We’ve recently completed a move from South-Western Ontario to Vancouver Island, BC with the help of AMJ Campbell - London. Having moved several times over the years we elected to have AMJ Campbell come in and do the packing for us and I’m certainly glad we did. Both the team that came to pack our belongings and the team that came to wrap and load them into the truck the following day were awesome and easy to work with. I have to say, it felt a little strange to sit back while other people worked on our behalf but they were far more efficient than we would have been. The gentleman who happened to be working in the same room we were in certainly put us at our ease with his efficient, personable, and friendly personality as things were being final wrapped and packed. It was also nice that we were able to meet the driver who would transport our belongings across the country. All of our things arrived in good time and off-loading went quickly. The driver ensured that we were satisfied that we had all of our things and that they were all in good condition, which they were. I can’t imagine I will be making such a move again but, if I did, I wouldn’t hesitate to use AMJ Campbell again.

A Smooth Move. Recently moved about 160 km with AMJ Campbell London. It was our first time using this company and we were very happy. They do a virtual review of the contents of your home to build a quote over FaceTime due to COVID. Gary was very kind, professional, and knowledgeable. The actual moving day went very smoothly. These guys really work hard - they carefully wrapped all items in blankets to ensure no damage. We did the packing and they did the lifting. None of our items were damaged, and we had lots of glass, older furniture, etc. I thought we would have at least some damage, but everything arrived perfectly. They only took 60 minutes of break time over a 12-hour shift, and worked steadily without any feet-dragging. We went three hours over our quote, and the movers were very professional, never complained, never stopped working hard. We even had a couch going into the basement in a very narrow area, and they were able to take the doors off the hinges without any difficulty, and replace them without any hassle. They really knew what they were doing. As mentioned, our quote was off by three hours, but I felt it was very fair for the amount of work and effort put in. The financial part of things went smoothly and was very transparent. We were both very happy with the service and will definitely use them again in the future.

He was knowledgable, helpful and very funny!!! After a quick but detailed FaceTime tour of the home (during COVID I appreciated this service . . .it was quick and effortless), I received a quote within two business days. His prompt response allowed us to seek two other competitive bids that same day . . . with our CAA discount Gary was able to come in with a successful quote and signed the deal that same evening. We are so pleased we found a mover, we feel confident in the six emails and two phone conversations we've had between us over the last few days!! Came to the house for a personal review of goods and fast quote (none of the other 4 companies even responded to the request). Arrived on time to move goods onto their truck and handled everything with care ...and packaged up any items that were fragile. Delivered to the storage units on Vancouver island on time as promised ...and separated items in to the 2 storage units for ease of access. We contacted AMJ Campbell through a work association link. Our agent Chantel Murray was quite friendly and professional in her estimating visit and provided a prompt quote. We selected AMJ paty because of her demeanour which made us very comfortable with selecting and using this company. We compared this quote to others received and we were pleased with result. One day before our loading date we received a call from the company to confirm readiness and for them to advise of their arrival time. The truck and three loadets arrived right on time, did the walk through and immediately began their load. All three were courteous and easy to work with as we were both able to interact easily. They completed their loading at the expected time, actually about 30 minutes earlier. Damage was minimal - one small mark in drywall on stairs which I repaired quickly myself. The next day, they arrived at the new location to unload but with the same driver and two new loaders. I recommend the load-on and load-off staff remain the same as they know what they packed and loaded which might save some time and confusion at the unload. Once again they were on time to their finish time. Very little damage - one door handle bent on an IKEA cabinet. Crew was excellent and we provided them with pizza for lunch. They cleaned up their matts everywhere. They provided us with an accurate bill on completion and we paid with a credit card. An overall great experience with AMJ Campbell. Would use them again!!

I've used AMJ Campbell 4 times in the last 4 years, thet are always on time, professional, fast and very friendly. All my belongings were safely wrapped and transported without any damage, both for local and cross country moves. I will continue to use them for any moves I have in the future because their movers are efficient, respectful, honest and polite. Moved from 6 bedroom to same. Started at 9 and finished at 9. 12 hrs in 32 degrees. 5 Guys worked liked crazy..made it all happen and were very good. Took regular breaks due to heat, no damaged items and everything arrived wrapped and ready. Hate moving..but they were all very polite asked were everything went with no problems. We thought we had our move completely booked and then he completely ghosted us. We called a left multiple vms. No answer. Now we are 3 weeks away with no movers. Worst customer service ever. Disgusted that they find this acceptable.

An absolute disaster. My delivery was suppose to be sent two weeks ago, but it was lost. Finally I received a call last night regarding drop off the next day. I confirmed this date and time. Today I receive a call saying my delivery will be here in 10 minutes. The "10 min" is now 2 hrs, and it's past the given window. Also, the 3 pm to 7 pm time they gave me for delivery falls outside their business hours, so I can't even get in contact with them. Oh and did I mention this is to replace damaged parts from my original order?

Their at home delivery service is a nightmare. I shop at a local furniture store who uses them for delivery. Dealing with the home delivery service is awful. They could not get a simple delivery order completed. First issue is they forgot half the order then could not bring the other half until several days later. Second issue a last minute delivery cancellation for no reason. Then the follow up date is well beyond the original delivery window. I did not chose to deal with AMJ Campbell but if you have the choice look elsewhere. Delivery drivers were nice however. Appears the issue is with management and dispatch.

