We’ve hired Accent Moving twice now, both times, for big moves. Right away, we were pleased with their ability to assess our belongings and how many trucks/movers we’d need. Some other companies seemed to not understand how much stuff we had and how many hours it would realistically take to move. Accent gave us an accurate quote and we didn’t get a nasty surprise at the end. The movers were hard workers and were able to make moving day as little stress as possible for us. Nothing got damaged, as they wrapped furniture when necessary. I’d hire them again!

This is the definition of the Moving Scam that other Movers I spoke to tried to warn me about! I distinctly stated that I had a well furnished 2 bedroom space, and the type of space they’ll be moving me from, and into. I was quoted $95.00 an hour, and that the Move would be done in 4 hrs. Realistically I knew that would be impossible, and planned for double that time. Jake and one other Guy, took 11 hrs to Move me! The longest local Move in history! And I’ve moved enough times to know! Even with amateurs, Family and Friends, Moving 4 and 5 bedroom houses, have a Move ever taken this long! I had to listen to the complaints about how heavy my furniture was, and the fact that they had to walk six doors from the elevator to my Unit! Also was told by Jake that this is the biggest Move he’d ever done! A 2 bedroom Condo content! If this is your best Accent Movers! I’d dread even more to see your worse! And, not to mention the anger Jake demonstrated towards me when I complained about the many many smoke breaks he took! I understand that they needed to take Breaks! Hell, I made sure to supply them with water and fruits, and bought them Pizzas for sustenance! Regretted doing that in the end, when he left and swung my front door against the wall! Luckily my Son was in the Condo with me, or I would have felt endangered! I called the Company to complain, and Don who called me back, was totally defending this behaviour, insisting that that’s his best Movers! Inside Company scam! To milk a Move for all that they can! Not acceptable!

I hired Accent to move our elderly neighbour into an independent living facility in December. The whole move was wonderful. The two movers were timely, helpful, kind and professional. They provided plastic “blue bins” a month before the move to get the planning underway. All this made for a very smooth move. I would highly recommend this company to anyone seeking to have a hassle free move.

Great move from Vancouver to Ontario. You pay for what you get in the moving industry...and we couldn't afford 5star but felt these guys delivered solid 4 star service. Good labour is hard to find and these guys did what they needed to do.

We used this company to pack up our home and store our belongings for two weeks before moving it to our new home. They ruined so many of our items by shoving our entire house into one truck when clearly two trip were needed. The leg was broken off our daughter’s bookshelf and two legs were broken from her dresser. Her crib was taken apart and the pieces were misplaced as well as one leg being broken off. They blamed us for the missing pieces even though we didn’t disassemble it. It took WEEKS for them to rectify the crib issue, not once were they concerned that we actually needed it for our baby to sleep in. Luckily we had just purchased another crib for our third baby, so our daughter was able to use that in the meantime. One of our mirrored nightstands was broken. Our mattress wasn’t wrapped properly so it was filthy. Our bed frame was chipped. There were several squished boxes, one of which was one that contained all of my Swarovski crystals that my Dad bought me in my childhood. Several were broken and superglued back together in their joke of a repair job. Two deliveries were required to bring our belongings to our home which were several weeks apart. No apologies were ever offered and no money was refunded from the thousands we paid aside from that of the broken nightstand. Very disrespectful moving company. Never use them.

Great service with the crew (Rick and Steve) who helped to move some large mirrors. Nice and communicative throughout the process . Would hire again. However, there seemed to be a communication issue between the lady on the phone who I called initially as my movers didn't know they were moving mirrors.

So far NOT so good. Based on reading some of the responses by this company from the bad reviews, I'm going to be a realistic as possible. The quote from Rod to "Pack- 3men team 95/hr" and "Move - also 3 men team @130/hr" from our 3bdrm duplex was 7 hrs each day (sat and sun) plus travel time etc. was estimated about $1800+ 220 storage. The packing guys however only 2 showed up Junior & Scott both good guys..on Saturday about 80%packed in under 6hrs. Next day- the big move/loading up- Steve/Mike and Scott returned- good crew again and got 'er done. I was told by Scott that hes only gonna be charging for the moving day-$1000 total (and i deal with Wes regarding an apparent incorrect quote for packing that i asked about since it got changed to $130 / hr now for packing instead of the original $95 per) Called Wes on Sunday. Checked my Visa Monday night and they already charged me $2300 with no explanation , no invoice. Jobs not even completed yet as all my stuff is in their storage right now. To me, thats very unprofessional and not the way to do business. Called again Tuesday and Wednesday, no pickup no phone call return. Called office number no pickup as well. So far not a very happy customer.

The two gentlemen handling our move arrived 45 minutes late. They refuted the quoted price for the move and complained about the owners of the company. They referred to our belongings as “f**ing s**t” loudly to one another. They arrived to our new apartment reeking of marijuana. They left our belongings completely unattended. They blocked our neighbours door with furniture. They damaged a number of items. Upon follow up with the manager we arranged the move with, he stated the movers denied these accusations and offered us $200 off a bill that was more than double what was quoted. I reached out to the manager about my concerns and also mentioned that a box containing alcohol had gone missing and he never responded.

Rick and I believe it was Troy, moved a massive treadmill for me from a difficult location in a household basement to an office. It was not easy to get it out but they did a great job, without a scratch anywhere and in a timely manner. Rick was great to deal with when booking the date for their visit. As long as you know what you are wanting from them and are clear on that and have no hidden expectations, Accent Moving will not let you down. They will be my first call the next time I need movers. Highly reccommend!

