This company blatantly gave us wrong information about pricing! First, they sent us an excel sheet for us to fill out to get an estimate, and the estimate was significantly lower (almost half!!) than what we ended up paying. Even though we filled out the excel sheet in detail, and sent many detailed pictures on what needs to be moved. That's not the worst part. They confirmed, by email nonetheless, that we would pay packing and moving on the things not packed, and only moving charges on the things we already packed. I took off a week off work and spent days packing to cut down on our moving cost. They send us a bill after that with the packing and moving charges for EVERYTHING! I sent them the email they had sent us and they brushed it off by saying it was a "misunderstanding"! Even though the email correspondance was very clear!!!! They gave us the wrong information initially so that we commit with them and then they charged the full amount!! We had to pay because they would not unload the stuff from the truck to our new place until we did so! In addition to all of that they shipped things that were not supposed to be shipped and I explicitly mentioned to them in an email not to ship it. Now I have to send it back at my expense. There were also dents in some of our furniture. I usually don't write bad reviews, but I felt that I had to share this with those considering to move with Atlantic Coast movers

I can honestly say that I've never been more impressed than I was with this company! The excellent service began while setting up the move, when Gary pulled up both the old and new locations online to view the properties and we agreed on a game plan for the logistics of the move. This totally set my mind at ease. The movers were fantastic in every way! They were incredibly efficient, careful, courteous, and had great personalities as well! They went "above and beyond" to make sure everything was taken care of at both ends of the move. The temperature was incredibly low and uncomfortable but the guys kept their cool! Very impressed with this company and highly recommend; they did a remote viewing which was quick and easy, and sent a quote the next day which was very reasonable compared to other companies. I paid for them to pack as well as move, and this was done super efficiently and thoroughly, with no breakages when I unpacked. I have moved quite a few times in the past years due to military relocations. In every move prior, I have encountered unforeseen charges, delays, and a few broken/lost items along the way. This has been the most seamless of them all. It did seam a little daunting when I was originally going through the stuff we were moving. Mark did a really good job of explaining the process, truly. I could list a host of dos and don'ts but that would be wasting everybody's time. There are a number of websites from movers that give a step by step guide on how and when to do things which I found very helpful. I had five different estimates from what I considered reputable movers from what I found online and on Mymovingreviews. I choose Atlantic not because of price and reviews but also I felt comfortable dealing with the agent John. He answered all my questions to my satisfaction, I had a price with the need to weigh everything and the price fell within the parameters of the others somewhere in the middle. Arrived on time to pack the items I wanted handled with extra care. It was worth the extra money to do this. Most of the packing however was done by my partner and I. Let me say this that although some friends helped us moving is a young person's game. As seniors and living in our home for 38 years the amount of work was staggering and that was after all the selling, donating and throwing away tons of things. The movers arrived as scheduled and did a very professional job getting everything into the truck including packing the truck properly. I had no complaints about how the move went at all. Once they reach our new home they use a local crew and they did a fine job also. Although I suggest that you do your homework research online is a great resource. As for Atlantic I recommend them very highly.

We moved from Kelowna to Thornhill ON. We decided to go with Atlantic because their estimate was good and they seemed like a reputable company. We are overall very happy with how things went. They had the Movers pack up our stuff and move it out of Kelowna and deliver in Thornhill a few weeks later. All of the people we communicated via email with were quick to respond, courteous, helpful and accommodating. The people who did the actual moving (Mike, Alex and Andrew and the movers who did the delivery (I did not catch their names) were punctual, careful and efficient. That's really all you can ask for. The delivery worked out faster than estimated.I would recommend this company and use again if needed.

