We just had JPD Movers complete phase 1 of our move from our Condo to our pit stop until our new house closes in September. Jeffrey and his employees were kind, clean, genuine people who made our move stress free and enjoyable. JPD also moved our piano, a family valuable that we were incredibly nervous about, but they treated it as if it was their own, with the appropriate equipment to ensure a safe move. We are having JPD Movers back in September to complete the last phase of our move into our new home and feel completely relaxed and assured that our move will be handled smoothly and at an excellent rate. These guys are simply the best movers. If you are moving and you dont hire these guys your making a mistake. The go out of the way to make sure everything you need is moved. They are really good at keeping track of where things go so make the unpacking easier. The cost is really good and there was no hidden cost or fees. They offer insurance but with these guys your likely not going to need it...but better safe then sorry. I cant thank and recommend these guys enough.

Hire JDP Movers if you need a professional caring moving company. I hired JDP after talking to many companies. They actually listened to our needs and we felt we’d get good results with them. What I didn’t expect was to get a company that treated our property like it was their own. They were punctual, professional, quick and zero damage to my property. Their rate was reasonable and they didn’t waste a minute packing their truck expertly and safely. If I ever move again, I wouldn’t even consider another moving company. Hire them with confidence.

so we had to move our daughter out of her apartment as she was moving home to Sydney. We rented a UHaul and hired JPD movers to help move belongings out of apartment and into UHaul. First of all, Jeff was awesome to deal with- personable, helpful and courteous. He was very responsive to calls and texts. But move day (Today) was the real story. Blizzard conditions and apartment on a hill and an unplowed parking lot. Well Robbie and Joe were amazing. They basically shovelled the entire parking lot so I could get the UHaul in and were just the nicest guys. The move went smoothly and the packing job on the truck was a work of art. I would recommend to everyone in Metro and surrounding areas to look to them first if you have a move upcoming. A+++++++ 100/100.

JPD Movers is a wonderful local business and I was really impressed with the personal care I received. Jeff and his wife delivered boxes to me so I could pack. They went over how to do the packing and provided a lot of support with the move even before the move dates. If I needed help or instructions they were easy to contact. I was very impressed with the follow up care and concern that all the fragile objects were in good condition . Whooooohooooo JPD MOVERS ARE AWESOME !! I had to move on Canada Day 2018 which is a holiday and a sunday but they still sent someone out to help us ! I cant say enough good about this company. I have worked in the customer service field for years, and I have high expectations, especially for a paid service. I never write reviews, but came online especially to rate these guys. I want to support local businesses. I was moving with very little notice and needed someone to move me, fast. The bigger companies were all saying it was too short notice. They recommended Jeff from JPD Movers & Packers. They came to my rescue. He was available, fairly priced, on time and moved me the pouring pouring rain without a complaint. Very professional. They were careful of my belongings, yet efficient and fast, it didn't take long at all. I had a small fall during the move and they were so nice. They helped my mom take the stuff out of her car because I had hurt myself a little and couldn't do it anymore. If you are moving, you should give these guys a call. 5 stars all the way.

We moved from Florida to Prince Edward, but our PODS can only go as far as Dartmouth, NS. I called a few moving company in Halifax/Dartmouth area, but after speaking to Jeff, I was sold! He's easy to speak with and gave you a straightforward estimate. They started emptying my 3 PODS in Dartmouth, to load in their trucks at 8:00 AM, reached Charlottetown at 7:30 PM, finished unloading our belongings in the storage by 1:00 AM, and Jeff and his crew are still smiling. They did not reach Dartmouth till 5:00 AM and stayed up for their 9:00 AM scheduled move. I highly recommend JPD Movers and Packers.

