Worked with Upack and they contracted Old Dominion for our move. The move was from Virginia to Alabama at no point did Old Dominion or Upack mention anything about gravel driveways. It came to a complete surprise to us when they said that a gravel driveway would be off roading and they cannot do it. I would understand if it was parking the trailer on gravel or grass, however there is a 40 foot concrete pad at the top of the driveway. Just to elaborate a little more UPS, FedEx, Landstar have had no issues with the drive. There is no reason this should be an issue, howere it should have been communicated at some point that the driveway needs to be paved. It cannot be that my house is the only gravel drive in America

I very rarely write reviews but felt like I needed to for UPack. When my wife and I were looking at options for moving from Michigan to Colorado, we looked at the usual suspects and stumbled on UPack. It seemed like the recent reviews were all very good but some of the past reviews weren't all that great so we were a bit nervous. Ultimately decided to pull the trigger on the cubes mostly because of the cost vs other options. Couldn't be happier that we went with UPack. Customer service was easy to work with and the cubes were delivered promptly, picked up shortly after we had packed them, and delivered a few days later in Colorado. We packed them very well and as a result had virtually no casualties (one broke chair leg, totally my fault). Overall, it was a great experience and if I move again, I will certainly use UPack.

If you want competent movers that won't add stress to your life, DON'T use upack. Our pod was dropped off on Monday. My boyfriend got home from work on Wed and our pod was missing. He called and found out that they had accidentally picked ours up instead of our neighbors. They have literally no verification process to ensure that the correct pod is picked up/dropped off. On Friday, THE WEEKEND OF OUR MOVE, my boyfriend got home and discovered that AGAIN our pod was missing. He called and instead of bringing it back, they said we would have to wait until Monday & that there was nothing they could do about that. WE WERE MOVING THAT WEEKEND AND THEY DIDN'T CARE AT ALL THAT THEY WERE LEAVING US WITH NO MOVERS. The customer service rep that I spoke to was incredibly rude and unprofessional. She kept talking over me and accusing me of just trying to cause issues. But why would I be calling about my pod, if they hadn't messed it up? I needed to speak to the head of the entire branch to work out the situation. He ended up being very helpful, but the whole process was completely unacceptable. I was worried the whole move that our stuff would end up missing because of their incompetence. I never had these issues at the Syracuse or Seattle locations. Other Upacks are probably fine - but be careful with this one.

My overall experience with u-pack trailer was excellent. It's lot more cheaper, reliable and convenient to contact the customer service. People in the customer service are very professional. Only bad experience there was a tiny break in the trailer front wall what covered with my mattress. In a result found the mattress wet at unloading. My recommendation is that please check before loading household stuffs..if there is break/hole take care of that to avoid any damage to your stuff.

Similar to, but significantly less than PODS. I did quite a bit of research, from price comps, to reading reviews about lots of moving companies. Outside of driving your own truck, U-pack is the most affordable- even with a team to load our truck in CO and unload it in MI. Their communication was terrific at all times, transfer of our belongings took 1 week exactly and nothing was damaged on their accord (Denver movers damaged a few items while packing). We moved 4 FULL pods (a 3 bedroom house) across country and would definitely use U-Pack again (hopefully we stay put for a long time and don't need to though)!

This was the most efficient and economical way I found to move. You only pay for the space you actually use up, and your the remainder of your trailer is packed with commercial goods, separated by a retaining wall which you lock up. The delivery time was decent, about 1.5 weeks which gave me time to get to my new place, get it cleaned up and painted, just in time for my delivery. It worked out great. Their customer service is very good from people at the call center to the workers delivering/picking up the trailer.

The service and experience at the destination center was horrible. I had to call so many times that I have lost count. For transit I had to call, then stuff was stuck in Buffalo for days and when I called then I was told that the Visa copy was not clear(which by the way I had sent earlier and was very clear,) the same copy when sent again was ok. Even after the border was crossed I had to call so many times. It was a harassment and total waste of time. Apparently at 4:59 you can receive mail from client but not pickup their call. Even dispatch was not available to take calls mutilple times and since there was no direct line for dispatch, I had to rely on destination center to patch me up. Due to all this and much more I will never trust Upack again and won't suggest it to anyone.