I Would give them a Minus 10 but I have to give 1 star to post and I am not giving because I liked their service. They destroyed or damaged so much of my belongings, they ripped my mattress, scratched my hardwood table set, cracked my TV Broke my desk with Marble Top and so so much more. When I tried to put a claim in they denied it asking for more info, I sent Pictures and so forth and to this day 8 Months later Still nothing from them. I would never recommend them nor would I ever use them again. Total Crooks from start to finish. I paid them 24000 to move my home and my business. utter mistake and i was treated like I was the problem not them. If anyone wants to see pictures of the damage and a receipt of my bill I will gladly without hesitation provide it to them. I cannot STRESS HOW BADLY I WAS TREATED BY THEM AND HOW THEY AVOIDED MY WRITTEN CLAIMS (HAVE EMAILS TO PROVE IT> ANYONE AND I REPETE ANYONE WHO USES THEM CAN EXPECT ISSUES> JAMES SNOW MOVED FROM HANOVER TO NFLD So you are denying that I tried to submit a claim? Your also denying I had damages? and your telling me that my total cost was 18.000 Wow your company is by far the biggest scammers I have ever in all my days on this planet encountered. Regardless of the amount of things I moved, better care and packing of my items should have been taken and the pictures do not Lie. Anyone can see from them the way the truck was packed, Items clearly marked Fragile was packed on the Bottom with heavy things placed on top. I paid 300+ dollars extra to move a Heavy Desk. I received it with a Cracked top- Care to explain that. Has for claim within 7 days.. I contacted your office the minute it was noticed, right while the movers was there. Would you like me to submit my telephone records for your review? Like I said your total scammers and you should be banned from ever operating a Moving Company because all you care about is Money and not your customers and read the reviews I am not the only one who had bad experience and was ripped off by your company do you care to explain that, Like I said I have emails I have Phone Records I have Receipts to Prove and back up my claim. Very frustrating experience. Poor communication and customer service from the people here. Our shipment (BC to NS) took almost 2 months to arrive, and they never explained the delay until after (an engine on their truck failed and had to be re-built--but why didn't they tell us this sooner?). Many items were clearly damaged, but they did their best to get out of taking responsibility and displayed no compassion or understanding of how frustrated and stressed out they made me feel throughout the whole process. The only thing they offered was 10% off my next move with them... Will not use their services again, or recommend them to anyone.

Not impressed with customer service. We moved a one bedroom with them from Vancouver to Montreal. They moved our furniture well. Nothing was broken or out of place. I was not entirely impressed with the customer service however. 1 day before drop off they tell me that they are having "technical difficulties" with credit card processing and we will need to have cash in order to get our furniture. We expressed that we did not have cash as we were solely living off of a credit card until our next payday. I expressed that this was hard for us and I asked what happens if we can't get cash in time. They told us that we would have to figure it out on our side and a man called Max replied in an email with "We hope that you will have cash for tomorrow. Let's hope for the best". which I do not believe is a full response since we needed to pay our building a large fee to secure the elevator. Since moving is stressful this also put us more into a stressful state. Day of move they said fine they'll accept credit card (what do you know). Another thing I wasn't impressed with was they said we couldn't see our furniture until we paid the full amount. It felt like they were holding our furniture hostage. We couldn't make sure the furniture was all there or not broken before we paid. As I was expressing this to the customer service guy on the phone, the guy on the phone told me to "hurry up (finish the call) because if they get a parking ticket I'll have to pay" which was very pushy and threatening. He didn't even pretend to try and understand our side or talk with us about it. So all in all they got our furniture safely from Vancouver to Montreal but I was not impressed by the customer service.

22/26 boxes arrived and only 1 was horribly damaged! Also lost our antique rocking chair. It's okay though, as they offered a $50 rebate for being a couple weeks past the upper limit of their stated delivery time. They're going to look into the missing items and should contact me "in a couple days". I'll keep you posted if I hear more... Update: The rest of the boxes finally arrived. Very annoying to have to wait another week for the remainder of our stuff after already being many days late on the initial delivery. The $50 (joke) rebate never even appeared on the final bill because "we didn't confirm that it was acceptable to us". With such great reviews online, it's surprising how horrible this experience was.

Great job with my cross country move. Everyone was nice, not pushy. Loved the free benefits of free storage for a month, free disassembly and assembly, and free wrapping materials. We are pleased to say, overall, the quote process, pick up, transfer and delivery by Atlantic was quite stress-free. The crew at Quebec end accepted suggestions and used these with their loading methods. We remarked that the coordination, steady workflow and general goodwill between them was commendable. At delivery to Toronto, the crew also willingly accepted information from us, helping them to unpack the container without damage to any item. Please don't make moving arrangements with this company. I have my property from Ottawa to Regina in July 2021. First Dave gave me the wrong quotation after sending photos. Upon delivery, I was charged a higher amount. As if that is not enough, they damaged one of my dining chairs and one of my boxes was missing. I will fight this to the last with the company. I asked for a discount, Xaiver told me that they have a way to do that.No no receipt and they will not charge me taxes and they will not report to CRA. I immediately declined. Please note a good review was done by them. The company is not professional.