Usually get friends to help me move, but due to covid, no one wanted to help, was recommended to accent moving by a friend, definnetly will use them again, in the future., $95/per hr, is a little steep, but %100 worth it.

Had a team of 3 guys help with our move. Showed up on time and looked professional. But as the day went on, we realized that 2 of the 3 guys were very inexperienced and unprofessional. My new furniture was all scratched. They scratched up the walls of home we were sold and moving out of. I had to take pictures of all the damage and show my realtor that the movers ruined all the work we did to touch up the house prior to our sale. When we moved into the new home, they re-built our bed completely wrong - pieces were loose and falling apart. When you get on the bed, it creaks. We have been so busy with a new baby on the way that I haven't been able to get it fixed and wonder if it is fixable. I would not pay money for these movers.

Just want to say that we had a great moving & storage experience with this company. They moved us into their storage in January and we just moved into our new home and everything arrived on time and without any damage. We had Don come to our house for an in-home estimate and everything was moved stored and moved again for the cost he quoted. My wife and I being in our mid 60's were very nervous about such an ordeal but the crew at Accent made us very happy. We would recommend Accent Moving & Storage to everyone. Thanks again guys! June 24th 2017 - blistering HOT outside and not a complaint or negative comment from Jake and Troy - our fun, personable movers for the day! They hustled and nothing was broken or damaged! That's because they cared as much as I do about my belongings - wrapped in quilts and taped tight, sofas completely wrapped up, my new dining room table and chairs all tended to very carefully- even put the legs back on my table for me!. Not to mention my antique piano that my late father-in-law gutted and turned into a china cabinet for me - burled walnut and HEAVY! I'd recommend Accent Moving & Storage to anyone looking for a decent, reasonably priced, helpful and efficient moving company! Thanks a LOT for making my move a pleasant one!! Jennifer Hilton-Main

Great Movers! My realtor referred this company to me and I was so nervous moving from New West to Kamloops. They came and provided an estimate. I booked based on the estimate and the professional nature of Wes the estimator. The crew arrived on time, they were very efficient and they delivered on time and the price was as quoted. 2 early twenty something Millennials show up and park next to a hydrant. The first thing they do is get out and have a cigarette telling me that "They've never had a problem before' what? in all their many years of experience. They spent half their time by the truck smoking. They got the address and started off 5 minutes before me. I waited for 45 minutes for them to show up. They parked in the middle of the block while I was waving my arms at the end. One guy was 130 lbs or so and couldn't lift properly. The $1000+ bill for a $350 quote. I even helped with the moving and assembling. It wasn't even a full move. This was just what was left in the place after a staging! Maybe they were smoking something other than cigarettes. I realized later that I wasn't just supposed to be a client but their boss as they were both not self accountable. They blocked other people's doorways and had my stuff strewn between the door of my condo and the elevator. When I complained they told me again that they "Never had a problem before". Yeah well you can run across a highway 10 times and not get hit for 9 of them, but.... Seriously. These guys were cheaper than the majority of movers by rates but WAY more expensive in the end.

I had a very last-minute move coming up for Sunday. The communication via phone was easy and quick. They even waved the 3-hour minimum rate for the weekend since I only had a really small bedroom to move. Jack and his colleague called before they arrived. They were on time, friendly and helpful. The whole move was done within 1.5 hours. Very pleasant experience.

Horrible customer service from Wes regarding our move Feb. 22nd. When movers were 30 minutes late, I called to inquire. Wes said he'd look into it. Wes had registered the move for the wrong day. Human error happens, my frustration came from how Wes handled the situation and his lackadaisical attitude. Movers showed up almost 3 hours late (2 guys, I had arranged for 3). I thanked them right away, as the issue was with Wes, not the men that come to our rescue. The movers were older and slow, however, did their best. I received a text message from Wes during the day, suggesting "I reset" Hmmm, is that the same as calm down, next came an apology followed by a but....Even with my husband and I both helping, the move wasn't complete until after dark. When it came time for the bill, movers insisted on cash. They did waive the hour travel time, as well as 1.5 hours off the total. When unpacking, I discovered several broken items. I sent photos to Wes to show broken items were in bubble wrap. I have not yet heard from Accent Moving. If you are thinking of hiring movers, don't use this company!! In reply to your response Wes. You didn't acknowledge an error on your end. I had to ask you what happened during our second conversation. Your crew declined the additional crew member, not myself. Empathy and understanding on your part would have gone a long way. Checking in with me at least once during the move. You didn't even call me the next day when I sent you pictures of my broken items. I am very careful in posting reviews, as you can see from my history. In this instance. I feel it was warranted. Please use this as a learning experience and take a look at your communication with your customers. Your online communication does not match what your were like on the phone or by the one text message you sent me.

We just moved today. We always dread moving. So stressful and we've previously had so many problems with movers damaging items, walls etc. One time our movers just neglected to show up at all! Today was amazing. Jake introduces himself right away with a great attitude and firm handshake. Then I notice his young helpers look like Olympic athletes. These guys busted their butts, wrapped all beds and furniture and moved everything at a rapid pace. No broken or scratched items. This is the best moving experience in my 50 years hands down. Moved out of a 2 bedroom apartment into a townhome end of October. The two guys (Jake and Mike) were awesome, didn't damage anything and were very efficient. The whole job was five hours, Im thankful we had them to help us & would recommend them to anyone.