I was reluctant to use a freight carrier for moving my belongings from New York to Missouri, but I took a chance. What a great experience!!!! Both Lisa and Kevin in the North Tonawanda, NY warehouse were SO helpful directing me and answering my questions as a grandmother moving long distanced. Always took my calls and always gave me the BEST advice. Wonderful, wonderful folks. Then the gent that dropped off the truck to be packed was equally kind and thoughtful in placement so as not to inconvenience my other tenants but to make it easier to pack for my movers. Picked the loaded truck up the same day with simple instructions on how to manage my reserved five feet of loading space. Didn't have to be there either!!!! How great is that? Got to St. Louis, and "Wayne", the fellow who dropped my trailer was also very supportive of where to place the trailer to unpack so as to make it the easiest on me and my movers. And they came back to pick it up the SAME afternoon as I had such a small unload. Overall, I would use ABF Freight again without reservation. My move was unremarkable and totally stress free. Thanks again, as I consider myself a repeat customer, if need be.

I used their moving services to relocate a (very full) pod's worth of household items from one side of NY state to the other and the process could not have been easier. Considered all options and UPack was the best. We had to move contents of a 10x15 storage unit from Michigan to Nevada in February. Not a good time of year for cross country road trip in a UHaul - (with a dog to boot!). Transcontinental movers were VERY expensive and inflexible. U-Pack had flexibility and economy. Outstanding company and one of the few companies who does an excellent job of treating customers like they would want to be treated. I have used them twice. First time everything was frictionless, no challenges or concerns. It was rather easy. So decided to try them again. Second time wasn’t as smooth. However a company is defined by how they recover from service failures and U-Pack was excellent in this area. Most companies you have to chase them down and solve your own problem. U-Pack did the opposite. They were chasing me down, calling, being very transparent. Meredith, Amber and Joe really wanted to help. All three of them did what few companies do well, which was empathy. Whatever they could do to make this right they did. They kept their brand promise, in a genuine way, and gained both my confidence and trust. I move once a year and have used everyone from full service to do-it yourself. The moving industry is in desperate need of innovation. However I think U-Pack is leading the charge. I trust this company and would highly recommend. They have the full service moving companies beat in so many ways.

Pick-up was easy to schedule for our move from Detroit to Portland. The cost was expensive when compared to driving a U-Haul (~25% more) but worth the convenience of not driving through the mountains. The trailer made it to Portland on the first day it was expected and drop-off was smooth as well. Some of our furniture was banged up a little on arrival and a few glasses were broken, but overall items made it safely.

From the driver that dropped off the container to the driver that picked it up (completely different people, and states), Amazing attitude, extremely helpful, and work with you to make it as simple as possible. I moved from Michigan to Cali, I was nervous about using such a company (first time), but wow was I impressed with the whole process from A to Z. Very professional, and can tell they have a great system in place. When I was done unloading, they sent me a text asking me to reply when I was done. Boom that easy, I replied, and the next day the container was gone. I love when a great process works!

The company provided all the proper paperwork for crossing the border for you to fill out. Her items arrived within the time frame given to us and everything was intact! We filled about 5 feet of the trailer and picked our stuff up at the terminal in Elkridge,MD. It was super easy and stress free! highly recommend.

First I just want to say overall I did like u pack, their trailer options were way better than pods(a lot more space) I like that when I used less than the entire 26 feet I had a bulkhead to put in front of my stuff. I woke use them again. My only complaints were the trailer drop off didn't go so smooth. They have me a three hour window for drop off. I called them 40 minutes after that window and stood they were running behind. I was told that the driver d picking up the trailer and would call me when he was closer. 20 mins later I get a call from my storage unit place saying that a trailer was there so I had to hurry up and pack u up all of my belongings and rush over there. Luckily I was working at a library around the corner or he would have been waiting a while for me to get there. I get there he said I call the number and it said invalid number... So you couldn't try a second time to see if you had entered an incorrect number? Nope. Then as we were doing a walk around there was a giant hole through the entire trailer wall. I was instructed to just throw some duct tape on it and he would note it down. I found it out from my drop off driver that the drop of driver should have caught that before the trailer was ever delivered.

