Cloverdale Moving helped with our move from Calgary to Maple Ridge. We had obtained quotes from over 20 moving companies and Cloverdale had one of the more reasonable quotes. We chose to go with Cloverdale given their rating on Google Ratings and BBB. Angelo and his team communicated effectively throughout the move, they showed up to pick our stuff up in Calgary on time, held our things in their warehouse for 1 week and then moved everything to Maple Ridge on time. Our belongings showed up with minimal damage and Angelo unloaded everything for us. Any issues we encountered were quickly handled by Angelo himself. We would recommend Cloverdale Moving for anyone considering competent moving company.

Gana was very kind and patient with the many questions I had at the start. I was provided all the information needed to ensure a successful move. After looking at many options such as shipping containers, DIY moving trucks, and full service movers, Cloverdale Van Lines fit the bill for us. They have a stellar reputation, and are very responsive, punctual, and reliable. They loaded and unloaded all of our items and ensured they woul arrive to the destination safely. We moved from Burnaby BC to Calgary AB and only one of our very small low quality plastic shoe containers had any damage which we didn't really care about. Everything of ours was intact including all fragile kitchen items. We packed most things ourselves prior to pickup but the team was super helpful in wrapping large items with moving blankets, and the way they're able to pack the items in the truck securely and safely for the long haul was impressive! The price was reasonable considering how much weight we had, don't underestimate how much weight you have! If you want peace of mind not having to worry about moving stuff yourself call Cloverdale Moving Vanlines for sure!

My wife and I moved from Surrey, BC to Vancouver, WA a week ago. Angelo and his team went above and beyond. The bill came in slightly higher than the estimate, but ultimately it came down to the weight of our belongings. I didn't expect them to be able to guess the weight of 45 boxes and some furniture. Angelo provided timestamped receipts of the empty truck and then after loading our belongings he went directly back to the scale and then texted us another timestamped receipt of the truck weight with our items. The estimate was for 3800 pounds and the items weighed in around around 4600. We were happy with the final price. It was still cheaper than PODS and they provided the immense help of loading and unloading our items. I was impressed by how well our items were wrapped in blankets and packed in the truck. The truck had to go through US customs and Angelo provided us with updates before they left Canada and after they crossed the border. It must have been a long day for him because he told me that he left for the border at 5am, then they arrived with our stuff in Vancouver, WA around 1pm and then he was going directly back home. When Angelo arrived at our new place, he carefully unloaded our stuff. Because it was just him and his wife, I started to help unload, but he quickly and kindly asked me to let him handle it. It really felt like they were top notch professionals. He wasn't in a rush and even helped us put the furniture pads on our large sofa. We really appreciated all of his effort and helpful attitude. After all of the items were unloaded and the papers were signed, instead of leaving quickly, Angelo took the time to ask if there was anything we needed help with. He helped us move our mattress and a few items upstairs. This was our first long distance move and Angelo made it seamless. I would highly recommend Cloverdale Moving Vanlines.

I am so appreciative that Cloverdale Moving VanLines was so accommodating of my disabilities. I have auditory problems and they were happy to work around it by communicating 90% by email and when the phone was necessary Angelo was very careful to annunciate and speak slowly. In-person both Mike and Angelo stood back to lower their masks so I could read lips to understand 100% what was being said. They were conscientious of COVID and made sure to follow BC's restrictions carefully. From estimate to the final bill, they were upfront at every stage about the cost and were absolutely on the dollar. There were no surprises. The elevator in my building broke the day before my move and Mike and Angelo were forced to carry everything up and down the stairs, which they did not only without complaint but cheerfully. In fact, they were very friendly and happy all around. My belongings were well wrapped and taken care of both while being loaded and unloaded and arrived at the destination without a scratch. 10/10 would absolutely use again.

We moved from Vancouver to Kamloops. I don't move very often. Here are some of the elements we faced in our move and how Cloverdale handled them: (1) we moved in March and the Coquihalla mountain pass was slippery on moving day > Angelo (the company's owner) took responsibility for driving the truck and ensuring its safe arrival (2) only half of the apartment was moved > the team needed to be sharp - reading box labels carefully, listening to instructions, etc.and Mike was *fantastic* at this and extremely careful at packing fragile, stained glass lamps, for example! (3) we obtained 3 quotes online; the final weight exceeded all 3 estimates by more than 100% > Angelo was very thorough in explaining their process and providing before- and after- photographs of the moving truck's scale readings * Cloverdale is locally-owned, so it's not a different person you talk to each time. As the owner, Angelo makes a point of focusing on the customer. * We might have been surprised at the total weight of the load *but* we never questioned Cloverdale's integrity or process, especially because of the time they spent educating us upfront. * What's always the true proof of a recommendation - would you hire them again? Yes, without question!

