Foster's moved me this weekend. 3 strong guys in a huge truck showed up and they worked hard! Moving sucks but these guys knew what they were doing and I could not have done it without them. Andrew and his team arrived on time and were finished our move out of our 10th floor condo within 4 hours. This was despite only one smaller elevator operating which had no protectors on the cab walls and there was absolutely no damage at all. Andrew was exceptionally easy to do business with and the final bill came in right on target. At all times, prior to the move and during the move, he was accessible and responded to questions and requests quickly. His team were respectful of not only our furniture but also of the newly refurbished elevator cab and lobby. We have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Foster's Moving. Fosters Moving provides great service. I called around to a few of the local movers, and was very impressed with Andrew at Foster’s Moving as he was very courteous, and understood where I was coming from. He was able to accommodate my difficult work schedule and came over to access and provide an estimate on my move. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that his crews run seven days a week, including holidays. I booked the move for a Sunday morning. His crew (Gary and Jeff ) arrived on time. It was an interesting combination of experience and youth, making an efficient team that could pack and load the truck quickly and safely. I was really impressed with the small details like lying down rugs to protect my old floor and also the hardwood at my new home. When the move was done, the guys went around with me at the end to make sure my furniture and boxes were where I wanted them. Even at the end of the day, they were pleasant and were very accommodating when I asked if they could move a large dresser to an upstairs room. I was extremely happy with Fosters moving, and have recommended them to my friends.

Foster's Moving was recommended by some neighbours. After getting two other estimates from other companies , I chose Foster because of the competitive prices. Movers took a long time to load and unload. One of the two movers the company sent arrived at the house smelling like he just smoked weed. Took at least two smoking breaks while his colleague worked non-stop and then drove to the wrong storage. He said he could fit all the furniture in a 5X10 unit, but after 30 minutes or so of unloading he said he couldn't. I had to buy a bigger unit. He then forgot two pieces of furniture behind in the 1st unit. I had to go back the next day as the storage manager called saying the movers had left two pieces behind. The next day, the storage manager helped as the doors of the unit were blocked because things were stacked improperly. Luckily this unit had 3 doors so we could get access from one of them but the other two were blocked. The manager helped rearrange things in a proper and safe way. This is NOT an issue of choosing which storage. In fact, Foster's Movers were to that same storage U-Lock the day after my move, moving other clients. It is a matter of poor judgement from a worker who should not go to work high. The other worker was professional and did most of the disassembling of the furniture but he followed the directions of the other one, yet lacking poor judgement. As for the moving pads, they were $10 each and they used a total of $15. I was told I could sell back those for $7, which I probably would not be able to as I cannot imagine working with this company if they send me someone who smokes weeds. I understand smoking weeds is legal now but I do not think a workers should come to work after smoking weeds. I had no concerns about the move. My only request was to have it done properly so that furniture and personal belonging were well cared for. Finally, it was not a matter of saving space but of making sure the furniture were not blocking the door and thus, when trying to open the door, possibly damaging the headboard of one of the beds. So much for paying almost $900 for professional movers! I would not recommend this company!

Foster's recently helped us move from Victoria to the lower mainland. They did an exceptional job. The price was more than fair, and it beat several competitors' quotes. They were on time, friendly, careful and courteous. The attention to detail in protecting our possessions was extraordinary — they took more care of our stuff than we do. The overall level of service was first-rate. It was a great start to life in a new home for us, and we'd recommend them to anyone.

We recently had a terrible house moving experience with Foster's Moving&Storage. List of a few reasons below: 1. Scheduled appt at 9am, actual arrival time is 9:35am, no call for late arrival. 2. Disconnection between sales(people did the estimate prior the move) and mover. We requested wardrobe box for moving, mover arrived with no awareness of it, and no preparation. 3. Movers have no tools, we have to search through our own packed boxes for a screw driver to un-assemble furnitures, completely wasted of time. 4. Movers have poor knowledge about moving large furnitures, they did not plan or measure the sizes, insisted on we remove the door when they realized the sofa was difficult to pass the door, which problem was later solved by removing the feets (using our own screw driver). 5. Movers lay some furnitures without any cover/protection directly on the lawn in front our house, the furnitures had minor damages and lots of dirty. 6. Movers took lunch break about 40 minutes without informing us, which kept us wondering that they may not know the address of the new home; We waited long time and had to call their office to find out the reason why they were not here, and later learnt that they were taken lunch break. 7. Ironically they included their lunch time into the total hours of the their moving time which was already inflated by their slow pace, missing tools, and poor knowledge about moving large furniture. Overall, it was a very bad moving experience with Foster's moving & Storage. We wanted to award business to our local neighborhood company, however it turned to be very disappointing, they did not deserve our trust, we won't recommend their business to anyone.

I have to note that they came recommended. However, they quoted 6 hours with three movers and it turned into 9 hours with 3 movers.They moved fewer items and the quote involved tear down and reassembly of beds which didn't have to be done. I have had a challenge to contact the owner to discuss the gross discrepancy and he offered to drop one hour off the price in a phone message. I think the company has to absorb a little more of the cost and all the blame for getting this quote so horribly wrong!! I had everything they had to move boxed and ready to go, I can't say the guys were moving with much urgency either (to be polite). VERY DISAPPOINTED!! I was considering other moving companies that gave more competitive quotes, but went with these guys based on reputation. Completely tarnished their reputation in my book. Everyone I work with has heard this and all say they will never recommend them again.

