I was extremely impressed by the professionalism and customer-focused attitude of the 4 "hunks" that came to move my house. They were prompt and turned up exactly as expected and after a very long day they had moved my 3000 square feet of furniture and belongings 56 kms to my new home. The owner, Leon, was the one to show up and quote us. He was very accurate, very professional, was respectful of my property and my family and was very competitive in price. We hired them after having about 6 quotes. They were the best! (And the only ones that quoted in person). We received 2 follow up calls making sure we were ready to go and prepared for the move. On moving day they showed up 15 min before our time (yay!) Moved quickly, and I'd hire them again in a heartbeat! All moved in by 1pm! Yahoo! 5 stars!

Spencer and Charlie were the best movers we have ever had! From the moment of arrival they were professional and prepared. Charlie walked me through all the necessary paperwork in an efficient manner that was easy to understand. The furniture was nicely wrapped and secured during transport which reassured in the commute to our new house. Charlie and Spencer moved effortlessly throughout both locations, manipulating the furniture to fit without any damage. Even though we had a very small load, they managed to get move done in a good amount of time. However, I think the best part of this move was their friendly demeanor. I chose College Hunks because they will carry items from the basement rather than only curbside. Last evening I filled out an online form and to my surprise within 5min an agent called me. We booked an appointment for this afternoon to move a washer and dryer from my basement. The dryer was to be hauled away and the washer was to remain in my garage. Although I really needed 2 big guys to move the washer half a block away to a friend's house. Her house is visible from my house. Unfortunately the company phone agent had told me that moving is a 3 hr minimum so it would cost over $600. No thank-you. I would have given 5 stars but took a star away for that and also for the extra $40 charge to leave the washer in my garage. I didn't know about this during the initial run down of cost for the job (I was told likely $100 plus tax). I only found out about the $40 at the end. I have to add that Lucas and Nick were amazing!! They're 2 Big guys who definitely know how to move appliances with care. They laid down a long runner mat on my wood floors. Furthermore they were really friendly and I felt like I had known them for years. I'm impressed. These guys get a thumbs up for stellar service. I miss them already.

Connor and Shaq were a dream team! I had a pile of miscellaneous garbage from the previous owners I had finally taken out of the garage, and I knew I couldn’t handle the job on my own, so that’s when I called College Hunks. Connor made sure I was informed on how the pricing worked before they started the job, and right after that, he and Shaq quickly got rid of my pile. Kindness and efficiency, two of my favourite things and the best way to describe these men. I also love the call before arrival so that I have an idea of when I get out of my PJs and time to locate a mask. That’s another thing, they wore masks the entire time, and I appreciate that, and it made me feel safe. I will use this company again for sure!

The whole HUNKS experience was smooth from smart to finish. I called to ask some questions and then booked an appointment the next week! Brant and Dylan called ahead of showing up, quickly moved the junk (mostly furniture) out of my tiny apartment and to take it away from me forever. The whole move took about 15 minutes. Please Rename the Organisation to - "College Hunks Wasting Time and Slowly Moving". I've moved several times and by far this is the worst company to hire for moving services. Overview- " Our move of out of townhouse into another, consisting of two adults and a child, was given an initial estimate of about 6 hours with a reasonable price. Despite ensuring that the movers would have an easy time to move stuff, they took almost double the time in the process by one mover simply laying around and doing nothing except neatly arrange the boxes in the truck like it was a shopping mall". Here are some details: 1. Movers arrive on time as expected, get us to sign the paper work, take a quick look around the house and start the moving process. 2. Unprofessional Fault # 1 - They don't have sufficient rolling carpets and hence they soil the entire floor with their dirty shoes. 3. Unprofessional Fault # 2 - Except for the TV's, despite having sufficient protective blankets, they don't use them to cover up delicate areas of each furniture (Other movers did it for us, but not these guys - apparently a lack of common sense has become quite common these days). 4. Unprofessional Fault # 3 - If three people are hired to do the moving job, it is expected that at any given time, they do some loading/unloading. In this case, one guy was doing the heavy lifting, disassembling and moving furniture. The second guy was supporting him and LOL the third guy was "WAITING" in the truck arranging/re-arranging the boxes. I even heard one of them say that - "Hey if you are disassembling the bed, I'll just wait here" - REALLY? That's what you are getting paid for? - "WAITING"? To top this up, in order to help them out and speed up the process, I left my family unattended in order to move as much stuff as possible in the truck - but my efforts didn't make much difference, as they were either "WAITING" or moving stuff from one floor to the garage instead of loading directly into the truck. 5. When I requested them to speed up in the interest of chargeable hourly time, they started moving the furniture slowly - giving an excuse that - "WE DON'T WANT TO DAMAGE YOUR WALLS". - Professionals don't say this. What we expect as customers is - "DON'T WORRY, WE GOT THIS". Despite my suggestions that some specific furniture needs to be disassembled in order to move it quickly, they simply taped it around without any protective blanket, thus damaging the doors and hinges in the moving. 6. After a turtle slow process, we finally packed up in 5 hours with 1.5 hours of the estimate left to reach the destination and unload. 7. Prior to arriving at the new house, I had requested their "CAPTAIN" that to speed up the process & save time, they could quickly move the heavy furniture items and mattresses, and then unload the boxes and luggage. As my budget would be shot by a huge amount, I asked their Captain to speed up and he said "We can keep everything else in the Garage, and you can take care of it after". I had to accept it as he said it might take another two hours to move the boxes to specific rooms. - " Why all this happened?" - Because they were SLOW & CONFUSED MOVERS" - Clearly these were students who lacked common sense when it came to moving stuff. 8. The final bill was shocking - Their incompetency, lack of sufficient moving material (runners and blankets to be specific), and lazy moving process, cost us almost twice the amount given in the initial estimate. 9. After paying the bill, I immediately called their customer service and gave an earful of my complaints. Their response was totally unprofessional and one of them even said that - "If your previous movers were good, why did you hire us?" - For this I agree - "YOU GUYS SHOULD SHUT DOWN YOUR COMPANY SO THAT BETTER MOVERS CAN PROGRESS IN THIS BUSINESS". They refused to listen to our concerns and kept on arguing unreasonably. I had to finally end the call as it was getting too annoying and disrespectful. Long Story Short - DO NOT HIRE THESE GUYS - They will most likely scam you into paying more money.