I have used Cloverdale moving several times over the past 15 years. They have always done a great job in a timely matter and go out of their way to do the extra little things for you. They are very honourable and up front by providing the receipts from the weigh scale. Cost more than I thought but certainly not their fault. I only wish they still did local moves but I would certainly highly recommend them for city to city moving.

Moved two bedroom from Surrey to Prince George. I worked out searching cost effective transportation/moving options to save extra bucks, found Cloverdale Van Lines quote reasonably very low. Angelo and his team is amazing, provided me quality and professional service. Loaded items including TVs and Glass Jars and other delicacies traveled 800km and remained safe.They delivered as promised, in a friendlier manners and no hidden costs. EDIT: after leaving this review, this company threatened legal action from their lawyer! Cloverdale denies that any of the below information is true.... We moved from Calgary to Kelowna using Cloverdale van lines. To start things off they cancelled and rescheduled our moving appointment the day before, which was very inconvenient because our tenants were taking possession of our home that day. Punctuality is something that needs to be counted on when you're moving homes. The final price was double what they quoted. Its stunning to have to pay double after assuming the quote would be somewhat accurate for our size of condo and amount of belongings. None of our items were wrapped or protected by the movers when loaded on the truck. A few things were broken and no compensation was offered (patio furniture and some lighting). Some furniture was disassembled for moving but the movers didnt offer to reassemble anything they had taken apart upon delivery. Because furniture wasnt wrapped it was scratched and chipped during the move. No flooring protection was used in our homes during pickup or delivery. We moved from Calgary and snow and mud was tracked throughout our house, we then had to have the floors recleaned for our new tenants. The movers were polite but refused to wear masks in our home. One coincidence was that the moving truck actually ended up at one point driving behind my wife's vehicle on the way to our destination during a snowstorm on the highway. Now knowing it was her vehicle, the movers were honking and aggressively pushing her vehicle in a careless and unsafe manner with the stormy highway road conditions. I'll mention she was driving with our newborn baby. I cant justify rating this company more than 1 star.

Angelo and Mike are professional, honest, kind, hard working and efficient. They were very careful with every item as well as the house and did not dirty or scratch anything. No hidden fees or extra charges after the fact, everything was explained to us up front and they stuck to it. I was worried about moving so many fragile items but they took very good care of everything. Thank you very much for a smooth and successful move across provinces.

I almost never bother to write reviews, but had to write one for Cloverdale because the experience was so fantastic. I originally chose them for my out-of-province move because they had a great base price and rate, the best reviews, the fastest response time, and the most genuinely friendly approach during our interactions. They were on time (even delivering a day earlier than scheduled), efficient with loading, unloading, and protecting what I had neglected to properly get ready for the move (e.g., taking table legs off), and used their moving blankets effectively to protect my furniture and my floors. They were also very frank throughout the process - about all costs and how they are calculated, with before and after truck weights (including pictures of the scale, with time and date), how they pack their truck (even showing me the inside of their truck just before leaving), and what would happen to my things during the delay between pickup and delivery. Later on as they were unloading, they also pointed out items that may have been damaged - although they were mistaken on most of them, because the damages brought to my attention had been done by previous movers (the only things I had to touch up in the end were the back panels of a dresser and a shelving unit, and only to nail them back down). I’ve moved about 18 times so far, so I had completely expected more damage, given that there is always a little bit in every move. They were very reasonable, respectful, and accommodating with scheduling at both ends (as far as they could), and were incredibly professional and patient - even going the extra mile in getting my enormous, heavy couch into my new place despite the tiny, old elevator. I was convinced I'd have to call someone to dispose of it, but they wanted to try and eventually got it up by the stairs instead, which really amazed me. I really doubt other movers would have given the same effort; I've had to dispose of 2 couches in the past because of similar circumstances. Couldn’t be happier about selecting them for my move.

This is not a review like the other reviews, written by the owner. I work in the Real Estate industry and we recommended this company to our clients. It was a big mistake. Everything went wrong. First, they showed up and hour-and-a-half late. Next, they didn't have enough wrapping supplies, boxes, etc. Next, our client's goods were damaged. Worse, they lied about when the truck was leaving and when it would arrive at their new destination. The truck ended up being four weeks late. Let me repeat — four weeks. We did some research, and amongst real estate brokers, it is well known that this is weak moving company with a poor reputation. We strongly suggest going with established companies and you can their positive reviews at Yelp or Homestars. But avoid this company. If you don't, you will be sorry.

They were probably the least stressful part of us moving from Alberta to BC.