These guys were absolutely AMAZING!!! I had a very mesat break up!!! The ex made it difficult to schedule the move! After changing the date and times 3 timesthat day. Jeffery talked to his guys and they worked until 9pm to get me out that day!! Something we thought would take and hour and a half took 3 hours, after hours! When we experienced a family crisis which resulted in a sudden and unexpected move, JPD Movers managed to fit our move in around other clients, stored our belongings safely while we waited to take possession of our new home and quickly got us moved into a house with difficult access. This company came within a couple of days, on time and ready to work. They did it quickly and had to make 2 trips. Not one complaint, smiled and chatted the whole time and were very polite. They handled my furniture carefully, wrapped everything that was fragile and double checked every room in the house to make sure they had everything. This locally owned company went above any beyond for me! When the company that I had booked to move me stopped answering my calls and didn't show up, this company came to my rescue!! They were able to book me in last minute 24 hours before the move. The owner was extremely knowledgeable and so helpful!! He went out of his way to make sure that I was able to move. His team worked fast, safely and professionally. They drove over 16 hours round trip in poor weather conditions, making the commute that much longer. Just a few short weeks ago my partner and I decided to sell our property and begin a journey all of us are all too familiar with....moving. In-and-of-itself, moving is a stressful and nerve-wracking experience; compounded by COVID, it can be even more stressful. Taking a leap of faith we signed a lease on a new apartment in a sparse rental landscape before we found a buyer for our home. putting the "cart before the horse" as they would say was a gamble and sometimes (most times) gambling can be a very unreliable thing. With that in mind we searched for a reputable and reliable company to transport our belongings. Being the people my spouse and I are, we take pride in the care that we give our possessions because they hold not just practical value, but great sentimental value to us. In our search we found JPD Movers and Packers. When first speaking with Jeff, he educated me on the process of moving and warned me against the less-than reputable companies out there that have been popping up in lieu of the surge in our housing market. during our initial conversation he did not assume I was going to use him, he simply wanted me to be armed with information. That initial interaction is what made the decision for us to choose JPD Movers. Moving day was about as positive and as good an experience as we could have hoped for. The gentlemen that helped us that day were as hard-working, knowledgeable, and courteous and as friendly as one could hope for that day; and this was not an easy move. Myself, my spouse and mother-in-law all took part and had a great time (and sore muscles the next day). They guys were all-smiles and very gracious. We could not have asked for a better company to trust our belongings with. We live in a very stressful time; and in these times it is nice to still be able to rely on people. I contacted a few companies and they either were not able to accomadate my needs or their rates were just not in my budget. I called JPD Movers and even though the owner Jeff had a move sheduled for that afternoon, He was able to move me that evening and his rates were definately in my budget. Upon arrival he was very professional and efficient and had my belongings in my new residence without a hitch. I have moved 42 times throughout six countries. My experience with JPD Moving is without question the best experience I have ever had to date. Jeff, the owner, showed up on time to do the quote, went through the process in detail and confirmed with paperwork by end of day. He was always in constant communication from beginning to end with any questions and concerns. They follow proper covid protocol. His packers - Jessica and Nicole - were on time, efficient, and careful. We have a lot of delicate cocktail glassware and they were very careful to pack properly. The movers - Robbie, Kyle and Justin - showed up the next day to move a lot of equipment (refrigerators, dishwashers, freezers etc). There were on time, super friendly, hard working, and went above and beyond to try to help us get our restaurant moved out. I failed to hire plumbers to disconnect the dishwashers and ice machine and they did what they could to help us complete the task. They had fun while working without wasting time. That’s the best. This company is second to none in Halifax - and I’ve used many for both real estate and restaurant moves. The spectrum on quality of movers is vast and they are at the very top of this game. This is my first ever google review cause these guys genuinely deserve this. They are absolutely the best!! Jeff is very easy to talk to and he arranged for us to have our things moved from a storage facility in Halifax to our new home. On the day of the move there was a small hiccup at the storage facility but Jeff was on-call coordinating with us to turn things around and to get things moving ASAP. Our movers Kyle & Robbie were highly efficient and cautious with all our stuff. Top-notch professionalism, exceeding work- ethics and a business model run with a heart at the centre of it all (which is quite a rare find these days). Things did not go as initially planned for my daughter and her roommate in their move from one apartment to another. A series of unfortunate events left them scrambling to find some help with their move. It was quite stressful for them. Particularly in a COVID lockdown with both sets of parents living out of Province. Jeff's team were out of town but he personally came to their rescue and moved their things late into the night/early morning. We were all so relieved. Jeff has a heart of gold. I had moving companies in the past and was a terrible ordeal for me, over priced in less distance and we're not very friendly and were uncaring to my belongings and took a lot of breaks. I was skeptical of hiring another moving company this time but realized that I didn't have a choice and then I found JPD Movers. Jeff and Eric were on time, very efficient, professional and out going. I couldn't get over how quick they were. They were also caring and considerate of my belongings and affordable pricing. I would definitely recommended JPD Movers! great crew!!

I can't say enough positive things about JPD movers and packers! From first conversation to the end of the move they were nothing but professional.Jeff make me fell comfortable….not like some other movers I had talked to.They laid down runners to protect floors,treated my belongings like they were their own. When I moved into new place the guys asked me every single time what room I wanted everything in.I was putting a table together while they were moving me in and one guy asked me if I needed any help. The price that Jeff gave me in the very beginning...was the price in the end...no hidden or extra costs.They did not waste time doing the move. They also showed up on time! First thanks Jeff and Robbie. We called JPD movers on a Thursday to move my mother in law on very short notice from one storage unit to another. They called back same day, their rates were highly competitive, and prior too, during the move, until the end of the move they kept touch and were on schedule. The price did not change as well, due to a back injury to myself, they loaded our car with things our mother in law wished to keep at our home. I was dreading this move, shifting 45 years of furniture and belongings to a new, smaller location, but I didn't need to worry. Robbie and his crew arrived a few minutes early and set to work. We were not permitted to stay because of Covid-19. When they arrived at my new home, we could see the care they took in moving everything. My good pieces were well wrapped and some even strapped to the side of the van. They carried them into the new home and unwrapped them inside, making sure no there was no damage on the truck or on the way to the house. And they never stopped moving, even eating lunch on the run. Robbie and crew were funny, kind and helpful, and I really appreciated that. Thanks to all of you for taking the pain out of this move.