I really appreciated the phone estimate, courtesy call before arrival, and then finalized onsite estimate after they saw the amount to be removed. I had been trying to coordinate the purchase and pickup for about 5 days, called at 8:30 on a Saturday morning and by 9 I was told they would help. Can’t say enough about how nice and helpful the guys were. Had to take off the inside door to get the fridge in and then put it back on after. They unpacked the refrigerator from the styrofoam and wheeled it into place plugged it in and took all the packaging with them. Thank you for the quick delivery. ????

Both gentlemen were professional and broke down what I was paying for and some of the history of the Hunks. It was really great to know that they try to make sure they can donate as much as they can. I only had five bags of things, but they took it away and after I paid they STILL asked if there was anymore (so polite, amazing!). From the beginning inquiry process, through the website and on the phone, everyone was so professional, friendly and helpful. We moved around 13 boxes, a queen bed, frame, tall bookshelf and a nightstand. Our movers Anthony and Patrick were incredibly helpful. They called us before they got here, they were on time and so clear in all their communication. They were very prepared too. At the destination they even helped screw the bookshelf to the wall and they came up with a creative solution on the spot. They assembled the bed quickly and brought up all the boxes to our fourth storey condo efficiently. best moving experience by far! Very happy! Fletcher and Emerson arrived earlier than expected, and worked hard at clearing my place neatly and efficiently! They brought along tools to disassemble furniture as needed, and were very respectful and always checked with me what should and shouldn't be hauled away. While the quote was for less, I had more than they expected, and they were upfront with their prices. For prospective customers, the first 30 minutes they're on site is free, but labour is charged; it's best to make sure things are bagged, boxed, and ready to move for the smoothest experience. However, as mentioned, they're also happy to deconstruct and pack stuff for you. Book online, and they'll call to discuss the job and give a quote. It was easy to setup, and a hassle-free appointment day of!

The quote I was given originally was what they honoured until things took a little longer than anticipated. It was a long day, but they never made it seem like it was a concern! Worst experience of my life. On the phone very professional sounding, but on the job was a total nightmare. Many mistakes were made, the team was messy, items were broken, damage to the house, worst insurance I’ve ever heard of, the team lied to me about breaking stuff. Every time I see my damaged items and scratches on the wood floor it reminds me of the worst service I’ve ever experienced.

Really happy with their moving services. They have all the necessary tools to take care of your stuff when moving. I'd suggest buying mattress covers for $10 instead of renting theirs for $19/each. Since they're time based I'd also suggest having everything packed and ready. They will let you help move but you're not allowed on the truck for liability issues. I'd suggest that they sweep their moving truck because we did get some pieces of glass into the house and it definitely wasn't from any of our items. It came in on the shoes of the movers.

