My daughter moved last week. I got a frantic call from her to help because the company sent two unqualified movers - at $90/hr - who spent the whole day doing as little as possible. Totally incompetent. The owner showed at the end and whipped both into shape. He worked like a beast and accomplished more in that hour than the two had in almost 8 hours. He apologized profusely and refused payment, which was greatly appreciated because she actually had to hire two more people to help. She insisted that she pay for the hour he worked. He apologized again and said he was really looking to redeem himself. He seemed like a nice guy who maybe just needs to be a bit more discerning on who he has working for him. I know how precarious running your own business is. My parents ran their own businesses and always maintained that word of mouth can make or break a business. I gave 3 stars mainly because the owner immediately took responsibility and was respectful to my daughter. I wish him luck.

We had an urgent same-day request to move our new sofa up 3 flights of stairs into our apartment. Another delivery service dropped off the sofa at ground level leaving me to figure out how to get the thing up an awkward stairwell myself. Niall and Simi came to the rescue on short notice and maneuvered the furniture up to our suite. No dings, no scratches and they even offered to remove the giant cardboard box and packing materials that came with it. They are great people. We had a chat and a few laughs after the job was done too. Would definitely hire Ouch My Back again!

I wish I could give these guys a better review. Was super stoked to have their help for my move, especially after reading all the reviews from other clients. Unfortunately, the day before my move, they advised my rate has changed. I wouldn’t of minded much had I been given notice, there was plenty of time. Thankfully, I found other movers able to fit me into their schedule honouring the original rate confirmed. I would’ve much rather had these guys move me and still would, at the rate agreed upon from the get go.

We had to get an upright piano moved - we didn't realize how heavy it was, or how many stairs there were at the pick up location until we met the movers there. The guys took it all in stride, and the owners Niall and Oli came to help out. The guys were super positive, and clearly knew their stuff. They took the time to come up with a strategy for moving the piano, and it is now in our living room without a scratch. Thank you so much Tyler, Austin, Rohit, Niall and Oli - and sorry for picking such a heavy piano! As an added bonus, the company's communication was amazing. They were so quick to get back to me with a quote, and within a few hours we had an appointment booked for two days later. All in all, I am so impressed, and would recommend Ouch My Back Moving to anyone who needs anything moved in Victoria.

I hired these guys to move a hottub from 1 location to another. They showed up with 5 guys on time and went about getting ready to move it. We ran into some issues with the tub itself and it was a super tight and hard job for them, but they did it without issue or complaint. Super professional and careful. They even handled it well when my old landlord was harassing them for confidential information. They were discreet, private, and didn't divulge anything. Absolutely stellar service!! I'm not one to leave reviews but I was blown away by every aspect of their work. They arrived on time and immediately got to task. I needed 3 large and very heavy pieces of furniture moved within my house (2 up a staircase). They protected my floors and nearby artwork, didnt leave a single scratch on my walls and were impressive in their communication and strategy. Each piece was placed delicately and precisely where I'd requested. They're the 5th company I've hired to either move homes or furniture and I will forever more choose them. HIRE THEM.

I called Ouch My Back first to get a quote and I didn’t end up needing to call anyone else, because the whole process with them was so unbelievably smooth and pleasant! First off, they have the best prices in Vic, so that was a no brainer. Their managers and movers are kind, thoughtful, organized, and incredibly efficient. It was truly a delightful experience having them be part of my move. They reduced my stress levels by at least 85% haha. They took care of everything, and thought ahead about things I wouldn’t have even considered so everything went totally smoothly. As painless an experience as moving can be! Like a few other reviewers here I requested a quote on a tight schedule. Their Operations Manager Simi got back to me within an hour and was able to schedule the move for the next day, and she was great about communicating throughout the whole process (mostly by text message, which is super convenient when you're running around dealing with moving chores and can't always catch a phone call!) Joban and Tyler got my stuff loaded and unloaded quickly and safely and had no problem dealing with some less-than-ideal circumstances (squeezing the truck into a narrow driveway at my old place, unpredictable street parking situation at my new place, etc.).Will definitely be a repeat customer if I ever have to move within Victoria again.

Professional and quick. Booking was very easy as well. The movers Harsh and Tyler took good care of all of my items. One fragile box accidentally got squished a little but no damaged. What impressed me is that they made sure the items (even though they weren't valuable) weren't damaged before leaving the site. Would use them again for my next move.

We had all but given up on getting our lazy boy sofa in through a very narrow and covered doorway and he was able to get it into the living room with upmost care. Terrible experience with this company. Damaged 3 pieces of furniture, told me they would repair the damages but never did. Didn't wrap any furniture to protect it during the move. My follow up phone calls with the company were very poorly handled as the brushed off my concerned but were quick to demand their money. Will never use this company and will never recommend to anyone

I was searching for a reliable moving company that would move a large and heavy specialty item that needed care in doing so. Right from the first call (which wasn't easy to find a mover that even answers) they were super friendly, helpful and professional. All their staff are that way I discovered, which is a good sign. While their hourly rate was maybe not the rock bottom rate at other places, you can count on this company to be there for you and to have helpful, polite and clean cut movers to get the work done. You can tell they treat their staff well and, in turn, they care about the work and the company and you. I also confirmed they pay their employees well so I'm then happy to pay for that in the resulting hourly rate the company changes. Tyler and Harsh were the two employees that I had for my move and they were fantastic. They were friendly and polite and they listened attentively to my instructions and needs and did a careful jjob, and were quick and efficient. Thanks all!

But, in Jan, I was left hanging at the day of moving as none of the people I found on FB for packing,moving and even cleaning, showed up. I was devastated and couldn't find any moving company or anyone else to help me at the last minute. Everyone was already booked. I was so stressed, full of anexity and having panic and was in tears many times. But, "Ouch my back moving" came to save me in my disaster. They arranged guys and a truck for me at late night after their work day was over and next day Early morning. I called to see if Ouch My Back could do a move quickly, to pick up a very heavy sofa and loveseat that we had purchased secondhand. They offered me a timeslot later that day, and then called back to say that they could do the job immediately if we were available. They dispatched a truck and two movers immediately. The two guys were strong, hard-working and very polite and professional. A lady from their office checked in with me regularly to keep me posted on the time of their arrival, and to ensure that everything had gone well. We are very satisfied with the job.

These two lads showed up after working several 12-14 hour days and had our 10ft U-Haul + two car loads of belongings moved into our 8th floor apartment in just over an hour. Absolute Legends. Fantastic moving company. I can’t recommend them enough. I had to move suddenly during a pandemic while my husband was deployed overseas. I’m so glad I contacted this company.
