First I would like to say that of all the people who work at Bond relocation, Kim Thompson is a sweet and genuinely caring person. However the rest of the organization does not seem to care one bit about he customer or damage to a customers goods or property. I have been dealing with Bond relocation for over 2 months regarding damage to walls, paint and stairs in my new home. We witnessed the damage with our own eyes as the delivery workers moved the furniture up the stairs. I have personally reached out to Bond more than 2 dozens times via phone and email and have gotten the run around every time. Being told the same thing over and over, we will look into this and get back with you ASAP, guess what ASAP never comes. I have heard the story over and over, we are down to 2 workers and such and such is out sick or so and so is out and we cant handle your issue at this time. Also did I mention that they were almost 2 weeks late delivering my shipment to start with . My entire family had to sleep on an air mattress and eat take out for almost 2 weeks and take our clothes we did have with us to a laundry matt while they held my good and clothes hostage due to not having a driver to deliver them. Guess what if you don't have a driver, don't take the job and charge me the 8,000 bucks. And to top it off damage 11 pieces of furniture in the loading or unloading of the move and then walk away like nothing was wrong. WORST company in the world to deal with. If you are ever approached by or call on your own a Mayflower sales rep named Rick Harris in Tupelo MS and attempt to hire Mayflower just know that it will be subbed out to a local company called Bond Relocation or Williams Transfer and Storage. I can tell you first hand don't waste your money using them as you will regret it. I am still fighting 2 claims that Mayflower is trying to not pay due to damage to property and Bond is not trying to repair the damage to a brand new house we moved into.
Mayflower took care of our move from Portland Oregon to Idaho falls Idaho. We had no broken anything, nothing was lost, the driver was proactive (actually shipped a few things I didn't intend to ship, my fault though not his). Our stuff was delivered 2 days sooner than expected (a huge plus!). They did a great job of protecting our floors, corners, walls, etc. They overcommunicated and made sure we were taken care of at every step. I've heard nightmare stories about moving companies, oro move had none of that!
Recently a Mayflower – Clancy team moved our large household goods shipment across the country (from CT to TX). The move was executed with great care on both the packing and delivery ends, with hand selected crews that were diligent, courteous, and polite. I was amazed that we experienced not a single scratch on any of our high-end furniture and no loss of any of our belongings whatsoever. Mike, the driver, communicated with us, in person, and through texts and phone calls throughout the move, letting us know the status and location of the truck transporting our belongings and making us feel completely comfortable from the moment we met him to our final handshakes at the delivery address. I would highly recommend Mayflower – Clancy, especially Mike and his exceptional crew.
Very polite very helpful did a wonderful job
Our 800-mile move went smoothly overall. Good communication beforehand and during move. We appreciated the same two staff at both pick up and delivery locations. Two other helpers were hired locally, so there were always four men busy tagging, wrapping, and packing (or unpacking) the furniture and our many boxes. Everyone was very accomodating, friendly, and helpful during an otherwise stressful situation. There are a couple of things we were not too happy about, one being that the boxes were often piled too high on the dollies so that a few times they came tumbling to the ground during fast maneuvers. Also, we found that no one paid the slightest attention to the "Fragile" stickers on some of our boxes. One box in particular got pretty smashed up, inside and outside, with small parts of delicate equipment having come detached and lying loosely in the bottom. We did not notice it for a couple of weeks and then did not report it. How can you put a price on hobby-related pieces of hand-crafted items? Other than these two complaints, we would recommend Mayflower to other prospective customers. We were warned beforehand by their competition that Mayflower was known to estimate moving costs on the low side and then charge additionally at delivery, but that was not the case. We did, however, add the cost of moving extra boxes to our estimate because we thought that the estimate for those was on the low side.
Moving experience From Mass. to Florida with Mayflower agent: Brookline Transportation was easy. Alan Centofani and the whole staff were professional, understanding, kind and answered every question immediately. Their communication from start to finish was appreciated and made the move easy. The actual mover/driver was amazing in his professionalism and making the day of move free from worries. Received several phone call to ask how the move went; if we had any questions; to let us know when delivery would be. Upon delivery; once again the driver and delivery was exceptional. After the move we again received a phone call to make sure we were satisfied with the delivery process. This was a trouble free move from beginning to end.