My drop off of loading cubes went very well. The cubes are easy to load and are not obtrusive to street traffic. Shipment from MI to GA took about 3 business days. The drop off was slightly messy - I received two cubes in GA, however, one was not mine. This was slightly stressful but the company, once informed, took care of it promptly. I would use UPack again - but I would encourage better control of their distribution centers.

Got the big trailer for move from AZ to NY. ABF is the company they work with. I cannot say enough nice things about EVERYONE I worked with. Saw a small screw in the tire of the truck before we loaded in AZ. ABF had a tech out right away to fix. Worked on delivery and pickup with the ABF in Buffalo. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. I was transferred from Montreal (Canada) to Minneapolis (USA) and did some shopping around for moving companies that could do it through the border for my personal effects (condo size). I found U-Pack and it was great and affordable. I had issues with parking a trailer in my condo building so I called U-pack to make a reservation and make multiple questions, I found it was a great customer service, very polite and supportive. At the beginning I thought I was going to use 10 Ft of space but after planning my boxes and furniture setup i was able to fit everything in a 5 ft space. I called again to change my reservation, and again they were very helpful and made the changes with no issue. Also, I have to say I called several times to change my moving date, and every time U-pack service helped me with that in the best way. U-pack works with ABF truck company, so I went there with my stuff, and the local guys in Montreal were very supportive as well, Kevin showed me where to park my van and where to accommodate my things. I was travelling one week later, so in order to complete all the documentation for the move I had to wait for my visa documentation. After that I sent the papers to U-pack by email and they were ready to move my stuff to its destination (Minneapolis Station). I was able to track where my stuff was day by day, and when it arrived to the station, I called U-pack again to change the delivery type from station to my home, (I paid something extra, but it was worth it because it was cheaper than going myself and using a moving company or hiring someone). Before arriving, U-pack called me several times to let me know that the trailer was coming. When it arrived, I told the driver where to park and let the trailer, then he helped me unloading the ramp and disassembling the separations used for my stuff. It took me 2 hours to move everything to my new apartment, and then I called U-pack again so they could pick up the trailer. A new driver arrived 30 minutes later and picked up the trailer. At the end of the day, I was very happy with the service both U-pack and ABF delivered because of the great service and hassle free moving from one country to another.

Delivery and pick-ups were on time. Friendly drivers. If you fill the truck you cannot get the ramp stored on it. (Not enough room). Call for separate ramp pick-up. Most importantly, secure the load inside. Trip from Michigan to Florida tossed many things around even after carefully packed and secured. Center of trailer gets the least pounding. Overall would use again!

This is a terrible moving company! Their supposedly “insured” driver ran off of the highway with my load of personal possessions causing numerous pieces of furniture, pottery, dishes etc to shatter. The damage was so extreme that items were broken all throughout the entire load. I took photos of the extensive damage and immediately contacted U-Pack. They sent out some type of Adjustor who simply downplayed the damage. Even with all of my proof U-Pack refused to compensate me for my significant loss and they took no responsibility for their driver. Their supposed insurance is not worth the paper it’s written on!

From the first call to U-Pack in Edmonton, I was lucky to get Rachel she was extremely patient answered all my questions and on the day of loading she had the trailer upfront and it was swept clean ready for loading. She helped me and my friend secure the items and then reviewed all the paper work required and the shipment left the following day. On arrival in Pacoima, California, Andy had everything ready I paid the freight charges the previous day and the following day the trailer was upfront ready for unloading. It was a smooth move and nothing was damaged while in transit. Keep in mind that Rachel had asked me to throw out any cleaning liquids to avoid my items of having a terrible smell. I would recommend U-Pack for any moves, their people are very helpful and it saves you money BIG TIME. It's a Win-Win situation.