From start to finish we had the dream team of Gord for the quote to glen from barrie and his amazing crew. we had a few heavy pieces and these young men worked non stop without any complaints. they were very manerable and pleasant to work with. they took care to double wrap and couple of huge china cabinets. i have a lot of christmas breakables and they treated them with care. At our new location they encountered some obstacles and used their heads to make it work easier and safely. i would highly recommend AMJ’s teams for your next move. The lack of worry about moving items a long distance yourself is worth every penny. Just 6 days later and we are pretty much unpacked and ready to begin our new adventure. Great moving personnel, extremely poor administration. Two and half star experience. The reason I selected AMJ Campbell for our move two months ago was because I had a wonderful experience with them fifteen years ago. When I shifted my base from the U.S. to Canada so many years ago, AMJ Campbell had performed a thoroughly admirable job in full service move – complete packing of my residence as well as office, professional transfer of all my belongings including my expensive vehicle, and complete unpacking and (partial) arrangement of my belongings in my new residence as well as my new office. But, alas, AMJ Campbell (U.S.) and AMJ Campbell (Canada) are no matching entities. The current move (within Canada) was a significantly simpler and low effort job – moving the belongings of my girlfriend, who lead a very sparse existence (the movers themselves said that this was the simplest and quickest full house move they have done in years) to our new joint residence twenty kilometers away. On the positive side, the three actual moving guys were very hardworking, very thorough and professional, and did a competent job. But far more unpalatable was the administrative interaction with the company – specifically with the moving consultant named Chantel Murray. While we were shopping around for movers, she showed obviously fake enthusiasm and involvement. But once we decided that we will go with her company, things changed drastically: (a) she became almost unreachable – will rarely pick up the phone or respond to emails, and (b) in the rare occasions when she condescended us with a response, she was arrogant, unprofessional, unhelpful and snootily patronizing. The change in personality – before and after finalization of movers – was drastic. Then we found out the real reason for her inexcusable behavior and attitude: she let personal conflict of interest get better of her professional judgement. She was interested in the very same house we were moving into, and in the bidding process, she had lost out to us! So her unprofessional attitude to us was her payback to us! In short, the three hardworking guys were fantastic. But if Chantel Murray is in picture – bypass AMJ Campbell London altogether…

I was very frustrated with the customer service because I had to phone or email numerous times without getting replies. I would give days for the representative to answer but nothing. I finally asked to speak to his boss and then got an answer. He also seemed to think he knew my decision without first asking me (like which day to book the movers) and then this just required more contacting. He told me the final price would be based on a matrix but what he didn't tell me is that as the weight decreases, the rate increases. I tried to cut my costs by decreasing the weight only to find out that since I had 3000 pounds or less, there is an additional small load fee and that the rate had increased. It would have been so helpful to just have a simple explanation like I have just given. There was really not going to be much of a difference between the initial quote and the final cost. May I suggest that you not give the impression that there will be a measurable change?? I packed my mattresses and TV but this was not communicated to the accounting so they sent me invoices with those charges and that meant more changes needed to be made. Not once did I receive an apology from the representative but rather he blamed the accounting. Accounting did apologize even though it wasn't their error. I thought I was dealing with AMJ Campbell but when the movers came, I found out that the move was being done by someone under Atlas. This meant further delay in getting a refund of the over charge. It was finally done but after much follow-up and waiting. The movers themselves were good as far as handling the goods. They had forgotten their toolbox when they picked up my goods so used mine!! When they unloaded, they were running out of time so asked if I minded putting the few pieces of furniture together that were their responsibility. By that time I was quite willing to do it and be done with the move!! One of my reasons for choosing AMJ Campbell was their partnership with CAA. Hindsight -- I likely wouldn't do it again but would look very seriously at other companies.

Moving with this company has been a HUGE headache. Items that were of particular concern for us were noted in the contract. They were among the items to arrive with greatest damage. In particular my husband’s kayak needs extensive repairs. Many items arrived broken, with missing legs or the paitrubbed off. They had to come back a second time with boxes not delivered the first time when the driver had previously confirmed we had everything, even though my husband’s tracking showed otherwise. An art piece, a Roman Relief reproduction, is still out there somewhere having traveled back to Ontario. I called the driver as soon as we realized we did not have it. He confirmed it was still on the truck and would be dropped off at the nearest agent to be couriered back to us. (He knew right away what I was talking about so why didn’t he call to let us know and what was being done about it?) That was 8 weeks ago and we are still waiting. I have made several calls to several people including the general manager. Not one of them has followed through on their promises to return it to us ASAP. When deadlines were missed and I called I got excuses and never a phone call to apologize or keep me in the loop. Another important piece seems to be completely lost with no insight into where it is. And no apology for loosing it. Do yourself a favour and choose another company.

The crew who showed up to perform the move was excellent. Very professional, and efficient at their jobs. The branch manager James was also very professional and communicated the appropriate expectations with me prior to the crew showing up. The experience leading up to the move day was very frustrating. Being spoken to in all capitals through email because Gary Fisk wouldn't call me back when numerous messages were left, was less than appropriate. I had to call into the office after I sent Gary the signed contract, because he never confirmed receipt of the document, nor confirmation of the date. It is sad that their sales team has such poor communication. If additional frustration leading up to the move day is what you are after, then these are your guys.