I received a subpar international moving experience through on of Mayflower's sub-contracted companies, Daryl Flood. Upon notification of Daryl Flood that I would be using their services, it took 11 days to be contacted by their international coordinator, despite the companies knowledge that it was a short turnaround to my actual move date at the time (22 May contacted for a 5 June move). This included dumping multiple packets of paperwork on me, with very little or vague guidance, which ended up holding up the entire process. Unfortunately, the actual crews working the goods acceptance and delivery were excellent, but the mid-level staff were terrible, and did not convey what is expected when it comes to an international move, as a company should help the customer navigate the complications of moving abroad from the U.S. This was compounded by continued attempts by myself to contact the international coordinator I was assigned to by phone, only to get email responses instead of a returned phone call. I am an experienced mover, having relocated multiple times while in the military. After advising Mayflower of the situation, they took the complaint but have not responded, making me think they just don't care. So if you want to pay top dollar but receive subpar service, avoid Mayflower or it's sub's for any of your moving needs. I did more work than the company did, and I paid them.
We had a long move from California to Colorado recently and the costs of that kind of move can be a lot financially and mentally! I spoke with Mayflower as my Aunt had recently used them to move from Florida to Texas and had a good experience throughout the whole process and their costs are reasonable. I also had a great experience using Mayflower from the man who went through our home to give us a quote to the friendly driver that was in contact with me the entire move. He was on time and had our things to our new home almost before we arrived! They unpacked and had everything in order. It made this long stressful move much more at ease and I would absolutely recommend Mayflower if you are making a big/small move across country!. Thanks for a great experience.
Very professionally operated start to finish. I would recommend Mayflower Moving to anyone who may want a professional to move their personal belongings.
The movers were very clean and professional, and both the packing and moving happened on the stipulated time. I honestly just have two small complains: 1) the staff was only approachable via email though, so the communication can be a bit slow; 2) there was an issue with my billing which lead to being charged an additional amount, this was recognized by the staff, however it took some time to get resolved. Overall I would hire them again.
The driver Brian and the loading and unloading crews were great. We're happy we chose Mayflower for our move from WI to AR.
Start to finish a very professional and trust worthy experience. I would recommend Molloy Movers of LI who are associated with Mayflower highly.
Lots of things missing and insurance coverage was a joke. Answer to all of our documentation was “not on the original inventory, sorry. They packed our entire house in about 5 hours. No way for us to check that everything was inventoried. Bread knife, $600 pressure steam cleaner, two furniture dollies, boxes of Christmas decorations, discovered at Christmas time a year later. Major scratch in our most expensive piece of furniture. NEVER EVER, EVER WOULD WE USE MAYFLOWER AGAIN!!!!! Insurance finally gave us $250 for “customer relations “. Terrible
Randomly placed items in mislabeled boxes. My favorite examples include the hedge clippers with the extension cord and a circular saw with books. They also treated my property poorly in general, breaking many items and leaving EVERYTHING I OWN worse than before. About to start the claims process, so I have no opinion of it yet.
My company used Mayflower to relocate us and everything went smoothly. Our move was handled very professionally from door to door!
Mayflower did an excellent job of moving us from St. Louis, MO to Monument, CO. There was no damage to or loss of our belongings and the movers were careful, professional, and generally very nice people, even helping us decide on furniture placements in our new house. Well done Mayflower!
Terrible. We are military family moved to alaska. They destroyed heirlooms and furniture due to careless disrespectful packing. We've moved many times, all over the world, and this company has outdone itself in lazy disrespectful treatment of our goods. Heartbroken. FIND ANOTHER COMPANY! YOU WILL REGRET THIS ONE. Period.
Contacted customer service in two different ways starting a week ago based on highly unprofessional action by their agent including violation of laws, and have received no courtesy of reply or assistance in resolution.
Overall was a great experience. From the video quoting option, to the scheduling, pickup, care of my belongings, and the final delivery- the entire process was communicated very well, and timely. Completely happy with the entire process. Thank you!
These folks moved me from southeast Florida back to my former hometown of Lexington, Kentucky. They did, literally, all of the packing, loading, moving, unloading, and unpacking for me! Every one of their employees, from beginning to end, knew exactly what to do with, for, and about their role in the process. They were all also quite respectful, courteous, upbeat, and even humorous. I highly recommend Mayflower for your moving needs!!
This company employs people that falsify documents and forge client signatures in order to place blame on their clients for broken, smashed, and damaged furniture that their movers actually damaged. Most of our furniture arrived completely smashed as if someone did it deliberately. They hire criminals to go into your home and move your belongings. DO NOT use this company!!
