I have used Metropolitan Movers Etobicoke twice. Once being for myself and the second time being for my parents. Each time they have been extremely professional, prompt, and careful with all of our belongings when wrapping them up for the move. They are also extremely efficient, moving and wrapping everything much more quickly than we expected. They are great to work with and did an amazing job. THE MOVERS DISASSEMBLE YOUR LARGE FURNITURE...THE MOVERS ARE SUPPOSE TO MOVE YOUR FURNITURE WITHOUT DISASSEMBLING YOUR FURNITURE...AND THEY WILL SEND A EXTRA UNEXPECT MOVER TO MOVE YOUR STUFF WITHOUT YOUR PREMISSION (ESPECIALLY IF YOU REQUEST ONLY 2 MOVERS). IF YOU DONT HAVE A CREDIT CARD FOR STORAGE...THE MOVING COMPANY WILL PAY STORAGE FOR YOU...AND YOU WON'T GET ACCESS TO YOUR STORAGE WITHOUT THE MOVING COMPANY. THE PROBLEM IS : IT TOOK US 3 WEEKS TO PUT IN A TV AND A BIKE INTO STORAGE (MOVING COMPANY CONVENIENCE AND NOT THE CLIENT'S CONVENIENCE). WE PAID FOR A SMALL STORAGE UNIT...I FOUND OUT THAT THEY GOT US A BIGGER STORAGE WITHOUT OUR CONSENT...AND THEY DIDN'T NOTIFY US ABOUT THE BIGGER UNIT (I FOUND OUT ABOUT THE BIGGER UNIT WHEN I WAITED FOR 3 WEEKS TO PUT IN MY TV AND BIKE INTO STORAGE..ESPECIALLY AFTER THE MOVING COMPANY MISCALCULATED THE STORAGE UNIT SIZE...AND THAT'S THE MOVING COMPANY MISTAKES. THE OWNER WILL GIVE THE CUSTOMER A REALLY HARD TIME IF THE CUSTOMER WANTS TO USE A NEW MOVING COMPANY...THE MOVING COMPANY WILL LIE TO THEIR CUSTOMERS ALL THE TIME...AND ALWAYS MAKE EXCUSES TO THEIR CUSTOMERS! THE OWNER MADE A MISTAKE..THE OWNER DIDN'T GET TO OUR CONDO ON TIME...OUR ELEVATOR RESERVATION WAS 2PM TO 5PM...AND THE OWNERS TEAM GOT TO MY CONDO AT 445PM...THE OWNER TOLD HIS WORKERS NOT TO UNLOAD OUR STUFF FROM STORAGE UNTIL WE PAID THE COMPANY FULL PAYMENT OF 1000 DOLLARS...WE HAD NO CHOICE BUT TO PAY THE MOVING COMPANY...THE OWNER BLACKMALE US TO PAY HIM BEFORE HIS TEAM FINISHED UNLOADING THE STUFF...AND WE PAID FOR THE OWNERS MISTAKES. ALL EMPLOYEES DON'T AGREE WITH THE OWNER'S DECISIONS....ALL EMPLOYEES TALKED TO THE CLIENTS SAYING THE OWNER HAVE NO COMMON SENSE...AND ESPECIALLY ALL EMPLOYEES HATE WORKING WITH THIS OWNER ! I WILL CALL THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU...ESPECIALLY THE CORPORATE HEAD OFFICE...AND THE HEAD OFFICE WILL SOLVE OUR PROBLEMS FOR THE OWNER MISTAKES! Shalin was a pleasure to deal with, he was knowledgeable and let us know how long our move will take before we booked. He was off by 1 hour but everything went perfectly. Shalin and his crew Param and Harry helped ys move from a walkout basement in Brampton to a two story house in Guelph in the month of April '21. It was quite a smooth move thanks to his crew members Param anx Harry. We did a package deal and settled on an amount for the whole work instead of hourly rates. The move started at 9 am and was completed in less than 4 hrs. Which includes disassembly and packing of furniture. Surely a company I can trust for my next move.