In February 2021, I had reached out to College Hunks to help with some junk removal including an electric fireplace (identifiable as an electric fireplace only once removed), that was stuck between the wooden beams of the garage roof (carriage style home) from before I bought the house. Everything from calling to book the service, to the execution on the day of the removal, was handled with utmost care and professionalism. Lucas and Damon from the Oakville office called before arriving, they had to get a longer ladder than what they had originally expected, but they figured it out and picked one on their way over. They worked together, quietly, and with great care not to cause any damage to the property. In fact, they took a few other junk items for me as well that fit in the fee for the space on their truck. In the middle of the pandemic, I am finding some business standards and practices slipping. I am so grateful for College Hunks for creating a stress free experience at a fair price. Thank you guys! Hired This co to move my dismantle my treadmill and move it to my sons place. I asked specifically before I booked whether they were experienced with dismantling exercise equipment and moving. Within 5 mins they managed to pull out the motorized wheels for the incline out of its tracks and could not get them ba k in in order to move it safely and without risking damage. Had to get the movers to abandon moving the tread mill. Nice young men but total amateurs. Do not use this co at all for anything complicated especially exercise equipment. When I told them I was t happy with the service and if there was anything they could do - defensive and didn’t even bother to call his mgr etc. I will never this co to anyone - ever. The field staff seem poorly supported and lack training or life lines.

I have used College Hunks in the past for junk removal so it was a no brainer to reach out to them again when we decided to get rid of our "doggie couches" that were well loved along with some other items that were cluttering up our house. My husband and I attempted to move a sectional from downstairs to our main floor and it nearly resulted in grievous bodily harm and death. Try as we might, we could not seem to get the sectional arm to fit through the narrow doorframe at the top of the stairs which resulted in me accidentally letting go of the couch - nearly crushing my husband as the full weight of the sectional slammed into him while he was precariously balanced mid staircase. It did not make for a night of marital bliss. In an effort to avoid death, dismemberment, and/or divorce, we asked College Hunks to handle the furniture moving for us. Best decision we ever made. Connor and Cole got the sectional up the stairs without any issues and helped place it in our living room. I kid you not, they had the sectional up the stairs in less than 1 minute - a task that my husband and I nearly spent an hour trying to accomplish with me nearly having a coronary trying to hold an entire sectional while figuring out to get it through the door frame, and him nearly been run over by a runaway locomotive of a sectional down the stairs when I couldn't hold on any longer. If you value your relationship and the health of your partner/spouse/etc, do yourself a favor and leave it to the professionals. Service with College Hunks is worth every penny.

I originally booked with this company after having read SEVERAL positive reviews. Unfortunately I did not receive the quality of service that the other reviewers had. Extremely displeased with the service and would absolutely not recommend to anyone I know. There were some factors on my end that came into play that made the move take longer than anticipated... but in large part it was due to the fact that the movers were standing around "discussing" how to move things when there were several other items that they could've moved in the meantime. I basically paid for close to $200 for conversation. Not only that, there were three gentlemen and one of them basically did nothing. I would've been far more satisfied paying for the two that were actually working hard. Super displeased, disappointed, and extremely unsatisfied.

They arrived slightly earlier than the appointed time so it provided some more time to delegate what needed to be moved and what needed to stay. Jules and Nathan were extremely friendly and did a superb job moving the furniture. For the fragile things such as TVs they came prepared with boxes and blankets specifically for TVs which made the move easier. Despite it being a hot day they worked diligently and I was happy to provide them some food and refreshments as they worked especially since it was quite early in the morning and the work lasted a bit into the afternoon past lunch time. I highly suggest their services for any moving needs and please be kind and patient with them or any labour intensive work, it is not an easy job and can be very tiring.

We needed "muscle" to help us move items from a storage bin after an "eight month" basement renovation. I sent an online request for an estimate at 10pm or so and got a call within 15 mins. So don't request at night if you aren't looking for prompt service...lol After that initial call, the next morning I recieved a call from the local owner Peter, and finalized the details of what I needed. Great customer service! Oh and I had to push the date out by a couple of days after I had booked to deal with mice in the bin. Peter was very understanding and said not a problem. He even followed up a couple of days after to see how we were making out! The day of, I recieved a text message saying the Hunks were on their way and then a call asking if it was ok to come a bit early. Heck yah!! My Hunks were AHMED, MIGUEL AND DAMON. From the start, when Ahmed explained the paperwork, thru to complication, communication was excellent. They asked me where every piece should go and were great about me changing my mind. I liked that they kept a steady place and didn't waste anytime. They were actually done faster than the original estimate!! They pointed out a couple of accidental dings that occurred and took responsibility. Far less dings than if we had done it ourselves that's for sure. Peter even stopped by to see how things were going. Really great. They worked the full hour and asked if there was anything else that they should or could help us with. ALL AND ALL A+++++. They also do Junk removal. I feel like I will be calling them in the near future!! Thanks so much College Hunks. I highly recommend!!!!!