I can accept issues with something as complex as a move. What I cannot accept is an organization's unwillingness to speak with a customer about those issues. It has now been over three months since I requested an opportunity to speak with someone about my move and everyone keeps telling me someone else is responsible. I requested the supervisor of one individual 4 times and she would never give me the person's name or contact info. Once I found someone who said they could resolve it, they went radio silent and I haven't heard from them since. Very frustrating. For what was supposed to be a top quality service provider they have been horrible. I'll will be sure to tell everyone I know to stay clear of these guys.
Great experience. Very professional. Very friendly. Not one problem moving from New York to Tennessee.
Great Service all the way around. Our move was via the Pod/Container type of transport and it was easy and very affordable. Will definitely recommend this company to my friends in future for their moves!
Timely, careful and good communicators.
Our daughter and family moved from Seattle to Sacramento and had a terrible experience. They weren't sure they would ever see their belonging again. Until they were put in touch with Rose Olsen from Olsen and Fielding Mayflower and immediately, the moving van with their items showed up. We decided to follow them to Sacramento and didn't think twice about which company to use. Rose Olsen was held our hand throughout the entire move. We managed to fill 13 units making this a large move. We had wonderful movers in Seattle, and the same in Sacramento. All the while, Rose was helping us out, answering questions and offering encouragement in addition to providing skilled and experienced staff. If you want a trouble free experience, Olsen and Fielding Mayflower are the people to call - ask for Rose!
If there service is anything like there drivers I wouldn't have them move anything for me .
Mayflower is okay if you don't mind some of your belongings not showing up. At least they are pretty good about paying you for them later. The driver was a good guy but they hire random people to load and unload the trucks.
Mayflower / Chipman Relocation was so easy to work with, from the intial quote to the last box delivered! They offered a virtual inventory tour where I walked them through my place, telling them what was going and what was staying. I opted 'crate' shipping so they could guarantee a delivery date and they were on time and within 15 minutes of the beginning of the delivery window. At every level - quote, packing, updates, and unpacking, the staff was friendly and helpful. Great job all around!
Tom Roan and his staff were excellent! Everything was clear, they were helpful before and during the move; the moving and packing staff was excellent! We needed to make our move at a difficult time for them, but with flexibility on all our parts, the whole process seemed rather effortless. I highly recommend them.
the price was competitive, the packing was excellent and timely, the loading was systematic and timely, the delivery was ahead of schedule which was very helpful to me. the followup was excellent
Quick response to my questions, I felt well informed, movers were good and nice. I had an issue with the TV stand so I claimed it... got my check back in less than a week. Will definitely use again when needed.
Great Company Smooth Move The moving guys were excellent were careful with my belongings.
From the salesperson , driver and help both in New York and Florida were amazing. They made my move so pleasant . Everything was handled with care not one thing was broken . I would recommend them anytime .
On time and very professional.
I used Mayflower relocation services two times. They are extremely professional in transaction and every thing was hassle free. I am thankful to their local agent Armstrong in Milwaukee, they accommodate my urgent transfer request and schedule within two days. My overall experience was very satisfactory and i will surely recommend them to others.
We were pleased with our move from FL to NH. Sorensen & Associates were very accommodating and the move was flawless. If the rating was 1-10 they would get an 11. From the Estimator to the Packing Person to the FL Loading Crew to the Long Haul Driver and his NH Unloading Crew you couldn't have asked for a better move. Thank you all.
Put me at ease right away. Everything went just how it was supposed to. Nothing lost or damaged. Everyone was professional and kind.
Mayflower did an excellent job moving us from Michigan to Florida. We couldn't be more pleased with any aspect of the service.
Rude experience and horrible drivers. This crazy driver of theirs drove all over the road, cut a bunch of people off, then started flipping off multiple drivers. I'm not sure if she realize their business information is on the side of the vehicle either.
Despite having a few things broken, overall it was a positive experience. The most cost-effective options were explained, the estimate was done virtually, which was very convenient and my things were delivered when they said they would be. Everyone affiliated with Mayflower was very courteous and professional.
The move was $2k more then the quoted price. The mover was unprofessional, damaged multiple walls. When delivery occurred they attempted to give me someone else's furniture and failed to unload all of my boxes. I have not even replaced everything that was lost and it's already cost me over $1k.
