We had a cash sale 10 day closing on our house that put my plans into a tale-spin. I had already set up a moving date that had to be changed with very little notice. Even though they were already booked, Justin Hillier was able to work me in. He was so accommodating and very thoughtful when putting together a price and solution for me. Justin was very professional when he came to the house to give me a proposal, more so than any of the other moving companies I looked at. I was very grateful he worked to accommodate me during a very stressful situation. It was wonderful to work with such a thoughtful sales person.

Absolutely the best! From the estimation process to the move and caring for valuables in the process these guys are pros. There are plenty of guys out there with a strong back and a truck but most lack the attention to detail required to move all the things you have worked a lifetime for...Preferred Moving took extra care to lay cardboard and plastic on carpets, and hardwood, communicated what to expect and delivered. Dave, Bob, Stella Brian and the rest of the crew all knew their rolls and went about their jobs professionally. They worked fast but intelligently and made a tough move in less than desirable conditions look effortless. I hope I don’t have to move again anytime soon but if I do I will not use anyone other than Preferred. Great job guys, my wife and I cannot thank you enough!

We had a very complicated interstate move for my elderly parents where Wheaton / Preferred had to pick up in two locations in one city and then drop off in three locations in the destination city. The move could not have gone more smoothly. Everything ended up in the right place. Communication was excellent throughout the process. The packers, movers and driver were all well-organized, kind, patient, careful people. I recommend them without reservation!

I moved on June 3rd and used Preferred Moving & Storage, was more than completely satisfied and soo glad this is the company I decided to use. They were on time, super friendly, courteous, respectful of all my belongings, went out of their way for me the entire time, really felt like they went over and above with every single thing they did. The day of the move it was very hot, I had way more stuff than I realized, way more stuff than any of us anticipated and it was such a long day for this moving crew! This was just an outstanding experience from the quote to the move completing. It was only a 1bedroom apartment from Detroit back out to the Northern burbs but this could have not been better. This review has been long over due. This company will take care of your whole move for you. Everyone from the movers to the lovely ladies in the office were just so nice and friendly. It felt like I was among friends. They got the job done way before their estimated hours they thought the job would be. Special shout out to Justin H. - He was absolutely amazing to work with. He was my point of contact from beginning to finish. He was patient and extremely professional. He pays attention to detail and is quick to respond. He helped me coordinate my move last minute. My building management had booked me on a different day than what I had requested. So I was left scrambling the week before the end of the month to find a company that was open on my day of moving. Justin was able to put me at ease immediately. He was able to make things work for my specific day and the stress was gone. After the move, I noticed that my umbrella was missing - had it been one that I had bought from the store I wouldn't have reached out but because it had sentimental value, I wanted it back. I reached out to Justin ready to make time to travel the 30 minutes to get to their location. No, Justin brought it to me at my work. I was so taken back. My wife and I had a nightmare experience with them. The movers were very nice and worked hard, but unfortunately management did a poor job of planning. They quoted us for 12 hours and the job took 20. The worst part is the workers were allowed to work from 8 a.m. until 2 a.m., completely inconveniencing my family. The workers were so exhausted that many of my things were not put in correct places and we're not put back together. I had boxes labeled fragile that had boxes piled on top of them. I don't know if they're not able to handle a large job, which mine was. The thing that made me most angry was that Henry was not willing to budge much on price even after admitting how screwed up everything was. We finally agreed at a reasonable price, but I still don't feel like I got any kind of a discount for my problems.

Our experience in moving from Michigan to Wisconsin in the winter with Preferred Moving and Storage was first class and seamless. Being that it was winter, very cold and snowing, they were extremely careful in making sure carpeting at the old house and new condo were covered so as not to damage the carpet with salt, ice and snow. They were very professional and pleasant. The driver took care of our belongings as if they were his own. They were veru quickly and efficiently despite the cold weather they had to deal with. When, if we move again, I would certainly call them to move us and would recommend them to anyone else.

Truck driver review: Easy location to get to. GPS might tell you to use Hwy 3 NB but I wouldn't bother. You can use the parking lot to stage, no need to do a blind side in the street. Staff is friendly and unload quickly