Pretty big move. Two movers came and packed my belongings really carefully, wrapping and disassembling where needed. The only charge that appeared which wasn't part of the quoted sum was the "long walk" charge, but even that was hardly a hidden cost - it was listed as a possibility on the estimate. Unloading was also very straightforward. When I thought I had lost an item, the movers stayed put until I found it. I think the only thing I really lost was some inexpensive dishes, which isn't bad for a 60-item move. My eight musical instruments (including a double bass) all made it safely, and that's what's important. Would recommend it.

I recently used Atlantic coast in a move from Lethbridge to Vancouver. Moving was a very stressful time for me, a senior citizen left to pack up an entire house by herself. Atlantic put me at ease from the first salesperson on the phone to the schedulers and laborers on the trucks. Very professional and courteous at all times. Everything was on time and nothing was broken or missing from the inventory. I can’t say enough about this company. Believe me, there are a lot of unscrupulous movers out there. My furniture was picked up one day and delivered ten days later at my destination. I didn’t have to wait too long!!!

I highly recommend Atlantic Coast Movers. The packing team consisted of a team of 3 hard working individuals who got straight to work and stayed on task until the last item was in the moving van. Not one item was lost or broken upon arrival, everything arrived at its destination in good order 10 days after pack up. The team of 2 strong men worked well together unpacking the van and putting everything in place. They worked quickly and efficiently, including moving furniture the previous resident had left behind into new locations for me. I can't recommend this company highly enough. Although the actual price was higher than the original estimate, it is difficult for me, an inexperienced person moving to accurately estimate the cubic footage of all items I was moving.

Very good overall experience. Guy in customer service was prompt, responsive and helpful. They worked with us to meet our budget and a rather small pickup and delivery schedule. We had a dedicated 26 ft truck that was packed in Calgary and delivered 10 days later in Toronto. The loading crew were great. They worked neatly and carefully to package and protect our goods and did so at an incredibly fast pace. They asked questions when unsure of what we wanted and actually got more material on the truck than we expected. The delivery crew were also excellent. These two guys were right on time and unloaded, unpacked and set up our furniture in about six hours. They too were courteous, asked all the right questions and worked their tails off. I hope that I do not have to move again for a long time but if I needed to I would not hesitate to call Atlantic.

We went with this company because they offered the best rate and the lowest minimum weight. They were over 5 weeks late delivering our belongings and offered us a $100 discount to compensate. This was a pathetic offer considering we were paying $2700 to have our things moved. They also offered no updates as to where our stuff was and when it finally arrived, we were missing a box and a 32 inch TV! If you are looking for a cheap price and dont mind when your stuff arrives, this may be the company for you. If you can spare the extra money, my suggestion is to go with a more professional company. It will save you a lot of headache and frustration.

I recently downsized from a three-storey townhouse to an apartment. The biggest challenge was the spiral staircase leading up to third floor, I was surprised how efficiently Danilo and Vlad overcame this obstacle with the large bedroom furniture. Some of my stuff had to be dumped at a nearby site. Atlantic found a nearby location and only charged me a $15 additional stop fee and the time taken to complete the operation. Hired these guys a couple months ago to move from Halifax to Toronto. We moved from a 3 bedroom house to a 2 bedroom apartment that was located on second floor. The movers were supposed to arrive at 9 AM but they were late with 20 minutes. However, they did call the morning to confirm location, so we knew when they were on their way. When the movers arrived, they work hard and did a very thorough job wrapping and protecting our furniture. They were really very fast. All my stuff was safe. The estimating price from the beginning was $2200 to $2400 and the final bill was $2320. Great price for the quality we got.

They were patient with our questions and doubts and in the end they held their promises. Our final bill was $50 over the estimation so it was a very close estimation. I had recently moved with Atlantic Coast Movers and I promised to take some time and report on the experience I had with using them for my move. I am very happy to say that the service was very good and what you would expect from a moving company. I have moved several times across the country and I have had bad movers and goods arriving damaged and delays with my pickup or delivery and also had good movers but at a very high price. I have to say that I did receive an initial general quote that was very low. I contacted them after that directly by phone and actually the rep informed me that the quote may increase. I filled out an inventory form and got a revised quote. The final cost was even less than the quote. They offered mattress covers for free which was the first time someone offered it at no extra cost as all other companies were selling them. I was very surprised. We moved from Prince Albert, SK and the goods were picked between the days they promised and delivered them in about 4 days. Great service from the very start!