He also let me know that with my job they did today, a portion of the proceeds went to a food charity. How wonderful is that?? Anyway, these guys were super amazing and this helped more than you know. The value of this service is pretty good considering I paid 100 bucks one time to have one small sofa removed. Sorry, I lost the names of the hunks... Hopefully you can look it up! Overall the guys did a great job loading, moving, and unloading our stuff and we are extremely happy with them. I was a bit disappointed by the quoting process - the price I was told at first did not include the price of driving outside of Edmonton, although I was explicitly told it did. It mislead my into believing the price was significantly lower than it turned out to be, which affected the amount of relocation allowance I negotiated with my employer. Later, I was given a range of prices for the quote, but in reality the price I ended up paying turned out to be higher than the highest estimate because the move took longer, although I feel that this was due to the longer than expected travel time between Edmonton and Calgary. I understand such things are tough to predict, but I would assume that the company has enough experience to give reliable "worst-case-scenario" estimates for travel times, not the overly optimistic ones. Again, this has nothing to do with the actual movers (hunks) these guy did an amazing job. P.S. One mirror was broken during the move, but it was reimbursed as if it was a new one, which eas nice. No hard feelings here, it happens.

We had a move very recently with College Hunks. The initial quote was for about 50-60 boxes, 3 crew and 1 truck. One of the reps came to our house a few weeks before the move to quote, so he saw all of the items that would need to go into the truck for our move. The quote was then determined, as listed above and we agreed. On the day, the crew showed up, were professional and did a decent job. It was cold, so I understand that conditions were not ideal for moving. However, this move took almost 8 hours total and they didn't have enough room in the truck for all of our stuff. I needed to go rent a u-haul to finish up the rest. When I asked the crew supervisor about this, he said "Well the original quote was for about 50 boxes, and it was more like 120, and there was some miscellaneous items that were not able to go into boxes." This response was quite disappointing, considering he showed up to the house weeks prior to see all of these items and assess for an accurate quote. Either the original estimate was grossly miscalculated or he just didn't bother to look at all the items....I wouldn't have minded the extra time, if they would have been able to take all of the items they originally said they could...instead it costed me more money, time and inconvenience to rent another truck to finish the job. I wouldn't say it was a terrible experience, but the added time and cost to rent a u-haul to finish up the move was enough for me not to recommend this company to anyone. The whole reason we hired movers was so that we didn't have to rent a truck and move ourselves....in the end, it was just so disappointing and created extra work that was never needed.

Thank you! Original issue: Cleaning out my mother's estate December 21 2021. I hired college hunks because I thought I wouldn't have problems getting rid of my mother's planters full of dirt and the furniture on the deck as they're a big company and should be able to service all my needs. I made the mistake letting my partner work with them while I continued to pack. They took everything from house but the planters with dirt and the furniture on the deck and only told my partner when they were done the house that they couldn't take the planters because the dump wouldn't take the dirt. So nothing on my mother's deck was removed.

I recently used College Hunks Hauling Junk for Junk removal for the contents of my garage and shed and was very pleased with their service. I also wanted to use their service because they make an active effort to divert usable items/recyclable materials from the landfill. If you are concerned where your waste ends up - do yourself a favor and call the hunks. They won an Emerald Award in 2019. They have partnered with the Good Will Impact Centre and Habitat for Humanity in Edmonton too so it's easy to donate furniture. The job I tasked them with was quite large and they actually ended up making 3 different trips because the amount of stuff I was getting rid of was deceiving. I had only booked one truck at the beginning of the week was worried that they wouldn't be able to come back for the next load the same week. But the hunks were able to come out twice in the middle of the week to get it all done. My garage was filled with stuff from not just myself and my husband, but from my parents and my grandparents. I'm fairly certain there were things in the garage that had not been moved/touched since the 1980's. Not to mention that it has been overrun by squirrels and so there was a lot of extra dust and debris. It was not what I would consider a fun junk removal experience, but both Conner and Jules were friendly and smiling despite the conditions. Brant was great to coordinate the second and third moves with, and even came out personally to handle the second move. When he realized that I was going to need a third load to haul everything away, he decided to snap pictures of everything that remained and forward it to the crew scheduled for the next day so I didn't have to be home to instruct. Despite knowing that I was not going to be home, the third crew still gave me a courtesy call when they were on their way and everything was perfect when I got home. They even swept the back walk clean. Would highly, highly recommend the hunks for any job - big or small.

I hired College Hunks for local moving. From the beginning this company was very professional & on-time. Brant's quote was really accurate, no surprise and over charge. He even showed up on the moving day and helped us out quite a bit. Justin and his 3 crews were the same way. Very polite, detailed & accommodating. I could see that they moved our stuff as if they're theirs. I presume their training program is well defined. Most of all, I was worried about COVID risks in this time, but they sanitized all of their gears and trucks, as well as wearing their masks all the time.
