We moved into a new home last weekend and Hugo's handled all of the heavy lifting very well. A very professional team throughout our experience from booking to completion. Because ours was a new home build, we had to delay our move in date twice, and Amanda was incredibly flexible and helpful accommodating our request. On the day of the move, the team arrived on time, ready to go, and full of energy. They were very careful with the new house, laid down lots of blankets and covers, and worked very efficiently. I would not hesitate for a second referring Hugo's to anyone!

I recently moved from Vernon to Vancouver. Since I didn't have too much time I decided to go with a local moving company and Hugo's Moving showed up at the top of the list with the highest number of positive reviews, so I contracted them for my move. The entire process was seamless starting with Amanda showing up the next day to assess my stuff to move. I had furniture in two bedrooms and 1 motorcycle. On the day of the move the packers (Cole and Colson if I remember correctly) showed up on time and started packing/loading my stuff. I really appreciate that they did their job with a smile on their face and were extremely flexible to last minute changes. They made sure to use carpets on the floor and padding on the walls to ensure no scratches were left in the house and all my furniture was wrapped with carpets. Kyle was there to make sure my motorcycle, which is dear to me, was loaded up good. The consignment arrived as planned and on time. There was a quick pit stop made to my storage facility in Vancouver to off-load some of my stuff there and the balance was taken to my apartment. One box was taken to my apartment instead of being left at the storage facility and Kyle was quick to offer to take it back after they were done at the residence. The entire move was quick, painless, delivered as promised with absolutely no dings, dents or scratches and everything in one piece. Overall I cannot say how pleased I am with the move. This was my first move in Canada and I cant say I've had too much experience with this, however, with the service rendered by Hugo's Moving they'll be the first I call if I ever need to move again. After wading through a sea of horrible reviews for other moving companies I was so relieved to have Amanda call and reassure me that their reviews were all good. Not only were the reviews good but the actual move was about as good as anyone could hope for. I was very worried about the move as it was a long-haul which included many very fragile items and antiques including an upright baby grand piano. Everything was on time, no damage, no drama whatsoever. LOVE this crew, professional yet super fun....don't even bother calling anyone else.

Very unprofessional. If you are depending on a company to follow through as they say, then I suggest using someone else. I think maybe they have grown too quickly and now cannot handle the work load with the staff they have.

Hugo's Moving fit our move into their schedule when another company, that we booked with, said they were now too busy to move us. Thanks Hugo's Moving for stepping up. They arrived on time to load, did a great job of wrapping and protecting our belongings and their estimate of the loading time was almost bang on. They transported our household to another province, arrived on time to unload and all went well, no damages, no concerns. Very professional and easy to talk to. I would absolutely use Hugo's Moving again.

Quote and estimate went fine. Packing process was very disorganized as my wife had to babysit the Packers and call kyle to tell him that they had missed entire cupboards and closets. Move out was very disorganized as my wife had to babysit and make sure belongings weren't left behind. When they made it to the backyard they realized THE UHAUL THAT THEY RENTED, wasn't big enough and kyle asked my wife what she wanted to leave behind!!!! She had to call a friend with a trailer to come pickup several things from the backyard to get out of there because we had to leave them behind. Move in day they showed up 5 hours late due to trailer light troubles. Movers were unfriendly to the neighbors autistic son when he said hello to them. The final straw was after unloading and unpacking finding out that my dewalt drill and jigsaw went "missing". I called kyle multiple times to figure it out and he said the brand new packers he hired "wouldn't do that". I was diplomatic about it trying to figure out a solution and he basically blamed me for it and said he had no solution for me. After having to pay 1200 for packing and 3300 prior to them moving in to the new house the process should've been relatively painless and it was hardly that.

We would have been lost without Kyle and his crew! They unloaded our 26' uhaul in under 2 hours and were careful and professional. They brought all the supplies they would need to make it smooth and efficient. It is evident Kyle has a lot of experience in moving and we would hire him again in a heartbeat!