I was extremely pleased with the service. All of my possessions arrived in perfect condition. There was a continual open line of communication, all issues or potential issues were seamlessly resolved. My expectations were exceeded! Thank you again for a stellar performance!
This move was wonderful. The coordination at both ends, beginning to completion, was great. Our Move Coordinators were also wonderful. Thank you! We will consider Mayflower again if necessary.
Awesome service, on time, very professional, took their time. Very satisfied!
Should actually have negative stars. BEWARE OF MAYFLOWER MOVING IN EARTH CITY - do not buy their boxes as they are not the cheapest in town. They charge the customer that they are moving for boxes and then keep those boxes when they unload them. Then they try to sell them to you for over 75% of the original cost of the box and they say they will buy them back from you but they do not mention that they only buy them back for 1% of what you paid for them.
Our Ford F 150 was supposed to be delivered by 5/18 to California. It was picked up in Georgia on 4/30. Well, it's been 3 weeks and Mayflower an AC White Transport cannot locate my truck. It might be in Florida----- they are not sure. "Check back on 5/24" DO NOT use these people to ship your vehicle! I was also told that I would be refunded $50 a day for every day it was late. Now I'm told that I would only be refunded if I rented a car. Scary transport practices!
Everyone involved in my cross country move did a great job. From Frank Rose of Rosemont Mayflower to Angel Cardoza who drove our furniture and managed the pickup and delivery. Frank's original weight and cost estimate was amazingly accurate. They actually sent me a $3 refund. This was my first time hiring a moving company, and have heard all the horror stories about mishandled furniture and lost boxes. Not here them tag everything with numbers and provided full list at pick and then delivery. They made this huge job easy. I give them AA++.
Moving with Mayflower was a positive experience! It was easy from start to finish. Appreciated an affordable quote that had no up charges at destination. I recommend Sunflower and would use them again.
I would never use Mayflower again! We packed everything except one item that was not replaceable. The lead mover said he would pack it and keep it safe. Well - it turned out that he wrapped it in an old moving blanket and stowed it unsecured in the bottom of a wardrobe box. When opened it was destroyed! I filed a claim with Mayflower and they said they did not pack anything and I had no claim. I contacted the local company we dealt with in San Diego and they did nothing for me, even though I asked them to talk to the lead mover who packed the item. In addition, every single piece of wood furniture had dings, scratches and chunks from being shoved around carelessly in the truck. It was obvious from the condition of the over 100 boxes they moved that once they were out of my sight they were not careful with anything we owned. Never again. Update due to Mayflower's public response: No one at Mayflower seems to be able to read properly. THE TOTALLY DESTROYED OBJECT WAS NOT PACKED BY US - IT WAS PACKED BY A MAYFLOWER EMPLOYEE! THE FURNITURE DAMAGE THAT I DIDN'T BOTHER TO FILE A CLAIM FOR WAS NOT PACKED AT ALL AND WAS IN PERFECT CONDITION WHEN THEY CARRIED IT OUT OF MY HOME. I am so done with this! No help, no decent response - just the same rhetoric over and over again. Thanks (not) for your customer service.
Excellent and seamless moving experience from beginning to end! Outstanding customer service. Highly recommend!
Having Mayflower handle my out of state move was one of the best decisions my husband and I made. A big thank you to Mike Orlin, Janyce, Jacob, and Team Bismark for giving my husband and I less stress while we continued to work, and travel and prepare for a move. I would recommend giving these guys a call when you are planning to move.
I had a very good experience with Mayflower and would highly recommend them. They were on time, very professional and hard working. Also, 'Chris' (I dont know his last name) the driver from Atlanta was really great at his job. I also received excellent service fro Barb Edwards and Pat Gipprich from Arrow moving. I've had a few bad experiences with moving, but Mayflower is by far the best.
