager that we would not be paying the fee and proceeding to have the crew begin to unload the truck, we finally came to a reduced price ($700 reduction). Again, I am told that I must pay the amount in full in advance of the job being completed. This is completely ridiculous and services are always paid for after completion. Foolishly I choose to pay them (after more threats of not delivering the product) and the movers begin to move the products. Once we get to the drop off location, they begin dragging the furniture, dropping it, and damaging it. Two desks are damaged with broken legs (they would not remove the legs when advised to do so). They even left some of the furniture out in the rain without properly bringing it inside. Horrible experience, horribly unprofessional, workers that have no idea how to move furniture or have any regard for the condition of what they are moving. We will be pursuing this further with the companies insurance policy. If you plan to hire this company, DONT. And if you must, confirm ALL additional costs (above hrly rate), confirm the payment terms, and confirm that payment is to be completed after the move is completed. Brutal.

SCAMMERS! Top Tier charged my Visa twice, the second charge being a mistake, which Michael admitted to and agreed to refund. I got no response from this company for 13 days, despite many phone calls, messages, emails and two visits to their shady office. it’s only after I sent them a ministry complaint notice, did they respond. But still no refund. After almost 2 weeks of no response, I requested a full refund. Their response was vague at best with no indication of a refund. Even more disturbing is when they sent me an invoice, which I had never seen before for the second charge on my Visa – the same charge they admitted weeks earlier was a mistake! I have records of all this, so I have contacted the Better Business Bureau. If you’ve had a similar experience I encourage you to do the same, it’s really easy to do. It may save someone else the headache caused by this unprofessional and troubling company. I chose this company based on their reviews, but after a closer look It’s curious how the majority of these great reviews were done in the same month, in winter… interesting. I organized this move on behalf of my Mother who is unwell, which I communicated to Top Tier. So, I’m really surprised that this company would take advantage of someone in her condition. It’s shameful how this company treats people, especially seniors. ***RE: TOP TIER RESPONSE*** I requested first refund 22 days before move & cancelled 9 days before move. I have my emails to back it up. Further, I inquired about their cancellation policy because I saw none in writing and was never informed of one verbally - I got no response. No need to keep lying TopTier, just clean up your act.

I won’t recommend this company to anyone. Please save your time and energy and don’t even ask for a quote from this company. First of all this company gave me a flat rate to ship my goods from Toronto to Saskatchewan, then never delivered my goods. My items were picked up from Toronto on August 25,2018 and I still haven’t received them. Someone from their office kept lying to me that my goods are in transit and will be updating me with the ETA. After two and a half months, I came to know from Michael and his office team that my goods are still in storage and they were never shipped from there. Their phone lines never work, nobody replied to voice mails. They reply to emails after 3-4 days.... my friend posted a bad review few days ago after knowing that how frustrating it is for me... Michael contacted me within an hour after posting the review and told me that he will do something to ship my goods (may be by contacting another moving partners that they deal with) and was suppose to call me last week. He also called me twice to take the review down.. otherwise He never called back. I waited for another week and today I received another email and asking me to pay extra money to have my items shipped or I should wait even more. Ridiculous service!!!! I’ve been waiting already for almost 3 months now and now they are asking me to pay more or wait even longer... I advise everybody again!! Please don’t waste your time and money. This company isn’t trustable...

We booked Top Tier Moving for our move to Calgary. They were the highest quote but our sales person Mark was very transparent and helped us with any questions we had. Overall, very good experience. We needed movers last minute. So we filled out an online request a quote. Got an inventory sheet to fill out and within 1 day everything was booked and ready to go. Got all terms, sent and everything explained before hand. The movers them self were very nice and hardworking came with a big truck too. It was a very long day 10 hours in total. Which we ended up paying the hourly rate. We just started to unpack right now and its killing us lol. Thank you, Top Tier would recommend.

Top Tier moving helped me with my recent move. During the move I had booked another movers who cancelled Last minute and we were literally stranded with our stuff outside as we had to hand over the key to the new owners. We called around and everyone was taking advantage of our situation and charging us exorbitant amount of money. Michael was the only one who was very empathetic of our situation and helped us move and had the best rates. I don't think I would ever use anyone else now if I ever need to move again except for Top Tier.

SCAMMERS! 0/10- WARNING! DO NOT USE THIS PEOPLE! not business ethics at all. - Moving Services Moving & Storage review in Mississauga 3 months ago We hired Top Tier (operated by the same owner(s) of former Porter Moving & Storage) for our move on July 28 and they’ve literally left our lives in complete upheaval. The movers were supposed to arrive between 8-10 a.m. They didn’t show up. We started calling Top Tier and didn’t get a response from anyone right away. When they called back they started making excuses galore: “they didn’t have the address correct, the crew left Mississauga at 9:30 and should be there any minute”...the time kept getting pushed 12, 12:30...by 1:00 pm we realized we were being strung along and that no crew was coming...we were arguing on the phone with them all day on what was supposed to be a hassle free move. They ended up sending in a third party crew at 4:00 p.m. When that crew arrived, the first thing they said to us was that all of our stuff was not going to fit in their truck. We started calling Top Tier again...got no response. Only some of our contents were moved and were being offloaded at midnight. Not what we signed up for as a family with two young children. We tried to get a few hours sleep and were back on the phone with them first thing Sunday morning to see how they were going to move the rest...we got an ETA of 4-6 pm. We advised this was unacceptable and they said they’re working on it...to no avail. 3:00 pm rolls around, we call to get an update and are told the crew is finishing another job around 5/6 pm and will then get to you. That’s when we lost it and removed ourselves from being completely taken advantage of. We ended up having to rent a truck and move the rest of our items between 8 p.m. - 12 a.m. on July 29. The promised crew contacted us close to 9 p.m. Top Tier has made our move HELL. What was supposed to be a 10 hour move, allowing us to move our home on Saturday and unpack on Sunday turned into an absolute nightmare of more than 36 hours and counting. AND AFTER MY POST I RECEIVED A THREATENING CALL, telling me they have influences. I AM NOT TAKING MY POST DOWN!! Ashley

Worst possible move I could have imagined! Two of the three men were incompetent. Took twice as long as promised, truck was too small, damage to my furniture. General Manager did not care about my concerns. 2 day later...This review got a response that they will look into this, which is bizarre because I have already been on the phone and email with Management, further displays of incompetence. 1 more week later...Email threatening me with legal action if I don't remove this review, trouble is the email is not from a lawyer. By the way, you can't sue someone for telling the truth.

I recently purchased a home, and the prior owner used Top Tier to move out. Top Tier damaged the house, admitted responsibility, but have not fulfilled their commitment to repair the damage. Fix my house please, or provide me a cheque to do same. Very responsive in first days after the damage. Then, no responses to my recent communications. Again, fix my house please, and I will remove this post. Your files are incorrect. Your 'contractor' only applied an epoxy patch, and poorly I may add. I've since sanded and painted at my expense. Be reputable. Send a cheque. The work's done now.

Hey guys, I just want to start off with a very big thanks to everyone in the Top Tier moving team who played a key part in making my moving day a major success ! When the sales rep came to give me my quote he caught me off guard by dropping off 20 boxes, some shrink wrap, tape, and mattress bags. It's no secret that moving day can be a huge stress but Top Tier definitely took the weight off our shoulders. They showed up on time ( movers were positive ) any problems I had were addressed, furniture was properly wrapped and they had all necessary equipment !