They sent a crew to get our stuff moved in May of 2019. The guys showed up early, got right to work, and worked really hard. At times they were almost running back and forth to the truck. These guys really could not have worked harder. They were reasonably careful with our stuff and courteous throughout. I would absolutely call them again.

Hugo's moved us this August we found the staff very friendly and professional even when one of the movers did some minor damage to a wall and a light. As the broken light was discontinued and we couldn't find one that matched they asked us to pick out a new one we took a picture of the light and sent it to Amanda she had an electricion come to our home and install the new light. As for the damage to our wall they had A-1 painting come and completely repainted the wall they even fixed the other defects in the wall.

Hugo's came to the rescue with my last minute request to move my old upright piano from my garage to my living room... and this was no easy feat. The crew were friendly, efficient, and respectful. Amanda, the office manager, was also very friendly, super accommodating, flexible, and kind. In saying all this, if you are looking for movers who can get the job done, and at a reasonable price, I would highly recommend Hugo's!

I had a great start with Hugo's moving company with Amanda and her visit to do an estimate on my move. But then everything went downward when the moving day arrived, The movers were a little late. The driver Kyle, very unfriendly from the start. I caught him on his phone a few times during the move, his music was loud and innapropriate and he refused to wear a mask in a common lobby area where masks were mandatory. He was pushing the other mover to go faster, the cardboard wardrobes were not ready. I set them up with the help of the other mover. Very unprofessional. They were slow and making jokes, laughing disrespectfully. Arriving to destination, a tree was damaged. The cleaning of branches on sidewalk and property was not 100% cleaned. I ended up cleaning it. They left without taking the wrappers around the cough and loveseat. I unwrapped it. Now I discovered last week, yes 3.5 weeks later, that the floor was damaged by one of the mover. When I was asked to sign the final paper, I trusted the company that there was no damage done. When I moved the loveseat, last week because I was organizing my furniture the way I wanted it in the living room, well my loveseat was stuck into the floor , because it was pushed hard by the mover after he put the legs back ...he jyst pushed the loveseat and it made a whole into the floor. Now I have to fight with the company to fix the damage that was done by the mover. I did not damage the floor. It's a very frustrating situation. I do not recommend this moving company at all. I am not a mover, I trusted them as they are the professionals. Was I supposed to tell them how to behave and do their job? Babysat them? NO! I want the floor that they damaged to be fixed. Now am I suppose to get legal aid? Don't they have insurance when they damaged properties?

Kyle and his team have helped us move before (a fantastic experience that was), and he came to my rescue this time in moving my monolith Quad electrostatic speakers to a buyer in Vancouver. As ever, the entire experience was seamless and I had complete confidence in their ability to move a very delicate pair of HEAVY speakers with the appropriate care and diligence. As ever, my confidence was completely justified. In our life, we have moved several times across countries, continents and cities. I have no hesitation in stating that Kyle and Hugo's Moving are up there with the best movers internationally.

The quality of their work was beyond my expectations. Hugo's did a very professional job of moving me from the Shuswap to the Fraser Valley. In particular kudo's go to Dave, a lead driver and mover, and Amanda who handles logistics/admin. Dave and his partner worked very fast at wrapping all of my furniture pieces in moving blankets and a lot of tape in order to prevent any damage. This was considered a long distance move.

Terrible service. Multiple pieces of furniture and appliances damaged. Hugo's refused to answer any of our calls or emails when we requested help in how to proceed with damage claims. Hugo's advertised that they were fully insured for big and small damages. They refuse to take responsibility for dropping our fridge when one of the movers slipped on their truck ramp. My wife was there when this happened. Amanda of Hugo's said the damage was our fault because we failed to have clear walkways as it was snowing. This is untrue. We shovelled and salted the entrance and it was Hugo's that did not clear their own truck ramp of snow. They are now denying they are responsible and that they do not have to repair or replace any of our damaged items. I would not recommend them to anyone.

