They have had my package for 4 days but wouldn't deliver it because we are 3.5 km outside Kimberley. That's literally like 5 minutes out of town, come on!

If I could give minus stars, I would. This is the worst courier EVER. I don't even have a choice to not use their "service", because it is contracted through UPS as the local delivery. I had five parcels returned because they somehow thought we moved. Before they got the contract, I never had any problems with receiving my shipments with Purolater when they had the contract to deliver for UPS. I just received another notice today that yet another parcel was returned... I have contacted Dacota numerous times, and assured them we have not moved, yet the problems continue. I am losing business now because of them. Words cannot express my frustration and anger with this whole situation... and I'm an easy-going person who understands we can all make mistakes. . But this is ridiculous. It is my belief that Dacota should not be in business.

I live just down the street and they always insist I come and pick up my package myself. Tracking updates always say delivery was attempted but it never is and I almost never get a call saying they have it.

I can not say enough positive things about Dacota Freight! They were so helpful and responsive and literally saved my weekend and took a great stress off my plate by hustling short notice to get a part from Cranbrook to Fairmont ... I called them at noon and had the part by 1:30 pm. The best service and nicest folks... on top of all that they didn't use this as an opportunity to overcharge me ...nope not these folks they are kind and honest and very reasonably priced!!! Thanks Dean as I said you are a saint!!!!!

Dacota has taken on the ups contract for this area unfortunately, and has reduced delivery service from packages arriving on time at my door in town, to a phone call pick-up-your-own-package service. Essentially, they seem to pocket the money for delivery and make you pick up your package instead. Your amazon prime account means nothing in cranbrook anymore. Purolator used to deliver ups packages fluidly in town for almost a decade before this giant step back in time happened.

We have only had good experiences with Dacota - especially when trying to track down Fedex packages coming to Golden BC. They answer the phone, are friendly, and are small enough that they actually know what is going on with their business. 5 stars for sure!

Dacota Freight always provides spectacular customer service even given the challenges of a very busy Christmas season. Throw in a Canada Post strike and Greyhound going out of business and this locally owned and operated freight company has been inundated with an immense volume of freight. Even with all of that, they keep a smile on their face and go above and beyond to try and make everyone happy and are working tirelessly to get us all of our packages on time! Kudos to you Dacota.

You are Ups right ? But yet when I search ups Cranbrook your company doesn't come up and it sends me to a different company that's not ups ,maybe it's time for the incompetent owner to sell dacota freight to someone with the skills to update there Google info for the customers !I will also be placing a complaint with ups Canada as well about the incompetence of dacota frieght !

The worst delivery company in Cranbrook. I rarely get my parcels when I'm suppose to. My last one was covered in oil as were the contents of my parcel. They are rude and unprofessional. Don't use them

We use Dacota for most of our outgoing shipments and all of our FedEx express shipping. Never an issue. The lady who answers the phone is always pleasant, the drivers are nice and packages are always picked up and delivered without issue. Would recommend to anyone.

Terrible service! For a company that is a delivery service, they don't deliver to your door even within city limits but expect that you pick it up. Even worse though is that they lie about it to UPS and say that they tried to deliver several times before you get a phone call to pick it up.

Like going back to the 80's. 3 people in the office and not one even lifts there head. To busy eating Timmies and texting. 5 minutes later a young guy walks through the door and asks if ive been helped. Why have a business if your customer service doesn't exist? Hire and TRAIN your employees or send them packing! It's amazing how bad service is when your company is busy and has the majority of the market in a small town, yet they would be the first to complain if a big corp came in and ran a professional service

Absolutely horrific experience with Dacota Freight. A Dacota driver fraudulently signed MY NAME on a shipment requiring a signature. Avoid this company at all costs.

I agree the service is terrible,I don't want to paint all employees with the same brush but training is needed on manners, respect, and customer service. A friendly smile and how may I help you goes a long way, no need to be rude and treat your customer like they're an idiot. No Stars!!!!

Horrible service, or to be more precise, no service. They advertise that they deliver to our area (6 minutes outside of Kimberley) and the shipping is paid for door to door service but they refuse to come out here and insist on me driving an hour to pickup. Unfortunately they are the only courier to Kimberley for Fedex, UPS and Purolator. Canad Post is my favorite now.