One of the reasons we decided to hire professional movers is that we have a full size console piano. We further thought that a major company like Mayflower would have a piano dolly. We were completely wrong; Mayflower does not own a piano dolly. The movers arrived in an unmarked truck with two men. Nobody told them that there would be a piano to be moved, so we had to wait another 90 minutes for three more workers to arrive. I asked if they would be using a piano dolly, but they had no idea what that is. Instead they tried to man-handle the piano, setting it down on the ground outside several times. We made it a point to clarify with the Mayflower estimator the details of the move. The estimator told us that the movers would use a piano dolly, that our upholstered items would be covered with plastic, and that we would be able to track online the location of our furniture as it moved across the country. These were all lies. The movers did not use a dolly. The movers did not even bring plastic, in fact one of the sofa cushions was placed directly on the dirty cargo truck floor with no protection whatsoever. We never had any idea where our shipment was until it showed up at the destination. The shipment arrived in horrible condition. All the boxes were severely crushed, the end of a large office desk was pushed in and splintered, one leg of the piano was broken, the handle on the recliner was broken off completely, and another office desk had damaged edges on two sides. The workers at the origin warehouse in El Paso had transferred our shipment from the cargo truck to wooden crates. The gorillas who made the transfer jammed each item into the crates with such force that it was as if they were purposely trying to cause maximum damage. The wooden crates were delivered to my destination on a flatbed truck. The fork lift operator who loaded the crates had some facing to the left and some facing to the right. Unloading would have been simpler if all crates were facing the same side of the truck. The driver of the flatbed truck did not park in the street to unload. Instead he drove over the landscaping and parked on my property. This not only left ugly black marks on the concrete but also left nails and debris in my yard from the unpacking process. Service and delivery vehicles should always park in the street. The driver at the destination was an experienced mover who explained in detail to his helpers how to hold furniture and how to angle the pieces to fit through narrow spaces. The driver was also curt, impatient, and short-tempered. The driver tried to get me to sign the receipt paperwork before everything was unloaded. The proper procedure is to unload and unpack everything before asking the customer to sign anything. The unpacking was not completely finished because the driver seemed to be in a hurry to leave to take care of some type of personal business. The load and unload windows provided by Mayflower seem to be generic values of two days to load and 14 days to unload, without regard to actual scheduling, logistics or workload considerations. I was never notified when my load left the El Paso warehouse and I was never notified when my load arrived at the destination warehouse. Near the end of the window I was called to schedule a delivery date after the window expired. I asked for a time of day, and they called back and changed the delivery date to the last day of the window. I found out later that my shipment sat for about a week in a warehouse about 10 miles down the road from my destination. I never even knew what company was in possession of the shipment at any particular point or why Mayflower was not handling the move. I never saw the name Mayflower on any truck, container, or uniform; although the name Mayflower appeared on some of the paperwork.
Very efficient and professional team. They keep you informed at every stage of the move. Great experience.
Everything went smoothly with our move. The people we dealt with locally were quick to answer our questions. On the day of the move, the truck arrived on time and the two men were very competent and nice. They drove our things from Michigan to Massachusetts and delivered everything very expertly 5 days later. They called us before picking up and delivering our things. The reason why I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is that they slightly damaged one of our chairs, but aside from that, we were very pleased with the service we received from Mayflower and would recommend them to anyone.
Great experience. Everything was timely and nothing missing or damaged and delivered when promised.
The packing crew was much better than the unpacking crew. The unpacking crew showed up late on the last day and was in a great hurry to get out if there. This made me very upset and uncomfortable.
My move went okay the drivers moved quickly to load my boxes into the truck when they arrived. But once my stuff was delivered I received 2 boxes that weren’t mine and I’m guessing someone else received 2 of my boxes. I contacted Mayflower on several occasions and sent them pictures of the boxes. They were supposed to have them picked up? Well needless to say they were never picked up and it’s been over a year now and I never received my 2 missing boxes. I moved from California to the East Coast.
My wife and I were very happy with the service provided by Mayflower in our move from our location in Maine to central Florida. The crew was efficient , professional and very helpful. We have no plans of moving in the future but would use them again.
Horrible experience. Crushed boxes and damaged luggage. Brand new Uhaul boxes crushed and unusuable. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves. Would you trust a moving company who puts fragile boxes on the bottom of the load? I'm sure making a claim will be just as good as how they loaded my boxes on the truck. Reported the incident by phone and email on 8/19, was told I would receive a damage claim. The damage claim came 8/22 after I had to ask for it again by email. According to the claim, you have to keep boxes for up to 9 months so they can be "inspected." I'm just thinking, why would I want to keep 100 or so damaged boxes around for 9 months? Yes that's right more than half of all of the boxes were damaged and need to be kept for insurance purposes because photos don't do justice. Quite honestly I should have video taped the whole truck and how they packed it. 8/25 Haven't heard anything from Mayflower since receiving my claim paperwork. You would think they would call to apologize after seeing photos of how the truck was loaded and damaged boxes but it doesn't seem to appear that way. I would rate this as poor customer relations on Mayflower's part. Update 9/6/16: Well, no word yet from mayflower, not even a courteous call. Highly disappointed with their customer service. Would not recommend if this is how they treat people.
