There is a review below by “Alyssa Boe” that is pretending to be me but it is clearly a fake review written by the jilted ex-receptionist Peggy. I’ve reported the review as fraudulent and as faking my identity, hopefully it will be removed soon. Here is the real story. All the main details of the fake review are correct, the day of the move was super difficult and took 10 hours when I was quoted approximately 4, and some furniture was minorly damaged during the move. However the move took this long largely because of the old receptionist Peggy’s lack of clear communication with the moving team and booking the wrong number of movers for the move out (should have been 3, was 2 instead which makes a HUGE difference). What’s more is after that fact they did a great job at following up and addressing my concerns over the extra long move, and they gave me a discount for the move and for the damaged furniture. I think miscommunications and unexpected circumstances can happen to anyone so it’s how you deal with them that matters and BC Moving and Storage were nothing but professional and kind in how they handled the mishap.

Moving team arrived on-time. Inspected the moving items and parking area. They took care of items with especial attention i.e. wrapped sofa, drawer and put blanket around important ones. They moved items to the new place and used especial floor cover to keep our new floor clean. Finished on-time both on move-out location and transferred all items completely. BC Moving was recommended to me. So I didn't expect to be so disappointed. The men who showed up to move me were seniors, as I was paying by the hour I ended up moving a lot of boxes myself which resulted in many boxes left in the garage because I was not standing and directing where thing should go. There is also approximately three boxes missing. In communication with the owner a refund was promised, that was a month ago and nothing yet. Really wondering where my things ended up.

The service was seemless from start to finish. I had a beautiful and expensive leather couch and chair to be picked up and delivered into an awkward space. They wrapped it in plastic and were amazing at getting it through the stairs and setting it up.

BC Moving and Storage are by far the best movers in Victoria. I've had a few bad moving experiences so I appreciated the quality of their work. Tim L and Josh L were amazing. They arrived early, worked very fast and were friendly and patient. Nothing was a problem, even two sets of stairs, one very steep. The owner named Adam did an estimate for us and the time to complete the move was supposed to be 5 hours. That Is what he said it would be ! The movers came and it took 11 hours to actually complete our move. I was shocked how wrong he was and how much he wanted to charge me after for it. One of the mover was unprofessional and I absolutely do not recommend this company. The movers are out of shape and I am very disappointed with the experience. The only positive about them was the nice woman on the phone that help us to book our move.

We used BC Moving for our large household move last month and they were fantastic! The team of 4 were so professional and worked non stop for the full day. They knew what they were doing and were very efficient and worked super well together and still had a bit of fun too. We could not have been any happier with the job they did. We used BC Moving and Storage last month in August.. I booked them for the afternoon. The movers came by and told me that it would take longer then expected. Loading the truck started at 2 pm and finished at 10 pm. The movers couldn’t finish the move on the same day so they had to come back the next day in the morning. The company is not well organized . The movers were nice but overwhelmed. I believed this comes from the owner. When we first booked everything , it was well done. We talked to Peggy and she was great. We really loved our experience with her but unfortunately the day of the move was a nightmare. The movers damaged our couch and our bookshelves. There was no follow up on that and I certainly don’t recommend this company.

The worst experience with two old workers, and the customer service was rude to the customer. Unexpected additional fee will apply on your bill, if you choose this company, you will pay extra 90 dollars for them to come to your house. They did not even deserve one star, it should be zero star on my rate.

Used BC Moving & Storage for the second time for a residential move. Movers took extreme care with my belongings, and this last move went over and above by carrying two items that wouldn’t fit in the elevator up several flights of stairs. Highly recommended!

BC moving has been an amazing help for me during covid-19. When I was asked to quickly move out of dorms at the University of Victoria in March BC moving was able to move all my belongings out of my dorm and store them for me in a timely manner. They also helped deliver items I had in storage since I am currently not living in Victoria.
