We decided to move with Highland based on their estimate and their good reputation. We understood that their estimate would be a little off because we had some goods that we kept in the storage unit which had not been seen. The packing day came and the 3 packers worked all day packing all of our boxes, this despite the fact that we had packed at least 40 to 50 boxes prior to their arrival. There were so many boxes in our home at the end of the day, that we couldn't move and the packers had to leave somethings for the movers to complete the next day. The movers arrived the following day and commenced moving everything out to their truck. Despite being one mover down for the first hours they worked diligently getting everything outside. We assisted them by acting as the lookout outside by the truck ensuing that there were no problems. Once the third mover arrived at noon they doubled down and got everything out by 17:30 and our home was empty. Both the packers and the movers worked with great care and diligence They were professional, friendly and very competent packing and moving our belongings. The only issue came when our final toll arrived and the actual cost of our move was almost 50% higher than the original estimate. However, the company listened to our issues and came up with a small refund that lowered our final cost and we were very satisfied with everything. We would recommend this company as a very good one to accomplish your own move. Trust them to be professional, hard working and thorough people to treat your goods with great care. A move is a very difficult and trying time in your life and you need to be able to trust the people that are moving your precious possessions. Highland moving and storage is a company that you can trust and rest assured that your hard earned possessions are in very good hands.

I recently moved from Vancouver to Courtenay, B.C.. Of the three companies I interviewed, Highland was the only one that provided me with an visit from an agent (Arlene) to determine weight and discuss details. She provided me with a useful information package for moving (from Atlas) and gave a a formal quote for their services, promising to come in within 10% of the quote depending on actual weight. They did. However, Arlene couldn't give me a next day delivery as I had only a 1 bedroom apt. which would not fill the truck and crossing to Vancouver Island on the ferry is costly. She did phone two days before the move out to say that my belongings would be delivered Feb. 1st (six days later). It did arrive on time. The move out in Vancouver was seamless with Mike singing and whistling his way through the 4 hour load up as he recorded inventory. He managed his team (Ron and Brandon) with professionalism and kept an upbeat positive mood. The delivery was done by Dowell's in Victoria who called the day before to confirm the time. They were right on time with Matt and Cord doing an excellent job of allowing me to check the inventory and placing the boxes in the right location. Only one floor lamp was damaged and needed to be thrown out. Otherwise, everything arrived in great condition. Thank you Highland (and Dowell's). I believe both work under the umbrella of Atlas Moving. And thank you Arlene for your patience and professional service, answering all my questions promptly and honestly.

They were both friendly, hard working and extremely diligent. I was very impressed and felt the need to write this review. Good movers are hard to find, and suffice to say, these two individuals were great!

Full pack by Highland loading at Burnaby in late January -- full unpack by Atlas Agent King's Transfer unloading at Winnipeg in early February -- full Atlas Insurance -- some damage (nothing out of line given that this was a 2,200 KM wintertime move through the mountains and across the prairie provinces) -- in the end all items were either fixed or paid out for replacement -- very courteous people to deal with, from the estimation stage through to claims resolution. I am very happy with the way things have turned out and would certainly consider Atlas-Highland--King's again for my next move.

Highland moved us from Richmond, B.C. to Ottawa. It was a Nightmare from HELL. They assured us everything would go smoothly. They Lied. Moving Van showed up 3 hrs. late. Wrong size truck, needed to reload 2Xs and took till 9P.M. just to get goods out of house. Upon arrival in Ottawa, showed up 4 hrs late. Employees hired to unload didn't care about goods. Dropped boxes, scratch and broke items. We were in tears. Total damage over $5,000.00. Driver offered us $400.00 cash to not put in a claim. Next we had problems with the Adjuster and when we went back to Arlene of Highland . again were made promises that weren't kept. Bought full coverage /replacement Insurance and am still fighting to get damages paid for. It's now 6 weeks since we put in for a claim. Atlas Van Lines LIES and treats it's customers like they don't care. My Wife and I almost had heart attacks from the way they are handling our claim.

Great moving experience! Arlene at the office was so helpful getting everything booked, especially over Zoom during the pandemic. She accurately estimated our home move needs and our final price was exactly what we were quoted which was much appreciated. Neil and his crew of movers were on time, professional, hard working and asked us where we wanted the large items so we could get all our furniture placed right away. Everything arrived safely and nothing was damaged. They also put mats down on our floors to protect them. They made everything so easy for us. Highly recommended!