Outstanding service from initial contact through the follow up of delivery. The corrdinator keeps you informed and she is in constant contact every step of the way. The movers were professional careful, and on time for both pick up and delivery.
Everyone was wonderful! Cece! Michael! Everyone!
Very professional. They made our retirement move to North Carolina very easy. Thanks.
My moving experience with Mayflower was excellent. They provided a reasonable price and superb service on a relative short notice. I would use them again and highly recommend them.
Our move went extremely smoothly especially considering we moved from Florida to California and were downsizing. Everyone we worked with was knowledgeable, informative, and each person went out of their way to make things as easy and painless as possible! Great experience!
I moved from CT to WA and had accumulated a significant amount of "stuff" after my 26 years at the CT residence. The Mayflower personnel assigned to my move provided me with piece of mind from their initial arrival at my house, through the entire process. The 3 Mayflower associates handled my possessions with great care. The packing was exceptionally robust. They functioned efficiently and effectively.
This is the best moving company ever.. Go thru VIP transport in Corona for your scheduling.. They are amazing.. so friendly and on point..
We were provided a Move Team in Panama City Beach, Florida, who packed us and loaded the truck - that same Move Team arrived at our new destination in Dakota Dunes, South Dakota, and unloaded the truck and helped us unpack. They also hauled off all the boxes and packing materials!!! Excellent Job!!!
The move itself was pretty seamless from our first contact with the Mayflower sales person till we signed off on the actual move into our new home. Correspondence was great from beginning to end, Mayflower personnel were courteous at both ends and to date we have found no noticeable damage to our belongings. What more could you ask for? Very satisfied over all with Mayflower and their personnel. Special thanks to Rick, Jackie, Bob and most of all to Holly.
They were very careful and wrapped my furniture so that it wouldn't get damaged. The crew was very helpful and eliminated some of the stress of the move.
Did a fine job. Few scratches here and there, but everything arrived intact.
We contracted with Mayflower/Sullivan to move my parents from Arizona to Connecticut. The entire experience was excellent from the initial estimate visit to the packing, car transport, truck loading and unloading. Everyone we dealt with was professional and respectful of our property. Everything happened on the schedule we were given. Rich was great to work with. Linda did an excellent job coordinating the schedule and Bill and his team did a great job with the truck loading, moving and unloading. I recommend them without reservation.
They are a great company to work with. The employees are totally professionals, but also they are super affable and pleasant. I have used them for 5 moves and all of them have turned out super! Lastly, I will use them for my next move. Period!!!!
We had a wonderful experience with this company: they were punctual, helpful the very Organized and kind staff. The the only thing I could complain about is that they did lose a few items. But we were reimbursed pretty quickly for the loss.
Mayflower did an excellent job moving my mother from California to Virginia. Their communication and professionalism were fantastic all along the way. They were patient with my mother who was very nervous about the move. I highly recommend their services!
I was very apprehensive calling a moving company, but after some research and a few other quotes I decided to go with Mayflower. My nephew and his wife had used them for a local move and highly recommended them. After entering a query with them I was contacted almost immediately by Scott Relocation Services. An estimator made an appointment with me to thoroughly review my needs, answer my concerns and questions and inventory my belongings. I was given the option to pack myself, or they could do that for me. I decided to pack myself. I only recommend doing so if you have plenty of time. As my move date approached, they reached out to me to make sure I declared my high value items, which did not add to my price. They also scheduled my driver, crew and time to begin loading. From the moment the crew arrived I was impressed with their professionalism. The driver arrived with a massive truck and began organizing everything. I was completely comfortable - they protected the furniture, the house (flooring, walls and trim) and all of the packed boxes. My belongings arrived one thousand miles from their previous home unscathed and on-time. I had the same great experience on the other end. The unpacking crew worked seamlessly and left me with furniture reassembled and placed where I directed. I would recommend Mayflower without reservation. It was a great experience.
Very good, constant communication. On-time delivery.
Would have rated a 5 however, a couple of items were damaged and cannot be replaced or repaired
The crew at Malloy Mayflower were great! Very professional, courteous, efficient and timely with all that we had to move on either end of the move. I would recommend them in a heartbeat.