I am quite pleased with my move with Fosters Moving. The fellas were pleasant and worked extremely hard. Unfortunately, they were in the middle of a very difficult situation with respect to an unethical company storing my belongings and made it very difficult for me emotionally to retrieve my items. One of the movers in a polite manner, almost humerously stepped in between what could have turned physical and diffused the situation. Above and beyond the call of duty I would say! Then again on the other side it was no better. Again the crew worked hard and had to because the unprofessional property managers gave everyone 60 minutes with the elevator. It would have gone more smoothly had the crew chief assisted moving my items but he stayed outside "cleaning the truck" leaving the other 2 to carry the load. If I could give more than 3 stars I would but my headboard was moved by a member of the building management team and one of Andrew's crew members told her stop because as she dragged it across the floor, she broke it. The mover said he would write a statement and the crew chief confirmed it because she blatantly lied about it. I'm now out of a $500.00 headboard. Now, the crew won't provide any statement. Which is all the Supervisor needs to repay me for my loss. Otherwise, a good job and a fair price!

Great service, good value, and professional movers. They properly wrap furniture and glass in protective blankets, and efficiently load the truck to make sure nothing ever breaks. Have used them for my last 4 moves and it is always is stress-free.

I'm very disappointed in the service. At first it seemed good, we got a quote and time for the move. We were really happy. The movers showed up and seemed unenthusiastic and unfriendly. They brought three guys and 1 left partway through due to a family emergency. That was fine...I understand things happen. He was gone for over an hour before they brought a new person over. This delayed the move and we ended up having to pay for it. When we called to ask about the final charge of over $1500, the customer service wasnt very good and said that we already had a discount...No apologies for this or anything. The move took over 10 hours and we were charged for this. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. I've had a better experience with Hendra. I would go with them next time.

Highly recommend Foster's moving! Our sales rep and movers were fantastic! They were all so efficient, kind and friendly, it made moving a much more enjoyable day. The movers offered helpful tips and ensured all of our valuables were well taken care of and placed into the correct rooms before they left. Nothing broke, nothing lost AND we came in under budget! I have all good things to say about the two young "gentlemen" who handled a short move for me from a condo to a large home in Bear Mountain. Compared to Burley's who moved me six months ago from Calgary to Victoria, now THAT was a gong show!! Scott Burley not a nice guy and his poor workers! Movers were supposed to arrive in the am, showed up at 930 pm and started to roll things in. Lost furniture, some in Nanaimo, It truly was a nightmare and charged me double than what I was quoted and hijacked the load until I paid upfront the full amount. Back to Fosters, how nice to have individuals who could carry on a conversation, with manners and worked with me, I tipped them well, they deserved every cent and spoke highly of Andrew, their leader. That says a lot. I have another move coming out of Calgary and certainly will see if Fosters can do an out of Province. Thank you guys!!

Do NOT use Fosters Moving if you in Victoria. They charge for traveling time and are located deep in Langford. This ended up costing us an extra $150 since they have to do the Langford crawl to get to town. The staff (Jacob Paterson) were extremely rude, unhelpful, and unwilling to reimburse us after inquiring about the extra charges. We were not informed before the move, this is not listed on their website, and we booked well in advance. I never write reviews but felt compelled for this one since my mother got stuck with the bill because I was not home - stick with a more local company and save the $150.

As most moves go this was good, had our issues with missing and broken items, at first frustration sets in but once a call is made to them they were very apologetic and quick to fix any and all concerns. One item that was missing was glass shelves i had figured i was going to have to get them cut myself. They showed up took what they needed and said not to worry we will get them replaced. Broken leg on a dresser they packed it up and returned it good as new. I would recommened these folks. I was very pleased woth the ownership they took. I

I have had first hand experience with Foster's Moving. The staff were very profetional, quick and did not disrupt our normal life. Than we refered Foster's to our son who had the same experience. We also had them move our neighbour who had a lot of art pieces and antiques. Claim to specialize in Antique moving - what a joke: 1) Came to door without proper CoVID-19 face coverings, which I had to provide 2) We booked 4 movers; 2 came on time, 2 were 20mins late 3) Asked to use our bathroom on arrival (During CoVID!) 4) Worker handed me his used towel after using bathroom, instead of placing it in the receptacle indicated 5) Used unsecured floor covering on stairs, which was visibly slipping around 6) Team lead was curt and mouthy while boasting that he was the company's only distance driver 7) Removed the metal safety clips from the large heavy mahogany dining table despite my saying they were to stay in; then refused to put them in when asked 8) Attempted to move table with 2 persons despite our explicit request and payment for 4; nearly dropped table twice on stairs. 9) On delivery, demanded alternate form of payment because his credit card app on his phone wasn't working "for the past few days"; Agent was rude and snippy when we preferred to provide payment only via the method agreed in advance 10) Broke a piece of sideboard trim because they lifted it by that part after I had shown them not to lift there; proceeded to force it into place on having this pointed out, adding a crack 11) Was overheard by owners of establishment at delivery destination who commented that was the worst customer treatment they had ever seen or heard. 12) Invoice arrived by email and had overcharged; was corrected by owner only after we pointed out their error.

Foster's did a great job with my move! I was moving from Vancouver to Victoria, and their quoted price was comparable to other companies I talked to. I needed to move a large stone sculpture, and while other companies were a bit unsure about it Foster's suggested I have a custom crate built and explained how they planned to deal with the piece. The move went very smoothly, and my statue (as well as my furniture) arrived safely! I had a great experience with the movers themselves, as well as the office staff. I would definitely recommend them to anyone, especially if you have an unusual or delicate element to your move.