Atlantic Coast Movers is the best moving company that i have ever used. I Moved from Dartmouth NS to Toronto ON. It was a long distance move. The movers were professional and very fast. I spoke with Alex over the phones and he was the one who was in charge of my moving project. Everything went great, all my belongings arrived at destination on the 4th day after the pick-up and that was within the original schedule. No lost or damaged furniture, I witnessed all my furniture being wrapped with moving blankets. When you see such kind of work - you feel the true dignity of what this guys are doing.

Please don’t fall for the moving companies who quote ridiculously cheap numbers! I think it’s better to hire a company who knows how to do the job properly; even if that costs you a little more. I hired Atlantic Coast movers to handle my move because of their reputation. They are definitely not the cheapest moving company, but they charge very fairly. They really didn’t disappoint me. Their men were very efficient- from packing to loading! I was very glad to receive the delivery of all my belongings in perfect condition on the scheduled date. I really couldn’t have asked more. I think those few extra dollars really added value to this service.

I didn't want to hire a moving company - you know how they usually are. But my daughter said it's 2015 and you should hire people to do anything for you if that's more convenient and you can afford it. I just have a hard time trusting people with my belongings but I told my daughter that if something's broken or missing she was going to pay for it. This was my first time moving across country from ON to AB. I had to find decent movers for my girlfriend to move to my place. I was always skeptical about moving companies because I've heard terrible things before - stealing, damaged furniture and electronics. Sometimes they are terribly late or don't show up at all. I had to use a moving company because that's what Lisa wanted and I just wanted to simply keep her happy, she deserves it. I asked my friends and coworkers but nobody really knew anything about it. So I decided to go with Atlantic Coast Movers because they were most helpful and quick in their answers. I still decided to move the most valuable, expensive and fragile things by myself the day before the move. I couldn't be there during the move but Lisa said that the guys from Atlantic Coast Movers were working hard and were organized. When they showed up she gave them the instructions and they did everything exactly like she wanted. I even ended up paying a little under the estimated price because, like I said, I moved some of her stuff by myself the day before so it didn't take as much time for the movers to finish the job. I move quite a bit for work and chose to use Atlantic Coast Movers for my move from Nova Scotia to Ottawa based on their reviews. Let me be clear, this was my WORST moving experience to date. Not only were there multiple delays with the pickup but what was worse was the lack of communication. I had to repeatedly call the customer service representatives to stay on top of what was transpiring. I didn't feel they understood my frustration and no efforts were made to ease my mind during this stressful time. When drop-off came around, I assigned someone to receive the load. It wasn't until I arrived a week later and opened my boxes, that I noticed the multiple damages, scrapes, and scratches (not to mention a non functioning TV) as well as a missing box of kitchen appliances. I even had to contact the representatives by e-mail and phone on multiple occasions to even get a response to my initial damage claim. To which I was declined due to "the lateness of my submission". Had I known my things had a risk of being damaged to this extent, I would've made damn sure I was there to receive everything but I made the mistake of trusting this company and thinking all were in caring and sympathetic hands. My absence was taken advantage of and I know this by the way everything was dumped and left. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. THEY REFUSE TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANYTHING AND CUSTOMER SATISFACTION MEANS NOTHING TO THEM.

If you ever relocated in your life, you should be aware how difficult it is. You have to pack all your belongings and prey they shall arrive safely to your new house. That the moving company shall not be a fraud, and will leave you afterwards with your undamaged furniture and some cash in your pocket. Believe me, I know what I’m speaking about, I had some bad experience over the last 5 years, since I had to move 4 times. Well, as for me - I’m happy I found this guys. They managed to surprise me by their friendly attitude and quick labor. I moved from Calgary to Toronto within 8 days, and it was the easiest move I’ve had so far. I've used Atlantic Coast Movers for the first time. Their rates have to be close to the lowest in Halifax-and they are super easy to schedule - even on very short notice. They've packed my belongings on several of my moves and did it extremely carefully - they ask questions for specific instructions to make sure everything goes exactly the way you want. They've dissembled and reassembled my bed frame every time - not an easy task. The moving guys were very friendly and cheery and the customer support guys are reliable and communicative. I wouldn't use any other moving company in the future.
