Absolutely inefficient availability and quote system. Impossible to speak to a person to make any inquiries about a move. Call the business number... leads to prompt to visit website "for availability and quote". Website directs you to fill out a form (SELECT YOUR MOVE DATE), check off what is getting moved. After doing so - again, with the date my Dad was looking for - we got a quote on a Friday morning; one sentence indicating the total amount, no further instructions on how to book. Any reasonable person might expect instructions on what to do next, and perhaps I would do well to purchase a crystal ball. Anyhow - the very fact that the date we needed was AT THE TOP OF THE FORM would indicate that with a replied quote, the movers were indicating that they were in fact available. Nope - after a cycle of unanswered calls to the business line/cell line/and a series of written "communication" that unraveled quickly - turns out they are NOT available until 3 weeks. After reading these reviews I'm not quite sure how people booked these movers... anyhow - after attempting to explain my frustration to the business directly with their "availability and quote" system - their response was that they "seem to be doing fine". All I can say is that if this sums up their customer service model (or even booking procedure), then we may very well have dodged a bullet...

Good service! Their truck broke down while moving the client before me but Big Boys stayed in contact while they arranged a new truck. They were a little late but let me know what was happening so I understood.

We used Big Boy Movers to move over to our new home. We were really worried about getting movers to move our things because of all the negativity you hear these days about moving companies. This was our first time dealing with a moving company and we’re happy to say won’t be the last time. We went back and forth with them in terms of getting a quote and everything was spot on in terms of communication. When our moving day came we found out the movers were not only professional but were were as effective and friendly. They didn’t waste any time and ensure they wrapped our furniture and moved them carefully. Not a single item was damaged in the move. We got them to move all the furniture and heavier boxes and left some things behind to move on our own, which is our only regret. Would have been super if we got them to move everything. They placed the furniture in the new house according to our liking. Overall we had a great moving experience and would definitely recommend Big Boy Movers to anyone to is looking for a moving company!

I arranged my move with big boys movers about 2 weeks in advance through email, after they were recomended to me by a friend. The crew showed up at 0830 and we were moved into our new home by 1130. The guys never scratched dinged or dented a single wall or piece of furnature, they were very profesional and great to deal with. Great value for money i would highly recomend Big Boys Movers over any other moving company in town.

???? Very professional movers!! No damage to anything. They had me out and into my new place in 2.5 hours. Very reasonable pricing. They have their web site designed for you to easily tell them what you’re moving and you get a reply quickly with the cost. They set a price so there’s no hidden costs. I booked in Feb for a move on May 1st --- it was confirmed but the mover kept asking me to move it to the 30th --- I was not able to and he kept coming back with April 30th and I stated May 1st --- 24 days before the move I am told he is not available until May 5th saying I confirmed for Apr 30th, which I did not. He is now saying that he did not confirm although my emails did state May 1st

So I reached out with a phone call to get a quote. In the voicemail it stated to text directly. So I did and was advised to go on the site to do so. I tried doing that and got an error and then decided to reach out again. So sent another text advising that there was an error to call me back and got no reply. Then sent another text advising the situation and asked again for a callback and was told to go back on the website. So looking at this made me realize that they can take the time out of there day to reply to a text but can’t make the time to do some customer service and call back. Can only imagine how they will be to deal with if hired. I will go somewhere else that will treat me like a human and realize that without us they wouldn’t have a company. Do not hire this company!!!

Perhaps usefully for a simple move. After not getting back to me for weeks this company refused to breakdown exactly what I was paying for, instead made vague comments that did not answer my questions. My move needed what they described as "specialty services" yet they continued to refuse to answer plainly as to the cost of these services and what the services involved. When the added services (that I did need) more then double the original quote it is unreasonable to refuse to answer as to how much each of these services cost and what they involve. I asked clearly and plainly several times. For example how hard is it to say how much was added because I requested insurance? Or what " white glove" service entailed and its associated cost. The experience was quite frustrating. Refusing to break down costs is extremely sketchy.

There was some confusion between myself and the company as to what calling someone back meant . I am old fashioned and thought that meant a phone call. They felt sending the same text message to me twice was sufficient. As a result I went with a different company. I have heard from multiple people that they are actually really good movers. I suggest using their website and save your time calling.

These guys are incredible! I had a very difficult move out of a condo with tight doorways and 6 flights of stairs and the guys had everything out and into my house in 2 hours without a single issue. Professional, great value, and they will care for your stuff. Wouldn’t hesitate to use them again!

Because I had underestimated my total number of items to be moved; it did cost me more than the quoted price which they had given me but not much more and it was well worth the extra cost. They follow their guidelines to ensure protection and safety of your belongings. I would highly recommend this company to anyone and since my move; I have received positive comments from other people re this Moving Company. A friendly efficient service.

Three men came to the door for an unload. After assuring them my dog was friendly, I was told in no uncertain terms that "we will not enter your home until you put the dog in the washroom". Why the washroom, I don't know but that was his words. I don't understand where the lack of appreciation for my business comes from. He didn't make a polite request, claiming to be afraid of dogs but instead chose to make a threatening ultimatum. Furthermore, upon asking if he was afraid of dogs he said that he was not. Go figure. Basically, this guy just decided he wasn't putting up with any unnecessary hassle and wanted a cushy environment prepared for him to work in. They never even put the equipment where they were asked to put it. As far as they are concerned, getting it from one house to another is sufficient. It wasn't lost on me that these guys waited until they had our furniture in their possession before they got tough. No doubt if I didn't bend over for this guy, he would have driven off with said furniture and started running up a bill. Just no way to deal or negotiate with guys like this so I suggest you stay far away from him/them. I called Big Boys and they sent 3 little boys. Never again.