Arlene Johnston our sales representative provided us with a fare quote and also took the time to deliver boxes to our house on several occasions prior to move date. Given the adverse weather conditions on move day with snow in the forecast we were amazed how our three movers not only showed up on time but were able to adapt to changing weather keeping both homes relatively clean and dry. We recently moved and hired Highland Movers to do our local move, it goes without saying that we did our research and got a few quotes on Movers. Arlene visited our place (with COVID Protocols followed of 'course) and gave us the most reasonable quote. She was professional and prompt with her responses We moved on the Hottest weekend in July ,which definitely made it challenging for them Not only that, the 'Kirkland Crew' from there company took the time to pack each of our furniture items neatly taking care of the walls and the floors. We did have 1 bed assembled loosely which they took the time to reassemble . They were also very honest about 1 of our chest of drawers and bed chipping some items but we knew it was old and has finished its lifespan so to say (IKEA). All in we are very pleased with their service and are hoping to use them again when we need to move. Thanks

They delivered to our new homes 400 kms only two days later and were polite and efficient. We had minor damage to one piece of furniture and Highland addressed that in a timely and fair manner. She was there to answer any problems and questions any time of the day. The packers Terri and Sarah were just awesome! They really took care of things as they packed. It was very reassuring. The move was not an easy one due to long hallways and a small elevator they had for transporting furniture, but they did it with good grace. They were careful with everything, but just the same, a glass side panel in a cabinet got broken. I was pleasantly surprised when Robert came to fix it the very next day, and made it look like new and with absolutely no hassle for me. I would recommend this company to anyone as they are experienced, take care, and are mindful of your needs and personal property.

She noted some particulars of what would happen during the move and also passed on the information and requests that I had provided for the moving team. Although there was a minor chip on a wooden piece of furniture, our claim was handled quickly and the furniture restorer made it as good as new. In all, I liked the atmosphere of this company and how they really seemed like a team that were working together. Worst company ever. Alex Mar sent a crew to deliver my things. These guys said the company would send someone to assemble my functional trainer machine, handle paintings, and assemble the TVs with their bases during the following days. The next day, Alex Mar wrote an email saying none was included or authorized. Previously, he charged me $3,000 CAN for a supposed customs review, including his fee. I guess according to his policies, that was authorized. Do not hire these abusers.

I had Miranda and Company work with me to unload a container split it in two and deliver one half in Vancouver and load the other in a semi and send it to Winnipeg. Was not inexpensive but they did a great job no problems of any sort. No damage and all was done as needed. They were great to work with. I will cross dock and do this with them again if needed.

I moved from North Vancouver to Gibsons on the Sunshine Coast a total of 50 kms. including the ferry of 10 kms. I was charged for 16 hours of time to go this distance. They proposed to do the move over two days, one day to load and return about 40 kms. back to Delta where they are located, then charge me again the 40kms. + 50 kms to do the move the following day. I tried to negotiate that the truck and movers stay over in a motel in Gibsons as this was cheaper for me, than the quote of 16 hrs. over the two day period. We negotiated down to 12 hrs. and doing the move in one day. I had no way of knowing what the actual clock time was for the return, so don't know if the price was accurate. They charge full price for driving from their facility to your home, rather than a cheaper rate. In Vancouver traffic this is unreasonable as the congestion is so heavy. I was told that my white sofa and chair would be shrink wrapped and this was not done, so soil marks occurred. An expensive coffee table had one leg broken off and taped back on by the movers. I discovered this the next day and reported it. I was given a small allowance of $150 to cover the damage. I was very disappointed with Highland, their coordinator was great to work with, but I think the quality of the movers employed left something to be desired. One showed up late and as I was paying an hourly rate for three persons, an allowance was made for the time that only two workers were on site.

I have used Highland Van and Storage twice and I would never use anyone else. The recent move was from Pitt Meadows to Prince George and despite all the challenges with timing (moving just before Christmas) and a broken highway system they got my belonging to PG safe and sound and on time. When my flight was delayed, I asked Jorgen, the driver, if they could possibly deliver my belongings without me there. They did. And they did a great job. My bed was set up, the boxes were organized in every room. Jorgen shot me a text to let me know everything was good and to wish me luck on my flight. Pretty awesome. Nice people and great service. When it came to unpacking all my boxes were labeled clearly so I knew what was where and not one item was broken or missing. I highly recommend letting them pack for you. Arlene will co-ordinate your move and work with you to ensure everything goes smoothly. I wouldn't use anyone else.