I called Hugo's to move an antique piano from my cousin's house in Vernon to my own house in Kelowna. From the moment I spoke with Hugo's on the phone, I knew we (and the beloved piano) would be taken care of. The move was prompt and very well executed and Kyle and his gang were very polite, friendly and respectful of me, my kiddos, our pup and our home. I would highly recommend the team and would use their services again in a heartbeat. Thank you so much! PS Their prices are very reasonable!

Hugo moving helped bail us out after Clydesdale moving decided ththeththey would rather drink the afternoon away on a patio on a beautiful Saturday, than do the move they were hired a month in advance for. (This was confirmed, btw. They were spotted drinking in town) Hugo moving stepped up and tacked us on to the end of their already busy day, and even though it was a long one and they didnt get started at our home until after 8pm, they moved quickly and efficiently. They even took the time and care to wrap our furniture and after moving us into the new house, and the time was after 11pm and they had been working over 14 hours that day, they still offered to out together our beds. We obviously let them go graciously without having to do the extra work. These guys were fantastic and we are incredibly thankful to Hugo moving for saving moving day for us, in one that Clydesdale moving had initially turned into a disaster.

Poor Sec I e from beginning abs asked the people to leave within one hour due to driver being upset accusing Amanda of lying yelling while he was. Then after a call, refused to speak and accused me of lying. Continued to escalate and felt hard done by. Yelling increased and upset about being used inappropriately by Amanda and loosing many coworkers. One co-worker quite abs walked away within half and hour. No reasoning and increasing disrespect for personal property when asked to offload. It was a threatening experience Amanda also did not accurately write what was told to her therefore also accused me of misrepresenting the work which was always 3 storage units, one at one site and two at the other. Wouldn’t have missed that one because I paid abs extra month rental waiting for them to help me!

I cannot thank this company enough for the quick response and willingness to fit in my grandparents move this past weekend when our other mover bailed on the day of. Amanda sent over Tim and Cole who showed up not even an hour after I called and they loaded and unloaded all of it within 2 hours. Tim and Cole stayed after the last piece was unloaded to help us position the furniture in the new space and Amanda popped by to see how things were going just as they were finishing up. I highly recommend this company for your move, I will definitely be calling them for my next move.

Hugo's Moving Vernon did a wonderful job for us in all respects. They packed our house for moving and placement in storage, while our new home was in the process of being finished, in a timely and efficient manner, the crew was terrific in taking care of our belongings. When our new home was ready they loaded our belongings from storage and delivered them to the home very efficiently. In downsizing, as we were, it takes some time to place effects as you would like and consequently, almost a month and half later we found small damage to a painting, when informed of this there was no hesitation and the item was repaired right away. We would recommend this company highly.

The move went off without a hitch. Price was actually a tad less than the quote. The movers showed up on time, Jake, Silver and Kalem. The lads went straight to work, covered all the furniture. They were very courteous and cheerful about their work. Amanda showed up mid morning to check how things were going, that was considerate. My move was from Vernon to a storage unit in Vernon. 6.5 hours for my mountain of stuff. Great job boys. I need to move from the storage unit to my new home in the fall. It will definitely be Hugo's

They broke our exercise bike it is useless now. They still have a few of our boxes still from our move a month and a half ago, which they promised to return. They were in a real hurry to drive to our place and estimate the move...but not so fast on returning our stuff. Not even an apology for breaking the exercise bike. We understand that things happen, but their response was we have to check the contract. I would look elsewhere for a moving company

First, I would like to say Amanda in the office was great to talk/ deal with but that’s where the pleasantry ended. When dealing with the driver, who I believe said his name was Kyle, I had the most negative and unprofessional experience with Hugo moving. He was beyond rude, pushy and he reeked of marijuana so I can only assume he was high. I don’t recommend this company to anyone.