Everything was seamless--with the exception of the 10 inches of snow that arrived at the new location 12 hours before the furniture was supposed to arrive. The schedule was quickly reworked; we were immediately informed of a revised delivery date; and all went extremely well--no thanks to Mother nature, but kudos to Mayflower and to the entire staff that worked with us.
Stevenson Transport (Mayflower) out of Ottawa, IL handled my move from IL to TN and did an outstanding job. They met with me at my home, took stock of everything that needed to be moved and gave me several options/prices. They promptly packed and loaded my belongings on the days I requested. I was concerned about the delivery though because I have a long narrow driveway with no place to turn around a large truck let alone a tractor trailer. Stevenson opted to use a standard truck with only my load on it and the driver, Alex, did a great job of backing the truck down the driveway during delivery so no turnaround was needed. I was called in advance of the delivery, they arrived at the scheduled time and had everything unloaded and set up in a matter of a few hours. The whole move went smoothly and was stress free. I highly recommend Stevenson Transport to anyone needing expert professional movers.
Mayflower's Clark Movers out of Spencerport, NY (Rochester metro area) were a pleasure to work with. I needed to move 8 pieces of furniture from one state to another. The national mover that I had previously used for an interstate move declined to take on such a small load. The "small load" mover they referred me to eventually admitted that they had no presence in either the pickup or delivery area. Clark was the only one of 4 movers I contacted who sent out an estimator. He arrived precisely when he said he would and provided a written estimate as well as a helpful packet of information. The estimate was within dollars of the other company who provided an estimate without seeing the items - and about 30% less than the "small load" movers. The estimator and the office staff's work to expedite the paperwork and the scheduling of the pick up was absolutely trouble-free. The pick-up went without a hitch and the delivery was equally smooth. The homes and furniture were all treated with respect and care. I still can't figure out how they managed to hold off the snow until the last item was safely loaded onto their truck the morning of the pickup or how they scheduled delivery of the furniture on the only sunny 60 degree day that February in Cleveland, Ohio! I had been having nightmares about the possibility of snow and ice impacting both ends of that move! I would unhesitatingly recommend this organization.
Everything went smooth with our relocation No surprises All involved professionals
Great overall experience! Move was scheduled and e executed in timeline we established. Professional, courteous, and no hidden fees...price quoted was price paid.
My moving experience was wonderful. I would recommend Mayflower to everyone. My sales person was amazing along with the truck driver and all his staff. Time frames were all met as promised and my belongings were packed so well, delivered in perfect condition. I did have a vase that was scratched but does not affect my rating. I interviewed other companies and was so worried until I met Bill with Mayflower, he made me feel at ease about the move....everything Bill told me was exactly what happen. My truck driver, his wife and all his helpers were equally as amazing in making the move worry free.
We had a great experience working with Clark Moving in Rochester, New York. We were given a reasonable estimate for the move. We did all of our own packing which helped with the cost. The day before our move the moving truck driver contacted us with an estimate of time he would arrive and then called us again the morning of the move. The driver arrived promptly, did an overview of what was to be moved. The crew arrived shortly thereafter. All our furniture was carefully wrapped . Our belongings had to be shuttled up to the moving truck as our road would not support such a large truck. The driver and crew worked quickly as a team to remove all the furniture and boxes. We were lucky that are belongings made it quickly down south. The driver again called to let us know when he would arrive. The crew arrived and unloaded the boxes, unwrapped, and set up all our furniture in 3 hours. We were really pleased with the whole experience.
Excellent crews from packers, driver, unpackers, great customer service rep.
Great team helping me move from Ohio to Arizona. Entire process was seamless and professional at all levels. I would highly recommend Mayflower to move any home. Best mover I’ve ever used.
Stecher Moving (Mayflower), Dubuque, IA provided outstanding service in our move from Illinois to North Carolina. I highly recommend them!
Alan and Sara were awesome to work with. Trustworthy, genuine and communicative throughout. Would use them again!
We moved from Rochester, NY to Denver using Clark Moving (Mayflower provider). First of all, the driver and crew foreman was great. Both the loading team in Rochester and unloading team in Denver were efficient, polite, and moved our possessions like they owned them. Good communication throughout the move. Would highly recommend Mayflower.
The pick up crew in Rochester NY were outstanding. They hustled and were very careful with our belongs. And most of all there were very courteous. Mayflower arrived in Maryland on time and as expected. The driver / supervisor did the best he could with a less than stellar delivery crew.