Moving home internationally is a stressful experience, especially in these Covid times. But from the start of the process the team at Highland Worldwide made it feel relaxed and stress free. Karen was awesome to deal with, got us the quote quickly and answered all our questions promptly and gave us great advice. The 4 person team that came to pack and load were amazing. Cher and Jim were so organized and personable, it was easy to tell they had worked together for many years and really knew their business. Our 3 bedroom house got packed up in a day, with another day to load. The teams both days were awesome. Interestingly, half the team were women, which we'd never seen before, and we really enjoyed a fun, professional and enthusiastic atmosphere with them. We've moved many times, and this is by far the best move all around that we've ever had. Positives: - The crew that came to our house to pack our breakables were very helpful, courteous and professional...they did a great job and went above and beyond to make sure we were ready to go for our move date. - The crew that came to load our goods were all awesome guys. They arrived at our house as scheduled and had us packed up very quickly. They paid attention to detail and made sure that things were not damaged etc. -The crew that came to our new house to unload our goods were also all good guys, very friendly and hard workers. They asked us questions to make sure things went where we wanted them and were careful not to damage our new house when moving things in. Negatives: The overall coordination of our move was poor. The Highland rep we dealt with was slow to repsond and under communicated after we received our quote. My impression was that she was too busy to deal with our questions and concerns. We had to prompt her on many items and then wait for a reply. The lack of communication made our move more stressful and made us feel like we were not valued as a customer Some examples: - we asked for packing paper and tape and then waited two days for a reply that included "...U-haul sells paper and tape if you need some to get you started" - we asked for boxes, waited two days for a final reponse and received "I checked the warehouse today and we have no used cartons. To be honest with you, your best bet would be Home Depot. Their prices are below my cost of new." When my wife mentioned this to the crew that came to pack our breakables their response was "We have lots of boxes, we're a moving company" - We had to prompt for confirmation of when the crew was coming to pack our breakables and the last two e-mails I sent regarding delivery date weren't even answered. - It was clear when the crew was unloading our goods at our new house that there was no continuity between the loading crew and unloading crew. Consequently some of our items were not reassembled (i.e. our refrigerator, some shelving units) The role of coordinating a move is an important one and was not executed well for our move. I know we moved at the busiest time of year but that shouldn't be the customer's issue....

Mark and his team did an excellent job for us. They arrived on time, got started quickly, and were very organized in how they gathered the furniture to pack it on the truck tightly. Everything was wrapped to prevent damage to fabrics or fine surfaces. The three of them were moving at a good clip the entire time of the move, and wasted no time whatever. They were so efficient that the entire move from our 2200 sq feet home to our new 1600 square feet took less than the 6 hours quoted, and cost us $400 less than the estimate. We arrived at our new home earlier than the 12 noon possession time. Mark and his team stood by and waited for us to confirm with the seller of the home, that it was now okay for us to move in earlier than the agreed upon time. Could not have been happier with Highland from the professional estimating process completed by Arlene Kenny to the follow-up questions and details including the ease of picking up packing boxes at MY convenience from Christine and Anna in the Company's warehouse/offices. The women who aided in the packing were courteous, efficient, creative and skilled. The staff available during the unloading were likewise great to work with. One wine glass was broken and the base of a wall unit was slightly damaged but everything else survived the move from Richmond to Kelowna without a mark. The move was further complicated by having to be handled fou times as Highland looked after storing the contents of half a 53 foot trailer for three weeks while my new house was being painted and renovated. The quote was slightly on the high side (by 400 pounds); the three other quotes were similarly priced except pegged at 1600 pounds below the actual weight which means that with any of the others I would have paid significantly extra on delivery. I could not be happier with the service, attitude and professionalism received from Highland - I would recommend them to ANYONE seeking moving assistance.

We moved to Germany and hired them to move our stuff in June 6 2018. It’s now mid November and we still don’t have our belongings. Not to talk about the employees who picked up our boxes.. one smelled like liquor, the woman spend most of her time typing on her phone... not happy!!!!

My wife and I moved from Langley, BC to Tobiano, BC in November 2021, and found Highland Worldwide to be extremely competitive with their moving quote and they gave us excellent service. Our moving representative Arlene was amazing with her professionalism and service level. All the moving associates handled our belongings with the up most care during our move out in Langley and eventually the move in to our new home in Tobiano. Our moving process took three month from the time Highland Worldwide picked up and delivered our belongings because of a flood in our new home prior to us moving in. Arlene and Highland Worldwide were very understanding and helped us through our ordeal making sure our belongings were looked after until we were able to receive everything. Arlene was very professional. We had a flood in our home, she came and gave us a quote for move out and storage plus a move from the lower mainland to the Okanagan. Our furniture and belongings were in storage for almost 6 months. Anthony and his team that came to load we’re awesome. They handled our belongings with care. After almost 6 months, Arlene was very prompt at returning our call to get the final move arranged. We were able to have Anthony and one of his team do our move. They arrived right on time and did a great job. Everything arrived in excellent condition after being in storage for almost 6 months. Great experience!

We did a complex move with Highland in summer 2021 involving a move to a long-term storage facility plus a move to Highland's short-term storage warehouse and then about six weeks later a move back from Highland's warehouse to our new house. We had quotes from three companies, and while Highland's was not the lowest price, I had more confidence in their estimator Arlene and her quote than I did with the quotes from the other companies.