Very responsive in delivering and pickup the trailers and cross country movement of goods. Load height of decks and grates on ramps (as opposed to a smooth surface) made loading and unloading more difficult than do-it yourself trucks. There are no tie downs on the floor or front of the trailer. (I ended up screwing hooks to the plywood front of the trailer to secure portions of the load.) Only places to secure load that were built in were in the sides of the trailer--I had some tie down straps that I was able to hook into these slots (but not all my straps could be used.) They use plywood panels to mark off your portion of the load that have integral jacks that go from wall to wall. The only way to lock the jack in place to prevent tampering is with a small diameter shackle lock--couldn't use a better lock: less concerned about theft, more of an issue of just not having any lock on hand that fit. Seemed a bit expensive, but also much easier and more convenient that a cross-country trip in a "you do it all"... probably even cheaper once all costs are considered. I would certainly use their services again, but hoping I don't have to.

What an amazing 5 star experience. I had to move to Canada and had to store the cube for 3 months before gettinf the delivery. The whole process was so smooth. The scheduling, pickup, storage and moving to Canada, paperwork at customs, and delivery was all handled very well. I moved from the US to Montreal. The customer service in the US was attentive, kind, and helpful. I could always count on them for clarifications. On the other hand, the partnership with the transport company ruins the experience overall. My trailer wasn't picked up as scheduled. I had to call the transport company to remind them, and, thankfully, they were able to accommodate me. The transport company is a nightmare. They tried to manipulate me to hire a moving company to empty the trailer at their parking lot, so they wouldn't need to deliver it to my door! To motivate me to follow their plan, they repeatedly stressed the need to have a parking permit, how hard and time-consuming it would be to get it. Also, I have struggled to have a mere e-mail of theirs confirming the day of the delivery. Unbelievable! The "never more package" includes an obtuse cargo claims team. One of my drawers was damage because, during the transportation, the truck's floor got wet, so humidity at the bottom of the drawer made the furniture peel. Nevertheless, my claim was summarily rejected because it was considered "unproperly packed, loaded and secured to withstand the normal conditions of transportation." Seriously? Should I know better than the truck has infiltrations? If any claims are rejected on such an absurd basis, U-Pack should not offer the possibility of increasing the liability coverage or having one at all. I'm feeling stupid for having paid more for this optional service. Though, it deserves two stars for the excellent customer service in the US and the fantastic price.

I moved from Buffalo NY to Provo Utah and was going to rent a U-haul truck and drive myself. Glad I went with U-PAC. I did not have to worry about traffic, construction, driving slower, parking, etc. plus the truck was larger. Having someone else take care of that for a slightly higher cost is well worth it. U-pack dispatch on both ends were extremely responsive and drivers were very helpful also. As far as committed to times for drop off and pick up; they were spot on. I would definitely use U-PACK again. Very good customer experience.

Everything about our experience with U-Pack was excellent. They were cheaper and much more efficient than U-Haul. We were moving my son's stuff from Michigan to Colorado. The timeline they gave was exactly what we got. Everyone I spoke with in customer service was polite, professional and extremely helpful. Honestly, this was a perfect process from start to finish. I moved from Detroit to San Francisco. There was clear communication and responsiveness if I needed it. The cube showed up on time, I filled it up, and it looked exactly the same when it arrived. My personal lock was never touched. Delivery was the same level of service, and everyone in the company was quite friendly. I would absolutely recommend ABF to anyone moving long-distance, it definitely beats driving!

I was brought a full semi trailer. They pulled to the spot i needed and unhooked the cab, left the trailer. Fit right under the power lines. I had the whole trailer to work with however, they charge you for 13ft but the bars can only be setup at even increments, ie 12ft or 14ft. So you either lose a foot or have to put them up at 14ft which they charged me for. Other than that, it is nice to have the extra room to work with tho. Packed everything in tightly and my stuff arrived with no damage. Very friendly staff and great to work with. They were able to work well with my schedule. Great company
