Didn't show up and didn't notify us at all before that. Company seems to totally lack internal communication, and couldn't even have the courtesy to call. 30 Minutes after they were supposed to arrive, I called them and asked where they were, the manager then told me the driver would call me. I receive a call from the "driver" informing me that he doesn't have my address and that apparently due to some emergency (which is later clarified as happening yesterday (why couldn't you let me know?), and eventually admitted to be someone calling in sick (once again, you could let us know). The response to the situation, "sorry". No offer to compensate, or deep apology, just a sorry as if it wasn't a major issue for the person. The overwhelmingly positive reviews are suspect, and on their website they received 2 very positive reviews (it's strange to have a review section on one's own website, much stranger to have so many reviews posted there) right when they were dealing with the "emergency". Would avoid this company.

Best movers I have ever worked with. Joe called the day before to make sure instructions and locations were clear, they arrived when they said they would, took shoes off and assembled new furniture that was in the box. We were moving my 88 year old father in law and the respect, patience and compassion were so appreciated. I recommend this company fully and they will be my first choice always.

Joey and Mike Nemeth use their employees and abuse the fact that they are dependent on them to live... They don't pay drive time for the crew and especially for the staging jobs they try and run out the jobs to make an extra buck. I hope they start paying there employees properly.. I am blown away about how skeezy they really are.. I highly recommend Greaves moving and A to B over these guys.

The movers are nice, but I don't recommend them. They are inaccurate in their estimations. Be warned. They came and estimated my place, and quoted under 3 hrs for 2 guys. They also emailed me this estimate. The day of the move, they showed up with 3 guys (didn't tell me this would increase the rate), finished the move-out an hour early since they had more guys. Then had to wait around for the hour (I had specific move-in times). So I got charged for that. They didn't know the address I was moving to, even though I emailed that info multiple times. When the move was finally done (4.5hrs total) they gave me a huge charge (almost double). Which i was confused about. Turns out the hourly rate increases with an extra man. I only had enough cash for the original estimate amount (3hrs). Which they told me is the "max" amount I needed in our email correspondence. Why did they not show up later since they brought more men to move, and would logically be faster? Why would they not let me know they were increasing the hourly rate? Why would the move take "longer" with an extra man?

Absolutely amazing experience with this moving company, from start to finish! They were very quick to respond to my moving request and were able to schedule a move for the very next day. They showed up right on time, were very quick to move the two pieces of furniture, and then quickly delivered it to our new address. They were very friendly throughout and were quite careful with the furniture. The price was great, less than half of another company I contacted- and there were no add ons or extra hidden charges on the day of. 10/10 experience during a stressful time, and I will absolutely be using this company in the future and will also recommend them to anyone that asks. What can I say, Hour Movers are simply brilliant. I called the company at 8:50am today and they were pretty booked but I desperately needed a heavy gas range moved [ideally] today. The chap on the phone was super friendly and extremely polite and easy going. They sorted out a truck to come the same day and 3 lads moved our range. They couldn't park very close to the drop off location and 2 lads wheeled the range about 60ft up the street, it is extremely heavy. They were totally okay that I could not offer a hand and said "they do this all the time". The rate was such incredible value for money, I don't think I will call another mover again. Don't waste your time calling around, these guys don't mess around and everything was secured in the truck properly, they were curious and professional and cheaper than the big guys. You won't be sorry you chose them. Thanks Hour Movers for everything, you really helped me out today!

The service was unprofessional, slow and very frustrating. I was alone during the move with my 6 month old while my husband was at work. They did not use any moving blankets for our furniture and our new couch (which was covered in storage and is a light blue) I found down on the pavement without any protection. They were moving slowly as they unloaded, leaving things on the street and playing on my expensive fitness equipment while in the truck! There was a lack of care for our items and courtesy to myself and my baby. I DO NOT recommend this company!

We hired Hour Movers because my mom had a previous great experience with the company. They gave us a very reasonable estimate and had a good schedule for the days we wanted to move. On the day they gave us a phone call when they were on the way and showed up in the estimated arrival time. They sent three employees including the manager, Joe. We had a great time spending the day with them and they made our move stress-less. They came right on the budget we had original talked about and they were professional plus fun. They had all the equipment and supplies needed to move (like blankets, wrap and tools) and the truck was a good size. I hope not to move again any time soon but when it happens I will call Hour movers. I do highly recommend them!

We have used HourMovers twice in June 2016 and Joey Nemeth and his team provided excellent service. Everything was shrink wrapped and carefully handled when being delivered to our small condo. The furniture was well secured and wrapped in the truck. This is especially important when moving antique furniture or fragile items. Arrangements were made efficiently both online and by telephone. Deliveries were on time. The movers were courteous and professional and offered to assist with unwrapping and placement of the furniture. The rates were very reasonable and we would definitely use HourMovers again.

Don't get duped bye the good reviews posted on the google . they have family and good friends post 5 stars and write positive reviews trying to boost the company . I know of 3 people who used them and had a horrible experience tho when they posted there reviews someone in the company flagged them and consequently ( and conveniently was removed ) I my self on my way back from Salt Spring a few weeks ago was cut off and almost lost control of my car due to the drivers horrible driving he had one hand on the wheel and his other with this lime green jacket hanging out the window I call to report the driver to the company once I got home and was meet with sarcasm and straight out rudeness , and was told there was nothing they could do about I should of called the Victoria police instead . I would NEVER recommend this company .. I hope this post stays since my 3 friends post were removed

My wife and I bought a three-seat sofa and a love-seat sofa through UsedVictoria. We booked a mover and waited at the seller place for the mover to come. The mover didn't show up at all. It was 9:10 pm, and we phoned Hour Movers for help. Michael and his brother Joe came over shortly. They did a great job moving our purchase. When they finished the work, it was 10:30 pm. Thank you both Michael and Joe so much! We greatly appreciated it.

The best movers ever! We have moved many many times and we have never had a better moving experience. Joe and Colin were great right from the minute they arrived - personable, professional and super friendly. They were fast but still took great care with our things. We had a very small elevator at the old place and they loaded everything without mishap. We also had a new fridge (packaged) - Colin was working with my husband to get it into the kitchen through a very small doorway. It wouldn’t fit so Colin helped take packaging off and when it still wouldn’t fit suggested opening the doors which did work! Definitely not part of his job but most appreciated. At one point I noticed that I hadn’t seen a Joe for a bit so I asked Colin if he was unloading by himself. Apparently one guy unloads the truck, puts the stuff in the elevator and the other one unloads and brings it in. I have never seen this before - teamwork at efficiency at its peak. All this and the price was much better than anywhere else. Thanks so much - you are the best! We would happily and highly recommend Hour Movers!!