This moving company barely asked about the items in the house and as a result, there were a number of things left behind that could not fit into a truck. I repeatedly asked if they wanted me to give them an idea of at least the big items in the house and they did not seem interested in knowing. They just wanted to know how many bedrooms the house was. 3 men showed up and they put holes into my furniture. My mattress has a hole in it. My couch had a big hole through the bottom and a bunch of severe scratches on my almost brand new leather couch. I was at work when the move happened so I only noticed a day later when I was in my house to set up. When I emailed them, they did not respond. I had to call several times throughout the week and finally, they said that I should have inspected the furniture immediately after the move and that I had signed off on a contract that said everything was okay. They implied that I was trying to fraud them by causing this damage in my own furniture. (If that was the case, I would have exaggerated the damages in more obviously places I would think!) I did not receive a copy of this contract that I "signed". Furthermore, I paid for this on my credit card and they did not give me a receipt! Forget the fact that this company is dishonest and does not take responsibility for damages and has no idea about customer service - they can't even uphold standard business practice. It has been over a week and I still haven't received a receipt despite calling several times about it. I will be filing a report with Consumer Protection Ontario and I encourage those of you to do so as well. This company needs to be reprimanded. I tried to give a smaller company a chance despite the mediocre reviews but this will be the last time I do that. If you want your move to go smoothly, if you want professionalism, if you want customer service, and you value your belongings - choose someone else. If you're okay with paying to have a tornado dump your belongings in your new place - then okay.

Awesome movers ! I picked Metropolitan movers Etobicoke for my move from Etobicoke to Oshawa. We signed the agreement where we specified prices and conditions. I have to say, the price was very attractive and affordable. I haven't notice even a small mistake or damage after my stuff was packed and delivered. The crew was awesome, professional and careful. I had no problems with these movers and would recommend them without thinking twice.

I was very impressed by Metropolitan Movers Etobicoke! They arrived on time and were polite and efficient. Unfortunately, the conditions they worked in were horrible. The smell was horrendous, it was an apartment sized kitty litter that hadn’t been changed in the 5-6 years of rental. With cat urine and poop in most of the carpeted corners. The two gentlemen maintained their professionalism and finished the job when a moving company the day before walked away from the job, and their quote was higher. The items were handled with care from pick up to drop off. Well done Metropolitan Movers Etobicoke!

This is the worst moving company I have ever used. I dealt with the manager, Ajmal sarfraz and he was very unprofessional. He gave me a quote of $1254.00 after assessing my stuff, but ending up paying almost $5000.00 under duress! The appointment on was scheduled to be at our home in Brampton at 2:00 pm on May 31st, but they only arrived at 7pm. The movers were already tired as they worked from 6am that day. The last load was only completed at 4am and was shocked when he showed me the bill. I told him to review this but he threatened not to deliver our households. He had to go with my husband to the bank to get the money. We felt harrassed and cheated! Please don't use this company . They are very unreliable and unprofessional. Complete horror!

This company was a complete horror to deal with. If you are looking for a moving company stay FAR away. Hidden fees I experienced were for things like stairs ($50 a flight), mileage, and truck fee that I was advised was waived. If you do not have the ability to tell them no, you will be bullied into paying these fees. This company will quote you one thing and charge you something different, even calling back after you denythe first quote. I had a horrible experience with damaged furniture (coffee table), with the offer of putting back together my bed frame as compensation. When brought forward the issue/complaint, the person that runs the Etobicoke division responded, they did not even move the item. One of the movers that moved me was a relative of the person that runs the Etobicoke division, so collusion of stories in full effect. The movers also moved extremely slow and I had to stay on top of them to keep moving at all times. At the end of the move, the person that ran Etobicoke division, demanded cash or an e-transfer instead of anything paying credit. Sketchy to say the least. I was not provided a receipt, or a copy of any paper work I signed. I was advised the office was closed and i would get something in the mail. Save yourself the headache and unwarranted stress involved in your move.

I do NOT recommend this moving company. First they were more than 1 hour late, and second they didn’t even complete the job because they didn’t know how to remove the doors off of a fridge in order to carry it out the door. So we basically wasted time waiting for the crew because they were late, then they didn’t even do the job and they chose to leave instead of trying other ways to remove the doors. This wasted even more of my time. After they had left, we ended up getting the doors off ourselves, but then didn’t have a moving truck to even move it. If only they stuck around longer and were more experienced with dismantling appliances I would have given a better review.

Movers were great, but they called the morning of the move and mentioned that they had a cancellation so we're available earlier .. They mentioned that the crew would be 3 instead of 2, but we did not expect the price to be almost DOUBLE. initially quoted 500ish, the cost at the end was almost 1000. We would have waited, as it was only a one bedroom apartment move. One person stood around as it only takes 2 people to move a couch, dresser etc. For this we would NOT recommend them!
