Hired for a 2-day job – day 1 of disassembling and moving furniture was fine. Day 2 of assembling furniture a complete nightmare. Their attention to detail was non-existent, did not follow instructions provided, damaged my drywall, and did not show common courtesies. Additionally, the owner then argued and berated me on the Thumbtack system about this. The 3 items they were hired to put together have been returned, that is how bad this turned out. I have a hole in my drywall and the owner could not care less. He was only interested in arguing that the items were ‘usable’. Well, I do not want usable – I paid you to install them correctly, not somewhat correctly. That’s the risk of finding a small, no name business on this app. You run the risk that the person(s) you are connecting with are not professionals.

James and his crew at Moving On Up moved us a SECOND TIME! They packed up our 4 bedroom hours and moved us from Akron Ohio to Pittsburgh into a storage unit. They did so well that we promised to hire them again for the 2nd move. It took a little longer to find our home due to COVID, but once we found the House, they responded quickly and got everything scheduled. This move was harder because they had to move things from our storage unit in one side of Pittsburgh, the storage unit that another family member held, and get furniture from a family members house. They loaded up both 26’ trucks and brought it to the new house on the other side of Pittsburgh and unloaded everything quickly in the hot heat. Nothing was broken or damaged, and they did it all with smiles and good attitudes. Their customer service was top notch, prices reasonable, and it is hard to find genuine hard worker like that. I will recommend Moving On Up to many more people!

I highly recommend these guys! They were very flexible with my move date as I wasn’t 100% sure when I was getting keys to my new place. The rate was the best I had seen. He brought a team of guys who worked their butts off. They moved all my things to my new house and took a load to the dump for me saving me the trouble of disposing so much I didn’t need (downsized). Couldn’t have been happier with their service and professionalism!

James and his crew were fantastic. James patiently answered our many questions prior to hiring them to do our move. His crew was extremely friendly and professional throughout the whole, long day. Nothing was broken or harmed during the move (including piano and grandfather clock). The crew happily placed our furniture in the rooms we requested. And, they were reasonably priced compared to the other proposals we received. We would definitely use Movin’ On Up ltd again!

My family and I were very. concerned with having to move during a pandemic and we’ve had bad experiences with moving companies before but Move-on-up far exceeded all expectations. They’re very professional and they were very safe with all the proper PPE. Moving is the worst thing as we all know but they made it as easy as possible. Everything arrived on time and unharmed. I would highly recommend them for any moves!
