Had a move booked with them they told me I was all set with a confirmation for the date talked about. Moving day arrives and guess what... nobody showed up! Left us high and dry. Called no answer no return phone calls, no texts. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!

This was the best moving experience by far. This company took the time to protect all of my furniture which I was very happy about. Marcus and Tez were very friendly and knowledgeable about how my belongs would fit into the freight elevator of my new apartment complex in Downtown Detroit. I would highly recommend this company to everyone!

Unbelievably unreliable, lies all lies. Waiting all day Sunday for these ppl to call and lie about their truck being down..... said they would come out on Monday early afternoon called them from 5 different numbers to get an answer for them to say yaaaaaa we aren’t going to do your move after waiting for another 5hrs for them. People do not understand what it means to do good busines now a days I personally own 2 business in macomb and would not in a million years treat a client like this I could go on for days but I’ve wasted enough time on these so called business owners.

I've hired them the last 3 times we moved. I've been satisfied every single time. They've always been on time. They get things done fast. None of my furniture was ever damaged. Nothing broken. The guys have always been very polite. I literally have no complaints. 5 out of 5 stars. I plan on moving to North Carolina in the future and will be hiring them again. Also I want to add that they really are affordable, coming from a single mother of 3.

Horrible. Stay away. Used their "service" back in January. I had booked this company weeks in advance of our moving date as it was crucial for us to be out of the house by that date. On the day of the move they had forgot about my appointment and then notified me that the lease on their moving truck expired and they would be a little late while they get that figured out. Long story short, they were 10 hours late and came with a uHaul truck they had rented, ha. Luckily I was able to pack and transport most of the stuff with my family beforehand. All they had to move was a few big pieces of furniture (took them two hours and they still demanded more than half of what they quoted me for a full day of work). To summarize, this company is dishonest, horrible at communicating, and quite simply a scam. Edit: The owner has since tried to discredit this review lol. I have screenshots that I can attach of communication with him if he continues to deny this. I am in no way related to any of the other reviews. For anyone reading this, you can click on my profile and see that I post honest reviews elsewhere as well.

Shockingly did not show up for a confirmed move. No call, no text, no email. Literally nothing. I waited for hours on one of my most important days moving into my first house. Absolutely beside myself that a “business” would operate this way. So, please beware! Your “confirmation email” means nothing, nor does a confirmation phone call. And don’t expect them to answer their phone either or even call to apologize or explain. These people are shameful, unprofessional, and just plain cowards. Moving is stressful enough with so many things to worry about, don’t chance it with these people.... my very painful and costly lesson learned. Btw.. I realize now that the owner is leaving his own positive reviews. Absolute clown.

If more than 1 person is saying your business has done this no call no show, it’s hard not to believe. I personally experienced you not showing up for a friend but we made it work. You have to do better and stop being a sorry excuse for a business. So unprofessional and inconvenient. Only thing fake in your reviews is you. Take accountability for your flaws! One star is too many!! My 84 year old parents hired them to unload their POD yesterday. They were told that they would be there at 9am. They later received a call saying that part of their crew was sick and that the owner and another guy would come a couple hours later. We were totally OK with that...things happen. Then that time came and went and more time passed, and they said they would be there in about 45 minutes. After about another hour and a half, they said that it was raining and they were pulled over on the side of the road, and would be there when the rain slowed down. Never heard from them again! At 4:30, after many unanswered calls and texts to them, we had to round up people to unload it for them because the POD was being picked up the next morning!! They should be ashamed that all that heavy furniture and boxes had to be unloaded by two 84 year olds, and a couple of 60 year olds with bad backs. They should have at least been honest from the beginning, as they had no real intention of showing up.

BE AWARE OF THIS BUSINESS AND OWNER. This company is a complete scam! Unethical, no morals, and do not keep their word. They broke some of my items, including a television! They quoted me one price, with 4 individuals working, then charged me triple the price with only 3 people working. Brian, the owner - completely lied to me. When I brought to him the broken items, he said that his team told me to transport them myself (which was NEVER the case), in fact - I have a Traverse and would have done so had I known that the items may be broken. Needless to say - DO NOT hire this company if you want a decent price and your items moved safely. By the way - he is now running under the name MOTOR CITY MOVERS. I believe he changed his name because of issues. And below he states in his response that I am an ex-employee. I have NEVER worked for this company. I hired them to help me move. I have filed a BBB complaint to help out my fellow Metro Detroit.

I had a sofa to be moved from basement to 1st level and hired these folks to do so. They showed up on time; they were professional; they did a great job for us and were well worth the cost. And as far as cost they gave us a great price for the job. I would certainly use them again.

I am normally not the type of person to post reviews but I feel that with this experience it is the right way to raise awareness for people looking to hire a moving company. Do not deal with these liars and reckless movers, I expect them to reply to this review in condescending and discrediting way much like they have done to every negative review in other sites and their other business pages, but I am most importantly exercising my right of free speech, not intentionally sabotaging any business but calling out attention to those in need to hire a moving company,. My advice to all: STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY AND HIS OTHER COMPANY MOTOR CITY MOVERS LLC! Their quote was very much different than the final cost by double the amount, this of course comes after the owner's underhanded tactics and lack of transparency to the customer by employing a bogus implication that they estimated one thing but it ended up being another. Not only did they break some of my property in transit, they've also damaged walls, ceilings and doors by brute forcing their way in to the new house to move my items in. When it was brought up to this dishonest owner he explicitly said that he would make things right and to give him a week since he would be out of town, which was all lip service to keep us at bay and in order for his crew to get paid, which they did and were tipped well not because of the quality of their work which was below average but because they were acting so amicably and understanding of our situation. A week later comes and he is not returning calls or messages, finally responds by accusing us of lying and that no property was damaged by his crew. Claimed that we coerced them into moving items that they do not move in their trucks due to high risk of damage, in this case, TVs, which of course, is another lie. Excused himself by hiding behind a contract that was never signed nor agreed upon. Accused us of intentionally sabotaging his business by expressing our disdain for the quality of human beings that they are and how they ran away from responsibility. If any of you are looking to hire an honest and diligent moving company, this is not the one neither is MOTOR CITY MOVERS LLC which is also run by them. These are dishonest people looking to take advantage of customers in need. They can reply, accuse and privately threaten all they want with taking legal action over negative reviews but they cannot take a disheartened and disappointed customer's right to publicly assert and exercise their right to free speech when it is not to their convenience. That being said folks, again, BEWARE AND STAY AWAY FROM THIS NO GOOD MOVING COMPANY AND HIS OTHER COMPANY, MOTOR CITY MOVERS LLC!

MOVER BE WARE! THEY MAY NOT SHOW UP !! On August 1st A-ffordable located in Macomb Mi. was scheduled to move my belongings. The owner herself scheduled my appointment and stated that they would arrive between 1pm and 2pm. This was confirmed with the owner the morning of. 2:00 , 2:30. 3:00, 4:00 still no one showed up. I placed several calls and texts messages with no response. Finally at approximately 4:30 the owner husband called and said "they are on the way " no apology or reason for the extreme delay. If he would have attempted to provide one, It would have been a little better because I do understand that things happen. Moving is stressful within it self but for the company that you are depending upon to help you not show up makes it a HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! I typically don't post any web site reviews be it good or bad but I just don't want anyone else to experience this problem with them.