The movers were courteous and nice. All my items were delivered in good condition. Though the delivery date were overshot by 2 days, the service was great
My move from TX to FL went very well from start to finish. I was well pleased with Scobey Moving and the service they provided, as well as my driver. He arrived on time for the pickup, and delivered within the time frame that was promised. I had no damages or breakages at all. I would definitely recommend Mayflower.
OMG I think I hit five stars and it should be minus five! They were hired by United Van Lines to move us across country! P/U went fine but delivery not so much! Lost items ( of course we can't prove it) but you can't miss a marble rolling pin or a ceramic Christmas tree that your sister made ( who has since passed away) really can't replace.....and they want to replace a cement goose with a plastic one, not cool or fair! Low balling everything and this truck refused to come into complex backed out onto a busy street and transferred our belongings to another truck? I think things were broken in the transfer and everything didn't make it off that truck and I will say that till the day I die! The driver didn't even have the decency to come into the complex to finish his load! Not very professional at all! Very sad with the whole experience and will never recommend them to anyone! ????cracked lamp and crushed shade! One of a pair of lamps? Cracked goose bottom and neck, cracked glass!
Great service, hassle free. highly recommended!
If I could give zero stars I would! First, they rescheduled our loading date without clearing through our military move coordinator. They then would not answer their calls. They didn't adequately plan for the size of our move and decided it would be acceptable to put our household items on a lift gate attached to the OUTSIDE BACK END of the moving truck. They placed items like mattresses, box springs, and other indoor items outside the truck to sit for a cross country move. I told them this was unacceptable and so they removed the items and claimed they would return in 2 days to pick up the remaining items. When contacted Monday they said they would arrive ANYTIME BEFORE 3 pm. Being military we only have a short amount of time until we need to report to the next duty station and now we are delayed 3 days. I've never been more disappointed in moving service and I don't have faith my belongings will arrive safely or in a timely manner. If you have a choice DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE!!!!
We had an interstate move and used Mayflower through Sorensen movers of Melbourne FL. From the very beginning, to unloading the last box at our destination, the service was exceptional.
Outstanding company did everything they said they would do plus some !! Couldn’t ask for better people to move me.
After 19+ moves this one ,by far, was the best. I highly recommend Mayflower for your next move.
Great experience and everything promised was delivered and more. I would definitely use again and recommend to friends!
They shared our private information. They left expensive glasses in our kitchen cabinet. When I told them about it they basically said it was my fault for not double checking to see if the movers forget anything.
Dealing with United (a part of Hollander/Mayflower) was nothing but the best. This was a 600+ mile move and I got my belongings in the promised 4 days. From my former address to my current address everything was taken care of so professionally. The estimate was spot on and the estimator even came to my house prior to the move to help me box some odd sized items. Can't say enough good things about this company after hearing so many horror stories from family and friends. I give them ☆☆☆☆☆ stars on a five star basis.
Our from Grosse Pointe, Michigan to Williamsburg, VA went perfectly! The team that loaded in Grosse Pointe were exceptional, they cared for our furniture better than any other move we have had. They unloaded in Williamsburg and never blinked an eye when told that much of the furniture and other items either went to the lower level (down stairs) or the upper level and attic (up stairs), they were fantastic I can't say enough about how great a company our mover was.
Mayflower is great! They load some of your things on one truck and even if they have the space they will call for another truck to take the rest of your stuff. AND They will break your stuff and will not do anything to make things right.
The movers were friendly, professional and did a great job. And ours was not an easy move, as it required a smaller shuttle truck both to load at our old house, and unload at our new.
From the first visit to identify my belongings to be moved, through my several changes of my inventory and paperwork (and subsequent lowered cost), to the care taken during packing, the loading, and finally the unloading of my possessions, Mayflower staff were patient, helpful, professional, and attentive. They guided me through every step of the process of my cross-country move, answering all questions and offering insight to avoid any confusion. They made a difficult transition smooth and problem-free, even taking care to have my valuable artwork specially crated. I strongly recommend this company for anyone's move, however near or far.
This is the fourth time Mayflower has moved us. Twice interstate moves. Ed Scott our sales person did a good job. However, when we arrived in Vermont the pick up moving persons were third rate and when we they lost a painting worth several thousand dollars, there was no real support or help in locating the item. In all the moves I would rate it as a downhill slide. Scott Ross
